The autism community landscape has changed over the years, as everything changes. Many AofA readers were at Autism One the year Robert F. Kennedy Jr (whispers flooded the hallways, RFK Jr is HERE?!) spoke about pediatric vaccine injury and Dr. Paul Offit. We watched the debut of Eric Gladen's World Mercury Project movie Trace Amounts. We thought we were on the cusp of a breakthrough. That the autism vaccine connection would finally take center stage and the nation would wake up. Well, the nation is indeed WOKE in 2023, just not as we might have hoped. The World Mercury Project became Children's Health Defense. And Laura Bono, the Executive Director, has the deepest autism bona fides I can imagine.  Let's hope that by working simultaneously, we can change this landscape once and for all.
