Dachel Wake Up: Autism Increased in CA.. Again... So?

Dachel Morning Wake UoHere are two Sacramento Bee stories, six months apart. It's really proof that no matter how bad the numbers, no matter how lame that explanation, nothing will ever change: autism is never a crisis, and vaccine don't cause the disorder. Reporter Phillip Reese wrote both of these stories. Reese's theories for where all the autism is coming from are the usual, better diagnosing, broader definition.

Six months ago Reese included "environmental factors," but in the latest report he alleges that it might be because "more children [are] born with autism."

In both pieces he cites the AAP as the source for no link between vaccines and autism.

The undeniable facts are that autism continues to affect more and more children in California and there is no reasonable explanation. Six months ago there were 90,000 students in California schools with an autism diagnosis. Now there are 97,000. What will Phillip Reese be telling us in another six months?

July 18, 2016, Sac Bee: Autism rates in California public schools jumped 7 percent in 2016

By Phillip Reese

More than 97,000 California public school students have been diagnosed as autistic, a number that has risen seven-fold since 2001, according to the latest special education data from the California Department of Education.

The figure represent a jump of about 6,500, or 7 percent, from 2014-15 to 2015-16.

The increase was especially sharp among kindergartners, where autism cases grew by 17 percent last year. More than one of every 65 kindergartners in California public schools is classified as autistic.

Since 2006, the number of autistic students statewide has risen by between 5,000 and 7,000 every year, state figures show.

In the four-county Sacramento region, the number of autistic students rose by about 660, or 12 percent, to roughly 6,400 from 2014-15 to 2015-16.

Theories for the rise, which has been seen nationwide, include improved autism screening, broader definitions of the condition and more children born with autism.

Fears that modern vaccines cause autism have led some parents to forego vaccinating their children. The American Academy of Pediatrics says no evidence exists linking autism to vaccines. A new state law eliminates "personal belief exemptions" allowing parents to opt their children out of vaccinations before starting school. ...

Number of California students classified as autistic jumps for 14th consecutive year

More than one of every 75 kindergartners in California public schools is classified as autistic.

More than 90,000 California public school students are autistic, a number that has risen more than six-fold since 2001, according to the latest data from the California Department of Education.

The figure represent a jump of about 6,000, or 7 percent, from 2013-14 to 2014-15. More than one of every 75 kindergartners  in California public schools is classified as autistic.

The number of autistic students statewide has risen by between 5,000 and 7,000 every year for a decade. In 2001, there were about 14,000 autistic students in the state.

Each year since at least 2001, the number of autistic students has risen by 7 percent or more, state figures show.

In Sacramento County, the number of autistic students rose by about 340, or 11 percent, to roughly 3,400 from 2013-14 to 2014-15. The number of autistic children also rose in El Dorado, Placer and Yolo County.

Theories for the rise, which is a nationwide phenomenon, include improved autism screening, broader definitions of the condition and a genuine increase in autism cases.

A University of California study concluded that changes in diagnoses patterns alone cannot explain the rise in the disease. Instead, the study postulated that environmental factors were partially to blame and called for more study of the effects of viruses, pesticides, chemicals and other substances on the development of autism.

Fears that modern vaccines cause autism have led some parents to forego vaccinating their children. The American Academy of Pediatrics says no evidence exists linking autism to vaccines. A new state law that will take full effect in July will eliminate "personal belief exemptions" allowing parents to opt their children out of vaccinations.

I'm not sure where to put this.
But I think is important. Maybe Anne can dig a bit more into this news bit.
Not sure if this has made national news yet.
This is heartbreaking. A black male therapist of an autistic young adult got shot, in front of the ASD young adult, while doing nothing.
Most news outlets are focusing in the injustice because of the race angle; but nobody has said anything about the ASD person witnessing everything and the way he was treated afterwards.

Good lord…

Thanks for suggestion .. I tried .. but .. admittedly .. I am computer illiterate beyond email .. so my efforts were .. not surprisingly .. unsuccessful.

Did see and read your own comment though .. it is good to know there are people like yourself who are "out there" .. speaking "truth to power"!!!!

"The figure represent a jump of about 6,500, or 7 percent, from 2014-15 to 2015-16.

Kindergarteners conceived around 2009? I was hopefully hearing at that time that more and more young mothers were aware of the link or concerns about vaccination with autism plus...

..since the CDC, after finding that postnatal thimerosal risk could be obscured by making sure there was prenatal exposure in the "zero" exposure group, they (or their handlers) then thought it would be so brilliant to push two flu vaccines on pregnant women in 2009-10 (and other vaccines as Sean Burke has already pointed out...and 2009 was one of the years to CA Health Dept thought it was so important to grant another exemption to the thimerosal "ban")...but I was hearing concerns about this push...I guess not enough ...

...and three reactors melt down in Fukushima in 2011, nothing to be done about it apparently (unlike one reactor in Chernobyl encased in something like a week)...no information from "official" sources whatsoever about what exposures might be happening on the west coast (or the rest of the world)...

...and the Stupid Death Meter grid began to be installed in much of the state in 2011 too, probably just after the first year barrage of metal injection for most of these infants...

...the corporate media again singing lullabies of new awareness of sensations in the legs and toes for the proverbial boiling frog!

Good article today on the Bolen Report concerning the amended SB 277 lawsuit. SB 277 actually broadened the medical exemption in California beyond CDC criteria ("including, but not limited to family history"), leaving writing them entirely up to the professional judgement of the physician. But because most people get their medical care through insurance companies, which actively discourage the writing of medical exemptions, they are difficult to get, and only physicians in private practice write them; these are few in number. Now it appears that the California Department of Health, their county equivalents, the California Medical Board, and the California Medical Association (a pharma lobby group who pulled Pan's puppet strings during the legislative hearings) have been colluding to get the names of these physicians, and no doubt make life unpleasant for them. This is beyond the pale outrageous, and illegal as hell. California is run by fascists. The hearing on the temporary restraining order is scheduled for August 12th at the San Diego federal courthouse. I am confident it will be granted, but a big presence on the courthouse steps on that day would be a beautiful thing. Stay tuned in case the date is changed.

Shame on ME .. I wasted a certain amount of time and effort .. composing and sending the following email to Mr Phil Reese of the Sacramento Bee .. in a sincere effort to ask him do what his "profession" demands he do:

Hi Phil

Just read two of your columns in the Sacramento Bee .. Jan 21, 2016 and July 18, 2016 .. re-published today on the Age of Autism site .. wherein you "report" on the dramatic increase in autism in California schools .. which you accurately describe as a "nationwide phenomenon".

My friend .. I mean no disrespect to you .. nor .. your primary source of information on the safety of vaccines .. the American Academy of Pediatricians (AAP) .. but .. I do think YOU have a professional responsibility to YOUR readers .. to pursue other sources that will substantiate the AAP's undisputed claim .. "no evidence exists linking autism to vaccines". Consider ....

From the statistics YOU presented in YOUR articles .. autism in California schools was under 10,000 in 2000 .. and .. since 2006 .. the number of autistic students statewide has risen between 5,000 and 7,000 every year .. where today .. autistic students in California schools now number 100,000 .. a ten-fold increase .. in just 16 years. It is also important to understand California's dramatic increase in autism is occurring "nationwide" .. with some very credible sources estimating the number of autistic children under the age of 20 .. soon to graduate from their special needs public school programs .. is somewhere between 400,000 to 500,000.

Phil .. YOUR first column .. (1/21/16) .. more or less accepted ... "theories for the rise .. (which included) .. improved autism screening, broader definitions of the condition and more children born with autism" . YOUR second column .. (7/18/16) .. thankfully .. included a somewhat official .. obviously reluctant observation .. there may be a "genuine increase in autism".

Indeed .. common sense .. (should) .. dictate .. there can be no other reasonable observation than a "genuine increase in autism".

In any event .. I do want to thank YOU for at least mentioning a Univ of California study .. "that concluded changes in diagnoses patterns alone cannot explain the rise in the disease. Instead, the study postulated that environmental factors were partially to blame and called for more study of the effects of viruses, pesticides, chemicals and other substances on the development of autism"

I would only ask YOU .. if the California study "postulated" that "chemicals and other substances" may be contributing factors to the rise in autism .. why didn't THEY at least mention vaccines?

After all .. there is nothing more common to this generation than a growing number of recommended and approved vaccines .. beginning on the very first day of life .. within hours of birth .. with the HEP B vaccine .. ostensibly to protect that newborn infant from a disease that is primarily communicated through unprotected, promiscuous sexual behaviors .. hardly the type of exposures the infant is likely to encounter for a number of years?

Here are the official .. Glaxo Smith Kline .. "listed ingredients" of the HEP B vaccines .. recommended and approved by the CDC .. sanctioned and administered by the American Academy of Pediatricians .. given to infants within hours of birth:

"yeast protein, soy peptone, dextrose, amino acids, minerals salts, potassium aluminum sulfate, amorphous aluminum hydroxyphosphate sulfate, formaldehyde"

(At one time ... around 2000 .. the HEP B included Thimerosal .. a mercury based "preservative" that was very "cost effective" .. but .. eventually removed as a .. "safety-precaution")

Remember .. these infants are given a "one size fits all" vaccine .. at the most critical stage of physical and neurological development .. regardless if the infants were premature .. regardless of their weight .. or .. for that matter .. any consideration given to the infant's tolerance of the ingredients.

My friend .. YOU are a "reporter" .. and .. YOUR "profession" requires YOU to pursue asking the most "inconvenient questions" of those upon which YOUR readers rely upon for the "truth". I mean .. really .. how hard should it be for YOU .. to ask the AAP and the University of California .. if THEY believe the HEP B .. and .. it's known suspect ingredients .. (aluminum and formaldehyde?) .. be given to new born infants with hours of their birth?

Please do not interpret my comments as disrespectful of YOU .. trust me . my comments mean no disrespect .. they are merely a plea from a grandfather of a lovable sixteen year old .. non verbal .. grandson .. fixated on Elmo .. who was among the vanguard of what has become .. what YOU describe as a .. "nationwide phenomenon".

If YOU are still reading my comments .. thanks for taking the time and making the effort to do so. It is greatly appreciated.

I say shame on ME for taking the time and making the effort to plead with this .. as my original comments defined HIM as a USEFUL IDIOT .. because ... after researching my previous email contacts with him .. I was stunned and extremely disappointed to read ... IN 2013 I HAD MADE AN EVEN STRONGER APPEAL FOR HIM TO DO HIS DAMN JOB .. NOW 3 YEARS LATER .. I REALIZE I WASTED MY TIME AND EFFORT AGAIN.

SHAME ON ME .. BUT .. EVEN MORE TROUBLING .. SHAME ON HIM!!!!!!

What I haven't seen discussed is the 17% increase in kindergartens. This is the group that got the H1N1 shot in utero in addition to the flu and Dtap. Remember the H1N1 scare.

Back in 2009, I wrote about the California numbers. At that time there were 46,000 students with autism in California schools. I cited someone who said that ten years earlier there were only 14,000 students with autism in state schools. http://www.ageofautism.com/2009/05/on-media-pay-no-attention-to-that-tsunami.html

Perhaps Mr Reese's next article could address how many autistic nursing home residents there are in the state of California?

So, there are now over 97,000 autistic kids in California public schools? Looking at the 2014-15 breakdown for special-ed students, it get's even scarier.

http://www.cde.ca.gov/sp/se/sr/cefspeced.asp

The disability categories and enrollment breakdown in California for individuals (newborn through twenty-two years of age) who received special education services in 2014–15 are as follows:
Intellectual disabilities: 43,750
Speech or language impairment: 160,071
Visual impairment: 3,864
Emotional disturbance: 24,214
Orthopedic impairment: 12,293
Other health impairment: 76,122
Specific learning disability: 284,196
Deafness: 3,531
Hard of hearing: 10,325
Deaf-blindness: 116
Multiple disabilities: 6,435
Autism: 90,794
Traumatic brain injury: 1,744

In total over 717,000 California kids were in special education programs in public schools. There were over 6,235,000 kids in public schools, translating to 1 in 9 who were in special ed programs. And, with the largest disability categories being Speech and Language Impairment, Learning Disability, and Autism -- all of which can be argued as connected to vaccines -- we see the sheer toll that over-vaccination is having on kids.

Here are some not so random observations, several observers link testosterone to bioreactive activity they include Prof Boyd Haley, Profs John Thomas Manning and Simon Baron Cohen, and UK amniocentesis fluids data links elevated testosterone to autism, several research reports on Thimerosal, report on damage to male laboratory animals and less on female animals. Prof Mathew Fisher links certain isotopes of mercury to bioreactive harm to the brain. Now a UK TV broadcast (Horizon 19 July 2016) links anabolic steroids to neurological damage and reduced central nervous system performance. When is the autism community going to get a handle on the potential impact of toxins like mercury, aluminium and testosterone. At this time biochemists should be able to show the precise route of these harmful materials if they are behind the rise in autism. Testosterone use as HRT and anabolice steroids used by athletes and fintness fanatics has soared over the last thirty years along with mercury in vaccines.

"The American Academy of Pediatrics says no evidence exists linking autism to vaccines."

1. The AAP is just a trade union. Nothing more. Developed to block the growth of alternatives or as some like to call themselves-integrative Doctors from having access to the big money.

2. The AAP is an extensions of mostly MERCK and has done their bidding for decades. Also, AAP will never bite the hand that feeds them:

“Friends of Children Fund” Annual Report, July 1, 1996 - June 30, 1997, indicates $2.085 million in funding from corporations. Donors include Procter & Gamble, Gerber, Infant Formula Council, McNeil Consumer Products Company, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products, Abbott Laboratories, Wyeth-Lederle Vaccine & Pediatrics, Mead Johnson Nutritionals, SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, Schering Corp., Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, Food Marketing Institute, Sugar Association, International Food Information Council, Merck Vaccine Division, and others.

Formula manufacturers “donate $1 million annually to the American Academy of Pediatrics in the form of a renewable grant that has already netted the AAP $8 million. The formula industry also contributed at least $3 million toward the building costs of the AAP headquarters.” (Mothering magazine, July-August, p.60; refers to a book Milk, Money and Madness by Naomi Baumslag and Dia L. Michels (Westport, Conn.: Bergin and Garvey, 1995, p. 172))

According to a New York Times article, the Ross Products Unit of Abbott Laboratories, the maker of Similac infant formula, purchased 300,000 copies of the AAP’s “New Mother’s Guide to Breastfeeding” with Ross’ logo and name on them. In addition, “Ross, McNeil and Johnson & Johnson were the top three corporate supporters of the academy’s $65 million operating budget...each giving $500,000 or more.” (New York Times, 9/18/02, C1)

Certainly the useful idiots do exist, but to another point, those who would rather be a useful idiot than dead cannot be blamed for their self-preservation.
With the 'incidental' rise in deaths of natural minded or alternative doctors that speak out against the many evils in medicine like vaccines, mammograms, and even ultrasound, there are less willing to stick their neck out on the chopping block. The knowledge we have is dangerous. It will not be spread through conventional means. Rather, it will travel from parent to parent and chiropractor to patient, at least those who manage to stay alive, until there are enough of us mad enough to finally do something.

Hans Litten

I've got a great idea . Lets make laws that force vaccinates everyone . like sb277 & sb792
Thanks Senator Pan . scoundrels the lot of them

I don't know what profession Mr Reese thinks .. or even worse .. pretends .. to be pursuing .. but .. I do know for certain that whatever that profession is .. it is modeled upon Saddam's "useful idiot" .. the notorious propagandist .. Baghdad Bob. Only someone satisfied .. or .. too stupid .. to realize he has become nothing but a "useful idiot" of the AAP .. would continue to accept the AAP's blatant deception .. "no evidence exists linking autism to vaccines" .. while reporting on the "nationwide phenomenon" of rising rates of autism ..

Unfortunately .. it requires thousands of "useful idiots" .. in many professions .. medical, academia, pharmaceutical, legislators, media, on and on .. for this HOLOCAUST to CONTINUE .. with no end in sight.

Just asking .. HOW MANY WILL IT TAKE ... ONE OF EVERY TWO CHILDREN .. BEFORE THE USEFUL IDIOTS STOP BEING USEFUL IDIOTS?????
