Cafe Mom ran a post about about women, #MeToo sisters who should be supporting one another, women who probably promote breastfeeding and are pro-choice are creating Vaxist or Vaxogynist memes that mock, disregard and bully in the old fashioned not snowflake sense of the words children who are vaccine injured. In a tiny bright moment, when I went to Facebook to seek the photo - it had a content shield over it. I am very happy about that. It deserve to have a warning. It's disgusting.
On what planet does dressing up as a Mom with whom you disagree become en vogue? Do stay at homes dress as working Moms to mock them? Do nursing Moms dress with babies drinking poison from a filthy bottle to stick a finger in the eye of formula moms? Do pro-choice women dress as patients with bloody coat hangers dangling out of their netherparts for fun? Ha Ha Halloween!
WHY IS IT OK TO PORTRAY OUR KIDS AS DEAD? Many ARE dead. They wander. They drown. They choke and gasp and seize to death.
When I was in third grade, I wore an adorable costume for Halloween - I was an Indian! That's what I called it. Today, we no longer use the term Indian, that's called progress. And a child wearing my get up might not be allowed in school parties. Even trick or treating might lead to raised eyebrows. Did I mean harm? Of course not. Was I mocking the Wampanoag tribe that was in my area? Of course not. Still. It would be seen as offensive today, and it was probably offensive to those with Native blood even back in the 1970s. So we no longer dress this way.
But it's not only OK, it's comedic fodder to make fun of vaccine choice, vaccine injury (they don't believe it exists) and families. Dead child! Skelebaby!!!

Welcome to social media in 2019. Where grown women can make fun of vaccine injured children and their families by dressing up as a "baby" with measles. I don't even know if this is carzylla herself in the photo. She shared it, so it's public. Complete with a proud American beer brand in one hand. I'm sure Coors will be calling any day to sign this lovely lass for an endorsement. Never. My guess? She's in the medical field.
MMR has injured many of our children. MMR has been at the center of the autism/vaccine debate for decades. MMR has been reworked, its data fudged, its elements changed, its very existence sued by its very manufacturers own scientists. Measles has been the TrojanHorse used to ram through laws denying exemptions , banning healthy kids from school and just you watch - much more is coming.
So I say to carzylla, whoever and where ever she is - How do you feel making fun of children, parents and families who have been through the kind of hell you could never imagine unless you lived it. Live it. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Like we do. New York is at it again. The legislature introduced Senate Bill A99 in January 2019; it is an active bill, still in committee. The bill was introduced as “An act to amend the public health law, in relation to the removal of cases, contacts, and carriers of communicable diseases who are potentially dangerous to the public health.” If passed into law, the bill would allow the government to detain and quarantine individuals deemed to be a threat to state and local health, which begs the question: Who determines an actual threat? And who really are the actual threats?
Rockland County officials banned unvaccinated individuals from entering public spaces over the summer and issued a follow-up emergency order to mandate the MMR vaccine for specific Brooklyn zip codes. The state seems intent on segregating the unvaccinated from the vaccinated.
The CDC defines an outbreak as three or more confirmed measles cases in a given catchment area of 100,000 people. At least two of the cases must be laboratory-confirmed, with a positive IgM antibody, showing the infection is acute in nature. Under SB A99, the unvaccinated could be detained and quarantined during an outbreak even if they are not infected. Westchester County in New York State passed a similar bill in September 2019, that allows authorities to use these methods against local citizens with no outbreak or case of infection identified.
A Lack of Transparency
Here is a section from the SB A99 bill:
“Upon determining by clear and convincing evidence that the health of others is or may be endangered by a case, contact or carrier, or a suspected case, contact or carrier of a contagious disease that, in the opinion of the Governor, after consultation with the commissioner, may pose an imminent and significant threat to the public health resulting in severe morbidity or high mortality, the Governor or his or her delegee, including, but not limited to the commissioner or the heads of local health departments, may order the removal and/or detention of such a person or group of persons by issuing a single order, identifying such persons either by name or by a reasonably specific description of the individuals or group being detained. Such person or group of persons shall be detained in a medical facility or other appropriate facility or premises designated by the Governor or his or her delegee to comply with subdivision five of this section.”
The bill references severe morbidity, but the evidence may not support that concern, judging from this year’s measles outbreaks. From September 30, 2018, through August, 2019, 1,114 New Yorkers contracted measles across a population of 19,542,209, which equates to a 0.01% prevalence rate. The outbreaks were concentrated in specific areas:

Polly: Gardasil, Gardasil, Gardasil. Everywhere that we went on the bus was Gardasil injury. It got to the point where we could open the bus door and see the line of people and spot how many Gardasil injuries were walking towards us. You could see the Gardasil girls, the Gardasil boys as they came towards you.
This vaccine has caused untold injury and death, and I don’t think we are at even the beginning of the extent of the damage that this vaccine has caused. It’s got to go. …I think when people watch Vaxxed II there is no one in their right mind that is going to give this vaccine to anybody—themselves, their children, anybody—when they’ve seen what we’ve seen on the roads of America. Polly: So in the movie Vaxxed Del Bigtree talks about the hatred for the unvaccinated child. It’s a very, very good point. I’m 53 years old. When I was a child, I was taken to parties to catch measles, and it was considered a mild childhood illness. I remember having measles and really not feeling that ill but just enjoying the week off school. Then 20 years later, I then go to have children, and we’re told that measles is not very nice, so why don’t you give your child the MMR? And they’ll never, ever, ever get measles again.
Sure. Give your child the MMR—brain damage, another story.
Then by the time I get to my third child, actually you need two of the MMR for extra protection.
Can you see how it’s changing?
To say that an unvaccinated child is a hateful person you need to stay away. We see it on social media. “Stay away from my child. I don’t want to catch your disgusting unvaccinated diseases.”
Of all the unvaccinated children that we saw on the roads of America, I can tell you that none of them were sick, they were extremely strong, they were clever, top of their class. And if they did get sick, they got over it very quickly—unlike the vaccinated. So to blame an unvaccinated child for spreading measles, for example, when they don’t have measles, and to believe that, is really, really, really unintelligent.
Think people. Think about what they’re saying. I really don’t know what else to add to that, Anne, other that it’s the most stupid, stupid, statement ever to blame the unvaccinated who don’t have the illnesses on spreading the illnesses. It makes no sense. STOP HERE
Latest update on the filings in the Merck Whistleblower lawsuit claiming fraud in connection with the mumps portion of the MMR vaccine.
After nearly 10 years of stalling and delaying tactics, the case has finally proceeded to the point where the merits of the claim are about to be decided.
Both sides think there are no disputed issues of fact and that they are entitled to judgment in their favor, having filed motions for summary judgment on October 25th. If there are no material fact issues, there is nothing for a jury to decide and a judge can rule that based on the admitted and undisputed facts as well as the law, a party should win (or lose) its lawsuit.
The whistleblowers have filed a motion for judgment against Merck, and Merck has filed three motions claiming it is entitled to summary judgment. The first motion filed my Merck is attacking the whistleblower’s theory of their claim based on an efficacy-based theory of falsity. The second motion is only against one of the whistleblower’s, Stephen Krahling, and the third motion, claims that all of the whistleblower’s claims are barred by the statute of limitations (whether or not the claims are true and valid).
Each side will have an opportunity to try to defeat the other’s motions for summary judgment by submitting Declarations and legal memorandum that either creates a disputed issue of fact, which would then need to be decided by a jury, or by showing that even if all the facts are true, the law does not support the position of the party making the summary judgment motion.
The contents of the documents in connection with these motions are being filed under seal, so other than the name of each document being filed, we don’t have an opportunity at this time to know what either side is saying regarding the facts that aren’t is dispute, or how the law applies to those facts.
After the motions are fully briefed by both sides and oral argument is likely scheduled, there are three possible outcomes. Either the case could be decided in favor of the whistleblowers, the case could be decided in favor of Merck, or there could be disputed issues of fact which would require the case to go to a jury trial to decide the facts.

AoA is grateful to Vinu Arumugham who has written an analysis of an article in MedPageToday by Diana Swift ("expert critique" Melinda Engevik): "Biologics Tied to New-Onset IBD and Other Autoimmune Events - Though mechanism is unclear patients need monitoring for de novo disorders". He writes:
They quote: "We don't really understand the mechanism behind this yet, and the effect might apply to agents other than etanercept," Korzenik told the Reading Room
It is absolutely ridiculous for people to claim that the mechanism is “unclear” or not understood. I predicted that animal protein containing biologics would induce de novo autoimmune disorders (1). Most biologics are produced using Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells. All biologics thus contain residual CHO host cell proteins. We have described the exact immunological mechanism involved in the induction of autoimmunity by immunization with homologous xenogeneic antigens (2). Bailey-Kellog et al. developed CHOPPI specifically because induction of autoimmunity by residual host cell proteins is a known problem (3).
Autoimmune disorders induced by biologics represent the second wave of iatrogenic diseases.
The first wave of iatrogenic diseases are of course all the autoimmune disorders induced by animal protein containing vaccines (1,4–9). The biologics that are now prescribed to “treat” these vaccine induced disorders are creating their own disaster, exactly as predicted.
Says: “You may be wondering how an autoimmune reaction can occur. The autoimmune reaction may be triggered: ... If a foreign substance that is similar to a normal body substance enters the body.”
Below is Del Bigtree's report on the questioning of Mark Zuckerberg by Rep. Bill Posey (R) of Florida. Zuckerberg is clear that the goal is to stop conversation, debate, education and opinion on vaccination. There will be a default position on Facebook that vaccines are always safe and effective for every single human on the planet. Injury will be ignored and denied. Death will be ignored and denied. The utter destruction of pediatric wellness will be ignored and denied. It's not a coincidence that Zuckerberg's wife is a young pediatrician whose maiden name rhymes with Pan, as in Richard Pan.
Both Zuckerberg and his wife are unable and/or unwillingly to process the concept of vaccine injury. Of freedom to choose a medical procedure. Of the right to say "NO." America is moving toward the equivalent of rape by vaccination, and I do not say that to be glib. When the government demands you inject yourself and your children with a product for which the consumer/patient bears 100% of the risk while there is NO LIABILITY to either the manufacturer or the doctor, nurse, random CVS tech who administers it as it generates profit that would make Croesius blush, I think it's fair to call that assault with a chemical weapon.

Posey stated, “I support vaccinations of children and adults, but I also support open and frank communication about the risks of vaccination,” Posey told Zuckerberg. “You testified that you believe in giving people a voice. Is Facebook able to assure us it will support users’ fair and open discussions and communications about the risks as well as the benefits of vaccinations?”
Zuckerberg said anti-vaccination users on Facebook have the same rights to expression as others, and their views aren’t censored. However, he said, they aren’t publicized, either.
“If someone wants to post anti-vaccinationtent or they want to join a group where people are discussing that, we don’t stop them from doing that,” said Zuckerberg. “But […] we don’t go out of our way to make sure our group recommendation systems show people or encourage people to join those groups. We discourage that.”

Pointing out Facebook’s attempts at causing division, their admittance of destructive politics and having a hand in broadcasting misinformation were part of Mr. Meeks’ final words before he yielded his time at a hearing this week. Titled An Examination of Facebook and Its Impact on the Financial Services and Housing Sector, the only witness at the hearing was Mark Zuckerberg. Testifying in front of the House Financial Services Committee, it wouldn’t be the only time that day that Zuckerberg would be reminded that Facebook’s actions speak louder than words.
“You testified that you believe in giving people a voice,” Posey said to Zuckerberg. Then began the questioning.
“Is Facebook able to assure us that it will support users’ fair and open discussions and communications related to risks, as well as the benefits, of vaccinations?” Thanking the congressman for the question, Zuckerberg began his reply by claiming that, “We do care deeply about giving people a voice and freedom of expression.” Citing that those were some of the founding values of his company, he then hesitated and offered this.
“…we hear consistently from our community that people want us to stop the spread of misinformation…” Zuckerberg continued and disclosed a strategy that Facebook now employs, which is to focus on misinformation that “has the potential to lead to physical harm or imminent harm.” Zuckerberg went on and stated that health advice, or misleading health advice, was part of that strategy.
Before his time was up, Rep. Posey had a follow-up question to Zuckerberg’s response, “Are you 100% confident that vaccines pose no injury to any person on this planet?”
Citing the “scientific consensus”, Zuckerberg’s reply was, “It is important that people get their vaccines.”
Reminding him of his platform’s promise, of being able to give people a voice, Posey pointedly asked Zuckerberg, “Shouldn’t somebody have the opportunity to express an opinion different from yours?” Reiterating the need for people to be able to have the information necessary to make an informed choice, Posey waited for Zuckerberg’s reply.
“Congressman, I do. And that’s why we don’t stop people from posting on their page something that’s wrong. Or if someone wants to post vaccine…anti-vaccination content…or if they want to join a group where people are discussing that content, we don’t prevent them from doing that. What we do is we don’t go out of our way to make our group recommendation systems try to show people or encourage people to join those groups. We discourage that.”
Note: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. 2019 is a dark time for medical and religious choice. We live in a nation where courts allow a parent to change a young child's gender often with serious, chemically induced hormonal alterations, yet that same mother or father can not say no to a mandated vaccine. You remarked that you were surprised at the number of medical experts that came on the bus to tell their stories. What do you see changing among doctors? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCo1DiTgDig
Polly: It was incredible to see the medical profession coming to the bus and talking openly about what they know about vaccination. And really, it took a couple to come on the bus, and then they started to all come onto the bus. Safety in numbers.
These doctors are brave to do this because we know what happens to doctors who speak out against vaccines. So it was incredible to hear—first of all, who knew? We’re told, “Do you have a medical degree? Do you have a medical degree, Anne? Do you have a medical degree, Polly? Well you can’t speak on this subject.”
But what the bus found out—again the medical profession coming to the bus on the roads of America—is that they have absolutely no training in vaccines while they’re training to be a doctor. Not one of them had any training. And we interviewed hundreds of doctors and nurses—people with the highest, top qualifications in the medical profession. Nobody has had any training other than vaccines are safe and effective. The same thing that we hear from the media is the same thing they hear in the medical profession. Why are we bowing down to the white coat gods with our most precious possessions to vaccinate them when they’ve had no training?
And you, if you do your research on the insert of that vaccine, will have more training than the doctor that you’re talking to. That was to me was the most amazing thing that happened from the medical profession.
People wake up. They’ve had no training. They do not know what they’re talking about when it comes to vaccines as say they.
Q: There were numerous stories of regression, many immediate, following vaccination. Polly: Vaxxed II is one and a half hours long, so they can’t put everything in, but one of the things I think could last an hour and a half on its own, is all the parents when they talk about what happened when their child was injured, or someone they love was injured, and they went back to the doctor and they said, my child just had the Gardasil or the DTaP or whatever vaccine it is. It had a seizure…it died, whatever.
“It’s not the vaccines.”
All of them. They put their hands up: “It’s not the vaccine.”

The development of a National Vaccine Plan (NVP) was mandated by Congress as a mechanism for the Director of the National Vaccine Program (as delegated by the Assistant Secretary for Health) to communicate priorities for achieving the Program's responsibilities of ensuring adequate supply of and access to vaccines and ensuring the effective and optimal use of vaccines. The most recent NVP, released in 2010, provided a comprehensive 10-year national strategy for enhancing all aspects of the plan, including vaccine research and development, supply, financing, distribution, and safety; informed decision-making by consumers and health care providers; vaccine-preventable disease surveillance; vaccine effectiveness and use monitoring; and global cooperation (http://www.hhs.gov/ nvpo/ vacc_ plan/ index.html). To help inform the development of the National Vaccine Plan 2020, HHS is issuing a Request for Information (RFI). With U.S. vaccination rates above 90% for many childhood vaccines, most individuals have not witnessed firsthand the devastating illnesses against which vaccines offer protection, such as polio or diphtheria. According to a recent study, routine childhood immunizations among U.S. children born in 2009 will prevent 20 million cases of disease and 42,000 premature deaths, with a net savings of $13.5 billion in direct costs

and $68.8 billion in total societal costs.[1] In contrast, adult vaccination coverage rates have remained persistently low, with only modest gains for certain populations in the past few years.[2] As a result, the standards for adult immunization practice were updated in 2014 to promote integration of vaccines into routine clinical care for adults.[3]
Despite the widespread availability of effective vaccines, vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs) remain a significant public health challenge. In particular, rates of non-medical exemptions for childhood vaccines are increasing,[4] and there have been recent measles outbreaks in the U.S.[5] and globally, due to growing vaccine hesitancy and coverage levels below the threshold needed for herd immunity. With an estimated cost of $20,000 per case of measles to the public sector in 2016,[6] the economic consequences of this and other VPDs, as well as the health consequences, are significant. Furthermore, few adults in any age group are fully vaccinated as recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Large disparities in vaccine coverage by race/ethnicity persist, with African Americans, Hispanics, and Asian Americans lagging behind whites in nearly all vaccination coverage rates.[7] VPDs such as pertussis and hepatitis B continue to take a heavy toll on public health,[8] with 18,975 cases of pertussis and 3,409 (22,000 estimated) cases of hepatitis B infections reported in the United States in 2017.[9 10] In light of these challenges, strengthening the vaccine and immunization enterprise is a priority for HHS.

The war to silence vaccine injuries came to a head on a leafy autumn Saturday in a Harlem church overlooking the Hudson River. I witnessed the display first hand when I attended the three-hour event, “The Harlem Children’s Health Forum” on October 19, 2019. The event had been set up weeks before with Reverend Al Sharpton scheduled as one of the keynote speakers. But the firebrand reverend, the enforcer of rights for the African-American community, abruptly dropped out of the forum two days before putting the event and its location in doubt.
The forum’s host and producer, Curtis Cost, author of the 2010 book “Vaccines Are Dangerous,” continued to negotiate with the church on Friday, narrowing its scope from a four-and-a-half-hour event down to three hours.
Clearly, Big Pharma and its proxies moved swiftly to subvert and prevent the forum from taking place. No doubt, chasing Sharpton away from defending his own community was no small victory for Big Pharma and the bought politicians of New York City.
One of their proxies, Dr. Peter Hotez, has refused to debate RFK Jr. but has never refused to take millions in research money from the vaccine manufacturers, launched into a Twitter war with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s non-profit Children Health Defense the week before the scheduled event. Hotez attacked the event and its location—Harlem, New York—in the most obscene way.
And debate what? It’s like debating whether or not smoking causes cancer. Or whether seat belts are safe. There’s nothing to debate. There’s only #Science vs a band of miscreants who monetize the internet, sell fake books, phony autism cures, or those just desperate for relevancy
Has also said in a separate tweet: “I don’t engage in ‘calling people names’, but I’ve asked you halt the predatory targeting of vulnerable populations, Somali Immigrants (sic) in 2017, Orthodox Jews in 2019, and now African-Americans in 2020 (sic). So far: 71 hospitalized, 18 in the ICU. Just please stop.”
Let’s take a look at how Professor Hotez defines a “vulnerable population.”
The Somali Vulnerable Population
Without adding context to his “predatory targeting” race-baiting screed, Hotez failed to support his vaccine Molotov cocktail with facts. No matter. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., addressed the issue in a 2017 article, “Somali Parents’ Rational Concerns About Vaccine Safety.”

Q: What did the original showing of Vaxxed around the country do for parents?
Polly: When Vaxxed come out, and parents started to hear, thanks to censorship, thanks to the explosion on social media, …this was about a whistleblower at the CDC, and there were parents in there talking about how their children regressed. Every parent that’s lived through that, which is countless as we know, suddenly BREATH, breath of relief that we’re not crazy. This is true. We’ve been slam-dunked so much that the original Vaxxed was literally the massive boost that these parents needed to get out there, have the courage to say, “You spoke out, so I’m going to speak out.”
And as that happened, the army of parents started to come out. So Vaxxed definitely was instrumental in giving parents the courage to go back out there and tell their stories and warn the other that parents, which is what they’re actually doing more than anything else.
Q: What was the Vaxxed bus tour around the U.S. like?
Polly: We realized that travelling by plane to all the events and trying to speak to parents was not going to work. We were missing too many stories. So we got a Vaxxed bus, and we got out on the road in an RV, and we spoke to the parents.
What we saw, none of us were prepared for. None of us knew the extent of vaccine injury. We knew there was a problem with the MMR. We knew there was a problem with autism. We knew there was a possible problem with a few others, but nothing prepared us for what I described as a war zone out here in America. It was like a blood bath of death and injury. It was literally like walking out onto a battlefield.
And this America. This isn’t a Third World country. This is America where …all I’m seeing on the streets talking to the people—and these are really well-educated people—talking to these people who believed in and had faith in our medical profession, and there in their houses coming to the bus, nothing but death, destruction, paralysis, injury beyond belief here in America.
Who is the sinner?? There are virtually NO unvaccinated students in New York Schools. All children with religious exemptions have been expelled as a health threat. It must be an Immaculate Infection in the Church of Vaccinology.
Note: Thanks to The Fed Up Democrat for a fantastic summary of the Harlem Vaccine Forum event on Saturday. Al Sharpton, no stranger to controversy or confrontation, begged off at the last minute. That's a shame. African American toddlers are in the thick of the vaccine debate. CDC Whistleblower William Thompson has stated in no uncertain terms that the CDC fudged, altered, massaged, changed data signals that implicated autism and the timing of the MMR vaccine specifically in black toddlers. How many families are facing autism today because of the CDC's lies and corruption? And why doesn't Al Sharpton, or any prominent Black leaders in America care?

Here's an excerpt of the report of the Fed Up Democrat (great name, any of us who have been or even voted for Democrats are sickened to see the lockstep votes against religious and even medical vaccine exemptions that are closely following party lines, with almost 100% of democrats voting to remove your rights.

From Al Sharpton almost ending the event before it ever happened, to RFK Jr. having his mic cutoff and police called on him. 24 hours after the event it appears there is no mainstream news coverage of the event at all – not even to slam it. They couldn’t stop it, so now they ignore it.
After attending the event it is clear to me why there were so many attempts to stop it from happening: it was the broad range of diversity that came together in one place. As I sat with White mothers (many who were in tears ) whose children have been kicked out of public school, it was painfully clear to me none of us at that forum had a fair chance now. I felt as though I heard Sheila gently welcome us White folk to the club. This was the most powerful take-away from The Harlem Vaccine Forum for me: our strength will come as we unify and rise-up, and The Powers That Be (TPTB) know this and are afraid of it. October 20, 2019 — The Harlem Vaccine Forum was phenomenal!
As GPS directed me to the event I cracked a smile as signs took me over the RFK bridge. When I arrived I saw the amazing Sheila Ealey who was selling Mary Holland’s book VACCINE EPIDEMIC. I have seen Sheila speak other times, including in Albany during our NYAVR Lobby day. I introduced myself. When I told her I have a blog called The Fed Up Democrat she said “I love your stuff!” and gave me a big high five! (That was pretty cool). The event was as diverse as New York City – Black, White, Brown, old, young and children everywhere. The sound of children playing, crying, talking was almost a constant filling the air before and during the event.
Curtis Cost who wrote the book “Vaccines Are Dangerous” was the master of ceremonies for the event, and did an outstanding job. “They tried to stop us but we are here anyway,” said Cost to crowd cheers and applauds.
The first speaker was Mary Holland, who Cost just gushed love and admiration for. He said it was like the two of them were married because they spoke everyday on the phone for months planning the event. Cost thanked Children’s Health Defense (CHD) profusely for “putting their money where their mouth is.” The event would not have happened without CHD. Holland is the full-time General Council for CHD, and she was just as gracious with her thanks to Cost when she got to the microphone.
“This is a make or break Civil Rights Movement for the 20th Century,” said Holland.
Holland detailed exactly what the problems are in New York right now, specifically how we lost the Religious Exemption to Vaccination for students which New York had for over 55 years. Holland outlined the current litigation CHD has fighting mandatory vaccination. Her most memorable moment was when she discussed the legacy of the great Frederick Douglas, the 19th Century African American abolitionist and civil rights leader. Something very few know is that Douglas was staunchly opposed to mandatory vaccination. He noted that many people who were vaccinated for small pox still died of small pox, so what was the point of the vaccination! It is important for the Health Freedom Movement to remember we are in good company: many brilliant historic figures were staunchly against mandatory vaccination, including Gandhi...
October 19, 2019 — Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s microphone was cut-off about 10 minutes into his speech at the Riverside Church in Harlem, NY.
...The event was outstanding with over 500 people in attendance with standing room only. When RFK was cutoff Mary Holland came and spoke to Curtis Cost who was running the event. I heard her say it will cost $2500 for the extra time (the event had gone overtime at that point) and RFK said he would pay for it.
However that didn’t solve the problem. Eventually another employee of the church came and got on the mic and told everyone the event was being closed down because it was over capacity. Read more at the Fed Up Democrat blog.
By Raising a child with as many medical issues as my son has is no easy task. That’s why we celebrate each and every little gain as they happen. Those are some of my favorite days. Other days, like one we had last week when we hit a medical setback, I’m reminded of how this all started. I’m not fond of those memoriesnor of the emotions that creep in when they resurface.
My youngest was helping me clear the dinner table when she heard Ronan attempt to say something. Attempting to speak again, I deciphered what it was that he wanted and then went back to cleaning up. I glanced over at my daughter. She was smiling.
“Mommy, I wonder what Ronan’s voice will sound like when he talks.”
A favorite memory instantly came to my mind. Chunky and with beautiful tan skin, Ronan was engaged. He was displaying perfect eye contact. He was sociable, happy and chatty. Hisspeech hadn’t yet vanished in this memory of mine. I remembered hearing meaningful verbalizations and knew that new functional words were forming. At this time in his life, Ronan’s eyes were full of wonder and were stunning. His sweet voice captivated many whom he came in contact.
I miss that husky voice of his. I miss those bright brown eyes too.
After cleaning up, I watched baby videos and looked through digital photos on the computer with my younger kids. A special request of theirs, they love to see their tiny little selves on the computer screen. They love it even more when I have time to sit down with them during this activity. Mom! Look at how small I was! Oh, Mommy. I remember that toy! Tell me the story again that goes with this picture. I love hearing it. It’s always a treat to hear my children giggle and reminisce about the “old days”. Midway through that afternoon’s slide show, the image I had of Ronan and the sound of that husky voice flashed across the screen. I smiled. Then I ached. I wasn’t prepared for what would come next. I don’t mean what event that I had videotaped next in the home movie; I mean the onslaught of raw emotions that went through me.
I told myself to stop watching the videos, because I knew that the more I watched, the more I’d wished I hadn’t started.
Ronan was developing. Until he wasn’t.
Ronan was talking. Until he couldn’t.
Ronan was interactive. Until he cared more about pushing one button over and over again on one toy than he did about us. I didn’t see my cute, happy child in those images. One photo after another, I could only see delays, lack of development and then no development whatsoever.
So, yes, for many of us, with some luck we’re going to get really old, our kids that require almost 24/7 caretaking will be ok, and we’ll outlive them by a day or two. Or, maybe not. Either way, we’re going to need help, and we have a partial solution we’re building for ourselves that many of you, my readers, might be interested to know more about. You may know my wife and I from our 2014 Oscar qualified film The United States of Autism, which has now played in over 75 countries, and many thousands every year still stream it around the world. We donated a large portion of every local screening proceeds from the showings, we battled congressman and senators in Q&A’s, and we donated copies to many libraries around America, all on almost no budget. But despite all that impact, we came to understand in our own personal life, if we want our son to live the most comfortable life by aging in place, how are we going to accomplish this as we become older and may need help ourselves? So, we sat down and listed out all the things we would need help with as we age.
The Real Problems We Face
Know where he is day or night (help with wandering). Check. Daily living reminders (executive function) for getting dressed, toiletries, medicine, eating, sleeping. Check. Complete privacy so no one at Amazon, Facebook, Comcast, Google, or anywhere else can hack in and see what goes on in my home. Check. Then, it got really complex. Preparing food. Cleaning the house. Talking to him when he’s upset or he injured himself and we’re not around. Adjusting water temperatures and faucets, making sure the ovens don’t burn down the house, even closing the refrigerator. All these things are something Rosie from the Jetsons would do. Which gave us an idea. We at Sugey decided to start building a Home Artificial Intelligence called The Sugey One, and do this ourselves if the market wouldn't listen.
How it Works (and Help You Sleep Better)
The camera systems are placed at the exits of your house first, maybe one in the individuals's bedroom as well and anywhere else you'd like to track (kitchen, playroom), and are able to recognize people during day or pitch black night and track them around the home. The Sugey One camera sensors also have voice activation and speakers! These allow us to notify someone if a person wanders out of the home who is not supposed to, either by text or by telling the person in the house via speakers . It will also track simple behaviors like eating and sleeping intially. So, in summary, you’ll have a few private cameras placed around the home that will help you mitigate wandering (maybe help you sleep better), and help keep track of daily living tasks and store information for any future records (like times people wake up so you can tell if people may be sick or depressed). You have to start small when building artificial intelligence hardware. Large companies spend millions of dollars, and we, well, we don’t. However, we’ve made tremendous progress (blowing the pants off of the big companies I might add) focusing on these two areas, wandering and daily living. We find these are the top two concerns and we focus heavily on it in the present, while planning ahead for all the potential unique things people will need in the future. Lastly, the collected data is managed privately, and we have a unique hardware setup to make sure all the camera images are private as well.
The Gotcha
The biggest gotcha is that when we pitch investors on what we’re doing, often they come back to us with two problems.
The market is too small
You don’t have the backing
That’s right, shockingly I know, people telling us there’s no money for autism support.
It might be time for moms to start making their own baby food. From their own gardens. After having their dirt tested.
Because what is coming off the corporate shelves, even with organic labels on them, may be harming them in all the ways we are fighting against.
Healthy Babies, Bright Futures has published the results of an examination of baby food content, and found that almost all contain metals. Their headline reads:
"A new study finds 95 percent of tested baby foods contain toxic chemicals that lower babies’ IQ, including arsenic and lead."
The source of the contamination, well, the whole world.
"Notably, parents can’t shop their way out of these exposures by choosing organic foods or by switching from store-bought brands to homemade purees. Heavy metals are naturally occurring in soil and water and are found at elevated levels in fields polluted by pesticides, contaminated fertilizer, airborne contaminants and industrial operations. Food crops uptake these metals naturally.
Sadly, this is an IMPROVEMENT in food conditions, as the report shares that after the FDA changed their approaches, working with food safety advocates to reduce heavy metals.
" Current arsenic contamination levels in rice cereal and juice are 37 and 63 percent lower, respectively, than amounts measured a decade ago because of companies’ success in reducing metals levels in their food ingredients to comply with draft FDA guidance. They have shifted growing and processing methods."
From the perspective of parents working to end their child's contact with toxic metals, the prospects seem grim according to this report. But at least they offered information to make things better.

Note: Don't punish progress. $8 million in direct funds is a start. Most states have nothing for families, like many in the autism community, whose children have severe behaviors and aggression. The boy featured in the story has autism.
The state is setting aside $31 million to support families whose children have complex behavioral health needs and require help from multiple systems. The pot includes $8 million in direct aid so that parents won’t have to surrender custody to get the treatment and services their children need.
For most of the past five years, Mark Butler hasn’t had good answers for the anguished parents who call to say they had to surrender custody to get the behavioral-health care their children so desperately need.
But when his phone rang Tuesday?
“I was able to say, ’Go to the Ohio Family and Children First Council tomorrow and apply for help, and let’s get your boy back,‴ said Butler, a parent advocate who lives in Whitehall. Read the full article at Dispatch News.
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Carl and Kerri Schwartz say they have good medical reason for not vaccinating their disabled 11-year-old son, Thorn, and until recently his local public school went along with their family doctor’s advice.
That changed, the Schwartzes said, when New York state did away with religious exemptions for vaccines in the middle of a measles outbreak, and then clamped down on medical exemptions like theirs. Thorn is now barred from his school in Fairport while his parents challenge the district’s rejection of his exemption.
Thorn Schwartz has autism, a developmental disorder that affects each child differently, and his father said a new state policy is leaving little room for exceptions.
“It’s just so specific for that patient. If that doctor can’t tie a particular vaccination to this particular child’s body, it’s just denied. Period,” Carl Schwartz said.
Amid a flurry of proposals to end personal-belief exemptions for vaccines in states around the country, families like the Schwartzes and others say the restrictions that passed in New York have led to unbending scrutiny and, in some cases, decisions that overrule the guidance of family doctors and force children into home-schooling.
New York this year became the fifth state to require all students except those with valid medical reasons to be fully vaccinated, when lawmakers eliminated exemptions on religious grounds.
(Hint: The State will tell you that there are no valid medical reasons.)
Yesterday I was at the dump, excuse me, transfer station, in my town. We have private curbside pick up in my town, and when I got divorced, trash removal was important to me, but pricey, so I dumped the service and drive twice weekly to dispose of my garbage. The transfer station has a large bay, like a garage, in which there is a pit. You heave household trash into the pit. It's cathartic. My boxed, preserved House of Bianchi wedding gown made a particularly nice "clunk" when it hit the bottom two years ago.
Parked next to me, a man took a long, fluorescent tube out of his fuel efficient car. I thought, "No way, he's not going to...." Sure enough, he marched into the bay to heave it into the pit. I ran next to him, "You can't do that! The tube is loaded with mercury! It's toxic! There's a special drop off for CF and tube lights!!!"
"There is? I didn't know that."
CRASH. Explode. Mercury vapor is now filling the pit and about to waft up to us.
I wish I knew who he is. I'd send him a copy of Trace Amounts, the story of how a broken tube light on a construction site launched Eric Gladen into years of disability including most of the signs of autism.
Imagine how many of these bulbs are in in our trash. Especially the CFL's that pretend to be real lightbulbs instead of toxic bombs. But measles. Right?
Having just succeeded in foisting Gardasil 9 on to boys in the UK the operation is on the move again - the idea now, as spotted by Christina England in Health Impact News, is that everyone including the elderly should have it.
Based on the discussion above, we would like to call for further investigation and documentation of the potential public health benefits of vaccination of HPV-positive women. For modellers, these data would provide an additional effect that should be considered when designing HPV vaccination impact models exploring and quantifying the herd protection observed in population programmes. Finally, these additional modes of protection may also reduce the existing reluctance to vaccinate (young) women post-sexual debut or known high-risk groups such as sex workers.
If this seems like jumping the gun it is actually how it has always been: the benefits were always entirely speculative, the vastly documented harms relentlessly denied. Once again, we are seeing a piece of theater: the evidence of benefit is conjectural, the experts in the study conflicted up to their eye-balls:
Note: Every so often, we get a glimpse into the real lives of families facing the challenges of raising a child on the spectrum. Too often, we get a whitewashed, Hollywood version of autism, whether The Good Doctor or the 1 in a million young lady who becomes a lawyer. For many, probably most of our AofA readers, life is difficult. In my memoir, I wrote that I would never have a life that was like a big wedding cake, with a hundred plates of cake. I have a petit fours life. One tiny bite on one small plate. Maybe three small plates. And that bite is delicious. I savor it. While I want the whole cake, for my girls most of all, it's not reality for us. And so I find joy and delight where I can. Read this blog entry below. The silver lining for her is scar tissue. Many families have sought residential or inpatient treatments for their severely aggressive children, only to find nothing. We know the story of Alex Spourdalakis too well. We live in a beautiful home, in a beautiful neighborhood. I am almost done repairing destruction caused by severe autism and psychosis. It’s been five months since she’s been away. I’ve painted just about every room in our home. I’ve spackled holes in the wall—the size of feet and fists. I remember the tears, as I painted over the last muddy handprint she left above the bathtub. And hanging new blinds from ones that were broken from her trying to, and eloping out of windows. Door frames needing total replacements from the repeated slamming while she was manic.
It was a cold day in February five years ago when a psychologist sent by the local authority issued a chilling warning to Sinead: Give up your rights to protect your son or we will take him from you.
After 25 years of caring for someone with autism, including winning a judicial review to ensure funding for his education, Sinead was not too scared by the threat.
‘There is not a court in the land that would do such a thing,’ she replied.
One month later, police turned up on her doorstep with a council official to say that a secret court hearing had empowered the authorities to seize her son Martin.
At the same time, social workers arrived at the farm where Martin was enjoying work experience and told him that they needed to take him into safety since his parents were unable to care for him – and then put him in a care home two counties away.

Knowing that a new hire comes with a good referral eases my mind. That referral usually comes after I've asked friends, therapists, neighbors, coaches and my people in my church community if they know someone who's looking for work.
The job? Working with my son
Location? In our home
Why? Because he requires one-on-one support
When? Now until...
We haven't always been able to hire someone that a friend has recommended though. When that happens, if we don't find someone after reaching out as far as our rolodex of professionals and circle of friends go, I brainstorm ideas of where else I can look for qualified individuals who can meet Ronan's needs.
One place a lot of families will use to find in-home help is online. Since we have had more bad luck than praise reports using online classified ads, I knew that I wasn't going to go that route to find a new hire in my last search. Others have been successful using services that match sitters/nannies/special needs attendants with families. But I really wanted to go the old fashion route – by word of mouth.
We lost a worker a few months ago. I have been actively trying to fill the position since then. After asking everyone we knew for some leads, I was not able to find anyone through word of mouth efforts. I knew that I was going to have to look beyond my comfort zone to find our next provider.
While looking through some ads placed by other parents in similar positions, I read that people were having some luck working with their local community colleges and universities. I looked into that and discovered that some schools will offer to place their education, nursing or psychology department students in both paid and unpaid internships with families like mine. We had not utilized an intern yet, but I would be open to that if we found the right match. I thought that could be a really good idea, especially if it was someone who could learn and earn hands-on experience with my family.
Recently, a friend shared that she was looking for in-home help for her son as well. Our boys are similar in that they are both non-verbal and require one-on-one assistance and supervision. We were both going to have to hire complete strangers because she, too, could not find anyone within her circle of friends to help.
Hi, friends. We've been online since 2007 as Age of Autism. We post on a wide range of content, and sometimes I am chided for content that is NOT about autism. When our founding editor Dan Olmsted was with UPI, he wrote a series of columns that he called, "The Age of Autism' about the rise of autism. He kept hearing that the Amish did not have autism at anywhere near the rate the non-amish population, and being a Yale trained journalist, he sniffed a hell of a story. Little did he know that this story would take over his career and his heart, causing both love and ache.
Each Friday before his death, I would eagerly await his Editor's post for Saturday. Dan was sometimes pithy, sometimes his posts took a long form. He never failed to artfully dissect the story and lay it out in terms we could all understand.

The Age of Autism has grown more dire. As the early 90s birth cohort enters adulthood we see a lack of services and supports. Families who spent their last dime on treatments, therapies, for whom cure was a goal, not a swearword, are exhausted. Most of us have not caught the brass ring - our kids are still severely impaired by autism. At the same time, there's a flood of toddlers being diagnosed and their outcome is no brighter. I talk to young parents who are in the diagnosis process. NOTHING has changed in the 20 years since my Mia and Gianna were diagnosed by a callous jerk of a neurologist in Cleveland, Ohio. Parents of newly diagnosed kids still do not know where or how to begin. School is not enough. Early intervention is not enough. Pediatricians have a sum total of ZERO to offer in terms of treatment. My district took in eleven students into the autism classroom this year. 11! Districts across the nation are battling a new student body - violent, chronically ill, uneducable in any standard classroom. And Nero fiddles.

Attorney Statement on Sullivan-Knapp v. Cuomo (Steuben County)
We are extremely disappointed by the fainthearted and incohesive decision filed today by Judge Wiggins, but we are encouraged by most of the content of the Judge’s decision.
Judge Wiggins acknowledged that the New York legislature “callously disregarded” the religious beliefs of 19.54 million New Yorkers when removing the religious exemption to vaccination without holding “any committee hearings or substantial debate”. He wrote that the legislature’s actions led to the “unconscionable consequence” of 26,000 healthy children being denied access to New York schools. He ruled that “the danger to the public was somewhat overstated” in Judge Hartman’s Albany decision. He stated, “children not vaccinated because of religious exemptions make up less than 1% of the population, which hardly seems like a public health crisis”. Meanwhile, the rationale which the legislature used to repeal the religious exemption was itself overstated and nonexistent public health crisis, to which the expert affidavits attest.
Yet, despite including the above in his decision, Judge Wiggins ultimately denied the preliminary injunction, which would have eliminated the “unconscionable consequences" of the repeal bill while this case progresses to trial. He writes near the end of his decision that “precedent appears to give the legislature the authority to bar the doors (to school) to the unvaccinated". It seems he ruled this way because he believed he had no other choice to “precedent”, but this is not entirely accurate.
Sullivan-Knapp v. Cuomo is a novel case of first impression. This gives Judge Wiggins the opportunity to create new precedent in his decision. In the history of the United States, there has never been a case based solely on a state constitution involving the removal of a religious exemptions to vaccination.
As you read about students coming down with mumps, pleae remember that two whistle-blowers who worked for Merck itself blew the whistle on their employer for the lies and dangerous sales tactics for a faulty vaccine. Keller Grover LLP represents Stephen Krahling and Joan Wlochowski in a False Claims Act case originally filed in 2010 and now pending in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, United States ex rel. Krahling and Wlochowski v. Merck & Co., Case No. 10-cv-4374. Krahling and Wlochowski allege in their complaint that their former employer, Merck & Co., defrauded the government for more than a decade in an ongoing scheme to sell the government a mumps vaccine that is mislabeled, misbranded, adulterated and falsely certified as having an efficacy rate that is significantly higher than it actually is. The federal government purchases more than half of all vaccines sold in the United States, including the mumps vaccine. While the United States declined to intervene, it filed a Statement of Interest in response to Merck’s motion to dismiss making clear the government has “a strong interest in the outcome, even though it has not intervened in the case.” The government appeared at the hearing on Merck’s motion along with counsel for Krahling and Wlochowski and emphasized its position for the Court. Merck’s motion to dismiss was subsequently denied.

Merck, the pharmaceutical giant, is facing a slew of controversies over its Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR) vaccine following numerous allegations of wrongdoing from different parties in the medical field, including two former Merck scientists-turned-whistleblowers. A third whistleblower, this one a scientist at the Centers for Disease Control, also promises to bring Merck grief following his confession of misconduct involving the same MMR vaccine.

We identified variants in genes and loci that are clinically recognized causes or significant contributors to ASD in 10.4% of families without previous genetic findings. In addition, we identified variants that are possibly associated with ASD in an additional 3.4% of families.
What about the other 76.2% of families? Genetics research is fully funded. Biomedical research for autism is shunned. From Autism Speaks to IACC, dollars have gone to the safest haven of research where the fingers can only point straight back to the study participant.
If your child has an allergic reaction, see your doctor straight away. The signs may include:
rashes that may be itchy or blistering
swelling of the eyes and face
difficulty in breathing or swallowing
a sudden drop in blood pressure and loss of consciousness.
These signs usually start very soon after the injection has been given. Talk to a doctor straight away if they happen after leaving the doctor’s surgery.
See your doctor straight away if your child has any of the following serious side effects:

These side effects have happened very rarely with Infanrix hexa as with other vaccines against whooping cough. They usually happen within 2 to 3 days after vaccination.
Other side effects include:
Very common (these may occur with more than 1 in 10 doses of the vaccine): feeling tired, loss of appetite, high temperature of 38°C or higher, swelling, pain, redness where the injection site was given, unusual crying, feeling irritable or restless.
Common (these may occur with up to 1 in 10 doses of the vaccine): diarrhoea, being sick (vomiting), high temperature of more than 39.5°C, swelling larger than 5 cm or hard lump where the injection was given, feeling nervous.
Uncommon (these may occur with up to 1 in 100 doses of the vaccine): upper respiratory tract infection, feeling sleepy, cough, large swelling at the injected limb.
Rare (these may occur with up to 1 in 1,000 doses of the vaccine): bronchitis, rash, swollen glands in the neck, armpit or groin (lymphadenopathy), bleeding or bruising more easily than normal
This seems impossible at best and a fire code violation at least. Public turned away from the monthly meeting of the Board of Regents. Plywood covering the front door of the Education Department in Albany, and employees with IDs hustled in with security through a side door. John Gilmore reported that close to 100 tax paying citizens were turned away.
This is what vaccine policy has done to education in the Empire State. Public education is not for the public. This is horrifying.
More than 25,000 New York schoolchildren have been expelled due to the revocation of the Religious Exemption. The Medical Exemption is completely separate. Or is it? Below is a story about a boy with Lennox Gastaut Syndrome who has an ME from his neurologist. And he is still being banned from school because a medical bureaucrat has ruled the exemption insufficient. Dr. Elizabeth Rausch-Phung is the Director of the Bureau of Immunization. Dr. Rausch-Phung is trained in Family Medicine. And Public Health. Here is her bio from the Association of Immunization Managers or AIM - insert your own joke here. Dr. R-P overrode the decision of a neurologist and would probably override God himself if he wrote a medical exemption. Or would that be religious?
Dr. Rausch-Phung received her M.D. degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, where she also completed an internship in Internal Medicine. She completed residency training in Preventive Medicine at the University of Michigan, from which she also received a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology. She is board certified in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine.
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — 9-year-old Ameer Hamideh has been kicked out of school because he's not vaccinated. But his parents say getting vaccines could be
"He was vaccinated the first couple years of his life. After the vaccines, started getting seizures...his body couldn't tolerate it," said Ali Hamideh, his father.
The vaccines could make his son's seizures more severe and his son's neurologist backs up that claim, according to Hamideh.
"It would make it a lot worse, chance of hospitalization, even a chance of death," said Hamideh.
But under the new state law requiring all students to be vaccinated, Ameer was kicked out of the CHC Learning Center he attends.
"He's obviously disabled, but he's very smart..being out of school, he's very hurt," said Hamideh.
Because of Ameer's condition, his father filed for a medical exemption and Sarah Finnegan MD, a local neurologist based in Buffalo, signed off on that exemption in August. Read more at KBW Buffalo New York.
Many of our readers have been at this long enough to remember the controversy of using Lupron to treat autism. The doctors who promoted this treatment were pilloried and Lupron became the poster-drug for "quack" autism treatments. Well that ugly duckling as turned into a swan, as it is now praised for its safety in helping children with gender dysmorphia block puberty. Remember, there is to be NO TREATMENT for autism. You can change anything you want, even your gender (and God bless the children and their families who face this confusion.). You can NOT change your or your child's autism.
...Even though the Oakland family had agreed in advance that their daughter would start on blockers at the right time, “we had to reassure her constantly that we wouldn’t let it go too far,” she said.
When she turned 13, the girl started receiving monthly injections of Lupron, a widely prescribed sex hormone suppressor. “As soon as she started, you could just see the relief in her,” said the mother. “You could see it in her demeanor, in her mood; it was just a huge weight off her shoulders,” she said.
The family’s insurer, Kaiser Permanente, covered the treatment. Puberty blockers are considered “standard of care in the appropriate clinical circumstances,” said Erica Metz, medical director for Transgender Health at Kaiser Permanente Northern California. According to Metz, the treatment “gives patients and their families time to work with their mental health and medical providers to determine if it is appropriate to start transitioning.”

There used to be a saying that one should never discuss sex, politics or religion at the dinner table. The topics were too highly charged and sure to cause agita. Today, there is only one topic in the USA that we can not discuss and that's vaccines. Take a look at what happened when a mobile flu shot business posted that it would be at a barbershop in Idaho on Facebook. The business owner, a nurse practitioner, made a critical error. He added an insult at the end of his post. And he knew it. "Anti-vaxxers need not reply." Fatal. Dumb. Way to be professional.
MERIDIAN — Brad Bigford thought his Facebook post might get a few comments and “maybe one or two, like, angry emoji faces” from people who oppose vaccinations.
That’s usually what happens when he posts about immunizations, he said.
Instead, the Facebook page for his company, Table Rock Mobile Medicine, became ground zero for the vaccine debate.
Bigford is a nurse practitioner whose mobile health care business goes to people’s homes and other sites in the Treasure Valley to deliver many of the services available at urgent care clinics. He posted Monday afternoon on Facebook that the business will offer flu shots Friday at a local barber shop, Fred’s Reel Barbershop in Meridian.
In the first day, the post reached about 18,000 people. It averaged two comments a minute during waking hours, he said.
By Wednesday afternoon, it had reached more than 70,000 people and gathered 1,800 comments. Bigford had enlisted three other nurses to help manage the flood so he could see patients. Read more here.
I saw this bag of Goldfish baked crackers in the Stop and Shop yesterday and was brought back to my own kitchen in Ohio, 19 years ago, when I hosted a neighborhood playgroup. Bella was just a month old. Mia and Gianna were 3 and 4 years old. I brought up the conversation about dye in food. I had printed out some information about red, yellow and other dyes and their effect on children and left it on the island where I was serving coffee and healthy snacks. I remember being shocked that not a single Mom picked up the paper.
When I saw this bag of Goldfish touting "Non-GMO! Organic wheat! Color Free!" I was pleased to see progress.
Parents should have the choice of what to put into their children's bodies.
Every now and then, I discover that someone I know has taken a piece of advice that I've offered. I like learning that. It tells me that my knowledge, or something that I’ve experience, was recognized and that it had some value. It’s encouraging to know that some of my ideas have become someone else's stepping stone. Every now and then, though, I discover that someone that I know has opted to forgo the advice that they’ve asked of me. I know that no one is ever under any obligation to take my advice, but I have to admit that it hurts a little to know that something that I've share has been dismissed.
It hurts a little bit more when I find that not only was my advice dismissed, but that a decision the other person made that went completely against suggestions that I offered.
It hurts a whole heck of a lot when the advice, the information, the suggestions, and the decision that was made was about vaccines.
That hurts the most because in that last situation, I was asked to retell how liability-free vaccines negatively impacted my son’s life. To relive those moments - to hear myself talk about the vaccine injury, the regression, the loss of speech, and also the beginning of the seizures - to hear myself say out loud to the other parent, "If I'd known then what I know now..." there is no other way to explain what it feels like except that it hurts. It hurts to learn that they’ve opted to go down that same path I now desperately wish I could’ve avoided.
As much as it hurts, I have to remind myself of one very important fact: I was merely being asked for my opinion. And that my opinion is just that - my opinion. I am not responsible for what someone does with it.
I am not responsible for other parents.
I am not responsible for their opinions.
I am not responsible for their decision.
I am not responsible for their actions.
And I should not let their opinions or their decisions or their actions affect me. But they do affect me. They make me want to mutter under my breath. To retreat. To keep my mouth shut. To hide.
But I won't hide. And I won't be quiet. I won't stop sharing my opinions, my decisions, my actions, or Ronan's story. Why?

On the whole, Lisa Marks Smith would rather have had the flu. Instead, the Cincinnati mom of two college-age sons got a mercury-containing flu shot that nearly killed her, led to paralysis, severe neurological problems, 24 days in the hospital – and a check from the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program that attests to the truth of her story.
Smith has come to see first-hand how carelessly flu shots are administered, how dangerous the mercury that remains in most of them can be, how little public health officials actually seem to care when the worst happens, why the worst may not be so rare after all – even how similar the side effects can be to symptoms of autism.
She talked to Age of Autism about her ordeal, which began in 2005, in the hope of sparing others.

Dan: I thought I’d start by asking you where things stand now. How’s your health? How are you feeling at the moment about everything?
Lisa: The only lingering thing I have at this point is that if I do not take big doses of magnesium, my legs shake. And I mean muscle spasms, Charlie horses, twitches – think Parkinson’s shaking. I do feel my feet again after four years. I need to go shoe shopping because I only own sandals, and it’s cold this winter in Cincinnati, and if you feel your toes you can’t wear sandals in the snow.
Dan: Well, I guess that’s a good problem to have, considering what happened. Just to go over the basics, you got a monetary award from the vaccine injury compensation award program and it was how much?
Lisa: I am not allowed to tell but in all honesty the award would not have covered my medical bills. To me, it’s the validation – they can’t claim they don’t know what’s happening when they’re paying people.
Dan: And of course one thing we hear so much about, and it’s almost a cliché, is that correlation does not equal causation – in other words, "just because you got a flu shot and then got very sick doesn’t mean it caused it." But in this case, correlation was a very strong indication of causation.
Lisa: In my case, my neurologist said straight up, this is what caused it. So it’s very hard for them to say one doesn’t equal the other. You’re walking around, you’re perfectly healthy, you don’t even get colds. You have a flu shot and within two weeks you’re paralyzed, and paralysis is listed as a possible side effect.
Here’s one of the latest stories added to my website, LossOfBrainTrust.com NBC Nightly News gave the issue of nationwide classroom violence/room clears coverage, but they completely missed the real issue in their dismissive attitude in how to deal with situation.
We’re told that clearing classrooms because of out-of-control students has ‘become more common in the past decade,’ and one expert even calls for finding out ‘why that kid is acting that way,’ but NBC News has no interest in what’s really going on.
“Room clears” are the problem, not violent kids. (This practice is done here in my little town in Wisconsin, as I’ve been told by parents of elementary school students.)
NBC News calls for MORE MONEY and MORE MENTAL HEALTH SPECIALISTS. Dangerous students are normal and acceptable in today’s world, even as young as seven. (If we can casually watch the autism rate climb year after year, no questions ask, we will somehow learn to live with any type of dysfunctional child.
How long before things finally collapse under the strain? I’m not sure, but eventually they will.
One of the methods often used to control a child having a meltdown, “room clear” leaves the disruptive child in the classroom, while the other kids are moved out. The result can be classrooms torn apart, desk and tables upended.

BACKGROUND: Rotavirus vaccine has been funded for infants under the Australian National Immunisation Program since 2007, with Rotarix vaccine used in New South Wales, Australia, from that time. In 2017, New South Wales experienced a large outbreak of rotavirus gastroenteritis. We examined epidemiology, genotypic profiles, and vaccine effectiveness (VE) among cases.
METHODS: Laboratory-confirmed cases of rotavirus notified in New South Wales between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2017 were analyzed. VE was estimated in children via a case-control analysis. Specimens from a sample of hospitalized case patients were genotyped and analyzed.
RESULTS: In 2017, 2319 rotavirus cases were reported, representing a 3.1-fold increase on the 2016 notification rate. The highest rate was among children aged <2 years. For notified cases in 2017, 2-dose VE estimates were 88.4%, 83.7%, and 78.7% in those aged 6 to 11 months, 1 to 3 years, and 4 to 9 years, respectively. VE was significantly reduced from 89.5% within 1 year of vaccination to 77.0% at 5 to 10 years postvaccination. Equinelike G3P[8] (48%) and G8P[8] (23%) were identified as the most common genotypes in case patients aged ≥6 months.

New generation sequencing have become the preferred tool for in-depth analysis in the field of biology and medical science, especially high precision ones. Thanks to these tools, we can approach in a more modern and comprehensive way a number of applications such as de novo sequencing, metagenomic and epigenomic studies, transcriptome sequencing and genome re-sequencing.
This last one (re-sequencing) is largely used in human field, both for research and diagnostic purposes and consists of NGS - Next Generation Sequencing of an entire single genome, to map the Single Nucleotide mutations (SNP), insertions and deletions of more or less long sequences that have occurred in certain locations of the genome, and variations in the number of copies of genomic portions/genes (CNV, Copy Number Variants).
This procedure helps to understand the development mechanism of some pathologies, in order to identify the directions for a future clinical treatment as in the case of cancer for example. Indeed, by this method the genetic heritage of a cancer patient can be fully decoded in both normal and cancerous tissue, thus allowing us to comprehend what exactly has changed within the genome, and, if possible, how to intervene with targeted measures.
The re-sequencing procedure requires that the DNA of an individual is mechanically broken into small dimension fragments (400-500 base pairs) and artificial DNA parts named adapters are tied to these fragments; adapters make it possible to tie the human DNA fragments to a glass surface on which the bases reading (A, C, G, T) is performed. The DNA base pairs reading takes place by means of chemical reactions, namely the incorporation of nucleotides that have been marked by fluorescent molecules. The million sequences (reads) thus obtained are then mapped on the human reference genome by specific software and all the variants are identified comparing the analyzed genome with the reference genome.
This same procedure has been performed on the human genome in Priorix® Tetra lot n. A71CB256A, genome which belongs to cell line MRC-5 (of fetal origin); the work has been carried out by a company in the USA, that routinely deals with human genome re-sequencing analysis. *

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disorder. Rheumatoid factor (RF) and anti- citrullinated protein antibodies (ACPA) are known to play a role in RA. RF and ACPA origin is considered unknown.
Vaccines contain numerous residual proteins of food, animal, plant, fungal and bacterial origin, from the manufacturing process. Protein sequence analysis shows that 14 of 14 known RF autoepitopes differ from vaccine antigens by just one amino acid residue. The immune system’s cancer surveillance system looks for exactly such antigens. Cancer begins with a single DNA mutation where one base-pair is modified. Proteins encoded by this DNA segment will therefore also exhibit a single amino acid change. So such peptides with a single amino acid change (neoantigens) are strong markers for cancer and result in an anti-cancer immune response, when accompanied by innate immune system co-stimulation. With thousands of such proteins in vaccines, there is an overwhelming anti-cancer immune response following vaccine administration. The adjuvant or live virus in the vaccine provides the requisite innate immune system co-stimulation. Since cancer cells/proteins are very similar to normal cells/proteins, attacking cancer always carries the risk of autoimmunity (collateral damage). Therefore vaccines cause numerous autoimmune diseases by triggering unnecessary anti-cancer immune responses.
