Light Housekeeping and Lighthouse Keeping
You might notice that we have some changes in the near future, starting with updating our email feed. Of course, I hit a tech glitch - they DENIED us the ability to transfer, and I sure am hoping it's nothing.... personal. If you know what I mean. You might not get us in your inbox for a while.
I'll keep you posted as I continue to try to keep the light shining. Thanks. KIM
While touring Ernest Hemingway's Key West home on a 2019 trip, I noticed a lighthouse across the street. The last keeper had been a woman and the lighthouse complex was now a museum. Its fascinating displays showcased just how hard she and others like her (usually widows who inherited the post from their husbands) worked.
Congratulations, Kim! You're in good company. Or rather, they are.
