That Time in 2008 We Asked if RFK, Jr Should Head Up EPA
Good morning. We all woke up, yes? I wasn't sure what to post today, obviously not knowing the outcome of last night's election. But? As of 3:00am in my quiet house, Trump appears to have won. It's a miracle. And by that, I mean the quiet house. Ha ha. I took a look back at the first Presidential election we covered, back in 2008. Barack Obama defeated John McCain. Palin, whose son Trig has Down Syndrome, gave attention to special needs. In 2024, Guz Walz has NVLD, and for a brief moment, was featured in the Harris campaign.
It seems like we've had an uphill battle for all these years, as Obama bent his ear to the budding neurodiversity community. And he certainly did not appoint RFK, Jr to head up the EPA as JB Handley suggested. Autism was in the news, but often, not "our kind of autism." In 2020, autism was all but erased from the public eye unless as a set of social differences, as trans became the darling of the Biden administration. There's a pattern here. Both groups protect and use pharma, and to our mind, actively work against the success our loved ones need.
So here's our post right after the 2008 election. We had such hopes. And now in 2024, Robert is front and center again. Hope. Sometimes its all we have.

I didn't weep last night when Barack Obama was elected President, although I voted for him and was certainly thrilled to see him elected for so many reasons.
Truth be told, I was very frustrated by Obama's positions on autism relative to John McCain, and I simply heard many more things and saw a lot more action out of McCain when it came to our kids.
But, I was struck by the decency, intelligence, and compassion of Obama, and I believe he already knows or will soon understand the breadth of what is going on with our kids.
Like I said, I didn't weep when Obama won last night, but I just wept for a rumor now floating around in the blogosphere: Obama is considering RFK Jr. to run the Environmental Protection Agency.
God Bless America. And, let's pray it's true.

Depression ready: Trumpville
Trump's action plans are becoming very real. He is going after them all. From Act Blue and the drug cartels, to the homeless, drug addicts and mentally infirm. He is cleaning up the city sidewalks by building homeless tent cities staffed with medical professionals to help them get back on their feet. In my opinion, he is staying ahead of the new waves of financial homeless created by the looming hyperinflation/depression. "Hoovervilles" popped up during the last one. Musk has a new gig in affordable housing. He has recently introduced a $4000-$10,000 portable modular home that unfolds on site. Actually pretty cool looking. Tough times call for tough choices. He wants to fund this with money we DON'T send to Ukraine. If properly managed, this could help many people. Unfortunately, he did not mention a specific pathway of help for adults with autism. Will they be left to mental health institutions?

McConnell at first pretended that he didn't hear the question. The reporter asked two more times if he would approve a cabinet level position for Musk and RFK Jr. McConnell made a face and quickly said he wouldn't comment on that topic and then took another unrelated question. He is supposed to be stepping down from Senate minority leader after the new year. Trump may have to wait until after that to get him a cabinet level appointment. RFK Jr. may only be able to get an advisory level position. I think the vaccines are a bigger issue for the Globalists to protect than keeping an open border. They will put up a fight.

Dear Age of Autism readers-I have just read a very frightening article published today that claims Trump and his supporters are now undecided if they will in fact give Kennedy a high cabinet position in the HHH or any other high level position. I hope this is a false report and that we can still have Kennedy with a position to prioritize the autism epidemic and have hope for our children/adults. Please let this not be a true report!

I am also hoping that Trump will give Kennedy a high position as head of HHH and bring the autism epidemic to national attention as the tragedy that is really is. We have waited long enough for this and the chance for biopharmaceuticals, university and hospital research, and trials for the miracle medications that will CURE our damaged children/adults. HOPE!
