JB Handley: NY Times Vaccine Science "Hostage" Op-Ed is a Gift
BY J.B. HANDLEY August 6, 2018
Please bookmark and read JB's blog each day - here's an excerpt of his take on the NYT op-ed that none of us can believe was published. You can pre-order his book How To End the Autism Epidemic here.
Underneath one of the more absurd cause-and-effect conjectures ever undertaken by a reporter lies a treasure-trove of truth about vaccine safety science. If the study results implicate vaccines, scientists are pressured to suppress.
NEW YORK, New York—I just got finished reading Melinda Wenner Moyer's Op-Ed in the New York Times, Anti-Vaccine Activists Have Taken Vaccine Science Hostage, and I must say that was one of the more unusual and contradictory pieces of journalism I've ever read in my time as an autism activist. While a casual reader may in some way leave the article thinking that "anti-vaccine activists" are ruining the party for everyone, I think many more will leave puzzled, confused, and suspicious.
On the one hand, Ms. Moyer tries to convince her reader of one of the more preposterous cause-and-effect relationships I've ever seen. Namely, she wants you to believe that the reason scientists studying the safety of vaccines are scared to publish negative results is because anti-vaccine activists will exaggerate or spin the results and scare the public. This strains credulity to the point that I think if you surveyed 1,000 people and asked this question:
You'd get 997 people to choose "A" and three people—Ms. Moyer, Dr. Paul Offit, and Dr. Peter Hotez—would choose "B." The pharmaceutical industry is the most financially powerful and ruthless commercial opponent the world has ever seen. I know that sounds dramatic, but consider the recent news that pharmaceutical executives knowingly conspired to create an opioid addiction epidemic. In their compelling critique, “The Opioid Epidemic: Fixing a Broken Pharmaceutical Market,” Harvard medical scholars Ameet Sarpatwari, Michael S. Sinha, and Aaron S. Kesselheim put the behavior of pharmaceutical companies in painful relief: READ MORE HERE.
Italian Senate Ends Mandatory Child Vaccination Law
The Italian senate overturned the country’s mandatory vaccination law Monday, effectively ending required vaccinations for children, according to the Financial Times. The law, which requires children to have 10 vaccinations before attending school, was originally implemented this March after measles cases spiked in the country. But the Five Star Movement and the League, two anti-establishment groups that formed a ruling coalition two months ago, campaigned on ending it—and with Monday’s 148-110 vote in the upper house of parliament, they are close to success. The overturning amendment must now be passed by the lower house; in the meantime, parents will not have to provide proof of vaccination before their children attend school. The amendment has drawn harsh criticism from other parties, who warn that Italy had over 4,000 more measles cases in 2017 than it did the year prior. A member of the nation’s Democratic party noted that this move puts Italy behind nations like France and Germany, which are increasing their vaccination programs, arguing that it has made the nation “a kind of Wild West in which the health of children will be left completely to the family.”

I really think that J.B.Handley should ask the New York Times to publish a rebuttal to this ridiculous Op-Ed piece. At the very minimum he should ask for a letter to the editor from him to be published. See what happens. It is worth a try I think. I love Handley's article and look forward to reading anything he writes but would love for a wider more general circulation to happen.

John, its not only what they say in private, its what underscores their thinking....and feeling.....and they are scared shitless, to borrow the words of Stephen Stills. They know the house of cards is crumbling and another science journalist has fallen down the rabbit hole. AoA could invite Ms Moyer to an in-depth interview exactly the kind of interview the Times would never give Andy Wakefield, Kennedy, Stone, Blaxil, Dachel, Rossi, Wright, Quackenboss, and all of the AoA writers or commenters.
I read a tiny fraction of the 805 comments and one commentor talked about "inconvenient truths".
Inconvenient truths about inconvenient [Offit-vaccine] science.

If this is what they say in public you can imagine what they say in private!

Yesterday I had this on my to-read list, but I did not get around to it. And so I'll hold off reading Mr. Handley's review until I do my own read, even though I am dying to peek at what Mr. Handley has to say.

Vaccination as a technology is a complete fairytale for idiots !
There is nothing to test for any longer, the whole industry is a complete scam.
A complete fraud.
A crime against humanity.
I see vaccination as a form of warfare aimed at young mothers globally.
All those involved in vaccination at the higher levels know this full well (making them all criminals).
I doubt there has ever been even a single life in the whole world ever saved by vaccination.
I cannot speak too low of vaccination, there are no excuses - there can be no apologies !

So the Times has blown its cover. Now they're openly admitting in print that vaccine safety is not being adequately studied: "Scientists are so terrified of the public’s vaccine hesitancy that they are censoring themselves, playing down undesirable findings and perhaps even avoiding undertaking studies that could show unwanted effects. Those who break these unwritten rules are criticized." Of course, in addition to the self-censorship, there is also the effective censorship carried out by pharma and the federal government, which are not going to grant money for researching possible problems with vaccines. The authors tries to assure us that the problems with vaccines that these scientists are trying to research aren't all that serious, but that raises the question: if these scientists are slammed and ostracized for researching minor and fixable problems with vaccines, what would happen to them if they found really major problems?

The negative light will be on the pharma puppet scientists .When the spotlight is turned on illuminating all the false science that has been developed to support the vaccine poisons whilst the babies died and were maimed.Pharma and all involved will have to answer and that day is coming approaching not at the speed of light but steadily and progressively for the public to see from darkness to light from poison to health.
