The question of whether or not vaccines cause autism was answered by 2008, when the research caught up with real world events, and Hannah Poling was awarded compensation for her vaccine induced autism in the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. By then, the question was no longer "Do vaccines cause autism," but "How do vaccines cause autism?"

Are any of the Covid-19 Vaccines Self-Spreading, Self-Propagating, Transmissible Vaccines?

In 2018, The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Center for Health Security, published Technologies to Address Global Catastrophic Biological Risks.

Among the technologies discussed in the paper, are "Self-Spreading Vaccines." Vaccines that only need be given to a portion of the population, and are then become communicable between individuals, like a virus. Page 47 of the document reads in part:

"Self-spreading vaccines—also known as transmissible or self-propagating vaccines—are genetically engineered to move through populations in the same way as communicable diseases, but rather than causing disease, they confer protection. The vision is that a small number of individuals in the target population could be vaccinated, and the vaccine strain would then circulate in the population much like a pathogenic virus. These vaccines could dramatically increase vaccine coverage in human or animal populations without requiring each individual to be inoculated. This technology is currently aimed primarily at animal populations.”

There are 2 main types of self-spreading vaccines: recombinant vector vaccines and live viral vaccines. recombinant vector vaccines combine the elements of a pathogenic virus that induce immunity (removing the portion that causes disease) with a transmissible viral vector.”

Self-spreading vaccines have already been used to protect wild rabbits from myxomatosis and to control Sin Nombre virus in rodent populations.”

In the event of a grave public health threat, self-spreading vaccines could potentially be used to broadly inoculate human populations. Like the approach in animals, only a small number of vaccinated individuals would be required in order to confer protection to a larger susceptible population, thus eliminating the need for mass vaccination operations, including PODs."

Covid-19 vaccines approved in the US and Europe included the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines, as well as the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) and AstraZenica. The mechanism of these products is inject mRNA or DNA to force the cells of the individual to produce the spike protein, in the belief that the spike protein itself was not harmful in itself.

Johns Hopkins on Self-Spreading, Self-Propagating, Transmissible Vaccines

In 2018, The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Center for Health Security, published Technologies to Address Global Catastrophic Biological Risks.

Among the technologies discussed in the paper, are "Self-Spreading Vaccines."  Vaccines that only need be given to a portion of the population, and are then become communicable between individuals, like a virus.

The number of questions, concerns, and issues that become relevant with the revelation that this technology exists, and is being used on animals, is more vast than I can enumerate here.  So I will simply share with you Page 47 of the document.

"WHAT IS THE TECHNOLOGY?

Self-spreading vaccines—also known as transmissible or self-propagating vaccines—are genetically engineered to move through populations in the same way as communicable diseases, but rather than causing disease, they confer protection. The vision is that a small number of individuals in the target population could be vaccinated, and the vaccine strain would then circulate in the population much like a pathogenic virus. These vaccines could dramatically increase vaccine coverage in human or animal populations without requiring each individual to be inoculated. This technology is currently aimed primarily at animal populations. Because most infectious diseases are zoonotic, controlling disease in animal populations would also reduce the risk to humans.

There are 2 main types of self-spreading vaccines: recombinant vector vaccines and live viral vaccines. Recombinant vector vaccines combine the elements of a pathogenic virus that induce immunity (removing the portion that causes disease) with a transmissible viral vector. Cyto-megalovirus is one candidate vector for recombinant vaccines, because it is highly species-specific and moderately transmissible. Live viral vaccines are attenuated, meaning that the vaccine viruses are much less pathogenic than wild-type and would be similar to the oral polio vaccine or the live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV) in that those vaccines can sometimes transmit from person to person.

Although there are substantial technical challenges in genetically engineering viruses, synthetic biology tools such as CRISPR/Cas9 are likely to aid researchers in overcoming these hurdles in the coming years. Self-spreading vaccines have already been used to protect wild rabbits from myxomatosis and to control Sin Nombre virus in rodent populations.

Additional work is targeting Ebola virus in apes and bats, Lassa virus in rats, and bovine tuberculosis in badgers.

Starving The Hungry Lie: CDC Removes Vaccines Do Not Cause Autism from Site

The “hungry lie” on autism is both maddeningly simple and simply maddening and goes something like this: “It’s been asked and answered, vaccines don’t cause autism.” As I’ve written about repeatedly, this is a huge lie, a critical lie, and a very “hungry” lie, because it constantly needs to be fed.

This week it was announced that The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has removed from their web site what JB Handley deemed “The Hungry Lie”.

"Vaccines do not cause autism.”

Bowing to legal pressure from the three year campaign waged by the Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN), CDC quietly removed the false claim from their website on August 27th, 2020. They did it so quietly in fact, that neither anyone at ICAN, nor the dozens of vaccine watchdog organizations, nor the tens of thousands of Americans that have been decrying the false claim even noticed, until someone at ICAN checked the site again on January 20th, and found that The Hungry Lie was gone. A search of the Internet Archive shows the last day the fraud was posted was August 26th, and it was gone on August 27th.

ICAN deserves high praise for accomplishing the feat, the latest in a line of ongoing court victories. Their dogged legal team is led by Aaron Siri, the man who managed to get Dr. Stanley Plotkin, considered by the medical establishment to be the greatest living vaccinologist to admit that there is no research on the Pertussis vaccine and autism. Nor on any vaccine that is not the MMR.

This is of importance to me as my son regressed into autism after Pertussis, Hep B, and five other vaccines, none of which contained mercury, and he never received the MMR. So all the research that it thrown at me to prove to me that my son does not have vaccine induced autism, doesn't even apply to his case. Because there is no vaccine-autism research outside of MMR and Thimerosal that exists, other than the Hep B studies that find massive links, and health authorities don't like to talk about those.

ICAN's three year, Herculean accomplishment was met with joy, by the vaccine injury community, but also a bit of confusion. “But the page still says, "there is no link between vaccines and autism?” Thus I thought it was important to put their win into historical context.

 

Those of us who have become old fighting this fight have been front row to the changing and contradictory claims of of CDC and her sister “health authorities” as they try not to accurately answer the question of whether or not their vaccine program created the autism epidemic. Here I present a lengthy but incomplete history of how we got here, and why ICAN should be lauded for turning back the clock to the days where CDC even made a pretense of being truthful on this issue.

Let's start with the cover story for The Hungry Lie. The story that mainstream medical professionals are told is true, and can't understand why the public doesn't believe them. Let's call it The Desperate Lie:

“It's that scoundrel Wakefield's fault.”

The College of Physicians of Philadelphia says in their History of Vaccines,

“The story of how vaccines came to be questioned as a cause of autism dates back to the 1990s. In 1995, a group of British researchers published a cohort study in the Lancet showing that individuals who had been vaccinated with the measles-mumps-rubella vaccine (MMR) were more likely to have bowel disease than individuals who had not received MMR. One of these researchers was gastroenterologist Andrew Wakefield, MD, who went on to further study a possible link between the vaccine and bowel disease by speculating that persistent infection with vaccine virus caused disruption of the intestinal tissue that in turn led to bowel disease and neuropsychiatric disease (specifically, autism).”

The story of how vaccines came to be questioned as a cause of autism dates back to the first paper describing autism in 1943.



1943 - Roosevelt Administration

In his disorder defining paper "Autistic Disturbances of Affective Contact," published in Nervous Child in 1943, Leo Kanner of Johns Hopkins University included the first report of vaccine induced autistic regression. In Kanner's case series describing the first 11 children documented to have the disorder, case number 3, “Richard M.” is reported by his mother to have begun his developmental regression following a smallpox vaccination. From the paper:

“Case 3. Richard M. was referred to the Johns Hopkins Hospital on February 5, 1941, at 3 years, 3 months of age, with the complaint of deafness because he did not talk and did not respond to questions.”
“Following smallpox vaccination at 12 months, he had an attack of diarrhea and fever, from which he recovered in somewhat less than a week.”
“In September, 1940, the mother, in commenting on Richard's failure to talk, remarked in her notes: I can't be sure just when he stopped the imitation of words sounds. It seems that he has gone backward mentally gradually for the last two years.”


The time line of Richard M, according to the paper, is thus:


November 1937 – Born

November 1938 – Vaccinated with Smallpox vaccine

September 1940 – Mother reports developmental regression beginning approximately two years previously, the autumn of 1938.

February 1941 – Referred to Hopkins for evaluation, and in 1943, becomes the third child to be described as autistic by Leo Kanner in his disorder defining paper, the first paper published on autism, 52 years before Wakefield.

Maine Votes NO on Question 1 by a 3 to 1 Margin, "Ratifies" New Law to Remove Exemptions

Maine was the stage for an experiment yesterday that told us that putting vaccine exemptions on the ballot is very poor strategy.

The vaccine choice community has learned that it is unwise to put the rights of an oppressed and hated minority in the hands of low information voters being informed by the oppressors who fan the flames of hatred.

We are the ONLY minority citizens in the country that it is now not only OK to harass and oppress, and it is now believed to be virtuous to segregate us from society and deny our civil rights.  We can't win ballot measures.

Anybody working on either side of this in Maine has watched rabid vitriol and venom be poured out on even a mom of vaccinated kids who simply doesn't want Gardasil forced on her family.

I talked to two moms this week who went door knocking and were told by another woman that she wanted them shot. I talked to another mom last weekend who just got an apology from a No on 1 friend who attacked her, telling her that she let her anger get out of hand. 

Facebook is a nightmare, and Twitter is a horror show.

Because the vaccine industry is just fine with destroying friendships, blood family relationships, and even marriages to force their products on people. The hatred is not an accident. It is a marketing goal.

I will put it bluntly. The "Yes on 1" campaign was a fool's errand from the beginning, and a waste of considerable resources.

The rank and file Mainers who fought this fight should be praised to high heaven for their work, and they have all my respect and affection, but they were sold a bad plan. It doesn't matter how hard you work, if you are not working smart.

Maine Sues Pfizer for Federal Crimes, While Mandating Maine Parents Trust Their Two Month Olds to Pfizer

TrustingPfizerMaine has accused Pfizer of being a criminal organization in federal court. 

Maine also mandates that Mainers cannot send their children to daycare unless they entrust the life and health of their infants to that criminal organization.

On May 24th, 2019, Governor Janet Mills (formerly Maine's Attorney General) signed LD 798 to remove religious and conscious objections to mandated vaccines for daycare, preschool, k-12, and all post-secondary schools.  This made four doses of the Pfizer vaccine of PREVNAR 13 (PCV13) mandatory for at ages two, four, six and 15 months in order to be enrolled in a Child Care Center, Child Care Facility, Small Child Care Facility, Home Day Care, Public Pre-school programs, Nursery schools, Pre-K programs, Early Kindergarten, 4 year old programs or any child development program under the control of the State Department of Education or under the control of the Office of Child Care and Head Start.

But only two weeks earlier, on May 10th, Governor Mills current AG, Aaron Frey, filed suit against Pfizer, along with 43 other states, in the US District Court in Connecticut for price fixing.  The anti-trust suit accuses Pfizer of conspiring with 34 other pharmaceutical entities to fix the prices of generic drugs, so that prices could stay higher than they would had competition between them taken place.

"COUNT THIRTEEN (BY ALL PLAINTIFF STATES AGAINST DEFENDANTS PFIZER AND GREENSTONE AND ALL OTHER CORPORATE DEFENDANTS UNDER JOINT AND SEVERAL LIABILITY) – HORIZONTAL CONSPIRACY TO ALLOCATE MARKETS AND FIX PRICES FOR MULTIPLE GENERIC DRUGS IN VIOLATION OF SECTION 1 OF THE SHERMAN ACT"

Rather than describing the suit, I will simply post part portions you can read it in Maine's own words:

"I. SUMMARY OF THE CASE

1. For many years, the generic pharmaceutical industry has operated pursuant to an understanding among generic manufacturers not to compete with each other and to instead settle for what these competitors refer to as "fair share." This understanding has permeated every segment of the industry, and the purpose of the agreement was to avoid competition among generic manufacturers that would normally result in significant price erosion and great savings to the ultimate consumer. Rather than enter a particular generic drug market by competing on price in order to gain market share, competitors in the generic drug industry would systematically and routinely communicate with one another directly, divvy up customers to create an artificial equilibrium in the market, and then maintain anticompetitively high prices. This "fair share" understanding was not the result of independent decision making by individual companies to avoid competing with one another. Rather, it was a direct result of specific discussion, negotiation and collusion among industry participants over the course of many years.

2. By 2012, Teva and other co-conspirators decided to take this understanding to the next level. Apparently unsatisfied with the status quo of "fair share" and the mere avoidance of price erosion, Teva and its co-conspirators embarked on one of the most egregious and damaging price-fixing conspiracies in the history of the United States. Teva and its competitors sought to leverage the collusive nature of the industry to not only maintain their "fair share" of each generic drug market, but also to significantly raise prices on as many drugs as possible. In order to accomplish that objective, Teva selected a core group of competitors with which it already had very profitable collusive relationships – Teva referred to them as "High Quality" competitors – and targeted drugs where they overlapped. Teva had understandings with its highest quality competitors to lead and follow each other’s price increases, and did so with great frequency and success, resulting in many billions of dollars of harm to the national economy over a period of several years."

A reminder that both Pfizer and Teva were responsible parties in the opioid crisis, with Teva paying $646M in settlements.

South Dakota Considers First State Bill To Outlaw All Vaccine AND Medical Mandates

Who owns your body?

A growing number of legislators in South Dakota believe you do.

They have introduced a bill to not only end vaccine mandates in the state, but all future medical mandates that my be introduced in generations to come.

One hundred and fifteen years ago this month, the US Supreme Court made a decision that because there was a deadly smallpox epidemic, the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts was allowed to charge a pastor five dollars to opt out of a city wide vaccine mandate. The law didn't apply to children.

That precedent has been the basis for the mandate of dozens of now liability-free vaccines for children and adults, where no epidemic (or even one case) exists, at the costs of thousands, or even hundred of thousands, per year to opt out. It is even the basis on which the Supreme Court ruled that women can be force sterilized, for the good of themselves and society, of course.

Bad precedent, plus a century, has resulted in the legalization of actual war crimes.

The current vaccine mandate enforcement drive by Merck and Friends has driven our community, and those who never questioned vaccines before now, back to a basic question at hand here.

Jordan Wilson on Mandatory Vaccination and The Church

A great many of us who are Christians have been asking this question in regard to vaccine injury and corruption for years.  We read the very errant missives put out by often well meaning, professing Christians, pastors, elders and physicians that seemed to have never looked beyond the CDC's home page on vaccine safety and efficacy, and give up hope that our voices, and our cries for our children, will ever be heard in what should be our spiritual homes.

This week, one of those errant missives was answered with a stunning five part series by Jordan Wilson in the New City Times.  Wilson has not only bothered to actually search the scriptures to inform his writing to the church on vaccine questions, he watched the Plotkin videos.

A recent article at the Gospel Coalition manifests one contributor's decision to wade into the debate regarding vaccines. Contributing Editor, Joe Carter, planted his flag firmly on one side of the debate.

If I had to summarize the gist of Carter's position in three statements, they would be:

  • The debate is settled: modern vaccination programs are safe, ethically sourced, and the results are amazing, let's celebrate!
  • Skepticism of the vaccine program is unwarranted, and results in practices which are unloving to neighbor, harmful to their children and society.
  • If Christian parents ultimately decide against vaccinating, they should reasonably be prepared to accept banishment from public institutions, and they are also to be held morally responsible if their child (or someone else's child) dies because they chose not to vaccinate.

An Uncritical, One-Sided Perspective

I'm not sure to what degree, if any, Carter is willing to be persuaded from his position. I used to passionately write the same things he wrote, before really opening myself up to hear both sides of the debate. Regardless, my goal in writing is not mainly an attempt to persuade Joe Carter; it's to offer an alternative viewpoint which I firmly believe deserves consideration for many reasons.

Best of: Why Conservatives Don't Get Autism

February 2018 Managing Editor's Note: Ginger Taylor wrote this post 8 years ago at Adventures in Autism.com as a counterpart to Dan's post. We're running it 8 years later because the state of American childhood is just so grim. Autism is at the crux of our wheelhouse here at AofA, but the depth of the issues at hand is much deeper. This latest school shooting (even that verbiage, "the latest" is startling) might be a catalyst for change. Does either side, Progressive or Conservative have the stomach and the cajones to face the truth? Is it the guns? The access? The vaccines? The medications? The video games? The iWorld? What's creating this all consuming craving to kill among?

A few days ago, Dan Olmsted at Age of Autism wrote a piece entitled, “Why Progressives Don’t Get Autism”, where he made the case that those on the left are so enamored with the idea that government can solve the problems of humanity, like communicable disease epidemic prevention via public health policies, that they fail to see the unintended consequences of these policies.

In a rare moment of self-reflective contemplation, one of the leftiest blogs on the left, The Daily Kos, admitted that Olmsted had a point.

In reading all this, I have to face that conservatives just have another version of the same problem. We are often so enamored with the idea that business and industry can solve the problems of humanity, and that free man can, with his clever mind and by the sweat of his brow, build the bright, shining city on a hill, that we fail to see the unintended consequences of these ambitions.

Our freedom to work and to own and to engage in commerce, coupled with our dedication to creation, has done some truly astonishing things. We went from the horse and buggy to the moon in less than two centuries. What other culture in the history of man has made such advances?

Progress and innovation have lifted us out of the muck and put us in climate controlled skyscrapers, where we can have pizza delivered while we watch football, and where we don’t have to hunt through the forest and toil in the garden. Which is great. Except that we were kind of made to hunt through the forest and toil in the garden. And when we get too far away from the garden, there are consequences to our health.

When “PROGRESS” and “INDUSTRY” (insert 1950’s post war pro-business, “Better Living Through Chemistry” educational film here) push us to create thousands of compounds and molecules that have never existed on this planet before, and we manufacture them in massive quantities and spread them everywhere, to interact with one another everywhere, in the air, in the water, in homes, in clothes, in foods and in medicines, what we WILL end up with is a chemical soup that WILL harm some or all people. (Any one who does not believe that this is an eventuality is just in denial or has never read Frankenstien or any of the other thousands of cautionary tales of how man’s creations return to bite him in places to which only God and the TSA have unrestricted access.) Because THAT chemical world is not OUR chemical world, the one that nurtured the human race to the place where it could begin an industrial revolution only a very short time ago.

We belong in our garden.

Mills' sister Dora Ann is a pediatrician with a Masters degree in public health who has been the primary vaccine promoter in Maine for more than a decade.  Mills never had any intention of preserving the rights of Mainers to choose what vaccines they can get.

Maine Votes to Remove Religious & Philosophical Vaccine Exemptions

The house had voted to pass LD 798 removing philosophical and religious vaccine exemptions last month.  Two weeks ago it went before the Senate, which passed the bill, but then passed an amendment to restore the religious exemption.  

4 Dems voted with the Republicans to keep the religious exemption.   The vote was 18-17 for the amendment.

The House then would not pass the Senate version, and sent it back to the Senate, insisting that they pass the version with both exemptions removed.  Those four Senators were basically beaten to bits.  The news papers ran their names, their party berated them, and one caved.  Senator Dill. 

Today they revoted and the measure passed with both exemptions removed, 18-17.

The Governor Mills was a primary proponent of the bill.  Her sister Dora Mills is a pediatrician and public health official who has been the face of vaccine sales in Maine for more than a decade.  She will sign the bill with glee.

Green voted to remove exemptions, red are the stalwart Senators who need to hear your gratitude for defending your rights.

First off, why is she contacting me about CHD? Second, that exchange turned into the following in her article: "Not every group in the anti-vaccine movement says it is seeing growth. Ginger Taylor, director of the Maine Coalition for Vaccine Choice, said her organization was struggling for funding, especially when they were battling “a $30 billion a year liability-free pharmaceutical sector.” Meanwhile the Maine Coalition for Vaccine Choice had DOUBLED in size in 4 months. Jacobson Must Die: Rockland County Jews Barred from Worshipping God Unless They Disobey God

If even ONE Jew is barred from entering a place of worship on Passover... we have a big problem.

Rockland County has told the Jewish people that they cannot obey God, and worship Him as He instructed them, unless they first inject aborted fetal cell remains and pig into themselves and their children.

Which God has instructed them not to do.

"And the pig, because it parts the hoof and is cloven-footed but does not chew the cud, is unclean to you. You shall not eat any of their flesh, and you shall not touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you." - Leviticus 11:7-8

But unless they disobey God in his instructions in Leviticus, Rockland County will not let them obey Exodus 12:

“I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night and strike every firstborn male in the land of Egypt, both man and beast. I am Yahweh; I will execute judgments against all the gods of Egypt.  The blood on the houses where you are staying will be a distinguishing mark for you; when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No plague will be among you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

“This day is to be a memorial for you, and you must celebrate it as a festival to the Lord. You are to celebrate it throughout your generations as a permanent statute..."

New York has turned going to a house of worship for a regular service established thousands of years ago, into an act of civil disobedience.

Rockland County tells Jews to decide how they will decide to defy the God of the Old Testament who has preserved them for thousands of years from Egyptian slavery to the Holocaust:

On Tuesday, NYC health officials ordered the residents of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, which is densely Jewish Orthodox, to be vaccinated for measles or face fines as high as $1,000. The same officials noted that this may be the first time in more than 100 years that such stiff measures have been used...

Back in 1905, the Supreme Court upheld an order forcing smallpox vaccinations in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and in 1922 the court upheld states’ right to impose school-vaccination programs, which has since established the schools as the avenue for dispensing vaccinations...

In 1905, in HENNING JACOBSON v. COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS, SCOTUS held that a pastor who didn't want to pay the five dollar fine for failing to get the Massachusetts government prescribed smallpox vaccine, had to pay the $5.  The Massachusetts order was issued ONLY to adults, to address an epidemic of a deadly disease for which there was no treatment.  And SCOTUS also said that such orders by governments could not be onerous or unreasonable.

Governments then took the ruling and applied it to onerous and unreasonable orders, including orders for children to get dozens of vaccines, even for diseases that had been completely absent in their states (or country) at the cost of the price of an education ($50k and up.)

Oliver Wendell Holmes even decided he could use the law upholding a FIVE DOLLAR FINE to force sterilize women, writing in the case of Buck v. Bell that: 

"...in order to prevent our being swamped with incompetence. It is better for all the world, if instead of waiting to execute degenerate offspring for crime, or to let them starve for their imbecility, society can prevent those who are manifestly unfit from continuing their kind. The principle that sustains compulsory vaccination is broad enough to cover cutting the Fallopian tubes. Jacobson v. Massachusetts, 197 U.S. 11 , 25 S. Ct. 358, 3 Ann. Cas. 765. Three generations of imbeciles are enough."

That demonic ruling in Buck v. Bell still stands, by the way.  If the individual states did not prevent it by law, you could have your right to reproduce violently removed tomorrow in the United States, and it would be legal.

So where is the line?  If a five dollar fine is allowed by law, but having your reproductive organs involuntary mutilated is anathema to the American mind, where is the line?  

Or maybe the continued good standing of both Jacobson and Buck mean that the Jews can be put back into ghettos and camps for the protection of the public, and that I can be strapped down and cut into because I am a, "probable potential parent of socially inadequate offspring."  All you have to do is state the government has a "compelling interest" and shout, "GREATER GOOD!"  What say you, America?  How far past that little FIVE DOLLAR FINE can government go?  Where is the line?

Is the blatant violation of the rights of the The Jewish People to practice sacraments thousands of years old to prevent even one case of what is now a nuisance infection (treated with Vitamin A) in the US over the line?

When I say that we have a big problem, I don't just mean with the First Amendment.  I mean with the God who drowned the whole damn Egyptian Army when they went after His People.  Let him who has ears to hear, let him hear.

This matter must go back to the Supreme Court.

Jacobsen must die.


A Difficult Discussion: WI-38 and MRC-5

Welcome to the intersection of the two most volatile issues in medicine, abortion and vaccines.  The discussion of one is controversial, for good reason.  When you try to discuss both at the same time, almost everyone either loses their minds, or completely shuts them down.  I am someone who has tended to do the latter.  

I spent almost a decade running up against the aborted fetal cell lines used for making vaccines and thinking, "I'm sure that can't be true... Alex Jones... hey look... shiny object!"

But in the last few years God has tapped on my shoulder and said, "are you sure you are not overlooking something?"  And last year I had to apologize to my readers, because I had put myself out there as offering them informed consent in vaccination, while being in denial of something on which people deserve informed consent.  And failing to inform them.

Abortion is an issue that strikes at the heart of who we are, and our base drives to keep control over our bodies and also to create our next generation.  I don't think that there is any issue that should be approached with more humility and care.  Talking about it blithely can set off landmines in the people around you, and you are unlikely to hear a bomb go off in their heart that can knock them down for a long time. 

AaprelBut the American Academy of Pediatrics proudly announced last month that their number one goal in 2019 is to remove the religious vaccine exemption from every state in the Union, before remembering that pesky 1st Amendment, and changing the headline.

Thus the need to look the difficult issue squarely in the face, as the loss of the right not to participate in the abortion industry in order to fully participate in public life is now at stake, and there are a large number of people who will be very upset when they find out after the fact that they have lost that right.  

Because if you can extort a pro-life Christian into injecting aborted fetal cell line remains, and a Muslim into injecting porcine products, and a Hindu into injecting bovine serum, and a vegan into injecting monkey kidney cells, then religious freedom is gone in America, and no one has a right to exercise their conscience.  

Our community has put a toe in the water, mostly only because we have had to, but the challenge is... how to open this discussion with individuals a political system who, more so than most, will have a fight or flight response to the phrase, "aborted fetal cell lines in vaccines?"

So last month, humbly and prayerfully, I started writing a letter to our state representatives, to prepare them for hearing this phrase, as we knew that they would be confronted with it repeatedly in our hearings on the vaccine exemption removal bill here in Maine.  

And I managed to draft a letter about the use of aborted fetal cell line remains in vaccines, without using the word "abortion," or "fetus."  It went to every member of the Maine Legislature.

Vaccine Exemption Removal Bills ARE the War on Women

GaslightingThe vaccine exemption removal bills being proposed across the US are not about health.

Case in point: Maine.

In Maine we established at our hearings for LD 798 that there are no problems with complications from vaccine targeted illnesses for school children, as Maine DHHS can't even offer any data on it, meaning it is such a low occurrence that they never felt compelled to write it down when it happens, or there are no occurrences to write down.

We established that we don't have a vaccine uptake problem.

We are not 7th in exemptions as the media in Maine is STILL claiming, we are 25th in the nation for vaccine coverage. Our vaccine rates have risen steadily since the dawn of the 21st century, not dropped, as the vaccine industry is STILL claiming in the media. Our vaccine rates are even higher than the three states that don't even have religious or philosophical exemptions.

It is time to be frank about what this bill, what all these bills, really are. Bills to control women.

LD 798 is a vaccine sales bill, written and sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry, to force WOMEN, who are challenging the patently false vaccine safety and efficacy claims in doctors offices to fall in line.

What you can see for yourself in the Maine hearings on LD 798 is WOMEN show up to testify that children are being hurt and they can't get help, and the male dominated vaccine industry show up to robotically repeat, “vaccines are safe and effective” while ignoring every vaccine injury case being testified to in that room. Their plea to the legislature is:

“Women won't do what we are telling them to do. Make them.”

Joe Lawlor's Emails with Dorit Reiss Expose the Portland Press Herald Vaccine Reporting Bias

Joe Lawlor believes that vaccine injured families advocating for their right to bodily integrity are cult-like anti-vaxxers. 

He may not put that in his "reporting" for the Portland Press Herald as the paper advocates for mandatory vaccination in Maine, but he puts it in his emails to principal advocate for vaccination via violence, Dorit Reiss.

For the uninitiated, Dorit Reiss is a law professor at UC Hastings who, while she has never taken the bar exam or practiced law, has been held out by the vaccine industry as the go to legal mind on vaccine mandates. The liability-free industry had a problem in Mary Holland, JD, well respected NYU legal scholar and member of the SCOTUS bar, and Dorit was the best they could come up with to offer a legal response.

And her response is extremist.

Dorit believes that forced vaccination is constitutional. Mind you, not just coerced vaccination for school entry or employment, she is referencing door to door vaccination by police with guns, and in some circumstances (she does not say which), tying a child down and vaccinating him or her.

Joe Lawlor is the health reporter for Maine's most prominent newspaper, the Portland Press Herald.  The paper has been pushing for the passage of LD 798, which removes the religious and philosophical vaccine exemptions from everywhere in Maine law.  The PPH doesn't even believe the right to choose what vaccine goes into one's body should be the subject of public debate any more, despite the fact that the PPH has never referenced the vaccine liability protection in one of its articles much less debated it.

Their board declared on Sunday that debate is closed on BOTH the scientific AND political vaccine discussions.  Not only are they wrong on both counts, the PPH putting their foot down and saying that no one is allowed to talk about this any more is as laughable as the countless other authoritarian temper tantrums that have declared that the "science is settled" for more than a decade now.

Lawlor himself began his vaccine coverage on August 10th of 2014. He called me for an interview, and I discussed with him that I was not anti-vaccine, and to please not call me that, and this was about the restoration of liability to vaccine makers for injury and death to children. We talked for 45 minutes, emphasizing the liability problem.

So naturally, he printed, "Ginger Taylor, an anti-vaccine advocate from Brunswick, describes her autistic son Chandler, now 12, as “a vaccine-injured child," and failed to mention the liability issue at all. In fact in his five years writing on this topic, I can't ever remember him mentioning the liability-freeness of the vaccine program.

And I even mentioned the liability problem in my response to his inaugural smear piece on September 2nd, in Breakdown In Accountability At Heart Of Decline In Vaccinations, but he must not read his own paper.

Maine DHHS Admits that They Keep No Data on Vaccine Injury. Does Your State?

The Number of Vaccine Injuries Recognized by the State of Maine
In February, LD 798 was written by the pharmaceutical industry and introduced in Maine.  It removes the religious and philosophical vaccine exemption from Maine state law.  For everything.  

Because Maine has  high vaccine rates, and little incidence of outbreaks of vaccine targeted illnesses, the vaccine industry in the state needed a justification for the bill, and they chose immunocompromised children.  The Maine DHHS holds the position that Maine should have a 100% vaccine uptake rate for schools (and daycare and preschool and college and health corporations) to protect children with compromised immune systems, and create "safe schools" for them to attend that will not pose a threat to their health.

Last month, in the run up to the hearings on the bill, I asked the Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs to ask Maine DHHS for the foundational data that must be provided to the public before a bill that removes one risk group of children from school, to protect another risk group, should even be considered.

How many children are being harmed by the Maine Immunization Program as compared to how many children are being harmed by the diseases for which we vaccinate in Maine?

Specifically the Committee was asked:

"We are looking for data that informs the baseline question that should be asked before LD 798 is considered, and thousands of Mainers are dismissed from work or a lifetime of schooling.

Under the current policy, what are the permanent adverse outcomes of participation in the Maine Immunization Program as compared to the permanent adverse outcomes of the illness for which we are vaccinating.

Can you ask Maine DHHS:

What is the rate of serious vaccine adverse events in Maine that result in permanent injury, illness, disability and death per year?
What is the number of serious vaccine adverse events in Maine that result in permanent injury, illness, disability and death per year?
What is the estimated cost to Maine for permanent adverse vaccine outcomes?
What is the rate of serious complications from vaccine targeted illnesses in Maine that result in permanent injury, illness, disability and death per year?
What is the number of serious complications from vaccine targeted illnesses in Maine that result in permanent injury, illness, disability and death per year?
What is the estimated cost to Maine for permanent adverse outcomes from vaccine targeted illnesses?

Maine Vaccine Exemption Removal Bill Moves Forward

Yesterday, Maine's LD 798 to implement mandatory vaccination for Maine daycare, preschool, school children (public and private, IEP and 504 kids), college students, and health care workers has passed out of committee with a 8 - 5 split decision OUGHT TO PASS. Vote was on party lines, democrats recognizing that the bill violated minority and religious rights, but that it should be done for "The Greater Good."

The bill has been amended to push back implementation to September of 2021 and to allow for an unrestricted medical exemptions.  LD 798 will go to the Maine House.

The Republicans on the Education Committee issued statements following the hearing:

“This bill targets a minority who represent 5% of our student population for the purpose of segregating and marginalizing a small group of our children using coercive measures and threatens to force them to comply or be expelled. There are more prudent measures we could implement to achieve the accurate data to make the most informed decision.” - Rep. Heidi Sampson (R-Alfred)

LD #798 will affect workforce development and adult learners, whether they have been immunized or not, because they will need to locate their records instead taking a philosophical exemption. This can be frustrating for someone who decided to go back to school after many years. The cost to University of Maine system, the Maine Community College system and our private higher education institutions has not been quantified.” - Rep. Shelley Rudnicki (R-Fairfield)

“There are serious constitutional concerns in regards to LD 798. It demarcates and segregates a new minority in Maine. Poor families, who have no choice but to comply, will have to override their bodily autonomy and receive an invasive procedure against their consent. This is egregious legislation that flies in the face of liberty.” – Rep. Justin Fecteau (R-Augusta)

“We are not anti-vaccination, we are just looking for a little common sense before we violate the civil rights of Maine families without complete information or some assurance that this will result in improved public health. - Rep. Gary Drinkwater (R-Milford)

All Committee Republicans today opposed the mandatory immunization bill (LD 798), because it overrides parental consent, violates body autonomy and targets a minority of children and parents seeking to opt out of vaccinations on philosophical and religious grounds.

School districts could lose up to $75 million if several thousand children lose their religious and medical exemptions and are prevented from attending school. All Committee Democrats voted for the bill, despite the lack of a demonstrated need for the bill, a lack of consistent data for a science-based decision and over the objections of thousands of Maine parents who contacted them."

The Pharmaceutical Industry Sponsored Maine Chapter Of The AMA Admits It Wrote The Maine Vaccine Exemption Removal Bill, Then Claims That It Is Not Sponsored By The Pharmaceutical Industry.

Maine is small. It is really hard to get away with stuff here without anyone noticing. And our legislators don't have offices, so you can just walk up to them while they are milling around in the hallways. (No one can accomplish a #PanRan here.) So news travels fast, and it didn't take long for everyone to hear that lobbyist Peter Michaud wrote LD 798, the single worst vaccine exemption removal bill ever introduced in the US.

I have been super busy fighting this bill, so apologies that I have not gotten around to telling non-Mainers about it.

Right now Maine has all three exemptions, but our medical exemption is severely restricted as of 2016. It is near impossible to get one now, but no need, right? We have both religious and philosophical.

Enter LD 798, sponsored by democratic representative Ryan "Every Child In Maine Should Have The Opportunity To Receive An Excellent Education" Tipping of Orno, Maine, which removes the religious and philosophical vaccine exemptions from all Maine education and health care law. Throwing thousands of Mainers out of daycare, preschool, k-12 (public and private, kids with 504s, all incoming kids with IEPs), colleges and universities, and all medical professions. Also any new groups, such as EVERY ADULT IN MAINE, for whom they decide to issue new mandates. (No I don't know how they plan to violate federal law and keep 504 and IEP kids out of school. They don't either. But apparently it MUST be done for the good of society.)

It is a complete eradication of 1st Amendment vaccine rights in the state of Maine if you want to fully participate in society.

And it was written by Peter Michaud, Esq. RN, lawyer and lobbyist for the Maine Medical Association (MMA) which is the Maine branch of the American Medical Association (AMA.)

Peter is trying a Reverse Pan here in Maine. California first ditched their Personal Belief Exemptions in 2015, and is now going for restricting medical. Poor Pete had to wait on messing with the PBEs in Maine because we had a Governor who vetoed it in 2015, so he and his hit squad first restricted the medical exemption by fiat (because the law allows the Maine DHHS to do it with the wave of a pen,) and had to wait for new Governor that would allow this. He got one in Janet Mills.  Sister to Dora Mills, pediatrician and primary vaccine PR Queen in Maine for as long as I can remember.

 

Maine Vaccine Debate 2015

Regular AoA readers will remember Pete. He is the guy who testified against our bill to educate health care providers on the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, while testifying that he didn't know anything about the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program? Did I mention that he is also an RN?  Which is a health care provider?

He is the guy same guy who offered the the super scientific and legally air tight case for coerced vaccination to our Health and Human Services Committee because, sure there might be some risk, but, “At some point you have to trust somebody.

Additionally, and I have never highlighted this before, Michaud testified, speaking on behalf of the MMA no less, that he didn't believe the women telling the Committee about the poor treatment they were receiving in pediatricians offices.

"As you know I represent the Maine Medical Association. I have heard a lot of horrible things about doctors today. And you'll believe what you believe based on what you've heard. I refuse to believe that so many doctors in this state are unfeeling, are horribly rude, are bullies, don't have the best interests of their patients in mind.”

The MMA officially not believing women would explain a lot.

But Peter Michaud has topped himself this year.

When I heard that he had actually written the bill, I, as I am want to do, flipped out and made a loud video announcing it. Me and all my friends then wrote to and called the MMA and pretty much demanded confirmation from them. No such confirmation or denial was forthcoming.

But we did ask our legislators to ask good ol' Pete what the deal was. And we mentioned in a flier distributed on the floor of the Maine House of Representatives that, “LD 798 is a vaccine sales bill sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry.”

Apparently that was enough to get him to respond. And his response was stunning.

Peter Michaud is General Counsel and a registered Lobbyist for the Maine Medical Association. On March 13, 2019, in his testimony in support of LD 798, and in opposition to LD 987 to expand medical exemptions, before the Joint Standing Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs, made the admission that he is the co author of LD 798, and then made the bizarre claim that he is not sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry:

“There was a claim made in a floor sheet that was distributed in the house... That, “LD 798 is a vaccine sales bill sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry.” I can assure you, that is not the case. The the bill was written in part by Representative Tipping, and in part by me. My authorship was pretty simple. X Y Z is repealed, but neither one of us is sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry.”

(Wait... isn't that "X Y Z is repealed" the important bit?)

Except that he IS sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry. Very, very sponsored. Not by pejorative “Big Pharma,” in some roundabout way, but by actual PhRMA. The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America®, who proudly represents “the country’s leading biopharmaceutical researchers and biotechnology companies.”

I am exceedingly proud to report that I sat perfectly still and quiet as Pharma Pete said these words to the committee not 30 feet away from me. I didn't even jump up, point at him and yell, “ARE YOU SERIOUSLY KIDDING ME! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!”

For this act of restraint I expect your high praise. (Leave in the comments.)

No one on the committee seemed to notice or question the claim, but why would they really. They have probably never visited the MMA website, and they assume that of course, the MMA represents doctors, not pharmaceutical companies. Why wouldn't they?

But one dad did notice. He was sitting in the overflow room listening to Michaud's testimony in the afternoon and was all, “That doesn't sound right.” And he checked the MMA website.

His daughter is vaccinated, but he cares about choice, so he put him self on the list to speak and waited until 2:10am, testifying very last from his hand written notes. He asked the most important question of the day:

“How is this just not disclosed?”

The Portland Press Herald (a wholly owned subsidiary of Offiteer Co. Inc. Limited) published not one silly article pushing the removal of exemptions here this weekend, but two.  Just for good measure.  I keep telling them to stop, because I can't handle the influx of people running into the Maine Coalition for Vaccine Choice, pitchforks flying, but they seem to think they know better.

And since they have not updated their talking points since 2014, despite hearings that killed this bill dead in 2015, I am just going to go ahead and recycle the op ed I wrote to them five years ago.  

BRUNSWICK — I was interviewed for an Aug. 9 front-page article by Joe Lawlor, titled “More Maine families are skipping or delaying childhood vaccines.” What was published was a complete misrepresentation of the interview I gave him.

As I told Mr. Lawlor, I’m neither anti-vaccine nor opposed to vaccination, and I vaccinated my children. My opposition is to the current U.S. vaccine program, which has become corrupted by bad law and policy, the failure to disclose known risks to families, the failure to pre-screen children who are showing symptoms that they are at risk for vaccine reactions and the denial of vaccine injury cases – rather than the proper recognition, diagnosis and treatment of vaccine-injured children.

In 1986, Congress gave liability protection to all vaccine interests – pharmaceutical companies, government agencies, doctors, nurses, etc. – so no one in this country can sue for vaccine injuries or deaths. As a result of this disregard of Americans’ Seventh Amendment rights, a vaccine injury case hasn’t been brought before a jury in almost 30 years, there is no longer accountability in vaccine safety and the vaccine program has fallen into massive corruption.

Corvelva Releases "Vaccinegate" Analysis of Gardasil 9, Turns Out To Be Gardasil 7, With 338 Contaminants...

"We arrive with this analysis to the fourth vaccine analyzed with this method, which aims to determine the chemical-protein composition of the analyzed vials.

On this occasion we focused on a vaccine that is not mandatory in Italy, the one against the papilloma virus, but that has done much to discuss in the recent past for the numerous reports of suspected adverse reactions received over time. The anti-Hpv vaccines have made much debate, even outside Italy; hence the decision to dedicate our attention also to this product.

ATTENTION: Gardasil 9 is an anti-Hpv vaccine that should contain 9 antigens as a leaflet, for 9 different subtypes of the Hpv virus (subtype 6 -11 - 16 - 18 - 31 - 33 - 45 - 52 - 58). However, all the antigens that are declared are not detected, but only 7 out of 9.

With reference to the methodology, the technical complaints and criticisms made in the last few weeks, we have responded (link report https://goo.gl/WfRBJB) with the final report of the analyzes. We suggest the reading and the diffusion of this document, together with the rest, because the explanations are rather detailed and precise.

In this sample of Gardasil 9 were found, as for the previous vaccines analyzed:

Chemical contamination from the manufacturing process or cross-contamination with other production lines
Chemical toxins

ANTIGENI: as anticipated, Gardasil 9 is an anti-Hpv vaccine that should contain, from package insert, 9 antigens, for 9 different subtypes of the Hpv virus (subtype 6 -11 - 16 - 18 - 31 - 33 - 45 - 52 - 58 ). Of these, they were NOT detected:

L1 Type 11 Protein of Human Papillomavirus (one of the subtypes that are most commonly associated with cervical lesions)
L1 Type 58 Human Papillomavirus (one of the subtypes that is most frequently associated with cervical cancer)

These two subtypes were not detected with the method in use (unlike the remaining 7).

Also in this case, therefore, we are faced with a product that does not seem to contain what it should contain. That is, of 9 antigens, only 7 were detected.
This opens up an important question about product compliance. A question that is not up to us to resolve, and that as always we turn to those in charge.

In addition, 338 signals of chemical contaminants were detected, of which 22% known. This data is also in continuity with the previous ones.
Among these signals were also identified 10 chemical toxins, probably from the process of processing antigens or other production processes present at the site of production of the vaccine.

In conclusion, also Gardasil9 - as well as the hexavalents Hexyon and Infanrix hexa as well as the quadrivalent Priorix Tetra - according to the method we commissioned, leaves enormous doubts on both efficacy and safety."

Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes Used Forced Vaccination Laws to Justify Forced Sterilization Laws

"The principle that sustains compulsory vaccination is broad enough to cover cutting the Fallopian tubes."

In the horrifying 1927 case, Buck V. Bell, the Supreme Court ruled, in an 8 to 1 decision, that it was constitutional for Virginia to perform forced sterilization on its citizens.

"Buck v. Bell, 274 U.S. 200 (1927),is a decision of the United States Supreme Court, written by Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr., in which the Court ruled that a state statute permitting compulsory sterilization of the unfit, including the intellectually disabled, "for the protection and health of the state" did not violate the Due Process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. The Supreme Court has never expressly overturned Buck v. Bell."

This, many of us have heard of, as it is our children that the states would be targeting if this policy of Nazi eugenics was being carried out today as it was in the 20th century, both in Nazy Germany and the US during the "Progressive Era," which was embracing the idea of creating a superior society.  

The case of Buck v. Bell was the atrocious matter in which Dr. Albert Sidney Pridd (and his successor, Dr. John Hendren Bell) Superintendent of The Virginia State Colony for Epileptics and Feebleminded, decided that one of his patients, an 18 year old rape-victim with a sixth grade education, should not be able to give birth again. Her mother was also "feebleminded" you see, and the good doctors believed society should be rid of their kind.

Again with the Wikipedia (yes I know I being lazy by quoting the Wiki but I have to get back to my kids homework):

"The concept of eugenics had been put forward in 1883 by Francis Galton, who also coined the name. The trend first became popular in the United States, and found proponents in Europe by the start of the 20th century; 42 of the 58 research papers presented at the First International Congress of Eugenics held in London in 1912, were from American scientists. Indiana passed the first eugenic sterilization statute (1907), but it was legally flawed. To remedy this situation, Harry Laughlin of the Eugenics Record Office (ERO) at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, designed a model eugenic law that was reviewed by legal experts. In 1924 the Commonwealth of Virginia adopted a statute authorizing the compulsory sterilization of the intellectually disabled for the purpose of eugenics. This 1924 statute was closely based on Laughlin's model. Looking to determine if the new law would pass a legal challenge, on September 10, 1924 Dr. Albert Sidney Priddy, superintendent of the Virginia State Colony for Epileptics and Feebleminded, filed a petition to his Board of Directors to sterilize Carrie Buck, an 18-year-old patient at his institution who he claimed had a mental age of 9. Priddy maintained that Buck represented a genetic threat to society."

But even those who know about poor Carrie Buck may not know that the mandatory vaccine laws were the justification for this decision.  They used our old friend Jacobson, the Massachusetts minister who refused to pay a five dollar fee imposed by the state on those rejecting the smallpox vaccine during a deadly outbreak in 1905, and took it all the way to the Supreme Court.

The venerated Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote the decision upholding the Virginia law that ended a woman's right to be a mother, by saying it was no different than vaccination:

"Liability-Free Vaccines"

Vaccine refusalIt is a phrase that I first read in a comment by “cmo” here on Age of Autism in 2010, and we should have been using it this whole time.

We have all heard it from our peers (and our elders) when we say that we are not vaccinating any more because the vaccine program is corrupt and high risk.

“But I was vaccinated and I am fine.”

Then we attempt to launch into a 30 minute educational session on the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, Bruesewitz v. Wyeth, Hannah Poling, Poul Thorson, William Thompson, Thomas Verstraeten, Julie Gerberding, HHS's failure to do their legally mandated vaccine safety research for 32 years, and no this is not really about Andrew Wakefield.

In an attempt to stop having to tell my story over and over again, I even managed to get a Johns Hopkins bioethics journal to print my very wordy reason for “No,” so that I could just hand it to people rather than explaining over and over and over.

Narrative Inquiry in Bioethics: “Families are Under No Obligation to Put Their Children at Risk By Participating in the Corrupt Current US National Immunization Program”

I ended my piece with this statement:

“The controversy surrounding vaccinations will never be resolved until the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act is repealed, and until families 7th amendment rights to have their complaints heard in civil court, under established legal procedure and ruled on by a jury, is restored.

Until there is a way to force public health officials, vaccine industry representatives and medical professionals to testify under oath, and under penalty of perjury, to either defend or retract their fraudulent claims, to pay for the damages done to children (including my child) for their institutionalized abuse and negligence, I will never consent to another member of my family participating in the vaccine program under any circumstances.”

I could have put it more succinctly by just saying, “we won't use liability-free vaccines any more.”

After doing this for 15 years I am a bit exhausted by the whole exercise of explaining, and expounding, and reminding, so as we here in Maine start up our fight against what promises to be an “SB277” type bill coming to our legislature, I have decided there is a more simple way to make this case without a 30 minute conversation, 30 times a day.

As there has not been a simple “vaccine” administered to a child for school entry since the 80s, I am going to stop talking about “vaccines,” and talk about “liability-free vaccines.”

I am going to point out that what the Maine mandatory vaccine law was written before 1985, was applicable to “vaccines,” when families had legal recourse against vaccine makers for corruption and hidden risks, and that current law should not apply to “Liability-Free Vaccines.” Which is what we have now.

I am philosophically opposed to my child receiving liability-free vaccines. Boom. Done.

“But you HAVE to! Do you want polio to come back?!”

No, I don't have to. If you were really afraid of polio coming back, you would replace liability to vaccine makers and fix the corruption in the vaccine program. You have not done your job to protect my children for the last 30 years. I'm out.

What I received as a child, even though in some cases they may be sold by the same company under the same brand name, was a fundamentally different product than what my children were given.  Vaccine makers were subject to liability to harm from their products. That ended the year I graduated from high school.

Justice Sotomayor and Justice Ginsburg have correctly pointed out that vaccines free from liability when they are defectively designed, give no reason for vaccine makers to improve design, to mind how they are distributed, or to even keep up with basic or emerging science:

Vaccine manufacturers have long been subject to a legal duty, rooted in basic principles of products liability law, to improve the designs of their vaccines in light of advances in science and technology. Until today, that duty was enforceable through a traditional state-law tort action for defective design. In holding that §22(b)(1) of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 (Vaccine Act or Act), 42 U. S. C. §300aa–22(b)(1), pre-empts all design defect claims for injuries stemming from vaccines covered under the Act, the Court imposes its own bare policy preference over the considered judgment of Congress. In doing so, the Court excises 13 words from the statutory text, misconstrues the Act’s legislative history, and disturbs the careful balance Congress struck between compensating vaccine-injured children and stabilizing the childhood vaccine market. Its decision leaves a regulatory vacuum in which no one ensures that vaccine manufacturers adequately take account of scientific and technological advancements when designing or distributing their products. Because nothing in the text, structure, or legislative history of the Vaccine Act remotely suggests that Congress intended such a result, I respectfully dissent.

Legislatures are ignorant of vaccine liability protection, and think vaccination has not changed since the mid-20th century.

Rep. Ralph Tucker Introduces Bill to Violate Mainers Right to Informed Consent in Vaccination, and Deprive Some Maine Children of their Right to an Education

Brunswick, Maine - Representative Ralph Tucker (D-Brunswick) has announced the submission of his bill to the Maine Legislature to restrict and remove the rights of parents to exercise their religious and philosophical vaccine exemptions for school entry in Maine. The bill will bar some children from Maine schools, denying their right to a public education. He expects significant support from the now Democratic majority in the House, Senate and from Governor-elect Janet Mills.

Tucker said concerning the as of yet unreleased bill that, “eliminating or limiting non-medical exemptions for school-required vaccines will be one of his top priorities with Mills in office.”

“I’ve already submitted a bill,” Tucker said. “I think vaccines are very important, and I’m going to push this issue as hard as I can.”

Mills said she agrees with Tucker and others but is not completely familiar with the legislation he is proposing. ”

As it did when these attempts were made in 2015, The Maine Coalition for Vaccine Choice (MCVC) is organizing at the grassroots level to maintain the 1st Amendment rights of families to practice their religion, the rights of children to an education, the rights of families to adhere to their conscience without coercion, and the internationally established human right to informed consent in medicine.

MCVC consists of over 1200 Maine families for whom choice in what goes into their bodies is important, and health care professionals such as nurses, physicians, and pharmacists who are vaccine risk aware. Many members have children who have suffered a serious adverse vaccine reaction that was either denied or left untreated by their health care provider.

“For years parents, lead by mothers, have attempted to address the serious safety concerns and policy problems in the Maine Immunization Program, including the lack of education that Maine pediatricians receive on federal guidelines for vaccine safety and vaccine injury. The Supreme Court Did Not Deem Vaccines "Unavoidably Unsafe," Congress Did.

There is an error that is often made when we talk about the "Unavoidably Unsafe" status of FDA approved vaccines.  It may seem like a small point, but it is important to be accurate.

Someone, somewhere, sometime, long, long ago and far away, said that, "The US Supreme Court has ruled that vaccines are unavoidably unsafe," referencing the use of the term in Bruesewitz v. Wyeth.  And it has been repeated over and over.  But it is not accurate.

Congress placed vaccines in that category, and SCOTUS was merely referencing the already established status of the products.

It is correct to say that "US Law regards vaccines as unavoidably unsafe."

But Congress itself did that, not the Supreme Court.  

Feel free to remind a member of Congress of that fact if he makes the false claim that, "Vaccines Are Safe."

From Mary Holland JD, Director of the Graduate Legal studies program at NYU Law School:

"The key language about “unavoidable” side effects comes from the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, 42 USC 300aa-22, re manufacturer responsibility (see highlighted text below).

That language was based on language from the Second Restatement of Torts (a legal treatise by tort scholars), adopted by most state courts in the mid-1960’s, that considered all vaccines as “unavoidably unsafe” products. The Restatement opined that such products, “properly prepared, and accompanied by proper directions and warnings, is not defective, nor is it unreasonably dangerous.”

The Bruesewitz v. Wyeth case interpreted the highlighted text below from the National Vaccine Injury Act to find that it did not permit design defect litigation – that issue had been unclear since 1986, and different state high courts and federal circuits had decided the issue differently. So, [it] is correct that the US Supreme Court never decided that vaccines are “unavoidably unsafe” directly, but it acknowledged that Congress considers them to be so.

Letter to HHS Secretary Azar on Contradictory Vaccine Safety Positions Held by HHS

Did you know that the Secretary of HHS, Alex Azar, holds FOUR different opinions on the question, "Do Vaccines Cause Autism?"

I decided to write him a letter about it:

Dear Secretary Azar,

I am the mother of a vaccine injured child, and I am looking for an explanation as to how four of your departments within HHS can hold four different positions on the question: "Do Vaccines Cause autism?"

At present, as the US Secretary of Health and Human Services, you currently hold four incompatible positions on the relationship between vaccines and autism in the four different departments that you manage and that contribute information to the public on vaccine safety.

In answering the question, "Are vaccines linked to autism?" Your responses are:

The Health Resources Services Administration's position is: Yes.

David Bowman, a spokesman for HHS’s Health Resources and Services Administration commenting on a case of vaccine encephalopathy and autism responded:

“[Vaccine Induced] Encephalopathy may be accompanied by a medical progression of an array of symptoms including autistic behavior, autism, or seizuresi.”

The Food and Drug Administration's position can be summed up as: Maybe sometimes.
On the FDA approved Tripedia vaccine insert:

"Adverse events reported during post-approval use of Tripedia vaccine include idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, SIDS, anaphylactic reaction, cellulitis, autism, convulsion/grand mal convulsion, encephalopathy, hypotonia, neuropathy, somnolence and apnea. Events were included in this list because of the seriousness or frequency of reporting. Because these events are reported voluntarily from a population of uncertain size, it is not always possible to reliably estimate their frequencies or to establish a causal relationship to components of Tripedia vaccineii."

The National Institutes of Health's position can be summed up as: Probably not.
While NIH has not responded to my request for an official position statement on the matter, Dr. Francis Collins wrote on June 13th of 2017 in his NIH Director's Blog, in a post entitled Autism Spectrum Disorder: Progress Toward Earlier Diagnosis:

"Research shows that the roots of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) generally start early—most likely in the womb. That’s one more reason, on top of a large number of epidemiological studies, why current claims about the role of vaccines in causing autism can’t be rightiii."

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention assert: Absolutely not.

Our country has spent more than a week drowning in a "Who Do You Believe?" duel to the death, which continues to become increasingly raw, painful and divisive.  But there is one bright spot... we suddenly have legislators who, after lugging centuries of baggage of treating women like their testimony counts for half a man's, FINALLY have freed themselves, and are...  EVERYWHERE... echoing the cry, #BelieveAllWomen!

Sober conversations about sexual assault and the lack of women's ability to be simply taken seriously so that earnest and proper investigations can be undertaken are taking places in corners of Capitol Hill and State Houses that have previously been bereft of such talk.  And those who have supported women for many years have become aggressive advocates for women's voices this week.

We now have very powerful individuals and groups demanding that women be not only taken seriously, but that they be believed in their claims of harm, and even for the FBI to investigate serious claims from more than 30 years ago.

In fact, in our own State House here in Maine, a bipartisan group of male legislators came forward as a coalition to say that women should be heard and believed.  And it was led by our former Democratic Senate President, Justin Alfond (D), who said, "I believe men need to do a lot less talking, and a lot more listening."

You can imagine how happy I was to hear that, as Mr. Alfond has not listened to Maine moms who have tried to tell the legislature about their vaccine-injured children.  I personally, face-to-face, invited him to meet with Maine moms (AND Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. on his visit to Maine) to hear about our concerns, and he declined.  He didn't want to hear.  Or believe.

I can't express how excited I am that he is now ready to do more listening!

And apparently, that is true of legislators all over DC and the country, as Senator after House Member who have previously been closed to hearing vaccine injury moms are now grabbing every camera they can find to declare that it is now time to #BELIEVEALLWOMEN!

Apparently we have had biomarkers for autism for five years.

Remember when Tom Insel, the man tasked by the federal government to coordinate autism research via the Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee, said that what we really needed was biomarkers for autism, and then failed to find us any biomarkers for autism? Then blew town for Google when the Thompson scandal broke in 2014?

Well apparently they were found in 2013, and ignored by Insel. He probably missed it, as they were discovered in a tiny, backwater outfit that no one has ever heard of called the New York State Department of Health.

And prepare to be shocked (or not), but the biggest tell at birth that a child is at risk for autism... wait for it... their levels of Glutathione s-Transferase (GST), the enzyme that links glutathione to toxic substances so they can be escorted out of the body.

Hmmm... if only someone had told us sooner that this was a detox issue from the day of birth... when babies are getting Hep B vaccine.

Apparently Dr. Gerald Mizejewski, God bless his curious heart, was wondering if there were any biomarkers for autism that would be present at birth, and then remembered, “Hey! We are the New York State Department of Health! We have blood spot samples from 12 million children taken at birth!”

So he went and found some kids with autism, and then pulled their blood spot cards to have them tested.

“In collaboration with the Center for Disability Services (NY, USA), 40 families with autistic children between the ages of 3 and 5 years born in New York State who had been diagnosed with autism at the center, were selected from among a group of 200 cases. A single developmental pediatrician made all the diagnoses using the DSMIV-TR criteria [12], thus assuring that diagnosis was consistent from child to child. These families were contacted by the center, provided with a description of the study and its goals and invited to participate in the study. A brief questionnaire and consent form were included in the mailing (CFDS IRB 07-010) and 20 positive responses were returned. Using the information provided by the parents regarding date of birth, 16 of these infants were identified in the repository of residual frozen newborn screening specimens at the Wadsworth Center (NYS IRB 07-044). “

“The specimens were submitted to Rules-Based Medicine (TX, USA) for analysis in their multiplex immunoassay system.” They tested for 90 biomarkers. They got 15 hits.

“Among the 15 biomarkers, the best set of five ranked in order from the highest BIC score included GST, Lp(a), IL-7, IL-5 and TNFa (Table 2). The second best set included thyroidstimulating hormone (TSH), KLK3, calcitonin (CCT) and IL-4 in addition to ferritin. The third best set included IL-8, TNFa, MUC16, TIMP-1 and AFP.

Sacha Baron Cohen's More Obnoxious Cousin Disqualifies Himself as an Autism Researcher

SimonIn response to JB Handley's new book, How to End the Autism Epidemic, long irrelevant researcher Simon Baron-Cohen has reached a new level of unethical, nonsensical obnoxiousness, by declaring that if you try to prevent autism, you are a Nazi eugenicist:

“I am disgusted by the #EndAutismNow campaign. This is hate speech and eugenics. How is this different to the Nazi EndJewsNow (1939-45) & the KKK white supremacist EndBlacksNow campaigns (1860-2018)? Treat symptoms in autistic people that cause suffering, but don't prevent autism.”

So many question here... my mind is reeling.

It is good of Mr. Cohen to give us permission to treat the symptoms of autism, but only, I guess, if they are symptoms that cause suffering. How that is measured and achieved, I am not sure. If for example, you treat brain inflammation, which in turn ends Self Injurious Behavior, but also flapping, do you have to figure out a way to put back the flapping?

And what if, a woman goes on a strict protocol where she detoxes starting a year before getting pregnant, avoids every known and suspected environmental trigger for autism, and gives birth to a healthy, typically developing child that never suffers an autistic regression. Did she murder her own child? We need to call in the police to investigate every NT child to see if they have been assassinated just in case.

Sure, an autism diagnosis for a child instantly makes them 40 times more likely than their peers to die young, cutting their life expectancy in half to age 36, and preventing a case of autism would jump that life expectancy back to the 77 or so years their peers have, but preventing an early death by preventing autism is also murder, so you are not allowed to do it.

Ok that does not make any sense to me either, but Simon is a scientist so just go with it.

Wait... Simon... if you are allowed to treat autism symptoms that cause a child's suffering, are you allowed to prevent autism symptoms that cause a child's suffering? Or does a child have to suffer with them first, THEN you can get rid of them? And how long do you make them live with it before you decide it meets your threshold for allowable treatment? 1 year? Long enough for them to report it? What if they are non-verbal and unable to successfully report which symptoms they suffer from and which they don't mind? Do we have to wait until they can type? Or until the age of consent, for them to contract with someone themselves for treatment/homicide?  Suicide?  Assisted suicide?

I am concerned that if we treat for an autistic symptom that is not actually causing suffering, that we might be killing the child. But I guess that if we wait until that child is an adult to seek treatment on their own, that technically they are committing suicide if they are accidentally treated for something else than simply the symptoms that cause suffering.

Hey... if a teenager goes on a gluten free casein free diet, are they committing self-harm?  Would that require inpatient treatment, or is outpatient treatment sufficient?

First They Came For Alex Jones

For those of you who have not caught up with the news, after a court hearing yesterday, InfoWars/Alex Jones has been banned from YouTube, Facebook, Apple and Spottily for violating policies on "hate speech."

Yes the man gets on my nerves. too.  His vaccine information is not always the most accurate, he is much too shouty, and some of the good info he does have to offer gets lost in chaos.  I kind of think of him as a dog that barks at everything.  Occasionally he is right and at those times it is good to be paying attention, but who can stand all that barking for very long.  However... him being thrown down the memory hole marks the beginning in earnest of a so called "conservative purge" which is now cascading... and it looks to be working down a list that we and our groups are on.  (I mean, they are calling it a "Conservative Purge" but I think it is more of a "Those Getting Mouthy With The Globalists Purge."  Which right now is mostly the right, but there are plenty of disaffected and not snowed people on the left too.")

So even you, my high born limousine liberal friends and Bernie socialist loved ones... if you are advocating on vaccine safety issues, you and your groups may be on the list. Because ultimately, "hate speech" is in the eye of the beholder... or the pockebook of The Man.  I was repeatedly told that I was engaging in "hate speech" last week when I posted this bunny meme on twitter.  Bunny

Silicon Valley considers the "anti-vaxxers" worse than republicans.  There have already been several large vaccine facebook groups deleted.

"Ginger's List" of Ignored Research Showing How Vaccines Cause Autism Tops 150 Papers

When contacted for comment on her astonishing work, Ginger Taylor MS, in her great humility toward her task of global illumination, said that she owed a bit of the credit to David Kirby for starting her off with 18 papers on mercury in 2007, a smidge to JB Handley for pointing out the most recent paper from China on Hepatitis B vaccine, and should probably not forget to mention the "little people" whose families have been harmed by vaccines for constantly sending her new research "here and there" as soon as it was published, but that she would be remiss in not talking the vast majority of the credit for herself.  

"I should also probably thank my parents for teaching me to read, because that was a huge tool that I used for the creation of this one of a kind tome, but I alone had to brave the dangerous journey through exotic and deadly lands like Pubmed and Google Alerts, to find these rare gems.  It's not like any old person with a high school education could do it.  Or even tens of thousands of MDs or PhDs.  I and I alone, armed with zero dollars in government research funds, had the mind, tenacity and reckless abandon to throw myself into the lions den thusly, to pluck these completely unknown bits of research from the jaws of death and complete obscurity!"  She then placed her phone on her lap, announced that she was awaiting a call from "those Nobel Prize people", whipped back her own blond mane, threw her face to the sky, and roared like the King of the Jungle himself. (Admittedly, it was a little awkward.)

The US Centers for Disease Control and prevention, responding to our request for comment on Mrs. Taylor MS's earth shattering announcement, replied, "Who?  Vaccines don't cause autism.  There's no research to support that claim."

New Paper Challenges HHS on their Vaccine Aluminum Dosing Safety Numbers

Remember a lifetime ago when we figured out that not only did the US Childhood vaccine schedule dramatically exceeded the Federal government's recommended daily limit for mercury, but that the limit that they had set was likely many times what it should have been in the first place? For those of you who are new to the issue, a review of the matter from my chapter in Vaccine Epidemic:

"In July of 1999, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the United States Public Health Service (USPHS) issued a joint statement through the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on mercury and vaccines. They stated that in the U.S. vaccine program at the time, “some children could be exposed to a cumulative level of mercury over the first six months of life that exceeds one of the federal guidelines.”

The truth was that the amount of mercury in the childhood vaccine schedule grossly exceeded the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) maximum daily adult exposure for methylmercury, the form of mercury most closely related to thimerosal for which the government had established a guideline. The EPA sets the daily limit at 0.1 microgram per kilogram of weight. Based on that guideline, a baby weighing approximately five kilograms (eleven pounds) at two months of age should not receive more than 0.5 micrograms of mercury on the day of a doctor’s visit. At the time the AAP and USPHS joint statement was issued, infants at their two-month visit routinely received 62.5 micrograms of mercury, or 125 times the EPA’s limit. Studies have suggested that, for thimerosal (ethylmercury), “the accepted reference dose should be lowered to between 0.025 and 0.06 micrograms per kilogram per day,” meaning that the exposure at the two-month visit could be as high as 500—rather than 125—times the safe level."

In fact in 1995, Gilbert and Grant-Webster had recommended that the limit be at least cut in half.

Abstract

Methylmercury (MeHg) is a global environmental problem and is listed by the International Program of Chemical Safety as one of the six most dangerous chemicals in the world's environment. Human exposure to MeHg primarily occurs through the consumption of contaminated food such as fish, although catastrophic exposures due to industrial pollution have occurred. The fetus is particularly sensitive to MeHg exposure and adverse effects on infant development have been associated with levels of exposure that result in few, if any, signs of maternal clinical illness or toxicity. High levels of prenatal exposure in humans result in neurobehavioral effects such as cerebral palsy and severe mental retardation. Prenatal exposure to MeHg in communities with chronic low-level exposure is related to decreased birthweight and early sensorimotor dysfunction such as delayed onset of walking. Neurobehavioral alterations have also been documented in studies with nonhuman primates and rodents. Available information on the developmental neurotoxic effects of MeHg, particularly the neurobehavioral effects, indicates that the fetus and infant are more sensitive to adverse effects of MeHg. It is therefore recommended that pregnant women and women of childbearing age be strongly advised to limit their exposure to potential sources of MeHg. Based on results from human and animal studies on the developmental neurotoxic effects of methylmercury, the accepted reference dose should be lowered to 0.025 to 0.06 MeHg microgram/kg/day. Continued research on the neurotoxic effects associated with low level developmental exposure is needed.

HHS never undertook any review, or made any adjustments.

Well everything old is new again. Drs. Lyons-Weiler and Ricketson have reviewed the dosing of aluminum in the US vaccine program, to find that not only is there a lot of it, and not only does it exceed daily limits, but yet again, the daily limits are not based on sound safety data.

An Unusual Admission From Biotech That It's Not Really About Health

I mean... we know that, right?  We live in it.  The individuals reading these words right now have spent years, even decades, fighting the "health care" system to make it do what it is being paid trillions of dollars to do, which is to make people healthier.  Even having to fight just to get permission to make their own individual family members healthier at their own expense.  To us the claims from government and industry officials care about the health of Americans and the advancement of science to actually improve health outcomes for Americans is laughable.

But rarely do we get to see the industry saying that profits are more important than patient health out loud and in public where everyone can hear them.  And even when they do, rarely does the press cover it.  But they all did this week.

I mean, usually health care corporations and their financial partners are smart enough to hide their cynical money grubbing, but one set of analyists apparently forgot to do so, not only pointing out that cures hurt profits, but LAMENTING THAT ONE NEW TREATMENT HAD DONE SUCH A GOOD JOB AT CURING A COMMUNICABLE DISEASE, THAT THERE WOULD NOT BE ENOUGH CARRIERS OF THE DISEASE TO KEEP SPREADING IT AROUND TO OTHERS, IMPAIRING THEIR ABILITY TO CONTINUE TO MAKE MONEY OFF THE CURE!  After which they make the observation that well... if you do gotta cure stuff make it cancer or something that can come back, just dont wipe the disease completely out of the population.  Because you need to stay in business.

Goldman Sachs analysts attempted to address a touchy subject for biotech companies, especially those involved in the pioneering "gene therapy" treatment: cures could be bad for business in the long run.
"Is curing patients a sustainable business model?" analysts ask in an April 10 report entitled "The Genome Revolution."
"The potential to deliver 'one shot cures' is one of the most attractive aspects of gene therapy, genetically-engineered cell therapy and gene editing. However, such treatments offer a very different outlook with regard to recurring revenue versus chronic therapies," analyst Salveen Richter wrote in the note to clients Tuesday. "While this proposition carries tremendous value for patients and society, it could represent a challenge for genome medicine developers looking for sustained cash flow."

Richter cited Gilead Sciences' treatments for hepatitis C, which achieved cure rates of more than 90 percent. The company's U.S. sales for these hepatitis C treatments peaked at $12.5 billion in 2015, but have been falling ever since. Goldman estimates the U.S. sales for these treatments will be less than $4 billion this year, according to a table in the report.

"GILD is a case in point, where the success of its hepatitis C franchise has gradually exhausted the available pool of treatable patients," the analyst wrote. "In the case of infectious diseases such as hepatitis C, curing existing patients also decreases the number of carriers able to transmit the virus to new patients, thus the incident pool also declines Where an incident pool remains stable (eg, in cancer) the potential for a cure poses less risk to the sustainability of a franchise."
The analyst didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

The report suggested three potential solutions for biotech firms:
"Solution 1: Address large markets: Hemophilia is a $9-10bn WW market (hemophilia A, B), growing at ~6-7% annually."
"Solution 2: Address disorders with high incidence: Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) affects the cells (neurons) in the spinal cord, impacting the ability to walk, eat, or breathe."
"Solution 3: Constant innovation and portfolio expansion: There are hundreds of inherited retinal diseases (genetics forms of blindness) … Pace of innovation will also play a role as future programs can offset the declining revenue trajectory of prior assets."

I know right?  I can't believe they said this out in the open either.

But the report only confirms the assertions made by the notable bioethicist Christ Rock for years, "Ain't no money in the cure, the money's in the medicine...that's how a drug dealer makes his money, on the comeback."
 

So when you walk into a pharmacy to fill a perscription, be honest with yourself about who you are doing business with, and what their real motives are about healing what ails you.

Deceased CDC Researcher, Dr. Tim Cunningham, Was NOT a Vaccine Whistleblower

ATTENTION: The report that Tim Cunningham, ScD, the CDC scientist found dead today, was questioning the vaccine program is FAKE NEWS.

The idea that his disappearance may be linked to comments made about the flu shot is a sourceless claim made by notable fake news publisher Your News Wire, and writer Baxter Dimitry, who has now made a habit of manufacturing quotes to bolster the vaccine corruption story. Of course it does not help our cause, because it is fake news. (Not linking so as not to spread the false story.)

In January Dimitry posted a story that claimed that, "A CDC doctor has warned this year’s “disastrous” flu shot may be responsible for the deadly flu epidemic sweeping the country.

“Some of the patients I’ve administered the flu shot to this year have died,” the doctor said, adding “I don’t care who you are, this scares the crap out of me.”

“We have seen people dying across the country of the flu, and one thing nearly all of them have in common is they got the flu shot.”

That quote was not a named source, it didn't say to whom and where the statement was made, and held no credibility.

Then the following month when Cunningham went missing, suddenly Dimitry announced that he was the anonymous doctor:

Why Conservatives Don't Get Autism: 8 Years Later

Helen lovejoy! Managing Editor's Note: Ginger Taylor wrote this post 8 years ago at Adventures in Autism.com as a counterpart to Dan's post. We're running it 8 years later because the state of American childhood is just so grim. Autism is at the crux of our wheelhouse here at AofA, but the depth of the issues at hand is much deeper. This latest school shooting (even that verbiage, "the latest" is startling) might be a catalyst for change. Does either side, Progressive or Conservative have the stomach and the cajones to face the truth? Is it the guns? The access? The vaccines? The medications? The video games? The iWorld? What's creating this all consuming craving to kill among?

A few days ago, Dan Olmsted at Age of Autism wrote a piece entitled, “Why Progressives Don’t Get Autism”, where he made the case that those on the left are so enamored with the idea that government can solve the problems of humanity, like communicable disease epidemic prevention via public health policies, that they fail to see the unintended consequences of these policies.

In a rare moment of self-reflective contemplation, one of the leftiest blogs on the left, The Daily Kos, admitted that Olmsted had a point.

In reading all this, I have to face that conservatives just have another version of the same problem. We are often so enamored with the idea that business and industry can solve the problems of humanity, and that free man can, with his clever mind and by the sweat of his brow, build the bright, shining city on a hill, that we fail to see the unintended consequences of these ambitions.

Our freedom to work and to own and to engage in commerce, coupled with our dedication to creation, has done some truly astonishing things. We went from the horse and buggy to the moon in less than two centuries. What other culture in the history of man has made such advances?

Progress and innovation have lifted us out of the muck and put us in climate controlled skyscrapers, where we can have pizza delivered while we watch football, and where we don’t have to hunt through the forest and toil in the garden. Which is great. Except that we were kind of made to hunt through the forest and toil in the garden. And when we get too far away from the garden, there are consequences to our health.

When “PROGRESS” and “INDUSTRY” (insert 1950’s post war pro-business, “Better Living Through Chemistry” educational film here) push us to create thousands of compounds and molecules that have never existed on this planet before, and we manufacture them in massive quantities and spread them everywhere, to interact with one another everywhere, in the air, in the water, in homes, in clothes, in foods and in medicines, what we WILL end up with is a chemical soup that WILL harm some or all people. (Any one who does not believe that this is an eventuality is just in denial or has never read Frankenstien or any of the other thousands of cautionary tales of how man’s creations return to bite him in places to which only God and the TSA have unrestricted access.) Because THAT chemical world is not OUR chemical world, the one that nurtured the human race to the place where it could begin an industrial revolution only a very short time ago.

We belong in our garden.

Federal Register: The New HHS Religious and Conscience Rights Office WILL Include Vaccine Protections

Yesterday, the federal register published the Office for Civil Rights (OCR), Office of the Secretary, HHS, A Proposed Rule by the Health and Human Services Department called, "Protecting Statutory Conscience Rights in Health Care; Delegations of Authority." It is the full rules that they are proposing to guide the office that they announced last week, that offer protections for those people who must decline to participate in a health care process or procedure due to their conscience or religious beliefs.

This begins a 60 day period of public comment on the new measures.

While the previous announcement and discussions from HHS on this new office did not mention vaccines, the proposed rules mention them TEN TIMES. And while we were a bit disheartened that vaccine coercion for students was not mentioned, we now see that the office recognizes that vaccine coercion is occurring:

"Despite the longstanding nature of the Federal health care conscience and associated anti-discrimination laws that this rule proposes to enforce, discrimination and coercion continue to occur. Relevant situations where persons, entities, and health care entities with religious beliefs or moral convictions may be coerced or suffer discrimination include:

  • Being asked to perform, participate in, pay for, counsel or refer for abortion, sterilization, euthanasia, or other health services;

  • engaging in health professions training that pressures students, residents, fellows, etc., to perform, assist in the performance of, or counsel for abortion;

  • considering a career in obstetrics, family medicine, or elder care, when one has a religious or moral objection to abortion, sterilization, or euthanasia;

  • raising religious or moral objections to participating in certain services within the scope of one's employment; and,

  • being required to administer or receive certain vaccinations derived from aborted fetal tissues as a condition of work or receipt of educational services."

 

It encourages, and even supports, families abilities to find physicians who share their vaccine point of view:

"PATIENT BENEFITS FROM CONSCIENCE PROTECTIONS

In supporting a more diverse medical field, the proposed rule would create ancillary benefits for patients. The proposed rule would assist patients in seeking counselors and other health-care providers who share their deepest held convictions. Some patients will appreciate the ability to speak frankly about their own convictions concerning questions that touch upon life and death and treatment preferences with a doctor best suited to provide such treatment. A pro-life woman may seek a pro-life ob-gyn to advise her on decisions relating to her fertility and reproductive choices. A pro-vaccination parent may seek a pediatrician who shares his views. Open communication in the doctor-patient relationship will foster better over-all care for patients."

This is great news. We didn't know if vaccines and students would be covered. The door is now officially all the way open for our community.

We will, no doubt, all be digesting this and planning on the best way to approach this new avenue in the next few days and weeks. But right off the bat I have a recommendation for comments that I would love to see submitted, so that this rule making truly gives us all religious freedom and freedom to act on conscience.

One of my long standing complaints is that in funding vaccine programs for states that do not offer a religious exemption, California, West Virginia, and Mississippi, the federal government is supporting the violation of the First Amendment Rights of millions of Americans.

The document does address federal funding in this section, saying:

"Third, providers of pediatric vaccines funded by Federal medical assistance programs must comply with any State laws relating to any religious or other exemptions."

However, I don't believe that this goes far enough. States that do not offer an unrestricted, unreviewable, unrejectable religious vaccine exemption, should not be given federal vaccine funding. Period.

I encourage to begin drafting your wise and eloquent comments to submit to HHS, and I hope you will include in your comments the urging that this section be amended so that not only do providers have to comply with state laws on religious exemptions, but that states MUST offer a religious exemption in order to receive vaccine funding.

So today is the day to share this post in all your groups, and to organize your comment submission. We do not yet know how HHS and the Trump administration will respond, and government/has a long and upsetting history of being able to follow a line of reasoning right up until it reaches the vaccine issue and then goes bonkers, but they said, "Vaccine" ten times. So they know it is part of the package that is coming.

If you don't vaccinate on religion or conscience:

Were you denied schooling if you didn't vaccinate yourself and your child?

Were you denied entry to school events?

Were you denied a job or discriminated against at work? Had to wear a mask?

Were you tricked into a vaccine you never would have allowed to be administered if you knew it contained pork products, bovine products or aborted fetal cell line products?

COMPLAIN!

And start submitting your comments on their new complaint department. We need to push them to set the rules that protect us.

UPDATE:

There has been some confusion on what this means for us, so allow me to clarify further what this is and what it is not.

The federal government cannot change state law. This office does not suddenly allow religious vaccine exemptions for those in MS, WV and CA. It does not have that power. It is not a panacea for our exemption problems.

The feds can't force entities to respect the religious and conscience rights of entities that are coercing vaccination, but it can stop funding those entities.

What this does is sets up a complaint process for entities that receive federal funding, and are coercing vaccination and other morally objective behavior, or discriminating against those who are conscientious objectors. The feds, if they found cause, could remove that funding for such entities.

This also does not currently apply to educational institutions. Why not? Good question. It should. We need a explanation and justification from the federal government as to why they are funding state education programs that are violating 1st Amendment rights. They have admitted it is a problem, after all (see above.)

So for those who were under the impression that their kids were going to get to go back to school next week in California because of this, sorry that is not what this does. It does open up a venue for you to ask, "Why are you funding a state program that violates my civil rights?" And you are owed an answer on that question.

This is not an immediate end to the problem. But we have been staring at a brick wall, and a door has suddenly appeared. To get through that door and to the other end of the maze to true vaccine choice, informed consent, and an end to the 1986 National Childhood Injury Act is still a ways off, but suddenly... there is a door.

Sherri Tenpenny asked some good questions in the comments that I would like to answer:

"How will this apply for:
1. flu shots/ healthcare workers
2. college entrance requirements
3. medical school/chiropractic school/veterinarian school applicants?
4. What about the military!?!"

My answers are:
1. It might help.
2. It may not help.
3. Who knows.
4. No way it will help.

If you are a healthcare worker of a federally funded entity, then you have a complaint that they will hear. But this is a new office, we don't know what they will ACTUALLY do, and how strong their political will is. What government says and what it actually does in the face of opposition, is two different things. I want people to use this tool, but be realistic that at best HHS is going to war with itself if they process our complaints and actually take any action. HHS drives vaccine uptake and holds vaccine patents. 

College requirements are set by states, and the statute does not seem to apply to educational institutions, so it may not help. But it should, and we need to push this office to begin to consider this problem that again... they have already admitted exists. (see above)  Same with med school, etc.

The military? That is the worst. They own you, body and soul. Conscientious objection in the military is a whole different animal, and they have a process. Some have been able to do it, but very few.

But the good news is that a door has appeared. And we can begin the process, perhaps even a good faith process, of raising all the questions that need to be properly addressed, even if most of the individual cases we want fixed don't have a formal pathway to justice.

This is a beginning, not a fix. Cautious optimism is recommended. As is action.

The religious rights of families in Mississippi, California and West Virginia, along with health care workers and military members, have been violated by demands that they be vaccinated against the conscience of those who hold a pro-life view, and do not want to receive vaccines made from aborted fetal cell lines.

Today HHS gives us an official channel to protest this violation of the 1st Amendment.

CDC Issues a Gag Order on CDC Employees

Axios has obtained an internal message from the CDC's public affairs officer, Jeffrey Lancashire, dated August 31, to all CDC employees.  His directive to them was to stop talking to the media, “even for a simple data-related question.”

CDC cracks down on communications with reporters

The memo reads:

"Effective immediately and until further notice, any and all correspondence with any member of the news media, regardless of the nature of the inquiry, must be cleared through CDC's Atlanta Communications Office. This correspondence includes everything from formal interview requests to the most basic of data requests."

Axios tried to contact Mr. Lancashire to find out more about the policy; however, he has not responded.

Why is even basic data being treated like state secrets?

It's almost like the CDC has something to hide.

Doctors Assumptions: Humiston, Boonstra, and Savoy Train Physicians on How To Fail

On Friday, August 25th, a webinar was held, sponsored by Pfizer, called "Getting Parents to Yes! Vaccine Conversations That Work for Providers & Parents".

"With parents consuming so much conflicting health information about their babies and children, providing an effective vaccination recommendation can be harder than ever. Fortunately, there are strategies for discussing immunization with parents that can help them feel comfortable protecting their babies and children with on time immunization.

During this session, pediatrician Dr. Sharon Humiston will moderate a panel with pediatrician Dr. Nathan Boonstra and family physician Dr. Margot Savoy, who will share their top tips for having positive and productive vaccine conversations with parents. Join us on Friday, August 25 at 12 p.m. Eastern to gain insights and tips that you can begin implementing in your practice immediately."

I listened in to see if they were going to recommend anything egregious to the physicians. Surprisingly, it was not horrible. Well it was pretty much the arrogant garbage we already know and experience. Be the expert, be aggressive, blah, blah, blah. To their credit, they did stop short of recommending the full on bulldozing of parents, they didn't recommend dismissing non vaccinating parents from practices, and they did (for a split second) admit they had biases.

To one of the women's discredit (I could not be sure of who was talking at the time) she expressed her strong umbrage at being told by parents that they were declining vaccines because they had, "done their research on the internet," then burst out laughing at the incredulous and outrageous nature of such a statement.  (Ahem... ma'am... you do realize you are teaching on the internet right now, yes???) #Irony

Actually the presentation was pretty weak. They don't really have a solution to getting parents refusals. Because, of course, they have not correctly diagnosed the reasons that they are refusing. And when you have the wrong dx, the tx ain't gonna work.

So there was not a lot of me loosing my mind listening to them, just a bit of eye rolling. And a bit of compassion, actually.

THEY ARE SO LOST. They are wandering around lost in the woods, pretending to know where they are going, that they are experts on the terrain, and teaching other lost doctors how to find their way out... of they woods they are lost in.  (But to be fair, they are being paid by Pfizer to wander around lost in the woods, so perhaps they are happy there.)

So I wrote to them. I coulda sent a buncha stuff, but this is what I thought might be the most helpful to them. Tried to back them up at least to the right starting point. I figure maybe if I can convince them to get to the trail head, they might be able to see where they have gone wrong from that vantage point, and perhaps move in the right direction.

No answer as of yet. I will update if they do. But they won't. They never do. Because they don't have to.

This is her alert to families today.  Water is rising and they need to be prepared:

To Members of the Autism Community in Texas/Louisiana Impacted by Harvey:
SAFETY IS JOB #1: This is an active event. Dangerous flooding is still possible and water may rise through early next week. Pay attention to river crest levels and check to ensure your family is at an elevation above those levels. You can find your current sea level elevation here. Residents will continue to see extensive rainfall. Safety is Job #1 for you and your families.  Do your best to get into a safe, quiet place as quickly as possible. If you do not have natural supports where you can evacuate to be with family or friends, get into a hotel room as quickly as possible.
 
Please be alert and guard against distraction.  Wandering and elopement are especially dangerous in our community right now due to high flood waters.
 
Emergency officials and Unlocking Autism volunteers will triage individuals in this order SAFETY, SHELTER, FOOD/WATER, CLOTHING, MEDICINE (unless it is life sustaining medication).

Please continue to register families of kids with ASD hereWe have people on standby that can help them and counsel with them and pray with them and help them calm down.  Other moms who know what this is like.

 
ONCE YOU HAVE DETERMINED YOU ARE AT A SAFE ELEVATION IN A SECURE SHELTER, BE SURE YOU ARE REGISTERED WITH FEMA/DISASTER ASSISTANCE BELOW: 

Critical Needs Assessment:  FEMA may provide financial assistance to individuals and households who, as a result of the disaster, have immediate or critical needs because they are displaced from their primary dwelling. Immediate or critical needs are life-saving and life-sustaining items including, but not limited to: water, food, first aid, prescriptions, infant formula, diapers, consumable medical supplies, durable medical equipment, personal hygiene items, and fuel for transportation. Critical Needs Assistance (CNA) is awarded under the Other Needs Assistance provision of the Individuals and Households Program (IHP) and is subject to a state cost share. It is a one-time $500 payment per household. The State must request that FEMA authorize CNA in a disaster for specific geographic areas that are expected to be inaccessible for an extended period of time (i.e., seven days or longer). The eligibility period for CNA corresponds to the standard registration period for IHP, which is 60 days from the date of the Presidential disaster declaration.

Individuals and households may be eligible for CNA if all of the following have been met:

  • A registration is completed with FEMA;
  • The applicant passes identity verification;
  • At registration, the applicant asserts that they have critical needs and requests financialassistance for those needs and expenses;
  • Their pre-disaster primary residence is located in a county that is designated for CNA; an
  • The applicant is displaced from their pre-disaster primary residence as a result of the disaster.

Transitional Shelter Assistance:  FEMA may provide Transitional Shelter Assistance (TSA) to applicants who are unable to return to their pre-disaster primary residence because their home is either unihabitaable or inaccessible due to a Presidentially-declared disaster. TSA is intended to reduce the number of disaster survivors in congregate shelters by transitioning survivors into short-term accomodations through direct payments to lodging providers. TSA does not count toward an applicant’s maximum amount of assistance available under the Individuals and Households Program (IHP).

TSA is funded under Section 403 of the Stafford Act and is subject to a state cost-share. The State may request that FEMA authorize the use of TSA for the declared disaster in specific geographic areas.

The affected state, territorial, or tribal government may request TSA. This form of assistance may be considered when the scale and projected duration of the declared incident results in an extended displacement of disaster survivors. The state, territorial, or tribal government, in coordination with FEMA, identifies areas that are inaccessible or that incurred damage which prevents disaster survivors from returning to their pre-disaster primary residence for an extended period of time.

Under TSA, disaster survivors may be eligible to stay in an approved hotel or motel for a limited period of time and have the cost of the room and taxes covered by FEMA. For those who are eligible, FEMA will authorize and fund, through direct payments to participating hotels/ motels, the use of hotels/motels as transitional shelters.  The applicant is responsible for all other costs associated with lodging and amenities, including, but not limted to  incidental room charges or amenities, such as telephone, room service, food, etc.

The initial period of assistance will be 5-14 (adjustable to 30 days, if needed) days from date of TSA implementation. FEMA, in conjunction with the state, territorial, or tribal government, may extend this period of assistance, if needed,  in 14-day intervals for up to six months from the date of disaster declaration.

Individuals and households who are not eligible for TSA will be referred to local agencies or voluntary organizations for possible assistance.

Individuals and households may be eligible for TSA, if:

  • Register with FEMA for assistance
  • Pass identity and citizenship verification
  • Their pre-disaster primary residence is located in a geographic area that is designated for TSA
  • As a result of the disaster, they are displaced from their pre-disaster primary residence
  • They are unable to obtain lodging through another source

FEMA provides eligible applicants access to a list of approved hotels in their area, and applicants may choose to stay at any approved hotel or facility identified by FEMA. The list of approved hotels is available at http://www.femaevachotels.com/index.php or the FEMA Helpline. FEMA provides applicants with access and functional needs additional assistance in locating approved hotels to meet their needs.

FEMA bases the amount of TSA on the maximum lodging rate plus taxes for the locality, as identified by the General Services Administration (GSA).

Extending TSA

When FEMA extends TSA eligible applicants are allowed to remain in transitional sheltering through the end of the extended interval if they are otherwise eligible for IHP Assistance, or both

of the following apply:

  • FEMA is currently considering the applicant’s eligibility for Temporary Housing Assistance or is waiting for documentation from the applicant needed to consider eligibility
  • They meet other conditions of eligibility established by FEMA and the coordinating state, territorial, or tribal government

Ending TSA

  • If an applicant who is receiving TSA is approved for Rental Assistance, their TSA-eligibility will terminate at the end of the 14-day interval.
  • Applicants who are not eligible for IHP Assistance may only remain in transitional sheltering until their TSA interval expires.

Bill Nemitz and the Portland Press Herald’s disregard for reality poses a threat for all of us

The Portland Press Herald has been an Offit Outlet since 2014 when their "health" writer wrote his first hit piece on vaccine injury families, then three weeks later shared the stage with Paul Offit at the National Press Club as an example of what a great vaccine writer looks like.  Again, he wrote ONE ARTICLE on vaccination.

Their propaganda campaign continues with a new op ed by a popular Maine writer, speaking arrogantly and from a place of profound ignorance about the vaccine program, who opens his article with, "A small but growing number of parents think inoculations carry risks, but the biggest risk for their kids – and the rest of us – is not getting vaccinated at all."

For the record, it's a growing number of parents, four federal agencies, The US Congress, The US Court of Federal Claims, The Supreme Court of the United States of America, and all vaccine makers, that think vaccines carry risk... the last of which lists hundreds of those risks on the package inserts, after agreeing with all listed above that all FDA approved vaccines are, "Unavoidably Unsafe."  

In this piece, Nemitz says parents are "self-centered" for believing all three branches of the US Government, and product manufactures because... and I am not kidding... when the writer was young there was a place called Polio Pond, where people were afraid of getting polio, even though no one ever contracted polio there.  This in an article where he exclaims that, "Anti-vaccine movement’s disregard for reality poses a threat for all of us."  (Also... MEASLES! PERTUSSIS! WAKEFIELD! SCIENCE!  Did you know that you don't wanna vaccinate, "Because a crusading quack made claims 20 years ago that have never, not once, been backed up by real science?"  Perhaps some day a piece of science will show vaccines are associated with autism.)

Mr Nemitz diversions from reality in this op ed are many.  I started writing a piece to combat all the fiction and fantasy here, but I gave up at eight pages and just sent him this email.   No response.  

Also for the record, Nemitz reports that, "Here in Maine, the first measles case in 20 years was reported last month in Farmington – a female who contracted the virus during overseas travel."  The case was reported internationally as a dangerous measles outbreak, caused by "anti-vaxxers", as if the black death had come to Maine.  In fact, no outbreak occurred, no transmission took place, and from what I understand, no Mainer has actually had the measles.

Rachelle Cohen Wants You Dead, But You Are Not To Respond In Kind

Last week in the Boston Herald, Rachelle Cohen wrote about the presentation on vaccine information by Mark Blaxill and the Vaccine Safety Council of Minnesota given to the Minneapolis Somali community, errantly reporting that they had given false information to those in attendance, and expressing her opinion that they should be killed for holding the event.

These are the facts: Vaccines don’t cause autism. Measles can kill. And lying to vulnerable people about the health and safety of their children ought to be a hanging offense.” - Editorial: Preying on parents’ fear, Boston Herald editorial staff Monday, May 08, 2017

Health Choice Massachusetts, of which Boston resident Mark Blaxill is a member, formally reached out to Ms. Cohen and requested a meeting, so that the upsetting and incorrect column could be addressed properly.

Ms. Cohen declined the invitation. Her reasoning? That she had received angry and harassing messages from the public for calling for the deaths of vaccine injury parents, and that it was Health Choice MA's fault.

Because they had scheduled a protest rally.

Protesting her calling for the murder of their members.

Specifically for one of their members who was the individual addressing the Somali families at the event in question.

So it was THEIR fault that people were angry with her for calling for the lynching of people whose loved ones, or who themselves, had been harmed by vaccines.

Not her fault for openly advocating for the violent, humiliating and torturous deaths of US citizens for the crime of talking about corruption.

Some of these behaviors and traits include head banging, spinning, hand flapping, poop smearing, delayed speech, speech regression, inability to speak, speaking in an abnormal tone of voice, repeating words and phrases over and over again, yelling, crying, or laughing for no apparent reason, obsessive attachment to unusual objects, gastrointestinal problems, explosive diarrhea, extreme sensitivity to light, sound and touch, indifference to temperature or pain, difficulty understanding other people’s feelings, reactions, or facial expressions, resistance to being touched, failure to bond or emotionally connect with parents, siblings, and others, wandering, and lack of fear of water sometimes resulting in drowning.
* Autism is normal.
* Autism is a gift.
* Autism should be celebrated.
* Parents who don’t celebrate their kids’ autism are selfish crybabies.
* Autism is an evolutionary response to the computer age.
* No vaccine has ever caused autism.
* Only one now debunked paper written solely by one now disgraced doctor has ever linked vaccines to autism.
* That man is a fraud and he’s personally responsible for killing millions of babies just like Hitler.

* Media outlets can be trusted because they always report the truth about vaccines.
* Media outlets are not influenced by corporate sponsors or government censorship.
* Media should shame and mock parents of vaccine-injured children, especially the moms.
* Media should libel and misquote doctors and scientists who address vaccine safety issues.
* Media should not give fair and equal airtime to parents of vaccine-injured children.
* Media sponsored hate speech is bad … unless it’s targeting parents of vaccine-injured children.
* Media should slam movies such as Vaxxed without ever watching them.

* The pharmaceutical industry does not influence medical school curriculum.
* Doctors are taught everything there is to know about vaccination:

      1. disease is bad
      2. vaccines are good
      3. the vaccine schedule
      4. vaccine administration and
      5. strategies to coerce vaccine hesitant parents and others to vaccinate.

* Listen to your doctor … unless your doctor warns you about the dangers of vaccination.
* The ethical principle of informed consent which was established after World War II to prevent further medical experimentation on uninformed and unwilling subjects does not apply to vaccination.
* When doctors coerce and threaten parents to vaccinate their kids, they are not violating medical ethics.
* Medical providers should chart adverse events from medications, but they should deny vaccine-induced adverse events because vaccines are safe and effective.
* Doctors who address vaccine safety concerns should lose their medical licenses.

* The HPV vaccine has been proven to prevent cancer.
* Teen aged girls who fake injury—including paralysis, full body tics, and debilitating pain resulting in being confined to their homes and beds—after getting the HPV vaccine should see a shrink for psychological problems.
* Exposure to chickenpox and measles in childhood provides no health benefits later in life.
* Getting chickenpox is very bad and very scary.
* Getting measles is very, very bad and very, very scary because measles is one of the most lethal diseases on Earth and probably in the whole universe. That’s why parents used to take their kids to measles and chickenpox parties.

* Vaccines don’t contain human fetal DNA.
* Only two babies have been aborted for vaccine research.

* Vaccines used to contain mercury, but that doesn’t matter because it was the good kind.
* Vaccines don’t contain mercury anymore, but that doesn’t matter because it was the good kind.
* Vaccines now banned in developed countries because they contained mercury are still being used in developing countries, but that doesn’t matter because it’s the good kind.
* The amount of mercury in some “preservative- or thimerosal-free” vaccines exceeds the EPA safety limit and must be disposed of as hazardous waste. But that doesn’t matter, because it’s the good kind of hazardous waste.

* Aluminum is a known neurotoxin and is proven to play a significant role in promoting neurological diseases like Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, dementia, and autism. That’s why it’s safe to inject newborns with aluminum in excess of EPA safety limits.
* Aluminum is essential for optimal brain functioning and development.

* There is no valid reason for religious people to object to vaccination because God has no problem with injecting healthy babies time and time again with a variety of cell-killing and brain-damaging concoctions.

* People get Hepatitis B from dirty needles and sexual activity. That’s why Hep B negative mothers should consent to have their 1 day old infants injected with the Hep B vaccine.

* Pus from cowpox eradicated smallpox.
* 10% of the Earth’s population received smallpox vaccines. That’s why nearly everyone needs to be vaccinated to eradicate a disease.
* Not getting the chickenpox vaccine will kill millions of people from smallpox.
* Not getting the measles vaccine will put millions of kids in iron lungs.
* Environmental toxins and tonsillectomies had nothing to do with America’s polio epidemic and polio disease reclassification had nothing to do with reversing the epidemic.
* The polio vaccine used in India is not causing paralysis in 30,000 children per year.

* Sanitation, clean drinking water, and good food are responsible for the reduction of diseases for which there are currently no vaccines. However, once a vaccine is developed for any of those diseases, the previous statement will no longer be valid.

* Immunocompromised people should not be vaccinated with live virus vaccines … unless they live in developing countries.
* The oral polio vaccine should never be given to HIV positive people … unless they live in Africa.
* Being sick is no reason not to get vaccinated.

* It would be unethical to conduct a prospective vaxxed vs. unvaxxed study because withholding vaccines from children would kill them.
* It would be impossible to conduct a retroprospective vaxxed vs. unvaxxed study because all the unvaxxed kids have already died from vaccine preventable diseases.

* Vaccines have never been tested for safety with pregnant women and their fetuses. That’s why it’s safe to inject them in pregnant women.
* Pregnant women should avoid alcohol, antibiotics, Thalidomide, and other pharmaceutical products, but should receive all vaccines offered them at any stage of their pregnancies.
* Babies are born vaccine deficient.
* Premature infants need the protection from vaccines even more than full term infants.
* Even though the pertussis vaccine does not prevent the transmission of pertussis and is known to result in asymptomatic carriers of the disease, vaccinating family members is the best way to protect newborns from whooping cough.

*Drug companies make drugs for profit, but they make vaccines out of the goodness of their hearts.
* Anti-vaxxers enrich themselves writing and selling anti-vaccine propaganda.

* The industry has never lied about vaccine safety, efficacy, or necessity.
* The industry has never faked vaccine research.
* The industry would never divide vaccine lots to spread out and hide vaccine injury and death.
* The industry would never test vaccines on orphans, disabled people, or people of color.
* Merck lied about Vioxx, but it would never lie about its vaccines.
* Merck supervisors did not order its scientists to fake the efficacy of the mumps vaccine.

* The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation didn’t get booted out of India for conducting cloaked vaccine trials on Indian girls resulting in thousands of injuries and hundreds of deaths.
* The Gates Foundation isn’t preparing to vaccinate hundreds of thousands of African babies with an experimental malaria vaccine known to have negative efficacy, meaning that vaccinated babies get malaria at a higher rate than vaccine free babies.

* The CDC’s primary interest is the health and safety of American children.
* The CDC can be trusted to regulate vaccine safety issues because it owns over 50 vaccine patents and profits from vaccine sales.
* CDC employees have no conflicts of interest.
* When the CDC reports that the flu vaccine is 40% effective, that means that the vaccine prevents the flu in four out of ten people.
* CDC employees have never consorted with industry or the medical establishment to hide the relationship between mercury-containing Thimerosal and autism.
* CDC employees have never consorted with industry or the medical establishment to hide the relationship between the MMR vaccine and autism.
* CDC employees have never trashed data linking the MMR vaccine to autism.
* There is no CDC whistleblower.

* There is no such thing as a Vaccine Court because there’s no such thing as vaccine injury.
* The Vaccine Court has not paid out more than $3.5 billion for vaccine injury and death.

* Congress is not influenced by donations from Big Pharma.
* Congress has never ignored vaccine safety issues.
* Congress has never been complicit in hiding vaccine safety issues from the public.

* Scientific journals can be trusted.
* The papers in scientific journals can be trusted.
* The drug industry does not ghostwrite pro-vax papers for scientists to sign.
* Scientists who address vaccine safety issues should be censured or fired.

* The anti-vax movement is a recent phenomenon.
* Anti-vaxxers get their information from a Playboy bunny.
* Anti-vaxxers get their information from the Internet and everybody knows you can’t trust anything on the Internet, except for the CDC, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the pharmaceutical industry.
* The AAP has no conflicts of interest with the pharmaceutical industry.

* All unvaccinated people are dangerous vectors of disease.
* All vaccinated kids with HIV, Hep B, chicken pox, measles, influenza, whooping cough, etc., should be allowed in school.
* All children recently vaccinated with live virus vaccines should be allowed in school.
* All unvaxxed kids are by definition sick and dangerous disease vectors.
* All unvaxxed kids should be banned from school, because they’re especially dangerous on weekdays from 8 am to 3 pm.
* All anti-vaxxers are anti-science.
* All anti-vaxxers are baby killers.
* All anti-vaxxers should lose custody of their children.
* All anti-vaxxers should be quarantined, jailed, or hung.
* When someone dies of a disease, unvaccinated people should be charged, tried, and convicted of murder.

* Pro-vaxxers are logical, pro-science, and open-minded.
* Pro-vaxxers tolerate differing points of view and are all around caring, compassionate people.

Autism, Learn To Live With It.

White-flagNOTE: Seems like since Mrs. Wright's death last year, Autism Speaks has changed its mission from "It's time to listen," to "It's time to give up." What a sin. Let's live with autism. Cancer. Alzheimers. Diabetes. MD. Raise money and live with it. Disgusting in the extreme.

Just saw a new Autism Speaks commercial. The message...

"Learn to live with it."

I kid you not. 

(Let's just skip past the horrid imagery of a child with autism on a boat in the water with no supervision for the sake of time and trauma.)

For the few people who don't see a problem with this or understand why so many of us are so angry, please contrast compare two possible positions here.  The first has been espoused by our community for more than a decade, the second is espoused by Autism Speaks.

1. Autism is preventable and medically treatable.

2. Autism, learn to live with it.

The first is accurate and appropriate, as there are medical treatments for people diagnosed with autism that will alleviate the symptoms of autism (some of which are life threatening...  re: children in a boat in the water with no supervision). This will make their lives better without them having to spend hours and weeks and years combating a terribly debilitating condition. If there is medical treatment available for a debilitating condition, is ethical to tell people that there is medical treatment available for their debilitating condition.
