Secretary of HHS Says Autism Epidemic Is Real
A wave of grief, relief and sadness washed over me during this press conference. Not joy or "We told you so!" The loss of birth life is staggering. The shunting onto an unknown path into a forest we parents have had to hack away with little more than butter knives has been traumatic. Yet? This is what many Americans voted for in November. Some with confidence. Some waving flags. Others holding their noses. A declaration that honors our families, and a promise to stop the epidemic. Now we push to make sure vaccinations are the crux of the environmental equation.

Well Kennedy never mentioned vaccine, but let me tell you that on the news all the talking head doctors that are experts -- well cancer doctors, or what ever; not autism doctors or neurologists so far are all clambering that it is not the vaccines.
We have to laugh at the irony.
They know, the guilty dogs and that is why they are yelling about the one environmental factor that RFkennedy Jr left out.

Laura, I am disheartened to hear that about Zahorodny.
I would like to see a study of autism rates relation to medical practice compensation for vaccinated percentages.
I would like to see acknowledgement of vaccine injury by immediate end to mandates and "standing orders". Coercion is not compatible with having a Vaccine Injury Court.

I have no expectations, so if something positive develops from whatever autism etiology investigation occurs, I will be quite pleasantly surprised. So many movements, and causes, have been hijacked in terrible ways by bad actors with bad intentions. The autism neurodiverse community is only divided, in my opinion, because some young adults, some of whom are now full-fledged adults,, with high functioning autism have been hijacked (from within and/or without) to believe that all people with autism are somehow the same, with the same thoughts and same abilities, when we parents of kids/young adults with autism know otherwise, because we know other parents with offspring who have either more or less impairment than our own kids. Some afflicted kids can attend college and learn to drive a car, whereas other affected kids cannot toilet themselves, speak, or keep from striking themselves or their loving parents.
When you come to accept the terrible truth that a product that is claimed to be "safe and effective" is anything but, you can understand that there are many different levels of vaccine-induced brain damage (VIBD), and also that many different parts of the brain can be affected, making autism, aka VIBD, quite variable, from minimal to major. Even death can result from severe brain damage caused by this product line. When you understand that other toxins in the environment can also induce brain damage, there can truly be other, additional, perhaps even synergistic, toxic overload causes for what is called "autism". It is not helpful to us when those afflicted cannot understand that they are at risk of even greater harm by not considering or accepting that what caused their brain injury in the first place is not any kind of gift, no matter what amazing skills they have been able to amass due to a lot of hard work that was able, in their particular, most fortunate cases, to pay off greatly for them. I am praying for all of us and for our children, whom we love beyond measure, and have worked so hard and so relentlessly to heal to the maximum extent possible, to the best of our abilities.

All the comments on social media about what RFK Jr said are so upsetting. All these people claiming autism is so great, what is wrong with these people? Even these people with young severely affected kids, I doubt they are going to have the energy (or unshattered hearts) to be so upbeat in 10 or 20 years. Or the people that claim to have autism that don’t have a symptom in common with the autism I see everyday, what is the deal with them? If the spectrum is that big it is meaningless! April is always bad but this one is terrible.

Dr. Zahorodny is not one to be lauded. His presence at the press conference with Kennedy suggests that vaccines will be found not guilty with regard to causing the autism epidemic. Excerpt from Anne Dachel’s article on 4-15-19:
“Back in April, 2012, Zahorodny was featured on the Brian Lehrer Show on WNYC radio.
During the interview, the host brought up research on the possible causes for autism and he made this comment: "I guess we know what they aren't, for instance, childhood vaccines, right?"
This was Zahorodny's stunning response: "Vaccines don't play a significant role in autism increasing. Some small number of children probably do have autism because of an adverse vaccine reaction, but they don't make for the overall rise. Similarly, thimerosal, the additive in vaccines which was almost entirely out of the picture by 2000, which was when our children in the '08 study were born. So these kids, which would have seen declining autism prevalence if thimerosal was an important risk factor, not increasing prevalence. So I rule those two things out. There are other factors that would be more likely at play-demographical factors related to parents' age and other factors linked to that."”
Why am I not surprised that this is exactly who spoke with Kennedy at yesterday’s press conference.

I get your frustration Laura . I worked newborn Nursery and NICU for 36 yrs .I always shared my story when I was 15 having my 1st baby almost 50 yrs ago , her reaction to the only shot she received at 6 wks . No lasting side effects . I went down the rabbit hole then. I loved to tell the Docs I figured it out at 15 not sure why you can’t now .
I’m hoping Kennedy is coming through the back door quietly but efficiently and will address the ingredients in Vaccines . Drs have been brainwashed on vaccines. I worked with them for 36 yrs . I retired last year , ohhh how I wish I could again look at those Drs and say “ I figured it out at 15 ! Thanks for your continued effort to get to the bottom of this holucost leashed upon our children over the years .

Laura, it's clear that even if he didn't mention vaccines specifically, HSS will investigate all of the possible environmental causes of autism. He probably avoided the V-word for tactical reasons, to avoid handing his enemies a stick to beat him with.
Interestingly, the New York Times report on the press conference was highly critical of RFK (so much for objectivity) and quoted several "experts" whop insisted that the rise in autism is only due to "better diagnosis". But the article included a photo of Dr. Walter Zarahodny of Rutgers on the podium with RFK. And as readers of AoA should know, Dr. Zarahodny has produced concrete evidence that the apparent increase in autism is all too real. But that evidence was never cited in the NYT article, which never even mentioned Dr. Zarahodny. Very odd indeed.

Where is HHS Secretary Kennedy’s moratorium on vaccines?
Not uttering the main culprit causing the autism epidemic is like not uttering the word thalidomide in a press conference about babies in the 50s and 60s being born with deformed and missing limbs and ears after the mothers took thalidomide while pregnant. Many also died in the womb from thalidomide, just as babies die in the womb today from the vaccines pregnant women are given.
Not issuing an immediate moratorium on the main driver of the autism epidemic while acting like you are concerned about stopping it undermines one’s credibility and integrity.
Ignoring that we have the evidence, in spades, that vaccines cause autism, both in scores of studies and in millions of eyewitness parental reports, is reprehensible. What if people had agreed to wait for 35 years to admit that thalidomide was causing severe deformities, deafness, tragic birth defects, and miscarriages? Somehow, people can see the wrongness of that, but not of continually waiting to admit what vaccines are doing to children.
Defending this constant sweeping of vaccines under the rug, and those who do the sweeping, defies comprehension if one truly cares about stopping the harming and killing of babies in the womb, newborns, infants, toddlers, children, and teens that is happening every single day, without pause, via vaccinations.
I have been working to stop this Vaccine Devastation and resultant Autism Epidemic for nearly 30 years now…30 YEARS…that is nearly 11,000 days! I have heard time and again that it is “not quite the right time” to speak the unadulterated truth about what happened to our children after their vaccinations, which continues to happen to other children every single day…life-altering, life-destroying, life-ending things! Wrong! The right time has come and gone for decades now, going back to before the terrible 1986 Act, and as that right time has been continually postponed and awaited, millions more children have been vaccinated into the devastating, independence-stripping world of autism.
Every single time the word vaccines is omitted from the conversation concerning the Autism Epidemic is egregious, inexcusable, and unacceptable.
To hear Kennedy state air, water, food additives, mold, obese parents, old parents, diabetic parents, medicines, and ultrasounds as potential culprits in the autism epidemic, but not vaccines by name, was infuriating.
If we the parents of the vaccine-injured and vaccine-killed are willing to accept vaccines being omitted from major press conferences about the Autism Epidemic, then we, too, are complicit in the cover up.
