The Aging of Age of Autism
Who ever thought an old school blog format would be "last man standing," as the world flocked to social media? Platforms that have been censoring us for many years are now widening the net. C'est la guerre. We’ve been feeling the squeeze of big tech for years. It’s a travesty of freedom. And yes, we’re on Parler if it’s still up. It’s a platform to reach familes. We were deleted from Pinterest years ago. Insta too.
So you know, I'm working on a few minor updates to make reading us seamlessly easier and as reliable as ever. Google removed us from searches years ago. We used to be indexed in Google News. Armies of editors have re-written our Wiki etc and to be honest, I can not keep whacking the mole. Guess what? We're still here. And you might have to click into a browser to read us.
Autism will always be our primary topic. We write about vaccine injury and medical freedom as an integral part of the epidemic but at the end of the day, and maybe the social media era, we are an autism site. We write about vaccine choice because many of us had no choice or knowledge when our babies were born. And there are so many current issues to discuss. I don't want to over-expand or water us down because some folks who write about other topics of social importance actively dislike, mistrust and frankly, avoid us. We scare them. Vaccine injury is the last third rail. Autism makes their donors nervous. (Not our warrior donors.) Tough noogies and adios. No thanks. We are the Age of AUTISM.

Why do we continue to write, publish and talk about the autism epidemic? Because, almost twenty years after this photo was taken, not much has changed for the better, has it? We have intense needs for our children, our loved ones and our adult friends with autism. It doesn't always matter HOW we got here. Vaccine injury, family history - we are HERE.
Age of Autism will always write from INSIDE the epidemic because this is where we live. I sure do. Mia, Gianna and Bella are each in their 20s now. Imagine that. Please, keep supporting us, read us, agree or disagree with what we publish - we'll never be all things to everyone. We're approaching the 4th anniversary of the death of our dear co-founder Dan Olmsted. I'm amazed and proud we have continued in his name. AofA isn't the same. I could never hope to match Dan's professional Yale journalism expertise. That said, I think we have a personality and voice that's unique online. And I think we are important.
You know we are real. Boy, oh boy, are we ever. I'm here every single day. A tired Mom of three adults on the spectrum. "And not the gifty kind" as I like to say. I'm here with Mark Blaxill our fierce co-founder, John Stone and Anne Dachel, who have remained with the ship so to speak. John moderates comments from people who think our site is their living room, or their octagon..... Anne tracks the epidemic like a hawk following a rabbit on the ground. Cathy Jameson adds hope and humanity each Sunday. Contributors send us amazing content. So many of our readers are generous supporters as well. And without them, we're sunk.

I will point out that what many of us old timers hesitate to say, is that it gets MUCH MUCH WORSE in adulthood. The refusal of neurodiversity and previous administrations, including the current one that has now overfilled the swamp with sewage, to acknowledge and ACT on the epidemic beyond "acceptance" has meant no progress for adults and their families. Just as parents are aging, they find themselves with their adult children home with them. Behaviors that are expected at 5, tolerable at 15, are NOT ACCEPTABLE at 25 or beyond in polite society..... The discrimination against people with autism is rampant. In a matter of months it seems, our governments added several new gender orientations to our forms, licenses, vocabulary in response to the demand for acknowledgement. I'm waiting for the "EAM" category - exhausted autism mom. My point is that we ARE capable of change to deeply embedded systems. Look at what's happened (for better or worse) for COVID. We HAVE the ability, we have never had the will as a nation to look the never ending autism increase in the eye and say, "STOP." Who makes these decisions? Not us. The company line has been to DENY the epidemic and the causes. Our loved ones do NOT fit into old models of day programs, job coaching and housing.
We remain on the "Island" with the train with square wheels and jelly squirt gun and polka dotted elephant. I'd share my HuffPo from ten years ago to explain that, but they deleted ALL of my content years ago as too controversial.

Kim, your courage and endurance are awesome! But everyone here should be prepared for a new wave of repression, as we've already seen with the crackdown on Parler and other dissenting internet operations. The Democratic Party, establishment Republicans, Big Tech, Big Business, the permanent government bureaucracy, the complicit media, and the national security state are now all allied with each to crush populism and anything else that threatens their hegemony, and that certainly includes us. Tomorrow's vaccine choice rally at Pfizer's headquarters in New York had to be cancelled for fear of being attacked by Antifa, which has harassed our demonstrations in the past. (Some mobs are allowed to get away with anything.) The organizers say the rally is only being postponed until things calm down -- but what if things never calm down? Michael, the Pentagon Papers were ancient history: do you expect any mainstream journalist today to publish anything that might embarrass the Biden administration? Now (as Sharyl Attkisson has pointed out) reporters covering the CIA run their stories by CIA officials before publishing them. Of course the same holds true for the CDC and WHO.

When NPR is not delivering a "crock of shit"--Dan's words--they can have some good stuff. Last week Daniel Sheehan died. Many here will recognize his name from the Pentagon Papers exposing the extensive lies, the official government lies meant to deceive the American public about the true folly of the Vietnam War.
Daniel cared. Every sentence had to be absolutely right. He wrote: "If people can know the truth, they can learn from it." That is what Age of Autism represents--The Truth.
3)Kim, your words penetrate this jaded, cynical human being in ways that remind me I have a heart.

Thank you, Kim, for all you do to keep this site going for those of us who've been here from the beginning and never quite latched on to social media. Don't know what I'd do if I didn't have AofA to click on every time I find myself completely bewildered and disgusted by all the uninformed fools out there who so willingly and naively hand their health - and their lives - over to doctors and nurses who have absolutely NO idea what they are doing.

That period four years ago, I know, was the worst time in your life, and yet we are still here on the brink of we don’t know what. I do know that’s a heartbreakingly beautiful picture.

So Beautiful and so Tragic!! My second family. I Have been reading this sight since 2011" When all means all, except when it doesn't. That's how I feel. We are ignored by many. but you cannot deny the truth. We are in it till its Natural Conclusion! Like Dr. A. Wakefield would say. I am tired, but my adrenaline, starts automatically when needed. All of us are so well versed now. Honestly, most pharma Medical Doctors fear us because we are so well informed. We can spot a lie and a fraud in a minute and back up our arguments with sound science. Never will quit. IN it to win it! Our children deserve it. Forever fighting!!

@Kim - Remember the sweet little bird on the Island of Misfit Toys who cannot fly, but he swims, and how he gets dropped from Santa's sleigh at the end of the movie, as the only toy not given an umbrella to help safely ease his way back down to the ground for delivery to children? That's the hard landing our children are given. That's the hardline way our children are treated by others, too, sometimes without any respect for their humanity, or for their academic, social, or other special needs.

"WE ARE AGE OF AUTISM".... I found that single statement extremely inspiring … written by someone .. KIM … who inspires us all everyday ..
I just received VAXXED and VAXXED II .. watched both dvd's over the weekend .. once again I was brought to tears watching parents relive the pain and suffering after witnessing first hand their child suffer VACCINE INJURIES that have forever altered their child's life. HEARTBREAKING does not do justice to what these parents endure raising children who were INJURED FOREVER by a VACCINE.
It has been years since Dr William Thompson first "blew the whistle" on the blatant corruption and obstruction of justice practiced by the highest levels of the CDC, HHS, IOM, on and on … which revealed SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER RISK OF AUTISM TO CHILDREN WHO RECEIVED THE MMR ON SCHEDULE AS OPPOSED TO THOSE WHO RECEIVED THE MMR AT A LATER TIME OF PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT.
WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS VOLUMES OF EVIDENCE GIVEN TO REP BILL POSEY???? WHY HAS HE NEVER BEEN GIVEN OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE HIS EVIDENCE UNDER OATH IN CONGRESS .. AND WHY HASN'T THOSE CORRUPT PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICIALS BEEN FORCED TO DENY HIS ALLEGATIONS UNDER OATH????
One doctor has predicted if present increasing autism numbers are not controlled .. by the year 2032 … ONE IN EVERY TWO CHILDREN WILL BE ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM … 86% of BOYS WILL BE AUTISTIC … AND … STILL NOTHING IS DONE AS THIS CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY CONTINUES TO PROCEED UNABATED AND UNPUNISHED.
