New Autism Numbers "Case Study in Total Depravity"

IncreaseNote: Thank you to Laura Hayes for bringing this article from Toby Rogers' Substack to my attention. I've excerpted and linked to the full article, which you can read without a subscription. I just subscribed for the full year. It's important to support each other. And here comes April with the blue month of celebration. We may never know who decided autism was going to become a difference to be celebrated or ignored, depending where one is on the spectrum. I'd start with Anthony Fauci - he's been in power since the rate was 1 in 10,000.

Newly released autism prevalence estimates show that the iatrogenocide is expanding
The mainstream narrative lies in ruins and the CDC response is a case study in total depravity

Toby Rogers
Mar 28

I. Introduction

The new autism numbers came out last Thursday. We all knew that they would be bad because nearly every prevalence report for the last 20 years has shown increasing rates. We also knew that once again the CDC and mainstream media would try to spin increasing prevalence as “good news” in the Orwellian way that they do.

Let’s walk through the two reports and then have a brief conversation about what we do about this.

II. The new numbers

There are several systems for tracking autism prevalence in the U.S. including the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Network (ADDM), National Survey for Children’s Health (NSCH), and National Health Interview Survey (NHIS). There are also federal programs including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) that have their own counts.

The two reports that came out on Thursday were from ADDM which tends to estimate lower autism prevalence (owing to slightly different research methods) than some of the other surveys.

NVIC Newsletter: National Academies Committee Meets to Review COVID-19 Vaccine Adverse Events

NVIC logoNational Academies Committee Meets to Review COVID-19 Vaccine Adverse Events

By NVIC Staff

Published March 23, 2023 in Science

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM) announced late yesterday that a public comment session will be held next week relating to the committee charge of reviewing relevant literature regarding adverse events associated with COVID-19 vaccines and shoulder injury related to vaccine administration (SIRVA). The meeting will be live-streamed, and there is an opportunity for public comment.

The review of epidemiological, clinical, and biological evidence has been requested by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and appears to be in preparation for the addition of vaccine injuries to the federal vaccine injury table. According to the NASEM presentation given to the Advisory Commission for Childhood Vaccines (ACCV) in December 2022, the report and its findings are expected in March 2024.1

Injuries Under Review

DHHS has asked the NASEM committee to review the medical literature for the following vaccine adverse events to determine if the evidence indicates that COVID-19 vaccines are causally associated:

  • Guillain-Barrè Syndrome (GBS)
  • chronic inflammatory demyelinating
  • polyneuropathy (CIDP)
  • transverse myelitis (TM)
  • Bell’s palsy
  • hearing loss
  • chronic headaches
  • infertility
  • sudden death
  • myocarditis/pericarditis
  • thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS)
  • immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP)
  • thromboembolic events (e.g., cerebrovascular accident (CVA), myocardial infarction (MI), pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
  • capillary leak syndrome

The review of literature for SIRVA will be the second review by the NASEM, with the first review published in their last report in 2012.2

The book begins with a close look at the actual human reality behind the statistics, and when you see the people who are represented by the dry term Excess Mortality, it’s difficult to accept so many unexpected sudden deaths of young athletes, known to be the healthiest among us. Similarly, when lots of healthy teenagers and young adults die in their sleep without obvious reason, collapse and die on a family outing, or fall down dead while playing sports, that all by itself raises an immediate public health concern. Or at least it used to.

Ask yourself if you recall seeing these kinds of things occurring during your own life—in junior high? In high school? In college? How many times in your life did you hear of a performer dropping dead on stage in mid-performance? Your own life experience and intuition will tell you that what you’re about to see is not normal.

Or at least it wasn’t normal before 2021.

Big Pharma and health agencies cry "Don't take ivermectin!" A media storm follows. Why then, does the science say the opposite?

Ivermectin is a dirty word in the media. The drug has been derided and declared useless. Doctors have earnestly recorded pleas asking those afflicted with COVID-19 not to take the drug. But why?

The War on Ivermectin is the personal and professional narrative of Dr. Pierre Kory, the co-founder of an expert group of physicians’, and his plight to alert the world of his group's identification of ivermectin as a highly-effective, life-saving, widely available generic medicine with an obvious ability to end the global pandemic. In this book, Dr. Kory details all the personal attacks, professional setbacks, and concerted, corrupt, and highly effective actions which influenced the world’s major health agencies and medical journals to dismiss and deny it’s efficacy.

Polygraph Expert on Fight or Flight and Fauci

By Louis Conte

Many are aware of the Fight or Flight response. It is the response built into our nervous system that is activated when we encounter a threat. As a polygraph examiner, it is the physiology associated with fight or flight that we are measuring in determining whether the examinee is being truthful or deceptive during a polygraph.

When the brain perceives a threat, the fight or flight response (which is also referred to as the Freeze, Fight or Flight Response) is activated so that we are prepared to run or engage in combat. The amygdala, an almond-shaped structure deep within our brain, triggers the release of stress hormones into the blood stream. Breathing increases but also becomes shallower. The heart beats faster, pumping blood to major muscle groups in the arms and legs – to prepare for strenuous physical activity - but away from internal and digestive organs. Sometimes this causes people to vomit. The bladder may relax, and I have observed some people literally “pee in their pants.” The mouth goes dry. The eyes also dry out, which causes the rate of blinking to increase. Blood rushes from hands and feet, leaving them cold and sweaty. Perspiration increases throughout the body. Arms and legs may tremble while tension increases in the arms, legs, neck, and shoulders. The mind hyper focuses, pupils dilate, and “Tunnel Vision” may result. I have observed that people’s eyes dart around, perhaps to locate escape routes. On one occasion, I observed a man faint during a polygraph while experiencing fight or flight because he had been caught in a lie.

In this scene from the Soprano’s, we see poor Adrianna La Cerva’s expression of fight or flight response in clear detail when she is unexpectedly pulled into a meeting with law enforcement.

Interrogation of Adriana

I have seen people do some crazy things in polygraph sessions. As I really do not want people peeing themselves, passing out or puking, I often advise examinees to just tell the truth, come what may. Going through life lying and keeping dark secrets can damage people physically and emotionally. One way or another, the truth will come out.

Autism one in 36 (one in 22 boys) It’s all good

By now anyone who’s interested has seen the latest upswing in the autism rate. As usual, the underlying message is, it’s nothing to worry about.

No one ever talks about more kids actually having autism. That’s long been THE REALLY BIG LIE ABOUT AUTISM, something I’ve expressly written about over the years.

Here once again are references to greater awareness, along with diagnosing delays due to COVID, more girls being detected, more minority children now being diagnosed, and “demographic differences”—although none of this could explain the latest leap from one in 44 to one in 36.

USA Today quoted Dr. Andy Shihchief science officer of Autism Speaks, who conveniently took credit for the new numbers.

Shih: ‘This increase is really fueled by us doing a much better job in identifying minority children with autism.’

I will give USA Today’s Karen Weintraub credit for also citing Dr. Walter Zahorodny in her story.

I saw a beautiful video right before World Down Syndrome day last week.  The video was quite moving and reminded me of a young man Ronan and I met a few years ago.  That encounter that had me grinning from ear to ear, so I wrote post about it.  In honor of those who have Down Syndrome, I thought I’d share that video and ask Kim to rerun that post today.

In that story from 2017, I shared a happy moment.  I also shared some tips to help people  focus on the ability.  As the world gears up to recognize autism, feel free to add some tips of your own in the comments.

Beyond The Disability, 2017

By Cathy Jameson

We were at a children’s hospital last week for some testing.  Ronan had two appointments spaced several hours apart.  It was going to be a very long day for him.  It was going to be a very long one for me, too.  Despite that, I was actually looking forward to our day out.  We were catching up with one Ronan’s providers we met about a year ago.  Integral in getting some much-needed equipment and services for my son, I looked forward to hearing what else he might suggest I could, or should, be doing for Ronan.  Before that follow-up appointment though, Ronan was scheduled to see a new doctor.  He was also scheduled for some testing.  New people and new testing can make me nervous.  Understandably, they can make Ronan nervous, too.

Ronan got through the first part of the day pretty really well.  Complimented for his patience and how he managed to deal with the intense sensory overload one of the tests caused him, the nurses and the doctors we encountered remained very positive and very patient-centered.  Speaking to Ronan, showing him the equipment they were going to use, and asking him for input knowing that he would not respond, they made Ronan as comfortable as they possibly could.  I was pleased.  Other families we saw coming in and out of the exam rooms that morning also looked pleased.

The Defender: In New Autism Report, CDC Again Fails to Address Root Causes

WhyAofA Editor-At-Large Mark Blaxill has updated his prevalence slides to reflect the 2023 announcement. The 11 slides are at the end of this post.

In New Autism Report, CDC Again Fails to Address Root Causes

One wonders how high autism spectrum disorder prevalence will climb before public policy moves beyond its current focus on equity toward addressing the root causes of the condition.

By Cynthia Nevison, Ph.D.

The newly released Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network report finds that autism spectrum disorder (ASD) prevalence in the U.S. has increased to 2.8%, or 1 in 36 U.S. children born in 2012 — up from 1 in 44 from the previous report for children born in 2010.

Prevalence among 8-year-old boys was 4.3% nationwide and as high as 6.9% in California.

The policy focus of the new report is centered not around the increasing ASD rates, but rather around a social justice narrative in which disability issues take a back seat to the equity implications.

While the ADDM reports of the 2000s declared rising rates of ASD an “urgent public health concern,” the most recent reports have abandoned that messaging.

The Defender On Another Increase in Autism Rates

Slide1Mark Blaxill has updated his prevalence slides to reflect the most current data. The slides are at the end of this post. The article below from The Defender quotes Mark, who is AofA's Editor-At-Large and co-founder.

1 in 36 Kids Have Autism, CDC Says — Critics Slam Agency’s Failure to Investigate Causes

One in 36 (2.8%) 8-year-old children — 4% of boys and 1% of girls — have an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), based on an analysis of data from 2020, published today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

One in 36 (2.8%) 8-year-old children — 4% of boys and 1% of girls — have an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), based on an analysis of data from 2020, published today (actual date, 3/23/23) by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The latest findings, reported in the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, show an increase from the last report, which found 1 in 44 8-year-olds (2.3%) had autism in 2018.

Since the CDC started collecting the data, prevalence estimates have skyrocketed from 1 in 150 in 2000, to today’s estimate of 1 in 36 children.

The trend has persisted for decades. Autism prevalence in the 1990s, which was 1 in 1,000 children, already represented a tenfold increase over the condition’s estimated prevalence in the 1970s.

Commenting on today’s report, Mark Blaxill, from the Executive Leadership Team at Health Choice, told The Defender:

“As the American culture wars have intensified, the harsh reality of the autism epidemic has been tucked away into obscurity as attention has turned to a whole new set of health concerns.

“Today’s new report from the CDC’s ADDM [Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring] Network places the latest ASD rate at 1 in 36 children born in 2012, but that’s not even the largest number out there (a recent survey using NHIS data reported a rate of 1 in 29 children in 2020).”  READ MORE AT THE DEFENDER HERE.Slide1

CDC Report on Autism: One In Thirty Sicks

WeepCDC just released the latest autism prevalence data.  1 in 36 American children have autism. This morning, the rate was 1 in 44. Safeminds has an excellent report.

4% of Boys and 1% of Girls Aged 8 Years Now Have the Disorder

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has just released its latest prevalence rate estimates for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The CDC reports that 1 in 36 or 2.8% of American 8-year-olds has an autism diagnosis. This rate is a 22% increase from the last reporting period (December 2021), when the figure was already astonishingly high at 1 in 44 children. The new prevalence rate reflects an incredible 4-fold increase in the disorder since the CDC started collecting prevalence estimates data in 2000.

The study, published in the March 23, 2023 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, used the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network to estimate the number of 8 year-old-children with ASD in 2020 (birth year 2012) from 11 different areas, including Arizona, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Tennessee, Utah, and Wisconsin. ASD prevalence per 1,000 children aged 8 years ranged from a low (23.1) in Maryland to a high (44.9) in California. For the second time, the ADDM Network recognized California as having the highest autism rates in the country. Also reported was the staggering fact that nearly 7% of all 8-year-old boys in the San Diego region have the disorder. Read more at Safeminds.

Is Severe Autism Measured Adequately?

What the heckIs Severe Autism Measured Adequately? New Commentary Believes there’s a Better Way to Measure How the Condition Impacts Life - see the article below from the Safeminds site.

Maybe ask AND BELIEVE the parents who have been shouting for 2 decades, instead of telling us to ACCEPT! ACCEPT! ACCEPT! And stop gaslighting our children's PLIGHT away into a supper dee duper Swiss Army knife set of self-selected differences.  We acknowledge and support families and individuals any and everywhere on the spectrum. But let there be no doubt, the most affected, and certainly those who regressed following vaccine injury, have been marginalized and all but vaporized by the "approved" narrative. The puzzle piece has been cast aside for a rainbow infinity symbol - a visual slap in the face. Remember that in 2012, the DSM V removed Asperger's as a diagnosis. Many of our kids were diagnosed PDD-NOS as tots, Pervasive Developmental Disorder - Not Other Specified. Wasn't the code 299.0 - and rarely did insurance cover anything?  The changes to terminology have confused everyone. We're happy to see strides to better measure - but honestly, if experts listened to the experienced voices of parents of kids across the spectrum, we might be in a much better place.  Thanks to Safeminds for featuring this info.

New Commentary Believes there’s a Better Way to Measure How the Condition Impacts Life

A new commentary featured in the journal, Autism Research, calls for a more effective way of measuring severe autism that details specifically how an individual’s autism severity level impacts their life. Autism severity is currently defined and measured based exclusively on the levels of two core symptom domains: social-communication and restrictive or repetitive patterns of behaviors and interests. However, the commentary’s authors point out that people with autism are often diagnosed with other medical, developmental, and psychological co-occurring conditions. These additional challenges may include intellectual disability, limited expressive and/or receptive language, and anxiety disorders. All of which can have a significant impact on day-to-day life. The authors also indicate that core symptoms and co-occurring conditions interact across development, influencing the other’s trajectory over time. Due to these reasons, the team believes that a multidimensional, measurable definition of autism severity could be helpful.

Andrew Mitchell and the British State as Vaccine Manufacturer

2E512ED9-5D0B-4D1E-8BE3-703924D9343EBy John Stone

This is a commentary to one of the oddest events in modern British politics which occurred in the House of Commons last week when MP Andrew Bridgen got up to give a speech on the Covid shot fallout and the entire chamber emptied - involving the unusual behaviour of veteran Foreign Office minister and long time Bill Gates familiar Andrew Mitchell. In only a few seconds there were only seven MPs left out of a potential 643: these included four government representatives, the deputy Speaker and just one person supporting Andrew Bridgen, Christopher Chope. No one was present from any of the opposition parties to hear Bridgen’s meticulously documented speech.

While it is hard determine exactly what Mitchell was up to he certainly provides an interesting thread to tug at, since as well as being Minister for International Development and Africa he is also a ‘Polio Eradication Gender Champion’, an honour bestowed by the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, a project of the WHO, Rotary International, the US CDC, UNICEF, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and GAVI. Of course, as we have seen these things can go wrong. Despite this interest in vaccination Mitchell did not stop to listen to what Andrew Bridgen had to say, and consider it on its merits.

When it comes to African polio vaccines the British state is peculiarly conflicted: it is not only that as Andrew Bridgen and many others have pointed out the MHRA (the UK licensing authority) is largely paid for by the industry and therefore not remotely independent from it, it is actually through its subsidiary National Institute for Biological Standards and Control part of a partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the WHO manufacturing the products. Last year I transcribed some passages from an MHRA meeting (courtesy of UK Column)  involving the interim director of NIBSC Mark Bailey and the Chairman of the MHRA  Stephen Lightfoot:

Bailey:

Significant investment by NIBSC and also its partners the Gates foundation and of course its part of   the WHO lab in (indecipherable) and of course basically premiere eradication. There are three strains of polio and the team at NIBSC developed three different vaccines. It happens that strain two is the one that has been deployed most in clinical trials in Africa and it's listed product by the WHO which mean it can be used in emergency situations even though it is not proved. We are now moving to clinical trials with the other two strains as well, so it's very exciting: it's a huge huge combination: its effect is that this vaccine cannot revert. So the Salk vaccine which was used with most of us as kids there was always a low chance of it reverting back to wild type which means things like polio begins to appear in the population. This is a great leap forward here because it can't revert so basically its much safer.

Lightfoot:

In 2022, 800 children developed paralytic polio from the vaccines.

DO Polio 7 1Many years ago, Dan Olmsted and Mark Blaxill wrote a four part expose of the man made, environmental creation of the polio scare called The Age of Polio: How an Old Virus and New Toxins Created a Man-made Epidemic.

Below is an article from Children's Health Defense's THE DEFENDER on what could only be called reverse efficacy of the worst kind. The kind when a parent is trying to do their best for a child, trusts the doctors and the child ends up grossly injured. The kind so many of our beloved children have lived for so long. The kind that happens when "experts" don't pay attention to the research and writing of men like Dan and Mark.

Dan Olmsted later wrote another  in depth series on the history of Polio that I might run as a bonus read. He was considering turning it into a book before he died. I think we'll re-run the series starting this week, using this article below as the jumping off point. Polio has been held up as the bogeyman to beat all bogeymen by those defending the pediatric vaccine schedule. "But do you want to bring back POLIO" has been spat, spewed and thrown at us like a major league baseball pitching machine. High and to the head.

Seven children were paralyzed by vaccine-derived polio linked to the new nOPV2 polio vaccine developed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, according to health officials in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Burundi and the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), which on Thursday announced the news.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, a GPEI partner, funded the development and clinical trials for the nOPV2 vaccine.

Burundi declared a national emergency after confirming eight cases of the virus and five samples from environmental surveillance of wastewater, the World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement.

The country plans to implement a polio vaccination campaign in the coming weeks, aiming to vaccinate all eligible children, ages 0 to 7, against the virus.

Burundi health authorities also plan to work with the WHO and GPEI to do risk assessments to determine the extent of the outbreak of the vaccine-derived virus.

And they are increasing polio surveillance, with WHO employees collecting additional water samples and possibly opening new environmental surveillance sites.

Like An Infant Discovering Its Hands

01D55AD4-1E7C-46BA-B8B9-0AC9E84F2574Good morning, and happy Monday. From time to time, I will vent and rant about the reverse absurdity we are seeing in the post Covid-hysteria (one can hope) world. Mainstream (or formerly mainstream) journalists are discovering that vaccines can cause harm and that the CDC and public health cabal and even the PresidentS (plural) of the United States will lie straight to the faces of babies and children and parents and young adults and old people about safety and efficacy. FC1CD473-CD93-4FCE-8E68-C438D92276F5

They are like infants discovering their hands.

"Ooooh, what are these? They move! I, I, could it be? Is it... am I making them move? What are they? What do they -whoa! Whoa! It touched my big round ball thing and the tingly itch went away! Are they magic? This is so cool. I need to tell everyone about them!!!! WWWAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

It's a good thing that people are catching on. It's not good that many are learning the hard way. We sympathize. We empathize. We've lived it.

I am worried that as more people speak out against the safety and coercion of the mRNA vaccines, they will also run for cover by proclaiming that the pediatric schedule is now and ever shall be SAFE because it's been around for a long time. So. Have. Our. Children.

A Sense of Urgency

E3D9525B-ED92-4770-A3EE-5484C79FF924By Cathy Jameson

Ronan had a great day out last Saturday, including joining his little brother to the barber shop.  He’s been sleeping a lot more lately, so I thought nothing of the nap Ronan took at the end of that day.  I was tired from my own day out of running errands that same Saturday afternoon.  Come Sunday morning, when Ronan took much longer to wake up, I didn’t fuss either.  Naps are not unusual.  They’re actually welcomed here in our house.  Ronan had felt a tad warm at the end of his Saturday outing, but it was not a worrisome warm.  Later, on Sunday evening, though, when a fever spiked, my positive outlook about the extra-tiredness changed.

Fevers, when uncontrolled, can bring seizures.

Since he stayed curled up on the couch longer than usual Sunday afternoon, I could sit with Ronan and observe him.  I was gone most of Sunday morning into the early afternoon but could easily tell that something was definitely bugging him.  Checking him over, I saw that the outside of his ear was a bit red.  Before going to the barber shop the day before, Ronan was with me at the eye doctor.  He’d gotten a great report on his eyesight and eye health, but I remembered seeing some dried ear wax on his ear before we left.  I’d wiped it away at the doctor’s office, not thinking anything of it nor thinking to look further into the ear.  I wished I had.

What was coming out late Sunday afternoon looked uncomfortable and worse than just dried ear wax.

Keeping a closer eye on his movements and slower demeanor before dinner, I told my husband that we’d likely be bringing him to a clinic that evening.  He agreed – Ronan didn’t look his typical happy self.  Waiting until Monday and hoping to get an appointment at our doctor’s office, may not be wise.  It was around 6:30pm, so our options finding a walk-in clinic that would be open would be limited.  Once dinner was made, we left instructions with Ronan’s siblings as we prepared to get ready to go. While we were out, they’d eat on their own and prep their school bags for their busy week ahead.  I told the kids that I hoped we’d be back by 9 to say prayers with them.

It would be almost an hour later than that before we’d even be close to coming home.

The urgent care parking lot was full.  Patients were waiting in the waiting room as well as waiting in their vehicles.  I sighed.  We knew of only one other clinic close to us that could accommodate Ronan and his needs, so I psyched myself up and headed inside.  The registration process isn’t short, so Ronan and my husband stayed in the car.  That, I learned, would be a mistake.

With how complicated Ronan’s care can be, I was glad that that would be the only mistake of the evening.

Since my son is over the age of 18, he must be present for things like urgent care registration.  I didn’t know this.  “Even though he’s a nonverbal adult with developmental delays?” I asked.  The woman who was getting Ronan’s personal information and his insurance information into the system was kind enough to share the rules and regs with me.  Other people have not been so kind to explain things to me, so I gladly accepted her knowledge and promised to be better prepared next time.  She wouldn’t let me apologize because it was nothing that needed an apology.  “You didn’t know.  And that’s not a bad thing.  You just didn’t know.”

I thanked her for teaching me, and for doing so with only kindness.

The Big, Messy Democracy and Freedom of Speech

FreedomTell us you don't ADORE Katie Wright?  We will never shy away from shouting our truth. We have readers from across the political "spectrum" (Mama mia....) and as we head into 2024, we will not shy away from speaking OUR KIDS TRUTH.  Big, messy and loud.

By Katie Wright

Ask ten Americans to use one word to describe what they like about the United States. I bet nine out of ten say, “freedom.” We place enormous value on the freedom to say what we want to say. The right to free expression is the FIRST amendment of the Constitution for a reason.  Americans detest the idea that the government would censor our opinions and ideas.

America is a big, messy democracy. Americans must accept that others can and will disagree with them. The government must accept that citizens will criticize politicians and policies and the government cannot silence people in return.

We learned in the Twitter hearing that the FBI illegally worked hand in hand with Twitter to censor ideas and opinions the Biden White House did not like, based on political ideology, cronyism and spurious scientific claims. It is a crime for the government to act in this way. The FBI will say that the vast censorship operation was necessary “to protect national security!” Please, it seems like 99% of censored tweets were about a person’s adverse vaccines reaction, anger about vaccine mandates or menstrual problems! Absolutely, almost NO “national security” issues at stake.

Congress recently held a hearing on illegal and politically motivated censorship at twitter. The four twitter censors in chief were subpoenaed and each read opening statements. I wonder if a bigger bunch of sanctimonious, self pitying whiners have testified before Congress before? I doubt it.

Annika Navoroli was Twitter’s attorney for Trust and Safety. Wow was she insufferable! Navoroli droned on about how twitter was drowning in a deluge of hate speech. Virtually anything Twitter censors disagreed with was labelled “hate speech.” Opinions like “I think Fauci is a liar!” would have been labelled “misinformation” or “hate speech,” for example. Along with “hate speech” violence was consuming twitter whole! Navoroli was “asked to do the impossible!” including “preventing World War 3!!” The men and women on the front line in Ukraine did not have it as tough as Ms. Navoroli! Then about ten more predictable comments about “dog whistles” and “blood on our hands!” Oh the drama! Annika!!!! The woman who saved America by shadow banning Dr. Jay Bhattacharya!!

US Disabilities Project Tracks Changes in Disabilities Beginning in 2021

Cause Unknown Kindle Quote IntroWe've have been telling readers about Ed Dowd's book Cause Unknown for months. Dowd is a Founding Partner of Phinance Technologies.  One of their current Humanities Projects is to track and analyze the rates of disability since the rollout of the Covid vaccines in 2021. Below are links to their page with the six part analysis. We have been trying to "convince" the world that vaccines harmed our children for going on thirty years. At one time, we thought that the HPV vaccine would tip the scales of understanding. Surely teen girls and boys collapsing and suffering neurological damage would open eyes. Not so. Now, we have had the Covid mRNA vaccine rollout, pitting workers against companies, family against family, and so on. SIDS has become SADS. And so we wait to see the outcomes.  By the way, follow @DowdEdward on Twitter. His analysis of the current financial problems in the American economy is fantastic. And Happy Ides of March.

We live in a world where regulatory institutions are captured by financial and political interests, either unwilling or unable to get to the truth of the issues they set out to investigate and regulate on behalf of the individuals in society. Without unbiased and comprehensive research, there is a risk of misguided policy decisions at best, and at worst, negligence and malpractice. Never has this been more apparent than during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In this context, we need independent agents to act as gatekeepers of the public interest. We intend to be such agents, and to provide high-quality research to other individuals and institutions who seek similar outcomes.

Motivation

We do this because we believe that by empowering individuals with the most accurate data and analysis, they will be in a better position to make decisions on political and personal issues affecting their wellbeing.

We are inspired by and adhere closely to the Malone doctrine, which can be downloaded here.

US Disabilities Project

Layout of the disability analysis

The analysis of disabilities is split into 5 parts that can be read independently but are related and complement each other. Each section is written in a different web page within which at the top the user can find the links to navigate to the other sections. The 5 parts are:

Part 1 - Overview of the Data.

This part provides the overall description of the data and shows the historical time series of disability rates for different population cohorts and age groups. It allows us to put in perspective the changes in disability rates, that started in 2021.

Part 2 - Rise in disabilities from 2021.

This part provides a detailed examination of the changes in disabilities that occurred from early 2021, which coincided with the vaccine rollouts.

Part 3 - Relationship with Vaccine uptake.

This part analyses the relationship between the rise in disabilities with the Covid-19 vaccine rollout.

Part 4 - Relationship with Excess Deaths.

This part investigates the relationship between excess mortality and the rise in disabilities that ocurred since early 2021. It also provides us with an estimate of how many disabilities occurred for each excess death, during the period.

Part 5 - Relationship with SAEs in mRNA clinical trials

This part investigates the relationship between Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) from the mRNA clinical trials with the rise in disabilities that ocurred since early 2021.

Part 6 - Relationship with Severe AEs in Pfizer vaccine clinical trial

This part investigates the relationship between Adverse Events (AEs) and Severe Adverse Events (Sev AEs) from the Pfizer clinical trial with the rise in disabilities that ocurred since early 2021.

GET TRUMP THE THREAT TO CIVIL LIBERTIES, DUE PROCESS, AND OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RULE OF LAW

Mar 10, 2023, 3:36 PM (3 days ago)

By Alan Dershowitz

In Get Trump: The Threat to Civil Liberties, Due Process, and Our Constitutional Rule of Law, Alan Dershowitz—#1 New York Times bestselling author and one of America’s most respected legal scholars—analyses the unremitting efforts by political opponents of Donald Trump to “get” him—to stop him from running in 2024—at any cost.

Alan Dershowitz has been called “one of the most prominent and consistent defenders of civil liberties in America” by Politico and “the nation’s most peripatetic civil liberties lawyer and one of its most distinguished defenders of individual rights” by Newsweek.

Get Trump makes clear that unconstitutional efforts to stop Trump from retaking the presidency challenge the very foundations of our liberty: due process, right to counsel, and free speech. Those who justify these dangerous departures from the rule of law argue that the threat posed by a second Trump presidency is “different” and “immediate,” while the departures from constitutional norms are longer term and more abstract.

CHD Exclusive: Mother Sues D.C. Doctor Who Gave Kids COVID Vaccines Without Consent

Your_rightsParental consent has always been on our watch list. Recently, as transsexual ideation has swept through schools, the topic has reached a heated level. Even hotter than abortion. The push to allow minors to make healthcare decisions continues, disregarding parental input. But remember the inverse has been true as well. Parents who choose not to approve a medical procedure or product or tretment are quickly judged and can be punished. Perhaps the erosion of parental healthcare rights has been marching in this direction for decades.  As a teen, I thought I was grown up enough to make my own healthcare choices. That's just the teen brain. Smarter than everyone, until about age 25, right?

Exclusive: Mother Sues D.C. Doctor Who Gave Kids COVID Vacines Without Consent

Children’s Health Defense is funding a lawsuit by a D.C. mother alleging a doctor vaccinated two of her children for COVID-19 without her consent after falsely telling the teens the shots were required for school.

By

Brenda Baletti, Ph.D.

The mother of two children who were given COVID-19 vaccines without the mother’s consent is suing the doctor who administered the vaccines.

An attorney representing NaTonya McNeil last week filed a lawsuit in Superior Court for the District of Columbia against Janine A. Rethy, M.D., M.P.H.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 2, 2022, McNeil took her two older children, ages 15 and 17, to the KIDS Mobile Medical Clinic/Ronald McDonald Care Mobile clinic, operated by Georgetown Hospital, to complete their required annual physical exam for the 2022-2023 school year.

The lawsuit alleges Rethy, director of the mobile clinic, held the children in the examination room longer than necessary for a regular check-up and vaccinated them against COVID-19 over their objections and without consulting their mother.

As Time Went By

D5017056-E0F9-40A5-819A-37DF14A9E88BBy Cathy Jameson

In an October 2020 post, I wrote, “As time goes by, we’ll certainly learn more about the coronavirus and any long-term effects it may have.  That’ll hopefully include learning about the quarantine precautions we were asked to take, too.  Evidence already shows that some precautions have had detrimental effects, including an increase in mental health.”

A recent paper, which included results of the fear of contagion and its behavior, focused on a younger population.  Authors of that paper, which was revised in October 2022, shared that, “The main conclusion reached by this manuscript is that, as the existing specific literature has already shown, COVID-19 has had different negative psychological consequences among certain vulnerable groups, including adolescents and young adults. The results presented allow us to verify, within these psychological consequences, how the symptoms of generalized anxiety or major depression disorder are a consequence of the fear of COVID-19.”

It's terribly sad to see reports that people are sadder now than they were before.  From a recent story in The Washington Post, Joel Achenbach asks America shut down in response to covid.  Would we ever do it again? It’s a quick read if you haven’t seen it yet.  The part that resonated the most with me was this:

…the pain of the national shutdown - businesses going under, weddings postponed, protracted isolation of the elderly, learning losses among schoolkids - is glaringly obvious.  Critics of pandemic restrictions contend that the cure was worse than the disease…

Plenty of us here might agree with that – the cure was worse than the disease.  While many could recover from the illness itself, we have no idea what the long-term effects of the restrictions ands lockdowns will have on us and on society, too.

As far as some of the pain that Achenbach mentions, I see the academic struggles in students now three years later.  I hear of the businesses still wrestling with financial losses, and I see professionals dealing with a wave of undertrained or less-than-motivated employees post-lockdown also.  Where I can see a few outcomes that could be considered positive, like having more time to spend with family when places were closed, I still can’t believe that the lockdowns happened.

As time went by, we faced new fears.

In facing those, we learned who we could and who we shouldn’t trust.

In learning that, we still had to manage more unknowns.

Those unknowns caused moments of grief, and for others, instilled more fear.

I’ll never wish for a lockdown again.  On paper, it may have sounded like a good idea.  In reality, the long-term effects are proving more devastating than some ever thought to consider.

An enemy Ibsen Kennedy

An Enemy of the People

In his foreword, Kennedy alerts readers to the undeniable fact that the persecution of those who tell uncomfortable truths, which Ibsen described over one hundred years ago, continues to this day and is as relevant now as ever. We face environmental deregulation and degradation, politicians in lobbyists’ pockets, attacks on facts that are agreed upon by reputable scientists, corporate funded and controlled research, and attempts to impede and suppress whistleblowers. The battle continues and Kennedy joins Ibsen on the front lines.

Lessons in Love and Living

Love pills wallpaperI subscribe to Jennifer Margulis Phd's Vibrant Life Substack newsletter. I've had the pleasure of meeting her. She wrote Your Baby Your Way Taking Charge of Your Pregnancy (which I just gave to a friend who is expecting.) She ran a guest post yesterday, with the recipe for a content life from a 96 year old. I'm not quite 96, but I'm not young any longer.  I'm a late summer single parent caring for 3 autistic adults. Aging as an autism care-parent has no manual. We are some of the first to care for autistic adult children into our own retirement (ha ha ha ha) years.  In the "outside world," the daily news is grim. The state of the nation is gloomy. Social media is rife with arguing and division. Now we're getting into the Presidential political season, which should be a nightmare of disrespectful discourse. I loved this article. It made me feel lighthearted and hopeful. And I'm proud to say, I'm already doing much of what she recommends.

Finally, a prescription we can all take, with the BEST side effects.  Kim

By Terri Crosby

Special to Vibrant Life

We could all learn a thing or two from my mother.

There are plenty of reasons to become discouraged as we age. For me, my eyesight has gotten worse. My neck bones make interesting sounds in yoga class. And my ability to come up with a word I need isn’t as quick as it used to be.

In addition, the longer we live, the more death we witness. So it’s no wonder that the aging process is daunting for most of us.

But not for my mom.

My mother, who’s 96 years old, seems to roll with it. Somehow, she comes to terms with what life hands her. Accepting change is possibly her number one superpower. She makes peace with what is.

Mom was born to Quaker parents on a fruit farm in Barnesville, Ohio. She’s slender, about 5’6”, with glasses, short, curly auburn hair, and plenty of freckles. As a young girl, her face was accidentally splashed with lye while making soap, but luckily the burn marks passed for dark freckles on her already freckled face.

The tradition in her Quaker Meeting was to send children to boarding school, which she did. But my mom never officially graduated. She had trouble with spelling and math.

When I was growing up, she was a full-time homemaker on our farm. She wore mostly housedresses and aprons, and I remember her complaints about being (as she called it) flat-chested. She was quick to laugh, and even quicker to love babies.

Most of her closest friends have died. Both of my brothers also died, at 50 and 65 years old. But, even so, my mom didn’t grow discouraged about life or become chronically lonely or sad. Instead, she came to accept their deaths. And she enjoys the family members who remain, and makes new friends to replace those who have passed on.

She inspires everyone who knows her.

Here are seven of her secrets to living a long, healthy, vibrant life.

The author’s mom laughing with Beth, who is a friend from her Quaker meeting in Iowa (where she moved after she married the author’s father). Beth also loves to quilt. Terri says her mom’s quilting group still meets every Thursday and her mom always calls them from wherever she is to check in.

1. Treat Everyone Like Family

Mom believes in the goodness of people. She is kind to strangers. Kindness is her default.

When shopping, she treats the people who help her as if they are her daughters and sons, no matter their age.

She makes it clear that she loves them and appreciates them. She calls young women “honey” and looks into their eyes to thank them for helping her find what she needs. They melt.

Some of them, I’m sure, wish she was their very own grandma.

2. Approach Each Day with Enthusiasm

At age 96, my mom still approaches each day with enthusiasm. Mom cleans, does laundry, and looks after the dog. She reads large print books, makes quilts, and does needlework. She has a smartphone and calls friends, but she doesn’t text, take photos, or search anything on the internet.

Mom lives with my sister, my sister’s husband, and their adopted son Ramon. All in all, she figures that being surrounded by people to love is a good reason to wake up every morning. For her, being smack dab in the middle of a bustling household helps her look forward to the next moment, the next day, and the next year. She prefers not to take naps during family gatherings because she might miss something!

3. Say Yes Often

Russell Brand on Media

MediaThanks to The Defender from Children's Health Defense for this article on Russell Brand's insight. It seems media has already formed into silos, and that's a big part of the problem we face. No one wants to peek at the other silos. No one believes that the grain over there is as good as the grain in OUR silo. In fact, we think it's rotten. I'd rather see FEWER media channels, but ones that allow independent thought. The pie has been sliced with a razorblade. In the morning, I listen to the POTUS channel on Sirius XM. Mostly for Michael Smerconish, whose theme song is "Stuck in the Middle with You." He allows callers from all walks of life and political POVs, He covers stories from the center out in a radius. It's 2023 and we are more segmented than ever. Do you remember the old CNN show called "CROSSFIRE?" It was fantastic. A Liberal and a Conservative taking on topics. Tucker Carlson was one of the hosts! Is more media the answer?

We Need to Create Our Own Media Channels if We Want the Truth, Russell Brand Says

After lambasting mainstream media for its coverage of COVID-19 news, comedian and political commentator Russell Brand said we need to create “our own channels, our own media, our own communication so that we can reach truth together.”

By

Suzanne Burdick, Ph.D

Mainstream media would have us believe COVID-19 is the only possible explanation for an increase in fatal heart attacks among young people during the pandemic — but that explanation didn’t sit well with comedian and political commentator Russell Brand.

Brand mocked CBS News and the experts it interviewed about a study that showed the number of heart attack deaths during the first two years of the pandemic was 30% higher than predicted for ages 25 to 44.

The CBS report never mentioned the numerous variables that may have contributed to the increase, Brand said.

“They got through the whole report without mentioning lockdowns or vaccines — which it would seem ought to be part of any reasonable debate and exploration into what has caused this 30% spike in heart disease,” Brand told viewers.

Instead, CBS ended its report by telling viewers the increase is “something to go and see your doctor and check yourself about.”

“So that’s the conclusion?!” Brand said.

Fat lionSkyhorse Publishings Arcade imprint publishes acclaimed novelist Bruce WagnerROAR; states Wagner: “My previous novel, The Marvel Universe, was canceled because of the word fat.’  Im as depressed as I am thrilled to share this honor with Roald Dahl.”

Buy ROAR here.

Skyhorse Publishing recognizes that the editing methods of the publishing industry have made headlines this week, as it’s been reported that Roald Dahl’s books have been censored and altered by his publisher. The watchdogs that the publishing industry calls “sensitivity readers” have removed or replaced potentially problematic language from the beloved writer’s work. The word “fat” among many others has now disappeared from the Dahl Universe. The work of acclaimed novelist Bruce Wagner (I'm Losing You, Dead Stars) has also been impacted by this publishing trend.

“My previous novel The Marvel Universe faced similar controversy when sensitivity readers flagged ‘problematic language’—including the word ‘fat,’” Wagner explained. “I ended my contract with my previous book publisher when they explained that more than 80 percent of the book’s pages would need to be blacked out.”

Wagner’s critically acclaimed oeuvre (praised by Salman Rushdie, Sigrid Nunez, Terry Southern, Francine Prose, and Emma Cline) is a dizzying mix of the spiritual and profane. The New York Times said that his novel The Empty Chair “would make a fine fictional companion to the Trappist monk Thomas Merton’s writings on spiritual outrage and the impossibility of solace.”

Wagner—who has been dubbed “Hollywood’s master of satire” by Sam Wasson, one of the great chroniclers of Hollywood lore—insisted he’s never faced censorship with the dozen novels he’d written before, “which probably amounts to over a million words.”

Skyhorse Publishing's Tony Lyons, who released Wagner's latest novel under the storied Arcade imprint in November of 2022 (ROAR: Roger Orr: American Master, The Oral Biography), said, “Skyhorse Publishing takes the strongest possible stance against all forms of censorship.”

Before finding Skyhorse, Wagner had been “courted” by another East Coast publisher, who was “initially enthusiastic” about ROAR, but “ultimately said they could not publish the book because it was ‘problematic.’”

While Wagner said he is “pleased to have found the right home for ROAR, which was published in its entirety,” he also voiced his concern for the future of literature: “Soon the libraries will burn and be replaced by new ones, courtesy of the Great Sensitivity Reader: chatGPT. The current scourge of sensitivity armies will be quaint canaries in the coal mine of the AI Dark Ages."

Bruce Wagner’s ROAR has been called “a delightful fictional oral history” by Publisher’s Weekly, noting that his “steel-trap knowledge of the entertainment world and fantastical imagination keep readers along for the ride.”

ROAR: Roger Orr: American Master, The Oral Biography is a fictional saga told by over forty narrators, and is available in hardcover, ebook, and audiobook.

About Bruce Wagner
Bruce Wagner has written twelve novels and bestsellers, including the famous “Cellphone Trilogy,” I’m Losing You (PEN USA finalist), I’ll Let You Goand Still Holding), Dead Stars, The Empty Chair, and the PEN/Faulkner-finalist Chrysanthemum Palace.  He wrote the screenplay for David Cronenberg’s film Maps to the Stars, for which Julianne Moore won Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014. Right Place

By Cathy Jameson Home heart

A few times now when I'm scheduled to leave the house later than usual, something has happened with Ronan - a fever, a possible seizure (they can happen so fast), or a wonky episode of something worrisome (I don't know yet what to call it).  It happened again one day last week.  Ronan looked confused, held his head, closed his eyes and looked wobbly on his feet.  I was worried, since it – whatever it was, came out of the blue.

While getting him off his feet and to the couch, I sat next to him, ready to administer emergency seizure medication, should it be a seizure.  I was ready to clean up throw up, should it have been an upset tummy rumbling.  But Ronan, who could only grip my arms as I reached out to hold him, laid on the couch and drifted off to sleep.  He ended up taking two naps, even though he’d had a great night of sleep.

The day that happened, I wasn’t scheduled to leave the house until 1:00.

The time before, he was also wobbly on his feet and knew something was different – but couldn’t express anything but a worried look on his face.  Ronan had woken up that day and was fine but then wasn’t.  That day was the first day that my work hours had changed, and I happened to be home.  Both times, I didn't know it, whatever it is, was going to happen, but God knew I needed to be with my bud.  I got to hold his hand, to calm his nerves, to settle him quickly, to watch him quietly fall back asleep to witnessing him wake up refreshed as if nothing worrisome or wonky had just happened.

I’ve spent the last few days trying to figure out what triggered the odd episodes.  We haven’t changed brands of foods he and I have for breakfast.  The supplements taken are the same as always.  Other products found in a home – laundry soap, dish soap, bath soap and more, are all the same.  Granted, we had the huge medication fiasco a few weeks ago, but this happened while on generics and since he’s been back on his regular doses and brands.  I joked with a friend when I knew I’d be home all morning again, “I hope nothing happens to Ronan while I’m home past lunchtime!”  All joking aside, it’s just so odd and definitely something I definitely need to track.

I was thankful I was home both times.  I truly felt like I was at the right place at the right time.

Another time, I was thankful for something that wasn’t supposed to happen.  It was more of a wrong place, right time sort of story (and has nothing to do with the recent events)…

A right place, right time moment usually leads to something positive.  A wrong place, wrong time moment has usually led to a negative outcome.  A few years ago, I had a "wrong place, right time" moment, and I'm glad that I did.

Norway. Flint. E. Palestine
An Enemy of The People with foreword by Robert Kennedy, Jr.

Regarded as one of the foremost playwrights of the nineteenth century, Henrik Ibsen tells the story of the idealist Doctor Thomas Stockmann, the medical officer of a recently opened spa in a small town in southern Norway, who finds that the water is seriously contaminated. He notifies members of the community and initially receives support and thanks for the discovery. Threatened by the possible impact of such a revelation, his brother, the town mayor, conspires with local politicians and the newspaper to suppress the story and pressure Dr. Stockmann to retract his statements.

Robert Kennedy Jr Connects Ibsen's An Enemy of The People to the 20th & 21st Centuries

ED2B2B6F-2606-4AEF-9DA7-A3B0969ABF00 Henrik Ibsen wrote Enemy of the People in 1882. In this new edition from Skyhorse Publishing, Robert Kennedy Jr  lays bare how "science" (including you, Dr. Fauci) has fought so hard against iconoclasts whose work questions their ironclad conclusions. Perhaps science has always been just like the religion it was purported to supplant? The recent train derailment in E. Palestine, Ohio dovetails with Kennedy's foreword perfectly.  In 2010, Mark Blaxill wrote, "From The Roman to the Wakefield Inquisition," about Dr. Wakefield's brutal treatment by the GMC. His crime? Listening to distraught parents of autistic children and using his medical knowledge to make a hypothesis. The concept of the hypothesis has been eradicated in most circles. "A hypothesis is an assumption, an idea that is proposed for the sake of argument so that it can be tested to see if it might be true."

Environmentalist, activist, and attorney Robert F. Kennedy Jr. contributes a foreword to this Skyhorse edition of Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen’s renowned 1882 play.

At a public meeting, an attempt is made to keep Dr. Stockmann from speaking, but he launches into a tirade condemning the corruption of the town and the tyranny of the majority. Finding his speech offensive, he is shouted down by the masses and reviled as "an enemy of the people."

Two Days to Respond to the British Government Digital ID Consultation

FE99D457-EC4D-4E7C-AE18-7542B8688C7CBy John Stone

The British Government Digital ID consultation closes tomorrow March 1 - please don’t miss your final opportunity to comment. In addition to filling out a questionnaire as I did a few days ago and published my answers (see below), it is also possible to send an email comment (this address). I have sent a  further general comment:

This is about data enslavement, not convenience. A philosophically and humanly obnoxious idea in itself, but what happens when it  is used by the global bureaucracy to micro-control people: you can’t go here, you can’t talk about x, must not talk to y, you must forthwith against your will be injected with z, you need a brain implant to monitor you and order you about, you can’t have access to your savings etc. This is not benign or incidental, it is all part of the published plans of the UN, the WEF, the World Bank and the WHO, and the government ought to come clean that they are not working for us but for remote corporate entities hiding behind these supposedly beautiful, august institutions, who want there to be fewer of us and to control those that are left. That these projects exist and the government is signed up to them is neither conspiracy or a theory but a matter of record.

On the Way to Total Globalist Control: My Response to the British Government Digital ID Consultation

British citizens should take every opportunity to respond the British government’s proposals to control them through Digital ID in a consultation which closes on Wednesday March 1. What is most essential is to respond in numbers to this latest attempted power grab, which is of course being ignored by legacy media. In case it may be of help I reproduce the answers I gave to their questionnaire - on occasion repeating paragraphs in answer to only slightly different questions:-

While data sharing could possibly facilitate service or benefits in some circumstances it could equally obstruct them. Governments should not be that deeply involved in citizens’ affairs. Information should not be shared across departments which for instance could be misused for political or personal ends. Moreover, we  already know  how the digitalisation of the banking sector ends up (1) with a much less sensitive service (2) unemployment  (3) cumulative damage to the high street (public service) and (4) fear of important data going missing or being stolen.

Data sharing is a bad idea: data can be misused or stolen for personal/institutional gain or political ends. Without public consultation or regard for sovereignty the government has formed partnerships with global bodies/bureaucracies like the WEF and the WHO. The government also apparently hopes to institute Central Digital Online Banking. None of these global institutions are publicly accountable in any way. The WEF, which has trans-humanist policies such as universal cranial implants (which have never been debated), have also warned of imminent global cyber-attacks. To create such systems which could so easily be attacked with data destroyed and stolen would be crazily imprudent.

Digital ID will never be a safe way of ensuring someone’s actual ID on its own. It must be backed up by traditional forms of ID or it will become an opportunity for limitless abuse. It will lead to services being more impersonal, harder to over-ride in the event of mistakes. Harder to prove real identity, and a more indifferent bureaucracy.

Although a consultation is notionally taking place as usual it is being flown in under the radar. A data grab of this kind ought to be hugely controversial, a threat to individual liberty and an invasion of private space but the government has not promoted duly serious public discussion of it. It is very likely in conflict with existing law.

What is causing this historic spike in deaths among younger people? What is causing the shift from the elderly to younger people?

The Inexorable March to Death

Healthy seedHow long before children with special needs are considered an undue burden on society, and therefore disposable?

Maybe right now.

A local Democrat official in Masachusetts is facing calls to step down after complaining about the cost of special education for children with disabilities who are not aborted.

Age of Autism has been riding up and down the countryside of the internet crying, "The tipping point is coming! The tipping point is coming," to mostly deaf  ears outside of our community. Anne Dachel has written thousands of stories of tens of thousands of kids with all sorts of special needs and their impact on school districts around the globe.  Maybe instead of normalizing autism and calling cure a dirty word, the powers that be should have listened to ALL of us. Of course, we know the truth. It’s not the “SEEDle.” Despite the billions spent on genetics. The current “crop” of disabled as a rule do not have chromosomal differences. They have induced neurological difference that can not be identified in utero.

Look at this story from Massachusetts:

Massachusetts Democrat told to step down after abortion comments leave parents irate

A local Democrat official in Masachusetts is facing calls to step down after complaining about the cost of special education for children with disabilities who are not aborted.

Michael Hugo, the chair of the Framingham Democratic Committee, made the remarks during a city council meeting when discussing a proclamation about access to abortion and crisis pregnancy centers in the city. He said crisis pregnancy centers could misdiagnose a defect in a baby in the womb, leading to them being born and becoming a strain on a school budget. He issued a public apology after 10 days of backlash from members of his own party and parents of special needs children.

"I saw what Michael had said as a personal attack against my own children," said Sheryl Goldstein, the chair of the Framingham Disabilities Commission. "That my children who had special needs were not worth the expense in the school system."  Read  more here if you can stand it.

Through the Struggles

StruggleBy Cathy Jameson

We’ve been hooked on the show, The Chosen since it aired.  If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a series that highlights stories found in the Gospels, stories in particular of the disciples chosen by Jesus.  The first few episodes of Season 1 were a bit slow, but we soon couldn’t wait to see what would happen in the next episode.  When Season 2 became available, we found ourselves running to the den to get a seat on the couch right before the show aired.  Season 3 just debuted a few weeks ago and proved to be the best season yet.  I won’t give too much away, but if you’re familiar with stories from the Gospels, you already know that Jesus was a miracle worker.

It would be obvious that some of those miracles would end up being showcased on The Chosen.  I hadn’t thought to prepare myself for the more recent episodes that featured some of the miracle stories.  Honestly, I didn’t think I needed to.  Those stories are ones I’d read and heard since I was a young child.  Watching them, though, especially this one, wrecked me.

“…to know how to proclaim that you still praise God in spite of this … to show people that you can be patient with your suffering here on Earth …hold on a little longer, and when you discover yourself finding true strength because of your weakness, and when you do great things in my name in spite of this, the impact will last for generations…”

That scene with Little James had me bawling like a baby.

It made an emotional impact on me other and other people as well, including for Joni Eareckson Tada and Nick Vujicic.  Both have unique stories of their own.  Because of their very unique stories, both individuals have positively impacted many other people’s lives.  And each has expressed that they, too, were moved by the Little James scene.

Louis Conte’s The Truth be Told: Exploring corruption, controversy, and deception in today’s world from the perspective of a forensic psychophysiologist (Polygraph Examiner).

Louis Conte is a professional Polygraph Examiner, investigator, and writer. In addition to the thousands of offenders he interviewed over his thirty-three years in law enforcement, Conte has conducted over fourteen hundred polygraph examinations. He uses well-honed observation skills to ferret out the truth. Observation and careful attention to words and behavior often reveal the truth.

Dr. Albert Bourla, the CEO of Pfizer is regarded as the strong, relentless leader who pushed his staff to develop and produce the Covid vaccine, Comirnaty, in partnership with a German company, BioNTech. Bourla has made Pfizer’s mRNA Covid vaccine the most profitable vaccine in history. Pfizer’s revenues doubled in 2021.

Bourla is a veterinarian and, according to Wikipedia, his doctoral thesis (1991) is titled "Effect of melatonin implants on sperm characteristics and on the freeze-ability of Karagouniki Ram semen." Bourla is also a noteworthy figure in the pork industry for his work on a pharmaceutical product which eradicated “Boar Taint.” This is the offensive odor or taste produced during the cooking of pork products derived from non-castrated male pigs once they reach puberty. In other words, Albert Bourla made pigs smell and taste better.

Under Bourla’s leadership, a vaccine that should have taken ten years to bring to market was ready in just eight months. The man who began his career doing pharmaceutical research on goats and pigs is portrayed as the brilliant CEO who made the impossible, possible. The old Scottish idiom - When pigs fly - comes to mind. When Bourla claimed his vaccine’s effectiveness was 96% in November of 2020, the pigs actually flew.

Many industry experts raised concerns about a vaccine that was brought to market in just eight months. Bourla insisted no safety corners were cut. He even found time to write a New York Times Bestseller about the project - Moonshot: Inside Pfizer's Nine-Month Race to Make the Impossible Possible.

No Evidence Sure Sounds Familiar

No evidence of harm covidI've been watching the news about the Norfolk Southern train derailment in E. Palestine, Ohio. Folks in Connecticut reported a white film on their cars, and chemical smell in the air. Canadians have posted photos of melting snow that leaves a petrol rainbow on the ground. People who locked themselves in their homes for several months, refused visitors, kept their kids home from school, and wore masks have been LAUGHING at those wondering if the air and water is safe. After all, the experts who told us there was a plague on all of our houses, have said the air and water is safe.

Over the weekend, I heard an expert say "there's no evidence of problems with the water" and I snorted out loud.  And this article about the air:

EPA reports ‘no evidence’ of unsafe air, water in Beaver County as residents remain cautious

No evidence is code for "we haven't looked, and if we have looked we aren't telling you we looked and didn't like what we found." Weasel words and phrases are the stock in trade for liars, cookie jar raiders, politicians, greedy corporate legal departments and other scoundrels. "No evidence" NEVER means there is NO danger. It simply means that experts haven't seen or looked at the data that clearly says there is harm. Or it's simply too soon to know. There was a book written more than 15 years ago called "Evidence of Harm" by David Kirby that summed up the disaster that was and is the pediatric vaccine schedule. No one had bothered to count the micrograms of mercury in the pediatric schedule, even as doses were added like SaltBae seasons his soup. Take a look at the graphic about the Covid vaccine and pregnant women. Of course there was no evidence of harm - no time had passed. No babies had been born or perished. By not looking, officials can tell citizens not to worry with a straight face. And a crooked heart.

Bomb Train’ in Ohio Sickens Residents After Railroad Cutbacks, Corporate Greed Led to Toxic Disaster

Fears of a wider health and environmental disaster are growing, after a 150-car freight train operated by Norfolk Southern derailed and a so-called controlled burn released toxic chemicals last week in East Palestine, Ohio.

Fears of a wider health and environmental disaster are growing, after a 150-car freight train operated by Norfolk Southern derailed and a so-called controlled burn released toxic chemicals last week in East Palestine, Ohio.

Residents reported seeing a fireball and mushroom cloud of smoke fill the skyline. Data released by the Environmental Protection Agency shows the train contained more toxic and carcinogenic chemicals than initially reported, including phosgene, a poisonous gas that has been used as a chemical weapon in war.

Officials lifted an evacuation order for residents last Wednesday, saying the air and water were safe, but residents have reported sore throats, burning eyes and respiratory problems, and wildlife has been found dead.

Meanwhile, scrutiny has turned onto Norfolk Southern, which in recent years has challenged regulatory laws aimed at making the rail industry safer and made mass cuts to railroad staffing while spending billions on stock buybacks and executive compensation.

We get an update from Emily Wright, community organizer based near the site of the derailment; Ross Grooters, a locomotive engineer and co-chair of Railroad Workers United; and Julia Rock, an investigative reporter with The Lever.  READ MORE and WATCH VIDEO at THE DEFENDER.

On the Way to Total Globalist Control: My Response to the British Government Digital ID Consultation

0D35C19C-AF9E-454A-B658-887C0FBDCCFABy John Stone

British citizens should take every opportunity to respond the British government’s proposals to control them through Digital ID in a consultation which closes on Tuesday March 1.

In Times of Trouble and In Times of Peace

6AD970F7-F4EE-4794-9DF9-8AC19257A74EBy Cathy Jameson

The good news is that the medication we were so desperately waiting for finally arrived.  The even better news is that Ronan fared better than I expected as the long weeks of waiting dragged out.  During that time, I dreaded making additional calls to the specialty pharmacist.  I hesitated to send more emails to the nurses while waiting for updates on the medication delay.  It was important that I reached out, even though the news remained completely gloomy from mid-December to early February.

It was the first time in a very long time that I was not feeling my usual hopefully ever after self.

As the expected date of availability approached, I reread my notes.  Since the beginning of the ordeal, Ronan’s script had been changed and sent to multiple pharmacies.  We did that thinking that someone, anyone at one point, would have the name brand meds on hand.  From our community to each corner of the United States we were told no, the name brand supply was gone.  While trying to go the traditional route to fill the prescription, others thought outside the box for me.  People offered to go out of country and find the pills elsewhere.  Others, while traveling overseas on other continents, thought to do the same.  I’ve shared already how floored I was that friends and complete strangers leapt at the chance to help my son.

I’m beyond grateful still that they thought to do that.

Since the medication arrived on February 9th, a few days earlier than originally expected, a friend shared that she’d gone to Lourdes.  She specifically prayed for us and for the very special intention we asked others to pray – that Ronan’s medication get to him without any further delays.  She included another intention we were praying at the same time – that we find a suitable replacement for our caregiver who’s moving onto a new job.  I wasn’t aware that this friend had traveled to Lourdes, a pilgrimage site in France, but the time that she was there coincides when the medication issue was resolved.  It also corresponds to when we met and offered the caregiver position to an ideal candidate who came with the highest of recommendations.

Switch my feelings of being floored to experiencing indescribable joy.

Not Naughty. Not Oppositional.

E1FE2FC8-93EF-446B-8783-5033A135C7BEEvery teacher, every therapist, every day program provider, every residential staffer, every churchgoer, every family member, every coach, every stranger in a restaurant, every everyone needs to memorize this meme. Behavior is communication. The lazy punish it. How many children are slapped with the ODD label: Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Poppycock.

Having language doesn't mean there aren't communication issues. Being able to say words isn't the same as being able to pinpoint pain or emotions and tell someone.

Most of us are expert translators. We can decode body language, sounds, even a look can tell us what's coming.

We can not be with our kids every moment of every day.

One newer modality is Spelling. Some folks use HALO's RPM. Others use Spelling to Communicate. Both involve a letter board and have opened up communication. You can check out Underestimated: An Autism Miracle by JB Handley to learn more about S2C. But as wonderful as letterboard spelling is, it's not a panacea.  It's akin to sign language. Not everyone knows it, or is willing to participate.

Beneath every behavior there is a feeling. Words to remember.  See you Sunday.

In Vino Veritas

I’ve been asked to weigh in on a recently released video from Project Veritas in which a Pfizer Company administrator named Jordan Trishton Walker discloses alarming information. Dr. Walker lost control of himself after being confronted about research he reported to be underway at Pfizer. Walker then says he was lying. Was he?

The questions I’ve been asked are:

1. “Is Walker really employed by Pfizer?”

2. “Is the video in which Walker makes the disclosures real?”

3. “Could someone who is smart enough to be a scientist stupidly reveal damaging information?”

4. “Is Walker being truthful when he says Pfizer is conducting research on coronaviruses that involves Directed Evolution (a form of Gain of Function research) on monkeys to mutate the viruses for future vaccines?”

5. Was Walker’s only lie his claim that he was lying?

Answers:

1) Yes, 2) Yes, 3) Yes, 4) Yes, and 5) Yes.

1. Jordan Trishton Walker has been employed by Pfizer as the Director of Research & Development – Strategic Operations and mRNA Scientific Planning at Pfizer, New York. Sources have confirmed his employment, which was reported by Tucker Carlson on Fox News. Walker is supervised by another administrator who reports directly to Pfizer CEO, Dr. Albert Bourla.

2. A private investigator who is a trusted colleague of mine analyzed the video and affirmed that it was real. Mr. Walker was unaware that he was being recorded by a device that placed on the table.

I believe that the recordings are real, and Mr. Walker was a Pfizer employee (at the time of the video). According to his job title, he would have inside knowledge regarding Pfizer’s vaccine development.

The video “disappeared” from most social media within twenty-four hours of its release – a sign of its veracity. However, the video was viewed more than fifteen million times.

3. Smart people can and do make inexplicably bad decisions. In this instance, Walker disclosed important information in order to impress a date. His nonverbal behaviors (body language) signal sexual interest in the person conversing with him. His smile appears coy, and his constant eye contact are indicators of his interest. His eyebrows move up and down as he nods denoting that he finds the attention of the other person to be stimulating.

Walker has inside information that seemingly makes him feel special, powerful and, sexy. He uses his insider knowledge like a peacock fanning his feathers, hoping to impress a prospective mate. Many people do find people presenting themselves in this manner to be alluring and attractive. At one point Walker reaches out and touches the person and says, “You got to promise you won’t tell anybody, okay?” Initiating a quick touch while smiling and nodding is a clear sign of sexual interest, as is the sharing of secrets.  Read more and subscribe HERE.

True Love

Few understand true love like we do. Happy Valentine’s Day. We’ve been accused on NOT loving our children, because we don’t accept them as they are. Even those close to us rarely know the ocean deep commitment, bone deep exhaustion of working 24/7/365 to provide everything - that’s the best word, right? Everything our kids need. We do it through their childhood and then we have to create it out of whole cloth for adulthood. Because we love our children. A love few can understand, let alone handle.

Happy Valentine’s Day. We see you. We are proud of you. We are you. Love, Kim

The Defender - ‘Tragic’: CDC Adds Original COVID mRNA Vaccine to Childhood Schedule Despite Known Harms

Locked out of schoolChildren's Health Defense explains impact of the CDC Decision to add the Covid vaccine series to the pediatric schedule. Mandates mean that parents will be faced with decisions so many in the autism vaccine injury community have faced for decades.  Comply with the ever expanding schedule, or face dire consequences, including expulsion from public and private school. Reading, "Riting and 'Rithmatic" are a sacred American right.  Parents who ignored our protests in front of Capitol after Capitol, who called us "anti-vaxxers," and who paid no mind to our plight will now face the same brick wall. Vaccinate or lose your children's rights to participate in day care, school, camps, college and more. Pro choice has been decimated. And that's going to be a tough lesson to learn when state after state adds the Covid vaccine as the price of admission to the schools your taxes pay for.

‘Tragic’: CDC Adds Original COVID mRNA Vaccine to Childhood Schedule Despite Known Harms

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday added the two-shot primary series mRNA COVID-19 vaccine to its routine immunization schedule for children and adults, formalizing the agency’s vaccine advisory committee’s unanimous recommendation made in October 2022.

By

Brenda Baletti, Ph.D.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Thursday added COVID-19 vaccination to its routine immunization schedule for children and adults.

Although the CDC does not have the authority to set requirements itself, the agency’s immunization schedule provides formal guidance for state and local public health officials who set the rules for which vaccines are required to attend school.

The schedule also is the basis for vaccine recommendations made by most physicians.

“Given all that we have learned about the dangers and ineffectiveness of COVID-19 shots over the last two years, it is horrifying to see the CDC now recommend this as a routine shot to children,” Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense (CHD) president and general counsel told The Defender.

“Although it is unsurprising given the agency capture, it is nonetheless tragic,” she added.

You May Ask Yourself

B47C06F3-F87F-4844-9504-706053AFA077
Well, how did we get here?

CDC has added the Covid series to the pediatric schedule. COVID-19 row: A new row has been added with the columns for age 6 months–18 years highlighted in yellow to indicate the recommended age for COVID-19 vaccination. The overlying text “2- or 3-dose primary series and booster (See Notes)” has also been added.

This does not mean the series is required - yet. It's the foundation for states to add the series to the daycare and school schedules.

Uptake for children was low during Covid. Will parents who did not choose the full series, 2nd or 1st shot acquiesce when faced with the public health and education mob?

New Mamas, New Hope

Retro mom and babyBy Cathy Jameson

At an event the other evening, I met a woman who is pregnant.  Out of about 180 people there, she was the only one pregnant.  I’d seen her before at other events but had yet to find a moment to introduce myself.  That evening, our paths finally crossed.  I’m so glad they did.  She has 2 young children also.  When they are altogether, she, the children, and her husband look like the perfect family.

While our paths finally crossed, we were really only able to quickly introduce ourselves.  Had we had a chance to chat more, I’d have asked how many months along she was.  I’d have asked how she was feeling because I’d only just realized about 3 weeks ago that she was pregnant.  The same time I noticed that, my youngest also noticed.  Smiling, she said, “Mommy!  Another baby!”

Ten more fingers!

Ten more toes!

I agreed that it was exciting to know that their little family was growing.

I’ll hope our paths cross again and that we have more time to chit chat next then.  When I feel the tug to talk to mamas-to-be, past experiences tend to crop up into conversations – both theirs and mine.  When those crop up, I get to share the joys of motherhood.  Inevitably, and especially when the Holy Spirit is involved, I get to talk about Ronan.  Before I even realized she was pregnant, I had hoped we’d become friends.  With a new child coming into this very busy world, I’d love nothing more than to share that moms have options.  I’d share that some babies don’t need everything medical practices offer.  I’d ask that she read, read, and read some more.  Thinking of those things reminded me of an old post I’d shared a few years ago.

While anticipating the birth of my first child, someone told me that new moms shouldn't worry while pregnant.  It isn’t healthy for the pregnancy or for the baby.  As long as the baby has ten little fingers and ten little toes, that's all a new Mom should worry about.

…ten little fingers

ten little toes

a new one to love

with a small button nose

skin that’s soft, pink and new

love so strong

from me to you…

Ten little fingers, ten little toes.  It sounds so simple, so pure and so peaceful.  As a first-time mother, that’s all I thought to hope for.

While it was originally written as a Mother’s Day reflection, the post crossed my mind right after the young woman and I finally got to meet.  Here it is again in case you want to share it with another mama-to-be in your life.  I’ll pray that all the new moms and dads have a plan to keep their babies healthy, safe, and surrounded by nothing but love.

CHD TV: Maureen McDonnell, Amy Gordon and Dr. Liz Mumper Cover the History of Vaccine Risk Awareness

Maureen CHD TVDan Olmsted isn't the only Dan we miss. Many AofAers met at Defeat Autism Now! conferences, aka DAN! We learned about real treatment for our kids. There was an extensive list of doctors who respected and understood our children's issues, and their causes. Maureen McDonnell was a DAN! pioneer for autism and vaccine injury support, guidance, care. She has a monthly program on CHD TV, and this week's episode is like opening a time capsule. Maureen is the founder of a newer organization called MAMM – Millions Against Medical Mandates- and I'm proud to have been part of the launch.

For decades, we have fought for the right to say "NO" to any of the vaccines on the pediatric schedule. Some of us wanted zero. Others wanted to slow down the schedule. We warned that CHOICE was in jeopardy. We were ignored and worse. After all, it was just babies and kids and the schedule had been around a long time, so it must be safe.  Little by little, parents were robbed of their right to say NO. And then came Covid, and all of the nation learned what we already knew. Forced medicine is horrible.

Follow this link, Feb 8, 2023 Share Vaccine Risk Awareness — The History  I can't embed the episode here.

Maureen McDonnell, Amy Gordon and Dr. Liz Mumper cover the history of vaccine risk awareness, today, on ‘Good Morning CHD.’ They look through the developments in research, education and outreach in this field. For an empowering episode, be sure to tune in to CHD.TV!box

Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo, author of Transcend Fear: A Blueprint for Mindful Leadership in Public Health, calls out FDA corruption concerning mRNA COVID-19 vaccines and indifference to the health of Americans

Transcend FearFlorida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo, author of Transcend Fear: A Blueprint for Mindful Leadership in Public Health, calls out FDA corruption concerning mRNA COVID-19 vaccines and indifference to the health of Americans

“It’s heartbreaking how much corruption there is right now at the FDA as far as mRNA COVID-19 vaccines go. Pfizer was supposed to report data on their subclinical myocarditis study by the end of December 2022, but the FDA extended their deadline by six months. These are data that we should have had more than a year and a half ago. Two studies so far show that rates of injury to the heart are at least 100 times higher than the documented rates of myocarditis. This is a real concern for young people, especially if you're physically active, because this type of heart injury almost certainly increases the risk of cardiac arrhythmia, and possibly, sudden cardiac death. It's truly heartbreaking that the FDA can show so much indifference to the health of Americans.” —Dr. Joseph Ladapo

In Dr. Ladapo’s book Transcend Fear: A Blueprint for Mindful Leadership in Public Health published on August 23, 2022, he describes his views on public health restrictions, early home treatment, and COVID-19 vaccines, along with how Florida officials made public health decisions that set Florida apart from other states—and nations. Based on this experience, Dr. Ladapo explains how states can make better public health decisions in the future—particularly during a crisis.

Joseph Ladapo, MD, PhD is the surgeon general of Florida and professor at University of Florida College of Medicine. He received his MD from Harvard Medical School and a PhD in Health Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Ladapo worked as an associate professor of general internal medicine and a health policy researcher at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. He lives in Tampa, Florida with his wife and children.

Praise for Transcend Fear

"In two years of interviewing public health officials, Dr. Joe Ladapo was the most impressive I met, and the most decent. I suspect it won't be long before every American knows his name."
—Tucker Carlson

“This gripping biographical narrative lets the world understand the complex reality that has unfolded in the life of Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo, MD, PhD. He stands as an impressive physical and intellectual force yet has been formed and molded into a respectful, careful, and quietly courageous leader in public health. The narrative quickly brings the reader through the life of Ladapo, his family, and Governor Ron DeSantis as characters working to save Floridians and the nation at large from the catastrophic federal response to the pandemic that has unfolded before our very eyes. Ladapo is a wonderful writer and has taken brave steps in disclosure that many public figures could not bring themselves to do in spoken words or print. This book will stand as an important inflection point for Dr. Ladapo and America’s public health community at a time of continued crisis and upheaval in our country. So, sit back and enjoy this wonderful story about one of America's finest heroes in contemporary history."

Autism May (or May Not) Be Associated with Increased Risk of Diabetes, Dyslipidemia, and Heart Disease

Twenty years ago, moms and dads were clamoring for allopathy to see beyond autism and to address health issues with the entire patient. Now a noisy study seems to indicate three risks.

Currently, 1 in 44 children is diagnosed with autism by the age of 8 years in the United States. That’s up from 1 in 10,000 in the 1970s. People with a diagnosis of autism have long had poorer long-term outcomes regarding their health; in fact, their life expectancies are estimated to be between 12 and 30 years lower than people without the diagnosis.

Researchers from Texas conducted and published a systematic review and a meta-analysis of 34 studies that included 276 173 participants with autism and 7 733 306 participants without autism in search of conditions known to have a morbidity risk.

They found that having a diagnosis of autism is associated with greater risks of developing diabetes overall (RR, 1.57; 95% CI, 1.23-2.01; 20 studies), type 1 diabetes (RR, 1.64; 95% CI, 1.06-2.54; 6 studies), and type 2 diabetes (RR, 2.47; 95% CI, 1.30-4.70; 3 studies). Autism was also associated with increased risks of dyslipidemia (RR, 1.69; 95% CI, 1.20-2.40; 7 studies) and heart disease (RR, 1.46; 95% CI, 1.42-1.50; 3 studies).

People with autism were found to be 46% more likely to have heart disease, 64% more likely to develop type 1 diabetes, and 46% more likely to experience type 2 diabetes. Children with autism were nearly twice as likely to develop diabetes (184%) and high blood pressure (154%).

The study authors reported that they did not find an increased risk of hypertension or stroke, suggesting a different mechanism of disease pathophysiology of heart disease behind the increased risk in autism.

Publish or Perish

4A1FBE9E-1268-492D-BF23-2638ADEF1604“Publish or perish” is a common phrase in academia. Academia is where people with letters after their names write about scenarios and situations about which the average AofAer has 100x more knowledge and experience. Many years ago, I spoke at a marginally competitive college in Massachusetts (who remembers college rank terminology?) The professor who spoke before me touted her years in academia as an autism expert. I added up my daughters ages at the time and tripled her number in my own introduction as my experience. There has been so much fiddling while families struggle. Study upon study that bolster careers. Little of it translational. And everyone else makes money. As in the situation below.

Prolific autism researcher has two dozen papers retracted

by Shaena Montanari  /  2 February 2023

An autism researcher lost two dozen papers to retraction in January, eight years after the publisher was made aware of potentially troubling editorial practices. Elsevier, the publisher, cited undisclosed conflicts of interest, duplicated methodology and a “compromised” peer-review process as reasons for the retractions…

…The papers were published in Research in Developmental Disabilities and Research in Autism Spectrum Disorders between 2013 and 2014 — a period when Johnny Matson, then professor of psychology at Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge and an author on all of the papers, was editor-in-chief of both journals.

….The conflict-of-interest claims stem from the retracted papers using assessment batteries that Matson developed, which are sold by Disability Consultants, LLC, a business registered in the state of Louisiana to Matson’s wife, Deann Matson. This tie was not revealed in any of the 23 papers.

Tis the Season, the Legislative Season That Is

Virginia legislative sessionBy Cathy Jameson

It doesn’t feel like we’ve tiptoed into 2023.  Some days, it feels like we’re barreling through it.  It especially felt like that when I flipped the calendar page from January to February last week.  When I got an action alert from the NVIC last week also, I knew for sure that time was flying by.  The type of email they send this time of year means that legislative season is under way in my state.  Curious about which other states were also in session, I was floored when I looked at the map.

CJ map

Screenshot from NCLS.org

I’ve written about this topic several times but had completely forgot how many states are at work right now.

Quite a few are!

You know what that means?

Across the country, representatives are talking about all sorts of topics that will affect all sorts of people – including you and me.  It also means that vaccine bills are back.  Unless you subscribe to an outlet, like NVIC, that reports on vaccine-related legislative issues, some people may not know this.

Take a look at the most pressing bills NVIC has shared in their advocacy portal.  Two things jumped out at me when I saw the current concerns:  prior session vaccine legislation in Washington, D.C. rolled into 2023’s session with the push for B24-0942. And check out how many bills are were proposed in the commonwealth of Virginia!  The time to speak up there is now.

Most Canadians have never, in their lifetime, experienced this level of tyranny from our governments, our public health, and from our mainstream media.

Those who come from countries with communism, brutal dictatorships, and military controlled governments see what is happening and are terrified.

This pandemic is not about a virus.

The measures that have been imposed for more than three years are not for our safety.

We are being deceived, manipulated and controlled by our own governments.

And for most, this is just too hard to see, much less acknowledge.

This is not a war of guns, and tanks and bombs, but it is no less a war.

While we were waiting for the curve to flatten, Canada was transformed from a democracy to a dictatorship; our parliaments are no longer functioning as representatives of the people.

Canada has transformed from a country where citizens were free to work, travel, worship, assemble, speak freely, and make their own medical choices to a totalitarian state where these rights are now deemed to be privileges bestowed upon the masses at the discretion of the dictators.

Do you see what has happened?

  • Police are now being asked to break their Oath as a Police officer and violate the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
  • Public health officials, nurses, doctors, health care workers are violating their codes of ethics and injecting citizens with and unproven experimental gene therapy without informed consent.
  • Businesses were deemed essential or non-essential at the whim of unelected officials.
  • Our children were subject to measures that if done four years ago would be deemed child abuse.
  • The only treatment offered for the common cold virus was an experimental gene therapy that was imposed through coercion/extortion. This treatment did not prevent infection or transmission and was never designed to do so.
  • Anyone, regardless of level of knowledge or expertise who dared to question the government’s dictates was aggressively ridiculed, censored, delicensed, and marginalized. This is still happening today with the College of Physicians and Surgeons being the hatchet men and women.
  • Hospitals and public health organizations continue to impose vaccine and masking measures even though they are neither medically nor scientifically based.
  • The only numbers that seem to count are vaccine numbers. All other numbers, such as deaths or harms caused by their measures are ignored or deemed irrelevant.
  • The fundamental principle of ‘my body, my choice’ is no longer considered valid when it comes to medical choice. It is only valid with ending a pregnancy.
  • Treatments that have been proven to successfully treat the effects of COVID are denied.

When Will These Violations End?

Disparities in Intellectual Disability in Autism Spectrum Disorder: A call for the immediate need for more resource

Smart cookieBelow is an article from the TACA Moving Forward Autism blog that is critically important. I recall asking every school psychologist, "How can you measure her IQ if she can not respond to the test?" My daughters each “tested” as having intellectual disability. And while that horrifed me, because I KNEW that they are smart and capable, at the end of the day, it's the "credit card" that "buys" services across the country. Departments of Disability Services, once called Departments of Mental Retardation, were created to service those with IQ under 70.  People with autism are denied services and put on waiver wait lists in droves if their IQ is over 70. On paper. But do our kids really have IQs under 70? Or, have states caught on to the crushing expenses coming because of autism, therefore they need a way to deny services? I think the SPELLING REVOLUTION is going to make a difference in getting honest data. Maybe some savvy psychometry student will create an IQ test that uses spelling to convey answers. And discounts motor planning skills.  Thanks to TACA for this information. Do bookmark their blog.

Disparities in Intellectual Disability in Autism Spectrum Disorder: A call for the immediate need for more resource

Richard E Frye, MD, PhD
Autism Discovery and Treatment Foundation, Phoenix AZ
Rossignol Medical Center, Phoenix AZ

A new publication in the journal Pediatrics examined the change in rates of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), particularly with respect to those with intellectual disability (Shenouda et al., 2023). This study was performed by examining data collected as part of the CDC – Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Network in four counties in New Jersey which represented a diverse population in the New York-New Jersey Metropolitan Area over a six-year period from 2000 to 2016. Not surprisingly, the overall ASD rates increased but particularly interesting was that fact that there was an overall increase in the proportion of children with ASD who did not have intellectual disability. However, there was a greater proportion of children with ASD without intellectual disabilities in more affluent areas while there was a relatively greater portion of children with ASD who also had intellectual disability in underserved areas with low socioeconomic status. The authors believe that this disparity was due to the underdiagnosis of children without intellectual disability in underserved areas due to lack of early diagnosis and treatment. Of course, this is an important reminder of the health disparities that affect the effective care of children.

One of the limitations in this and other research examining intellectual disability is ASD is the ability to measure intellect. I have many parents with children in my practice that tell me how smart their children are despite having an evaluation that suggest intellectual disability. There are many reasons for this. It is well known that intelligence quotient (IQ) tests have a high language load, meaning that having language problems will underestimate intelligence. Indeed, older studies suggests that a standard IQ test would categorize 20% more children with ASD as low functioning (Dawson et al., 2007) or underestimate IQ by 21 points (Grondhuis and Mulick, 2013) and more recent studies have supported this notion (Al-Mamari et al., 2021; Giofrè et al., 2019). Furthermore, the reduced ability to communicate non-verbally with gestures, the limited ability to pay attention and behavioral dysregulation can all interfere with intelligence testing, thus underestimating intelligence. Interestingly, a recent functional MRI studies looking at brain pathways with children with ASD found that many children with ASD had the required language and cognitive pathways intact in the brain, but for some reasons they weren’t utilize these brain pathways, leaving them in a “locked-in” state (Pines et al., 2021). Perhaps there is someway to unlock this cognitive potential.
