Groundbreaking Yale Study Links Vaccines and Numerous Brain Disorders In Children
NOTE: Surely you've already seen this on ABC News, and Morning Joe and Fox and Friends, right? Wait, it's Valentine's Day, not April Fools. From Yale that bastion of anti-vaccine woo. K
From David Wolfe's site:
Groundbreaking Yale Study Links Vaccines and Numerous Brain Disorders In Children
groundbreaking new study has found a significant correlation between flu vaccines and a variety of mental disorders.
Conducted by researchers at Pennsylvania State and Yale University, the study sought to determine “whether antecedent vaccinations are associated with increased incidence of obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD), anorexia nervosa (AN), anxiety disorder, chronic tic disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, major depressive disorder, and bipolar disorder in a national sample of privately insured children.”
The results were striking: children who’d received the Flu vaccine within the last year “were also associated with incident diagnoses of AN, OCD, and an anxiety disorder.”
For those who’ve done their research on the topic, none of this is surprising. The notion that autism, in some cases, may be triggered by vaccinations is nothing new, and even the current President has echoed such views:
Healthy young child goes to doctor, gets pumped with massive shot of many vaccines, doesn’t feel good and changes – AUTISM. Many such cases!

However, for the so-called “skeptics”, a Yale University-sponsored study suggesting a link between vaccines and cognitive disorders may help persuade more of the public to our side.... Read more here.
If the vaccine is so wonderful. Then if your child is vaccinated, you shouldn't care if my child isn't. YOUR child is protected - right? So, why do you care if I choose to not have mine vaccinated? It's my child. My responsibility - not yours. They used to treat illness with Mercury... Then they realized it was bad, can't even get a thermometer with it anymore. Used to make water pipes with lead...
So, if I - the parent decide it's in my child's best interest to Not be vaccinated. Why do YOU care? Yours IS, therefore cannot get it.
Unless, you are just trying to control me, and my family....

This is amusing. Apparently, people don't actually read the studies they reference. Here is the last paragraph of the study referenced above:
"The present study has the potential to extend our knowledge about the role of the immune system in some pediatric-onset neuropsychiatric disorders. However, our findings do not demonstrate a causal role of vaccination in the pathoetiology of any of these conditions. This is especially important given the clear public health benefits of the timely administration of vaccines in preventing mortality and morbidity (38). Vaccines are among the most successful and cost-effective preventive public health interventions (39). Vaccination has led to eradication of smallpox, and we are close to the eradication of poliomyelitis across the world. Since most of the vaccine-preventable diseases are contagious from person to person, the increase in numbers of vaccinated individuals will decrease the chance of a disease to spread. Proper vaccination not only protects our generation but also protects future generations against epidemics of diseases. It should always be kept in mind that vaccines are crucial for eradicating infectious diseases and preventing the higher rates of morbidity and mortality due to infections. However, care should be taken to ensure that children scheduled to receive vaccinations are in good health and that recommended precautions are taken at the time a vaccine is to be

Thank you. From here to David Wolfe to CMSRI to the study here:

They seem to need peer reviewers knowledgeable enough of existing data (re Dr. William Thompson) to not let the opening sentence through.
Apparently, the flu vaccine can be acknowledged as having some risks of "modest magnitude" (is that because they target adults for flu vaccine uptake?) though they (as in a "discredited" paper) state this does not prove causation (nor does it this data indicate the possible overall risk all vaccination may in combination contribute to these conditions, but that goes without saying, I guess).
