I have relatives who have worked for the public school system. They make bank- especially their retirement pensions. Your mother could donate 10% of her salary and give it to you to distribute amongst the poor children.

Have you ever been to Haiti? I have. Do you know its history? It was once a French sugar cane plantation colony. All of the Africans on the island now are descendants of the enslaved plantation workers. They had the only successful slave revolt, causing the French plantation owners to flee- some came to South Carolina.

The new African rulers named their country Haiti, and took over the French plantations and government buildings. Unfortunately, self-rule for them has not gone well over the years. They were cut off from an economic trade engine. The ousted Europeans wouldn't trade with them. Many returned to their African farming ways. Unfortunately, the tiny half island could not support the growing population, especially with little trade. As they became more desperate for food and clean water, later generations allowed the English/American foreigners to come back and set up sugar cane commercial operations where the African Haitians work as essentially poor sharecroppers. The city is dismal- covered with a cloud of charcoal dust from outdoor cooking. They have stripped their forests bare, using the wood for fuel. The average lifespan is 30 years. Do you like sugar coated cold cereal? This is where the cereal manufacturers get their cheap labor for for their cheap sugar. The workers live in huts and drink water from open irrigation ditches. The medical missionaries I visited there with said that they should have brought a vet with them, such were the kinds of diseases/ailments they had. This was at the beginning of Fauci's AIDS epidemic. It showed up first in Haitians and NYC 's gay population around the time they were testing the new Hep B vaccine.

Even if there wasn't any "wokeism" in schools (and I was in the school system from years late 2011-2016 - nine to fourteen and never again... there was no "wokeism" back then in those days, but still a horrible place to send children to), schools are still VERY awful places for autistics anyways. And children in general, ASD or not.

Even though there's no "wokeism" at my mom's charter school, it's a school with a 100% poverty rate. All the children there are poor, their parents cannot homeschool them, the healthiest meals they eat are in the cafeteria - at home, they eat whatever their poor parents can afford. Even worse, all the students must endure traumatic "school shooting drills" with bullet noises and crowd panic. Florida is about to have an influx of Haitian refugees from Haiti's collapse (see Patrick Humphrey/Full Spectrum Survival on YouTube, talk to them about ASDs/autism too and adult autism services especially, if you can), now it's a crime to sleep in public areas no matter if you're rich or poor. Florida banned heat regulations for workers, in a state that gets extremely hot. I cannot work here in Florida at all as an ASD homeschooled adult, especially since my autism's not HFA/Aspergers nor mild. Body temperature changes can also trigger meltdowns/rage/stimming episodes and have for me many times (feeling too cold/too hot) even if we survive. Wish I could live in the Appalachian Mountains, far nicer than the decaying "freedom state" of Florida.

During a period of stress last spring, the Bank Term Funding Program helped assure the stability of the banking system and provide support for the economy. After March 11, banks and other depository institutions will continue to have ready access to the discount window to meet liquidity needs.

As the program ends, the interest rate applicable to new BTFP loans has been adjusted such that the rate on new loans extended from now through program expiration will be no lower than the interest rate on reserve balances in effect on the day the loan is made."

"What went wrong with federal oversight and response?

We’ve looked at bank failures before, notably during the 2007-2009 financial crisis—which saw the largest bank failure in U.S. history (Washington Mutual). Both then and now, we’ve found that although regulators often identified risky practices early, the regulators’ corrective actions either didn’t work or came too late to prevent failure.

For example, we found that the Fed voiced concerns about how SVB was managing liquidity—cash and assets that can be easily turned into cash to meet outflows—in August 2021, while still providing the bank with an overall “satisfactory” rating. By late June 2022, the Fed downgraded SVB’s rating, and in August 2022, the Fed issued a supervisory letter informing the bank of its intent to initiate enforcement action focusing on correcting the management and liquidity issues that ultimately resulted in the bank’s failure. But efforts to take the enforcement action were not finalized to allow regulators to complete additional examinations of the bank.

Signature Bank also received a “satisfactory” rating between December 2018 and December 2021, while FDIC took numerous supervisory actions to address liquidity and management risks at the bank. FDIC had not completed its 2022 examination documents for Signature Bank at the time of its failure in March 2023. FDIC staff told us they were considering escalating supervisory actions in 2022. But these actions wouldn’t have taken effect until the second quarter of 2023. On March 11, the day before Signature Bank was closed, FDIC downgraded the bank’s rating and notified the bank of its intent to pursue an enforcement action."

House Republicans wore pins honoring Riley at the SOTU address, while Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) called on Biden, days before, to name Riley in his speech. Similarly, Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) left a seat empty in honor of Riley and her grieving friends and family."
