Won’t Back Down
We usually run a photo with our posts, but Cathy asked if we had a song that speaks volumes to us, and Bob Marley is mine. Get Up Stand Up. Stand Up for Your rights. Don't Give Up the fight. It's our autism anthem.

A few weeks ago, commenter TOB left me this note:
Great post as always. I was listening to a Tom Petty CD this week and thought it's just a matter of time before "Won't Back Down" is included in a Sunday post. This felt like the "Won't Back Down" post to me :-)
Since that July 11th post, the song TOB mentioned has been running through my head. Several other songs, many with a similar theme, have been running through my head as well. Things are getting uglier and uglier out there in the world. Mandates, uncertainty, and a teeny tiny bit of stress is creeping closer to home. I tend to be a hopefully-ever-after kinda girl.
But not lately.
Some days, when I just don’t have the words to respond to it all, I must turn on some music. Before I fight the good fight against the madness and impending mandates, I'm taking a short break. While I head out of town to the beach with my family to rest and relax for a few days, please enjoy this Won't Back Down playlist. Thanks, TOB, for inspiring it!
Tom Petty (God rest his soul) and the Heartbreakers singing I Won’t Back Down
Pink Floyd and their ever famous Another Brick in the Wall
Twisted Sister screaming their pretty little heads off with We're Not Gonna Take It
Isley Brothers encouraging us to Fight the Power
Genesis proclaiming we’re in a Land of Confusiom
Tears For Fears crooning about Sowing the Seeds of Love
Muse, ahh Muse and this wildly eye-opening song about United States of Eurasia
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5-K51jHQ6k
Rage Against the Machine absolutely rocking their message about In the Name of Killing
[the clean version because I have kids who read/listen over my shoulder :)
Got a great song that speaks volumes? Please add it in the comments below. I’d love to give it a listen. xo, Cat

"I won't back down" is very inspiring. No, I won't back down!
Yet all the lyric in the Sound of Silence fits. so I still I think that the Sound of Silence is the best song for how this vaccine injuries have gone down and what will become of it.
Walking down the cobblestone streets, cold and damp, flash of light ; an epiphany , that vaccine injuries are not rare, but common.
Many know but are just not communicating this.
But what is going on now with covid, lockdowns, threat of mandatory vaccines to a vaccine that don't work; even the ending of the song fits. .
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made (We worshipped all things medical)
And the sign flashed out its warning (Autism rates rise -- sharply)
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
( as in right now People are finally talking about the dangers of vaccines, and how this vaccine is failing, and on a major national cable TV no less! ! In spite of censorship!. That other treatments are being denied. This is the most that has been ever reported. We are finding out that many people are not getting the vaccine. We see Lindsey Graham saying I got the vaccine, I got covid, I would have been sicker if I hadn't -- Yeah right. My vaccinated brother-in- law has covid.
And at last: the last line of the lyric:
And whispered in the sounds of silence.". There is a whisper - in the silence guys.
I know Simon and Garfunkel originally wrote and sang the song, but I just love David Draiman of the Band Disturbs 's; voice singing this.

Holiday by Green Day. "I beg to dream and differ from the hallow lies. This is the dawning of the rest of our lives."
I used to listen to that song on the way to the state capital to lobby, when I used to volunteer for that.

10x what everybody said, especially Gerardo Martinez, and thank you for the shout-out, Cathy.
Thank you, too, annie, for the reminder about all the kids (many of whom are now adults) who have been canaries in the coal mine. Their parents' bravery in speaking out has saved many people from making harmful decisions, and we can never repay them. I hope the current moment and the renewed awareness that medical products can harm people will open a door for compensation, assistance, and justice.

It is no accident that many vaccines, Covid jab included, rely on aborted baby tissue in their creation.
America is being turned over to its vile sin.

Great Playlist! Things are getting dicey everywhere, even here in TX. Courts are involved now and have temporarily overruled the Governor. So some district are going the mask mandate way, others are leaving it up to the Parents! My question is where is the real science that supports having children wear mask for up to 8 hours a day, help fight covid-19?
A song that seems to apply to todays situation is by THE WHO- Won't Get Fooled Again!
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss-Sad!
Blessings to all!
P.S. Hope I did the link right to the song. If not please forgive.

When measels mandate mania was going on 5/6 years ago & I was stressed beyond the ability to hide it over disappearing exemption rights, my then 10 yr old daughter & I would have discussions about vaccine injury. I would try to explain that, yes, there are many vaccine injured children in this world who face almost insurmountable struggles largely in part because corrupt, powerful entities deny their existence. Ok, obviously my depiction at the time may not have been as dire as all that (as she was 10) but that was the general jist. Without fail, at least three times a week, when we would turn on the radio on the way to school Pink’s What About Us would be on. My daughter & I would scream it at the top of our lungs in honor of the injured. Peace & Love to you all!
