Merry Christmas 2020
Merry Christmas. Here's an 8 hour video of lovely music. 8 hours. One shift of work. Except for most of us who work 3 shifts a day plus our "day job", right? One shift of work for those of us whose adult children are in congregate care with staff. Covid has been brutal for all of us, those taxed with all of the work at home and those whose "kids" are in lockdown in group homes across the world.
I hope you can relax a little bit today. I hope someone brings you a cup of tea or coffee, or your favorite appetizer that you didn't have to make. Maybe you can sit down at the dining table to eat a full meal. Possible or pipe dream, I hope we can all find way to continue traditions that have had to morph for autism first, and now, Covid on top of it.
My Christmas wish is that your family is safe and sound, content and well cared for, wherever they are.
Kim
Kim,
Thank you for your perseverance and patience and for leading the way. Thank you for the place of warmth and welcome. Thank your for your witness and work. May you and your children be richly blessed. Thank you for making a difference. You are appreciated.

Merry Christmas to all!
Kim, thank you for the lovely fire and music.
I hope you all were able to enjoy your family today. My youngest (20) and I watched KLAUS (Netflix) this afternoon, at his recommendation. He is an aspiring cartoon artist and loves animated films. The film was beautifully animated and had a powerful message for all. Brought a tear to my eye. I have great HOPE for 2021. Bless you all!

Thanks for the music and the great writing that I always receive in my inbox.
Have a very Merry Christmas despite of all the "things" we are living these days. We parents of autistic dear ones know what it is like to have a moment of peace, and music helps a lot when it comes to bringing peace to the household.

Wishing the 'AoA family' a peaceful and happy Christmas and a far better 2021, when truth will become obvious to those people who still believe 'Our government cares and knows what is best for us'.
I, too, am extremely grateful for this website. It is a safe place to go when all around is chaos.
Thank you to everyone who makes it such a special place.

Eternal Spirit Earth-Maker, Pain-bearer, Life-giver,
source of all that is and that shall be,
Father and Mother of us all.
Loving God, in whom is heaven.
The hallowing of your name echoes through the universe!
The way of your justice be followed by the peoples of the earth!
Your heavenly will be done by all created beings!
Your commonwealth of peace and freedom sustain our hope and come on earth. With the bread we need for today, feed us.
In the hurts we absorb from one another, forgive us.
In times of temptation and test, spare us.
From the grip of all that is evil, free us.
For you reign in the glory of the power that is love,
now and forever.
Amen.

Merry Christmas to this wonderful AoA Family!
I am grateful for this forum, which is a refuge where one can find uncensored, truth-filled information, support, encouragement, and sanity, some or all of which may be hard to find elsewhere.
Thank you to those who write for and comment here on AoA, adding to the conversation and our AoA community in important ways, be it regularly or on occasion, as time permits.
I wake up each morning eager to see what is posted on AoA, who has commented, and what I might learn.
Wishing each of you a merry, joy-filled, blessed Christmas Day.
