A Message To Cosmo's Jinny Suh Who Shames Parents of Vaccine Injured Children

In response to your article in Cosmo Vaccinations: Anti Vaxxers are Selfish on April 11, 2017, Jinny Suh, according to, the definition for selfish is devoted to or caring only for oneself; concerned primarily with one’s own interests, benefits, welfare, etc., regardless of others.  So, Jinny, I'm going to ask you a favor.  Can you please set your children on fire so mine can stay warm?  I'm going to need you to do that because it's the right thing to do.  It's what the other children in society need from your children.  It's what everyone expects of you, and you better do it or you risk being SELFISH.  I'm going to need you to put your singular parental instincts aside and do it for the betterment of the community.  Your child's heat will save others from freezing to death, so I'm going to ask you sacrifice your child so that others may live. 

What's that old saying?  Kill one and save a thousand?  But it matters not to you as long as that one is not yours?  Is this how it works in your world?  Because I can tell you that it was never my intention to sacrifice my child for your or anyone else's self-absorbed entitlement.  That somehow, my child, who is clinically diagnosed as VACCINE INJURED was put on this earth so that he could "take the fall" for you and your children so that you could feel safe in your imaginary immunity bubble or to be your fail-safe.  So, what am I supposed to do?  Keep his VACCINE INJURY a secret and say it was something else that caused his 14 different medical diagnoses or his developmental delays after everyone around us saw that he was born happy, healthy and meeting milestones? 

You see, when others hear about what happened to my son after "routine well-baby" visits, it makes them pause and think about the dreams and wants they have for their own children.  I'm pretty damn sure that none of them are thinking, "Well, Jinny Suh thinks I'm being selfish because I'm not setting my child on fire for her and her family so I'm going to go ahead and buy some matches."  What's selfish Jinny, is you. 

If you feel vaccinating your children is the right thing to do, then do it.  I won't tell you not to but know that your CHOICE could endanger the life of MY child.  Vaccinate your own children until they are green in the gills for all I care, but you don't get to lay a guilt trip on others for making choices that are right for their family and not yours.  You also don't get to play the moral police when you're not the one that cares for the child that is injured by the vaccine you EXPECTED someone else to do for you.  You don't get to tell another parent they are being selfish because you feel slighted or that their decision isn't for your benefit but for THEIR OWN FLESH AND BLOOD. 

And I don't care what degrees you have, you are not a god and you don't get to determine what another person believes is a proper sacrifice for you or society.  A quote from your article: "Now, if you were to ask any of my friends about me, they’d tell you, I’m one of the most supportive parents out there.  I believe in uplifting instead of judging, encouraging instead of tearing down.  For almost every parenting decision out there, I can either relate or at the very least, empathize with your reasons."  Except when I'm in the process of not being supporting, of judging, tearing down and not empathizing with a parents reasons, is the next line that you forgot.  And my "judgment nerve" gets seriously frayed when "sanctimommies" put on their hats and tell other parents what medical decisions and procedures should be made for other peoples’ interests.  Parents who do vaccinate run the risk of their child shedding live virus vaccinations to all those around them, even the ones who are immunocompromised and are too young to be vaccinated, but that's a scientific fact that those in the "biology" field over look or did you miss class that day?

Can you answer a question for me?  Can you tell me why it is that when a person who takes a few college courses in biology or chemistry or anatomy and physiology and gets some sort of "degree" how they suddenly become the most ingenious person in regards to the enigma that is the human body?  That they somehow possess the understanding to look inside of the obscure parts of the body that the rest of humanity can't possibly fathom?  The arrogance is jaw dropping and yours, is astounding. 

You make the statement that "vaccines are safe".  According to whom?  You?  The all-knowing god of biology?  Let me enlighten you, Ms. Suh.  Even the CDC admits that vaccines aren't safe and the Supreme Court of the United States of America has ruled them UNAVOIDABLY UNSAFE in accordance of the law.  If by "safe", you're referring to encephalitis, weakened immune systems, thrombocytopenic purpura in 1 in 40,000 children vaccinated with MMR alone...ok.  And those are just some of the dangers of vaccines but we'll go with that old mantra that bad things involving vaccines only happen to 1 in a million kids but that would be 960,000 off from their initial calculations, wouldn't it?  But hey, if you say they’re safe, let us all buy a box of matches.  I mean, what’s that whole National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program all about anyways? The over 3 billion dollars they have paid out, well, never mind, that’s not important at all. 

And I do find it amazing how you speak of “misinformed parents” as if some of those parents don’t have degrees of their own.  Like degrees as doctors.  Doctors who have the exact same degree has a "pro" vaccine doctor does.  Some have degrees in biology, law, business, as well as many others and are quite capable of reading a study just as well as you.  I’d sure like to know where all these uneducated masses are being that this country is over 1 trillion dollars deep in student loan debt.  As for herd immunity.  It does not exist, and it never has.  You know this.  Don’t pretend you don’t understand that the majority of the 330 million adults in this country are not “up-to-date”.  An example of unbelievable hubris, is to assume that one’s confidence in fallible science, that is ever changing and new discoveries are made every day, is the standard that all must follow. 

Since my son is part of that "herd" you speak so highly of and he's this way because I put the herd before him, can you extend your righteous mothering skills to my home and spend a couple hours with my child?  If you're so intent on protecting the herd, then there is no excuse for you not to help out the "herd".  The least you can do is help the FALLEN.  You chose not to see what others are suffering, this is not a mass hallucination.  Like myself, the parents who witnessed their children regress after vaccinations were not "anti-vaccine" nor were any of us SELFISH.  We did what we were asked to do by people like you and got the shit end of the stick.  And because we have made the CHOICE not to inject any more misery into our other children, you feel the need to call parents selfish and misinformed. 

You can close your eyes, think that this is not real or call them collateral damage or necessary loses but when you ignore them and you pretend that they don't exist, it doesn't stop the process.  Even IF vaccine injuries only happened to 1 in a million, are you THAT narcissistic to think that destroying one child and altering the course of their life is worth your "protection"?  And you call non-vaccination parents SELFISH???  Let’s go on to talk about selfishness, shall we?

Another quote from your article: “..... they seem to ignore the fact that choices have consequences and the choice not to vaccinate can hurt me, my family, and my loved ones.”

Go purchase that box of matches and cover your child in lighter fluid because “ME” wants this.  I don’t know Jinny, that sounds kind of selfish to ME. 

As for your baby boy, who I’m sure is the apple of your eye and all you want to do is protect him, he can still contract measles if your older son goes to kindergarten and brings home the live form of the measles virus from a recently vaccinated child.  Your own son could pass it along to him inadvertently because, in your haste to protect those who are immunocompromised (like my son who also attends public school) and who are too young to be vaccinated, you forgot to realize that live virus vaccinations DO, in fact, shed for, at the very least, 21 days post vaccination.  But I’m sure that will be some “anti-vaxxer, misinformed, selfish” parent’s fault too, right?  Psst, that whole shedding thing, yeah, that's a REAL thing.  You and I agree on one thing.  You are correct in the fact that whether a parent vaccinates or not, this is not a choice.  It is however, a RIGHT.  One that is afforded to me by my Creator and the Constitution by which all citizen govern themselves.  Your right to punch me or my children in the nose ends at the tip of our noses.  Our right to be free from assault and battery begins at the tip of our noses.  I have the RIGHT not to be psychologically or physically accosted by your selfish choices either.  In your case, Selfish is, as Selfish does.

Here's the deal bud. I don't care what you copy and paste about the MMR vaccine. The fact of the matter is that if even ONE child.....ONE CHILD....suffers any injury or death in an attempt to "wipe out" a disease then said vaccine has NOT done what it was intended to do. The point of my original post was to point out HYPOCRISY and this idea was apparently lost on you. If we're talking about being selfish, then BOTH side would be guilty, not just the ones who want the choice to make medical decisions for their children without being castigated. According to what you posted, you are also a firm believer that my child's brain damage, caused by vaccines, is what you needed and what you expected of our family. That you too have narcissistic tendencies like Ms. Suh. YOU also don't get to tell me that my child was a sacrifice that needed to be made for others. I will no longer tolerate that any parent should have to surrender their child for the betterment of others only to have those "others" discount and be deliberately and willfully oblivious and ignorant to what they are asking of another human being or to the pain some one has suffered in their stead.
The fact that you couldn't do anything but copy and paste the chant of the pharma industry tells me that you are just as self absorbed as Ms Suh is in her little ego bubble. I do hope there is enough room in there for both of you.

Timothy M Craig. I find it difficult to believe that you could believe all the 'facts' you have posted. With just a few minutes research you would have found that Andrew Wakefield was the 'fall guy' to 'prove' the the innocent, vulnerable public that there is no link between MMR and autism.

If you had bothered to do you research, you would have found that there were 13 authors of the Lancet paper and they all signed it. You would also know that Dr Wakefield only suggested the single vaccine while necessary research was carried out. You would have found out that the UK Health authorities then pulled the single vaccines and did not carry out that research. Also, that Professor Walker-Smith appealed in the Court and got his licence back, with a few harsh words from the Judge about the General Medical Council. Dr Wakefield's insurance did not cover the cost of an appeal.

As my son. who has 2 sons with brain injury from the MMR said, 'They (the UK Government/Health authorities) have dug themselves a hole so big, they just have to keep on digging and digging to keep the truth from the general public'.

I would suggest that you either do more research before posting on this site in future - or stick to sites that may believe your propaganda.

Something that caught my eye -- Your vaccine-injured child has 14 different medical diagnoses? My vaccine-injured child has 13. This is another aspect of vaccine injury that needs to shouted out for pro-vaxxers to hear...the extremely complex MULTIPLE medical issues vaccine injury produces!

Another thing vaccine pushers claim: We're selfish because we rely on herd immunity to protect our kids instead of getting them vaccinated.

Honestly, if vaccines actually did work and had NO side effects, I would consider it no great effort to cart my son to the doctor's office for another round.

And people like that totally miss the point--a lot of us don't vaccinate (or have stopped) because we've found out that they do NOT work, that vaccination is nothing short of quackery. Not vaccinating is far healthier than treating them as pincushions.

My son hasn't had a vaccine since he was 2. I think we kept him from going further down the autism rabbit hole by not vaccinating him at 5, then at 12. In fact I still believe we're pulling him further and further out.

One thing I've been doing is giving him Behavior Balance (find it here, you can get it in liquid form too: ). This works for my 15-year-old son. I have had people tell me that his speech and language have been picking up and he makes more sense, he's starting to talk in sentences more, and he's having fewer meltdowns because now he is TELLING me if he's upset rather than throwing a tantrum. I think I'm able to better communicate with him.


Judy, thank you from the bottom of my heart. We have a moral obligation to keep pushing back Big Pharma and educating people about the dangers of vaccines. When someone says that anti-vaxxers are the reason for come back of some diseases, you know immediately they have not done a single bit of research into the issue whatsoever. Pro-vaxxers don't realize that most of us anti-vaxxers were once pro, but that our love and concern for children - not just our own, but the world's children - brought us to a point where we began to have questions and began looking for answers. Debate means we look at both sides of an issue, and you'll see that many pro-vaxxers refuse to do that. If they did, they would have to change pretty much everything they believed about the world and that's scary. Looking at both sides of the issue of vaccines is the ONLY way to make an educated decision.

Mikhail; I am completely with Trudy on paragraph 2. Suh is a journalist, and yet she somehow "forgot" to even give a nod to vaccine injury? Honestly, the attitude of "it didn't happen to me, so I am going to pretend it doesn't happen to other people" is seriously unattractive, and extremely common among people who should imo know better.
Having a discussion about non vaccinators being selfish, while ignoring the fact ( and it is a fact, acknowledged by the CDC ) that some children will be maimed or die from those shots, is imo seriously offensive.
I really don't have much time for people trying to force shots on everyone while ignoring that in some cases, what they are advocating for may well kill or injure a susceptible child.
What is offensive is the fact that this is happening, not that Trudy is writing about it. Just my two cents.

I think Trudy's analogy is perfectly worded. Strong words are needed to shock the world into action. Too many parents don't see what their apathy has permitted to occur, and they must wake up before they, their children, and everyone they love are forcefully vaccinated at the whim (and joy, and profit) of the vaccine industry and its "faithful," but ungodly minions.

You're not going to approve this post, I'm sure. But I just wanted to point out that maybe, just maybe, you should consider a better analogy. I get you hate vaccines, but saying vaccinating your kid is the same as setting your kid on fire is wrong for many reasons.


Get this: Most adults are not "up-to-date" on "our" vaccines. Yet the outbreaks are primarily among kids, most of whom were vaccinated.

The last vaccine I got was in 2001 for tetanus, it was required if I was to have this surgery on my ankle (looking back I should've done neither) and a couple months later my son was conceived. I sometimes wonder if this didn't affect him somehow, or contribute.

I posted the link to this article over on Jinny's personal FB page, and in a hot minute I will do the same over at the ImmunizeTX page, where she is "lead" . . . fairly certain my posts will be deleted . . . maybe YOURS won't, folks? ;-)



So… although nothing has happened to Suh’s children, she still selfishly co-opts the anger to which only the vaccine-injured are truly entitled. How galling that she patronizes smugly from her pedestal, oblivious to her own ignorance of vaccine adverse reactions and their devastating effects on victims, families and society.

Here Trudy ably proves she has her finger on the actual pulse of the vaccine injury community. If only Suh, Cosmo and other publications’ staff would step out of their plastic fantasy worlds to see what’s really happening in our denialist society: too many sick and hurting children, too many struggling parents, overloaded special ed departments, inadequate human services.

I hope we see more writing from Trudy here at AofA, and from parents like her whose firsthand experiences provide honest autism reporting instead of evasive pharma-funded illusions that perpetuate human miseries.

... "selfish" sure doesn't seem to be the right word for people who do their own investigation and decide not to comply with pharma-health dictates from CDC et al, "wiser" maybe ("sadder but wiser" all too often).


There are so many vitally important statements in Trudy Snyder's message to Jinny Shuh that the entire message should be shared with every single person we know. It needs to go viral. Perhaps this particular message will be what opens the eyes of those blinded to the truth, so they can see the offensive and unjustified arrogance of so many in public health and in medicine, which is both glaring and dangerous. I do not understand the VITRIOL aimed at those who choose not to vaccinate Yes, there is someone out there saying “BECAUSE YOU ARE PUTTING MY CHILD AT RISK!!” I'm not convinced that's true, but even if it were, as risks go, it’s an extraordinarily small risk. There are so much bigger risks for your children in this world! The teenager that drives recklessly? He or she is a much bigger risk! The idiot that texts and drives? MUCH BIGGER RISK! The agencies that approve of the herbicide Enlist Duo even though scientists worldwide acknowledges how harmful it is? MUCH BIGGER RISK! Guns in the house? MUCH BIGGER RISK! Cords on the window blinds? Much bigger risk! Lead in the paint? Much bigger risk! Neighbour with a pool? Much bigger risk! Why is it that I don’t hear the same level of unleashed ANGER toward people who want to subject your children to these risks? Remember that measles outbreak at Disney? Nobody died. Yes, several people were uncomfortable for a few weeks. Remember the ranting mom whose Facebook post went viral about how evil anti-vaxers are? Her child never got a vaccine preventable illness. One of her children was at risk because he may have come into contact with someone with measles. She was inconvenienced for a couple of weeks. In the end, he never got the measles. Another of her children died from an illness that is not vaccine preventable.
Do you really want the pharmaceutical industry and the government choosing what you inject and when you inject it into your child’s body without your consent, or scrutiny? Do you really think they have been such infallible sources of righteousness that they can be trusted without question?
Let’s face it – None of us got vaccines for the greater good. We got them for ourselves and our children because we were thinking of our own benefit. If you think you can convince someone to do something for the greater good, even if she believes that it will harm her own children, you’re wrong. You’re only finding a reason to justify your hate!


I think this is a wonderful rebuttal and at least we should ask Cosmo to publish it and make it known that a of a will publish their response. After all many many readers according to polls feel otherwise. Let's invite them to publish this piece and see where it goes. I feel it is worth a try.

Holy cow, I'm not often speechless, but after reading Trudy's letter I may not utter another word all day. I want Trudy on my team, that's for sure. And the good news is - she is! The number of kids affected is a lie. Anthony Fauci gets on TV every 3 months to say its one in a million. Well, he's lying. There's a couple in every class in America and if he would actually go to an elementary school he could observe this. They're not sacrificing one in a million, they're sacrificing 1 in 10.

Vaccine court has consistently denied autism over time since its not a "table injury". Unless your child dies in the doctor's office or you have mega resources for lawyers, forget vaccine court, the DOJ lawyers will eat you alive. The walking wounded are not compensated.

For herd immunity and protection for kids who cannot vaccinate, I think each vaccine needs to be looked at separately. Endangering my newborn to "protect" him from a Hepatitis B, a sexually transmitted disease is not the government's right. Measles vaccinations are exceedingly dangerous while measles itself is not life threatening in most cases. We can go on, however, the merits and risks of each vaccine need to be evaluated....and not by Merck or anyone who makes money by injecting them.

Of course Cosmopolitan publishes Jinny Sun, but would never publish Trudy's response.

Sun has been "imprinted" that vaccines have saved the World, and she will never, never change even if presented with hundreds of medical scientists' articles documenting the huge percentage (close to 50%) of all our U.S. children being permanently DAMAGED by vaccines' toxicities.

Suh is the perfect pro-vaccine dogmatist oblivious to the carnage she unwittingly ignores as she proudly proclaimed she dropped her initial pediatrician who was respectful of parents who declined vaxxing THEIR babies and children.
