"Hi, Isabella, let's make a plan to get the Hep vaccine," says CVS in a text to my 23 year old daughter with autism. No rationale as to if or why she needs a Hep B vaccine. Not even, "Stop in to talk to a pharmacist about your habit of injecting heroin and having wild sex with several men, women and possibly farm animals on a regular basis." I wonder why?

Alas, Isabella was unable to respond to CVS as she was attending a rally at the Capitol in Hartford to ask legislators for more fund for non-profits who serve the disabled.
I agree excessive vaccine can be useless but people have gotten Hepatitis viruses from a dozen ways including from their mother's at child birth. I understand as a disabled person why the day programs for the severely mental retarded programs have staff retention problems.
Fat, Ugly, Tall, Morons! Those that commit loud moaning noises, physical injury on staff members, sexual assault on staff members as well. I would not want to deal with those kinds of people either. if you want to work with disabled person then blind, deaf and orthopedic problems are a better bet even if those people also have a mild intellectual disability

They are shameless. I was at CVS this morning. Heard pharmacist ask a man if he was interested in a shingles vaccine. He said not at this time. So pharmacist asks “what about an RSV vaccine?” The man declined that as well.

Disgraceful they never miss a chance to rub it into us all,just incase we forget,for a nano second just how disabled our kids are and dont live a normal life despite our efforts.

Kim-outrageous that CVS sent a text to your daughter Isabella, telling her she needs the Hep B vaccine due to the fact that she may be having wild sex with several infected men and using contaminated heroin needles! My friend who has a daughter about the same age, but does not have autism, also got the same text and she texted back to never contact her about this vaccine again. She did the same thing when she got the Gardasil vaccine text a few years ago.
We are also having problems with funding for increases for pay raises for direct support staff here in New York and the Governor just signed a bill that gives the hard working staff a small increase after years of no increases at all. The director of my son's adult program sent out a letter that because our program is so small he doesn't know how he will be able to continue running the program. The turnover rate among DSP is huge and one of my friends told me that she spoke to a staff member who said that DSP work is dying because it doesn't pay enough and people are leaving the field for less demanding jobs that pay a higher living wage. All the staff have two jobs just to afford the high cost of living here. What are the families like ours supposed to do in the face of this tragedy?
