Jeff Piraro of Bizarro Cartoon Denies and Ridicules Vaccine Injury

Bizarro
By Kim Stagliano

God in heaven will you just look at this cartoon. Jeff Piraro, whose Bizarro has been a staple of newspapers (ha ha remember those) forever has decided to attack, make fun of, deny, ridicule, shame, abuse and basically sh*t on families like mine. Like yours. Like countless thousands of families for whom vaccine injury lead to brain injury that lead straight to an autism diagnosis like the yellow brick road leads to Oz - the PRISON, not the magical land of unicorns and mermaids.

Cartoons as political (and now pharma) propaganda are nothing new.  And they aren't always terrible.  They offer a concise way to let characters we know and love share information.  They can also serve a purpose for governments trying to propagate, dare I say it, myths that protect money, power, influence, agendas.

I invite you to leave a comment telling Mr. Pirarro ONE truly "bizarro" thing about autism in your home.  I'll compile them and add them to this post.   And I'll start first.

1) My 22 year old carries reams of paper with Charlie Brown cartoons on them (oh the irony.)
2) My 20 year old can not leave the house if she knows "The Wonder Pets" is on Nick Jr.
3) My 16 year old has never uttered a sentence and shakes beads in front of her face most of the day.

Bizarro World? You want to come to see Bizarro World? Any of us would open our doors to you, so that you could meet and fall in love with our vaccine injured kids.   I want to scream at him and call him ugly names, but I won't.  Instead, I'll try to educate him into realizing we are are real men and women, Moms and Dads facing the unreal challenges of helping our kids with vaccine induced autism SURVIVE, let alone thrive.

To reduce us to a single cartoon that denies our existence is cruel beyond measure. We deserve an apology.

"To reduce us to a single cartoon that denies our existence is cruel beyond measure. We deserve an apology." Dear Mr Piraro, I would like to tell you about my autistic grandson, now in his mid twenties. His problems began when he was administered the MMR vaccine at a year old. He was six years old when he was referred by his GP to renowned Paediatric Gastroenterologist, Professor John Walker-Smith at the Royal Free Hospital, London, for his dangerously impacted bowel problems. The excellent treatment he received, from Professor Walker-Smith's team, including clinical colleague, Professor Simon Murch, almost certainly saved his colon, if not his life. 'How could you let him get into this state?', was the admonition, although there was no advice about how to prevent it. Indeed, professional treatment was needed for her son's condition. Yes - parents of vaccine damaged children soon learn they will always get the blame for their childrens' ill health. They also become accustomed to insults, vilification and nasty insinuations, including cartoons like yours. As far as I am aware, neither my daughter nor her son ever met Dr Andrew Wakefield at the Royal Free Hospital, and why should they have? Dr Wakefield's research team was based in laboratories, well away from clinical treatment facilities. This did not stop the General Medical Council, egged on by UK Health Minister John Reid (now Lord) , and Murdoch's Sunday Times via Brian Deer, from dragging these two excellent Clinicians before a protracted 3 year hearing (costing an estimated £8million), alongside Dr Wakefield. All three were found guilty, but Professor Murch was 'permitted' to keep his medical licence, being junior to Professor Walker Smith, who had been retired for nearly 10 years before his now obsolete in any case Licence to Practise was withdrawn. Three years later, a High Court Judge took three days to 'quash' all the GMC charges and completely exonerate Professor Walker-Smith, restoring his medical licence. The Professor, in his memoir, called the GMC process an 'inquisition'. In medieval times they would all have been tortured and burnt at the stake for 'heresy' , since vaccines have now become a religion, never to be questioned, and fanatically patrolled by the 'thought police', financed by political and corporate interests. My unfortunate grandson is in constant pain and has to be very careful about his diet. He also has epilepsy. He never complains. The autism is the least of it.

Cherry,

How about just changing the wording in Piraro's cartoon to the mermaid saying, "I'd like everyone to welcome our newest member to the group, the vaccine that doesn't harm anyone."

Cmon everyone, Two can play this game. let the AUTISM FORCE strike back ! I had always wished for a cartoon contest on Age of Autism, so that I could enter my favorite:
Depict two aliens peering out at the Earth for the first time. They are looking at a big city , maybe New York. One of the tall buildings has the sign for a hospital. (Maybe its the Hospital of the Immaculate Vaccine) One of the aliens points with his long bony finger, whispering," Look, Ollie, A primitive civilization in which they poison their young with mercury on the day they are born"

A clumsy attempt to shame anyone who dare question pharma's agenda. This kind of propaganda, combined with all the censorship on Twitter and Facebook these days, is actually alarming people. I am heartened to see more and more young people get what's happening. Like globalism, this attempt to control will fail.

This cartoon appears to be part of a public relations push to categorize vaccine-caused autism as a bit of folklore, a product of "folk epidemiology." In an article recently published here, "Debunk Translated," we learned of a folklorist in an English department being interviewed about this quaint belief of our tribe.

Ask mr. google about "folk epidemiology vaccines."

Sue M

The problem with that cartoon (well, one of many) is that there is only ONE vaccine on that chair. So technically, it's the truth. It's not that ONE vaccine causing autism. It's the synergy of many, in many cases.

Maybe Mr. Pirraro needs to get up to speed on the actual science. Send him this study:

Excerpt:
Mitochondrial abnormalities
"New literature suggests a link between mitochondrial dysfunction and ASDs. This association has been recognized in persons with autistic behaviors and loss of speech after a febrile illness or immunization with subsequent encephalopathy."

and i have come to the definite conclusion that it is both genes and environment, but not the mmr vaccine.

What genes are those ? And exactly what parts of the environment(...excluding the MMR) are those genes interacting with to cause autism?

http://www.naturalblaze.com/2017/03/vitamin-c-10-times-effective-killing-cancer-stem-cells-pharmaceuticals.html

Big news! A new study by UK scientists openly claims that vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is more potent than some pharma drugs at killing cancer stem cells – the pervasive cells that “seed” new cancer cells, feed fatal tumors and often evade treatment.

The study, published in Oncotarget, is the first evidence that supports that vitamin C be used to target and kill cancer stem cells (CSCs).

More info on how it works. NYR Natural News reported [emphasis added]:
Vitamin C has previously been shown to be effective as a non-toxic anti-cancer agent in studies by Nobel Prize winner Linus Pauling and was recently shown to reduce mortality by 18% on breast cancer patients in Japan. However, its effects on CSC activity have not been previously evaluated and in this context, say the researchers, it behaves as an inhibitor of glycolysis, which fuels energy production in mitochondria, the “powerhouse” of the cell.

This will backfire actually. The vaccine that causes autism makes victims still believe in all the other ones. My 16 year old still plays with Elmo/ So there, Pizarro. That's why the vaccine attended the party.

Would he do a cartoon 300 years ago ridiculing that oranges prevented scurvy? People laughed at that. What invisible thing could prevent scurvy? No way. Or that not washing hands could cause childbirth fever? Or that drinking and driving could kill? He is a bozo and his cartoon is cruel.

Because "science"

He took a cheap shot. But the more of them you get, the less cheap they become. They don't just cause autism. Anyone priced Alzheimer's lately?

I would suggest the punishment for this is built in. Most people who take it this far are true believers and will stubbornly take their own medicine because it bought them license.

Aaron

It was funny to make fun of thalidomide victims too before their anecdotal claims were bequeathed legitimacy from business people who were compelled to accept responsibility for their at best mistake, at worst indifference. You're on record as grossly indifferent to vaccine injured families. Aside from being politically incorrect, it is a weak, cliche, crass and crude insult to your entire industry of true comic strip illustrators. You want the respect of others more so than creating toilet tank joke books? Act the part then. Why stop at jabbing autisic kids, why not do a fat joke, a homo joke, a racist joke, a religious joke?

Kathryn

I left this comment under the cartoon but he likely won't publish it.

"How do you explain the thousands of parents who watched their children descend into brain damage and what the vaccine injury court describes as ” Autism Like Syndrome”? How do you explain 3.5 billion awarded to victims of vaccine injury? Or thousands of videos of children speaking, walking, growing perfectly normal then regressing immediately post vaccine? How do you explain all that? Big old massive fairy tale or myth right? See… you don’t have to explain it or live it. You just get to use your media platform to ridicule them while fellow humans struggle with a tragedy that is the last acceptable target of hate speech as demonstrated by your cartoon. If you have the balls to mock disabled people then I hope you have the balls to let this comment stand."

Pirraro,
My son lost all speech , eye contact, and started having seizures within 6 weeks of the MMR vaccine.
He had diarrhea for 3 years.
He couldn't smile for 4.
He's never made a friend.
He lost his right eye and can't do sports.
He was bullied in school relentlessly.
He had to go to 500 speech therapy appointment.
He loves Calvin & Hobbs, not your piece of trash cartoon.

Easy.
Cartoon with journalists sitting in an open circle, all with dollars falling out of their stuffed pockets. They all have a long nose with shady, psychopathic eyes. Some are dressed as clowns, some as gangsters, some as thieves, and the last one Piraro, with a pointy hat that says "DUNCE".

Niki,

I read Dr. Wakefield's Callous Disregard, and was struck by his case histories of the Lancet 12. In case after case after case, they were developing normally until they got the MMR (in one case the separate measles vaccine), and then within days or weeks they developed the symptoms of bowel disease and autism. One mother resisted vaxxing her second son after the first reacted to it with autism, but everyone scoffed at her, and she finally gave in and vaxxed her second son, and he immediately developed autism.

The MMR can cause severe conditions affecting every system in the body, including encephalitis and death. Measles as a disease is usually relatively mild (it does need to be appropriately nursed and must absolutely be respected) and confers many benefits, including the ability to protect future infants and protection from many diseases and cancers in later life, as it is unsurpassed in training the immune system. It can cause death in one to three cases in every 10,000. To me that seems very low, but it's certainly a potential risk which parents must consider. It should be left up to the parent, but it's beyond doubt that the MMR causes autism in a huge number of children. In my daughter's case, it was the hep-B vaccine and the DTaP booster: the MMJR is certainly not the only vaccine which causes autism. And the three diseases are usually mild in children and very beneficial. Although girls, if they're unable to get natural rubella, will need to consider their options if they don't get natural rubella before their childbearing years.

Editorial cartoons are tailor-made for today's ADD society. And they're difficult to argue against on equal footing -- most people lack similar drawing skills, so instead it's words against potentially quite powerful images.

Cartoons also sum up what's wrong with vaccine injury investigation -- journalists stop partway through their research when they hit the wall of cognitive dissonance. Cartoonists like Piraro, Steve Sack and others illustrate visceral imagery, feelings rather than facts... which is exactly what PR/advertising aims at. "Arouse in the other person an eager want," as Dale Carnegie said in his classic book "How To Win Friends and Influence People." Piraro callously incites viewers to heap scorn on vaccine-injury victims and their caregivers.

Among the many disappointments dumped on vaccine-injury families, the betrayal by journalists has perhaps been the most bitter. These should be society's front-line soldiers in the information wars, yet most are either missing in action or turned mercenary for the side with the most money and power.

Splitting MMR up was exactly what Andrew Wakefield originally advised (only you can't do it anymore because the British government immediately removed the option and the individual vaccines are no long manufactured anyway). Also it was obviously significantly less dangerous if delayed - as they found out wth the DeStefano/Thompson paper before they destroyed the evidence, ot tried to - so I am glad Natasha Cambell advocates that as well. I don't know why she advises these things if she does not believe MMR can cause neurological impairment. Nor am I sure why you would choose to ignore the experiences of other parents, just because it does not fit in with a government agenda. How do you know what happened in these cases?

I just realised that Natasha Campbell is Natasha Campbell-MacBride whi is certainly know as vaccine critic.

Ted Kuntz

Tragic how our children and families are vilified by those who refuse to see the truth.

Jeannette Bishop

I suppose the CDC scientists that ran data comparison of doses of just one vaccine ingredient, finding 7- 11 times increased risk for higher dosing, and then comparing simply timing of one combination vaccine, also finding elevated risks getting it earlier (i.e on time) for a couple (or more) groups must have thought leprechauns were playing around with their data. That just can't be right therefore we must manipulate away these risks!!! OK, that's enough research!!! No more need to look into this further! We've studied this enough!

And apparently in the same vein, we must make fun of increased reports of problems with the accelerated, burgeoning, liability free, mandated pharma-profit founding product delivery schedule with a history of corrupt scientific practices backing it (and fear), especially as no one is pointing out the accelerated, burgeoning, liability free, corrupted scientific nature of the vaccine schedule except those we are told not to listen to!!! Vaccines disabling children for life...ha, ha, ha!!! Yeah, that's how you'll fix the dissonance! Cover ears, eyes, and laugh!

Anyone know how to send him a picture of how to catch up an infant "behind" on their vaccines? To me that's picture perfect evidence we've been living in bizarro land outside of his comics for some time.

kws

"Because if it hasn't happened to him yet, it's just a matter of time."

so true Barry.

It may have hit him already and he doesn't even realize it. A loving grandmother or parent who slid into dementia and nobody knows why. Usually these insults hit the young and the old particularly hard and that's exactly what we're seeing.

Jeff Piraro, like most people in the media, has never bothered to look into the vaccine controversy. He just accepts, as they all do, that there can’t be a connection between vaccines and something autism in children. Ridiculing those who cite a link is the politically correct thing to do.

I’m sure Piraro thinks he’s satirizing the obvious: Vaccines are safe; those that say otherwise are a joke.

Of course Piraro couldn’t possibly discuss this topic beyond saying, “Studies show no link,” because he has, I’m sure, no idea of the arguments raised by those who question vaccine safety.

Piraro most likely has never looked into ……..

…Hannah Poling and asked why experts at HHS conceded her claim of vaccine-induced autism.

…the 83 compensated cases of vaccine injury that included autism as a side effect.

…the failure of the government to ever call for a vaccinated/unvaccinated study to show just as much autism among the unvaccinated.

…the claims of a whistleblower at the CDC that he was ordered to destroy research showing a link between vaccines and autism.

…the Danish researcher who is wanted for stealing more than a million dollars from the CDC and whose studies are used by the government to show no link between vaccines and autism.

…the mounting authentic, independent science that raises serious concerns about vaccine safety.

…the use of toxic mercury and aluminum in vaccines, despite the fact they’ve never been tested or approved by the FDA.

…the failure of the government to ever study children who were healthy and normally developing, but who mysteriously regressed into autism following routine vaccination.

…how the government indemnified the vaccine industry which left them able to produce a liability-free product that can be mandated on the population.

No, I’m sure Piraro has no idea what this controversy is all about. Since when has the press honestly covered this topic?

(Personally, I think the myth that should be joining the group is the “better diagnosing—autism has always been here” claim. The media loves that one too. Maybe for his next cartoon Piraro could convince us that toxic mercury is safe when injected into babies and pregnant moms. I'm sure we'd all get a kick out of that.)

I don't know why a vaccine causing brain damage is being presented as an instance of absurdity. It has even been stated by US government officials.

Here is Julie Gerberding before she took the revolving door to Merck's vaccine division on CNN:

“Now, we all know that vaccines can occasionally cause fevers in kids. So if a child was immunized, got a fever, had other complications from the vaccines. And if you’re predisposed with the mitochondrial disorder, it can certainly set off some damage. Some of the symptoms can be symptoms that have characteristics of autism."

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0803/29/hcsg.01.html

And here are HHS HRSA officials talking to journalists Sharyl Attkisson and David Kirby on different occasions:

"The government has never compensated, nor has it ever been ordered to compensate, any case based on a determination that autism was actually caused by vaccines. We have compensated cases in which children exhibited an encephalopathy, or general brain disease. Encephalopathy may be accompanied by a medical progression of an array of symptoms including autistic behavior, autism, or seizures."

I think you make the best point of anyone .
This is surely a "hate" crime of sorts .
To ridicule the vaccine injured seems quite a low thing to do to me !

Bill

Isn't the whole vaccine scheme in fact a subtly-disguised neo-Malthusian de-population campaign, disguised as "public health"....????....
Also, in Piraro's cartoon, we see "Bigfoot", a leprechaun, a mermaid, and a unicorn. They are all supposedly imaginary living creatures. A "vaccine" is not a living creature. But wait, don't at least some vaccines contain live viruses? And aren't viruses living "creatures", of a sort? So, I guess Piraro is saying that injecting live viruses is the same thing as injecting unicorns or mermaids. I'm thinking that both Bigfoot and leprechauns would be very difficult to inject.
Hopefully, Piraro will do some reading on the long, sordid, and very financially profitable-for-a-few saga of vaccines.....
Happy Thursday, my friends!

Brett Wilcox

Bizarro's cartoon is the result of government sponsored, culturally sanctioned hate speech against one of the most dangerous of all minority groups: the vaccine injured and dead.

Rebecca Lee

Yeah. We got a cartoon like that in Seven Days, a local Vermont paper. If I remember, there was a child in a coffin because she hadn't got vaccinated. The worst part is quite recently before that an actual local child died from a flu shot.
I commented, but it didn't get printed. It does make you angry.

Trina

I actually cut this out of the newspaper yesterday and I could not believe that someone would make so light of our kids - a cartoon? How would you feel seeing your son act in a way that he has not acted since he was little now that he is struggling with his teenage hormones and autism? Know anyone who has autism? Probably not to make a joke like you did.

NIKI KAPETANOU

i am also a granny of an autistic boy of 6, my son's elder son, but i am not sure the author of the article is right.
she is attacking the cartoonist as if it is his fault that her grandson has autism, while all the cartoonist says is that the vaccine, mmr, is not to blame for autism.
i agree.
i have done my homework, for some two years, on the cause of autism, genes or environment, cos i have another grandson, my autistic one's younger brother, who has no autism and who has NOT received the mmr vaccine, so my and my son's and his wife's concerns are around the possible danger of mmr on our younger little one.
so, my conclusion, after having read MANY articles on the issue of the blame for autism as cause, genes or environment, and i have come to the definite conclusion that it is both genes and environment, but not the mmr vaccine.
finally, i came to realize that the said triple vaccine has its dangers but they are so minimal in comparison with the dangers of at least one of these three diseases, that common sense demands that all children be vaccinated by mmr vaccine, but this should be done as late as possible, most probable before the child is due to go to real school, at its age of 6, or, at least, not before it makes three years old.
i am not saying this on my own, i have read many articles that support this or the opposite side of the dilemma and some books, notably of NATASHA CAMPBELL, a neurologist with a practice in Oxford, UK who has/had an autistic son who she treated and claims cured from autism. apart from many other issues that doctor Campbell addresses in her very good book on autism, she advises the parents of an autistic child who also have a younger, non autistic child, to do vaccinate the healthy child, but to do it as late as possible and if possible with a mmr vaccine which would be broken in three, by vaccinating the child each time from one of the three diseases present in the joint mmr vaccine, with at least a month in between.
so, the cartoonist is not ridiculing the autistic children and their parents, s/he is ridiculing people who believe in the crap that only the mmr vaccine is to blame as cause of autism, not wanting to know of scientific finds of many genes of the autistic child present in it, all of them inherited by one or both of the child's parents, especially from the mother, this lady here is the mother of the mother of her autistic grandson, cos the mother had the child in her organism for 9 lunar months. her organism may have as well brought something in the picture of autism of the child, especially her maybe low friendly bacteria in her gut and possibly vagina, if ever her now autistic child passed through it, or otherwise was taken out from her womb by cesarean without having had the priceless opportunity to pick the good bacteria from there by its mouth, nostrils and eyes wet soft skin in there.
and now she blames the vaccine only, cos she probably understands that these bad genes, like the sensitive or something chromosome eks must have come from her daughter or her son in low, and if from the daughter, which is much more probably but from the child's father, then the bad genes came from HERSELF, the mother of the mother, the one who wrote this article....

Lori

So, Mr. Pirarro... here's ONE truly "bizarro" thing about autism in our home: my 12 year old who cannot verbally express a single emotion has permanent callouses on the backs of his hands from 10 years of biting them out of frustration.

I'd be interested to see what his cartoons look like, after a child close to him gets maimed by a vaccine.

Because if it hasn't happened to him yet, it's just a matter of time.

And this insulting cartoon that he just produced, is going to be part of the reason why the madness wasn't stopped in time to avoid it.

Hans Litten

What Jeff Pirraro knows about vaccination you could write in that square he drew that cartoon .
And I am sure the cartoon itself would not be defaced by his knowledge .
