I saw, and FIXED, this meme: "Autism is not a problem. Stop trying to solve my existence." It was on Twitter/X last week and I added, "not a problem...for me." My RT message was: “Stop trying to deny others’ existence.” But therein  lies the rub. Maybe this person doesn't have autism but took comfort in the “difference” rhetoric and can not see the plight of the broader, medically diagnosed autism community. Maybe he or she or they does indeed have autism, and struggles to comprehend the actual difference in others. Or, Ed, as I’ll call Mr. "Emergent Divergence" could be a garden variety jerk. No matter. At Age of Autism, our mission to shine a light on the man made epidemic continues into 2024.  Our 1990s kids are well into adulthood and little ones are still being diagnosed every day.
