CDC Kaiser Permanente Measles Experiment: An Anniversary to Remember But Not Worth Celebrating
314 Revolving Door: Pharma "Scientists" Running for Office. "Wyeth Not?"

Open letter to Shaughnessy Naughton, Founder of 314 Action and Congressional Candidate Molly Sheehan:

Note from editorBy Anne Dachel

Dear Shaughnessy and Molly,

I’ve been reading about 314 Action and your goal of putting more scientists into political office. The coverage 314 Action has reached from the mainstream media has been extremely supportive. Two issues repeatedly talked about in connection with the PAC (political action committee) are global warming and vaccines.

My interest is in your position on vaccines. According to everything I’ve read, 314 Action is telling us we shouldn’t look into “the repeatedly proven safety of vaccines.”

Shaughnessy, you called Robert Kennedy, Jr. an “anti-vaccine propagandist.”

I would like to ask you if you’ve read the book he edited on his position, Thimerosal: Let the Science Speak.

With your focus on promoting scientific truth, you should be interested in the research that is compiled in this book. Your dismissal of Kennedy’s views as “anti-vaccine” is completely false since at every opportunity, he describes himself as “pro-vaccine,” having had all of his children fully vaccinated.

Shaughnessy and Molly, you both need to listen to what Kennedy had to say at a press conference in Washington on March 31st.  It was part of the Revolution for Truth Rally and a number of informed experts spoke.

The most troubling thing Kennedy addressed during his speech was the lack of authentic safety studies on vaccines and the glaring conflicts of interest between the vaccine safety division at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the vaccine companies they’re supposed to be regulating.

Kennedy had this to say:

“We’ve known for many years that the junk science, the tobacco science coming out of that department was crooked, and one of the reasons we knew was that the Institute of Medicine told them you got to do biological studies, clinical studies, animal studies, toxicological studies, pharmacological studies, cadaver studies—We want all of those.

“They didn’t do any of them. The only thing they did was epidemiological studies. …I know, from my profession, those are notoriously easy to fix. They’re population studies. You look at an exposed population and unexposed, and you look at health outcomes. … You can design an epidemiological study to prove that sex does not make you pregnant. How would you do that? You just get rid of all the pregnant people before you study the population. You have a lot of people having sex, and nobody’s getting pregnant, and you can prove sex doesn’t make you pregnant. And that’s what they did. It’s easy to get rid of the autistic kids, you just get rid of the boys. All you have to do is get rid of one or two of them in order to dim the statistical signal.

“So you get rid of the older kids, and you focus on younger populations before the diagnosis takes place. …You get rid of black kids because they’re more likely to get autism. You figure out ways to exclude the populations that you think are going to pose a higher risk. And that’s what they did.

Are supporters of 314 Action really promoting scientific truth or just more bad studies done at the behest of the vaccine makers? Will more scientists in public office simply expand the power and influence of corporations over our politics?

In June, 2015 the state legislature in California passed a law removing a parent’s right to exempt their child from mandated vaccines. This law was introduced by State Senator Richard Pan, himself a pediatrician.

There is more to the story. In an article in the Sacramento Bee on June 18, 2015 entitled, Drug companies donated millions to California lawmakers before vaccine debatereporter Jim Miller informed readers that California state legislators are on the receiving end a lot of pharma money.

“Pharmaceutical companies and their trade groups gave more than $2 million to current members of the Legislature in 2013-2014, about 2 percent of the total raised, records show. Nine of the top 20 recipients are either legislative leaders or serve on either the Assembly or Senate health committees. Receiving more than $95,000, the top recipient of industry campaign cash is Sen. Richard Pan, a Sacramento Democrat and doctor who is carrying the vaccine bill.”

Members of the public are well aware that experts in white coats are being paid to promote corporate agendas and  they use phony science to do it.

Molly, you said, “As scientists, we haven’t done a great job of speaking to things people are worried about right now.” In addition, you said you’re worried about what toxins your child might be exposed to.

Every parent I’m involved with wholeheartedly agrees with you. Toxic exposure should be especially important when it comes to vaccines. Parents are worried.

In an article in the UK Guardian article on March 18, 2017, you were also quoted saying,

‘I need to do everything in my power to ensure our country comes back to paying attention to reality and paying attention to fact’.

When it comes to vaccine safety and the explosion in autism, no one is paying attention to what’s going on. Scientists are happy to leave autism just one big mystery and vaccines safety in the hands of industry insiders.

You also said,‘[People] don’t realise that medical science has had a huge impact on child mortality and morbidity.’

I have to ask if you’re aware of just where the U.S. ranks in terms of infant mortality. No other country spends more on health care than the U.S. does, yet we have one of the highest levels of infant mortality among the world’s developed countries. No other country vaccinates at the rate we do.

Here are some things that you both should find especially troubling when it comes to vaccine safety:

The FDA allows vaccine makers to conduct much of their own safety testing. The FDA merely accepts the results. Furthermore, vaccines are tested individually, yet a child receives multiple vaccines in a single doctor's visit.  The CDC actually owns more than 20 vaccine patents. They are, in truth, a vaccine company.

There has never been a study done on the cumulative effects of the one-size-fits-every-child vaccine schedule in the U.S. What other medical product or procedure could possibly be considered safe for every child? Parents are truly playing "vaccine roulette" when they take their infants in to be vaccinated.

The FDA allows aluminum and mercury to be used in vaccines, yet neither toxic element has ever been tested for safety. (The one “study” on the mercury additive thimerosal was done by the vaccine maker Eli Lilly back in 1930. All the test subjects died of meningitis. This didn’t stop Eli Lilly from saying it was safe. No further testing was ever done.)

There isn’t incentive to produce a safe product since neither the vaccine makers nor the doctor has any liability for vaccine damage. They have been protected by federal law since 1986. They cannot be sued. Incidentally, the government's compensation program has paid out billions for vaccine injuries, including over 80 cases where the injured party became autistic as a result of vaccination.

No official has ever called for a simple comparison study of fully-vaccinated and never-vaccinated children. With so many parents now too afraid to vaccinate, the study group is out there. This would be the easiest way to show once and for all that vaccines are safe.

These facts challenge all your claims that vaccines are safe.

314 Action may have “more than 4,000 scientists” interested in “running for public office,” but if they’re just more vaccine industry spokespeople, they’re be recognized for who they really represent.

The truth is, we have the most vaccinated kids in the world and some of the sickest. Half of U.S. children suffer from at least one chronic health problem. Our schools are filled with children who can't learn, many who are non-verbal, others with diabetes, seizure disorder, behavioral problems, bowel disease, life-threatening allergies, and asthma. Health officials seem perfectly happy with the health of our kids. No one sees any of these as a crisis situation.

If 314 Action is advocating for the status quo to continue, your candidates will lose. You seem genuinely afraid that someone might honestly look into vaccine safety. The public is tired of hearing about tobacco industry-style vaccine science.

Brilliant, Anne.
