True Love
Few understand true love like we do. Happy Valentine’s Day. We’ve been accused on NOT loving our children, because we don’t accept them as they are. Even those close to us rarely know the ocean deep commitment, bone deep exhaustion of working 24/7/365 to provide everything - that’s the best word, right? Everything our kids need. We do it through their childhood and then we have to create it out of whole cloth for adulthood. Because we love our children. A love few can understand, let alone handle.
Happy Valentine’s Day. We see you. We are proud of you. We are you. Love, Kim
Amen! and Never Surrender!
Blessings to all.

AOA parents truly demonstrate sacrificial love for their children. These trials will not last forever, but in Heaven every tear will be wiped away and there will be a crown on your head.
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
1 John 4:16
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13
We love Him because He first loved us.
1 John 4:19
With all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2

Kim-Only those of us who have such special children/adults know the great amount of care, devotion and love we have for them, even into adulthood. We are exhausted and keep going out of this very strong devotion and love that we will forever have for them. I am comforted by your words and thankful that we all share each others very difficult lives together. Happy Valentine's Day to you and to everyone who reads Age of Autism.
