We finally got a bit of Autism Awareness Month nonsense, 8 days into May. Elon Musk declared he has Asperger's on Saturday Night Live. Does he know that Asperger's as a diagnosis went the way of Pluto as a planet?
That's not even the big story. According to the WaPo story below, SNL cast members were aghast that Elon Musk, who has NOT been on board the COVID rocket into the atmosFear, was asked to host. Lorne Michaels was willing to "excuse" anyone from their job if they were too traumatized by working with someone not lock, stock and barrel into Covidphobia.
I follow Elon Musk on Twitter, and he is really quite funny. Look, I know I sometimes say or post strange things, but that’s just how my brain works. To anyone I’ve offended, I just want to say: I reinvented electric cars and I’m sending people to Mars on a rocket ship. Did you think I was also going to be a chill, normal dude?”
One of my favorite Tweets from him goes something like this: "If there’s ever a scandal about me, I hope they will call it Elongate."
Come on! That's funny stuff. Not sure SNL was able to tap into his brand of humor, I haven't watched since the Coneheads came to Earth from... France. His humor is not properly politically correct and probably caused the writers to call their shrinks to up their anxiety meds. Good for him.
Elon Musk reveals he has Asperger’s syndrome during SNL monologue
On the spectrum or not, I hope Musk will consider using some of his gagillions to help people who are anywhere along the spectrum, from the most severely affected to the Aspergeriest of Aspergergians.
