Dachel Media Update: Representative Elijah Cummings
By Anne Dachel
This past November I did a series of interviews with Minister Tony Muhammad on the failure of Congress to investigate the claims of CDC scientist, Dr. William Thompson, that his agency had destroyed evidence of a link between the MMR vaccine and autism, including what was specifically found in a population of African American males under the age of 36 months.
Anne Dachel Interviews Tony Muhammad on CDC Vaccine Safety Accountability
Min. Tony talked about reaching out to African American members of Congress who should be especially concerned about Thompson's claims.
Min. Tony: "Then I went to a friend of mine that I knew when I lived in Baltimore years back, … Congressman Elijah Cummings. Bobby Kennedy knew him as well. I gave him a call, and I was talking to him about the MMR vaccine and I said, ‘Are you aware that Dr. William Thompson, who is the senior lead scientist for the Center for Disease Control, works in the vaccine division, …he has admitted that he lied. And Mr. Cummings said, ‘Wait a minute, we just had him here.’
“I said, ‘Yeah, and he has hired the number one whistleblower attorney in this country.’
“And he was like, ‘Really?’
“’Elijah, we need you to look into this. And the Hon. Min. Louis Farrakhan and those of us who are concerned about what’s happening with these vaccines and our children. The American public deserves to know what lies Dr. William Thompson [told] in front of you and your committee.’
“And he said, ‘Oh brother, I’m going to get right on this.’
“…Two days later, he called me back with a crackling sound in his voice, saying, ‘Ah, ah, ah, Minister Tony, look, I’m pro-vaccine.’
“I said, ‘Okay, so what does that have to do with Dr. William Thompson and the lie he told?’
[Cummings:] ‘Well, I don’t know if I want to deal with that. There’s science out there that’s debunking what he said.’
“I said, ‘No, no one—there is no science out there against what Dr. Thompson has said. Dr. Thompson needs to talk himself, since they’re using what he's saying.’
[Cummings:] “‘I don’t know if I want to deal with this. …”
Min. Tony asked Rep Cummings if he was a sellout.
“’I’m not a sellout.’ And he hung up the phone.’
Min. Tony said that he had someone investigating Cummings' ties to the pharmaceutical industry. He was astonished at the response from Cummings.
“These people are so powerful. He ran into something that’s backing him down from even bringing Dr. Thompson who lied to his committee.
“I said, ‘Then we’ve got to move the people....’
“I tell you, not just African American politicians. There are many white politicians, Latino politicians, who are bought and paid for, and this needs to be brought to the American people’s attention....”
Min. Tony went on to describe the liability protection given to the vaccine makers as “heinous.” He said, “That is a crime against the American people. …If these vaccines are so safe, why doesn’t the vaccine maker who’s making billions of dollars stand behind his product? …”
Min. Tony ended by saying that our elected officials are selling us out to special interest groups. He called for “truth and transparency.”
Here's what Minister Tony Muhammad said about Cummings in Atlanta in Oct.
Oct 24, 2015, CDC rally, Minister Tony Muhammad will also be appearing in Atlanta at the CDC’s doorstep
"And when I went to Congress, Elijah Cummings, I gotta tell you the truth. Elijah Cummings is over the Oversight Committee and both Bobby Kennedy and myself went to this Negro and this Negro...excuse me I'm getting a little touched...I have him the information from the honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and said, 'Brother Elijah we need you to look into this.' He said, 'Brother I'll look into that, we just had him [William Thompson] up here ten years ago.' And I said, 'Yeah Dr. Thompson lied to you.' He said, 'Well I'm going to look into this.' I said, 'If you look into this Brother we will stand behind you, the whole Nation will stand with you.'
"Two days later, I did not know that in two days he learned how to moonwalk. He called me back with a crackling sound in his voice. He said, 'Brother Tony look I...I...I just want you to know I'm pro-vaccine.' I said, 'I don't care about you being pro-vaccine I asked you to call Dr. Thompson and subpoena him.' 'I don't know if I can do that...I just think you hooked up with some crazy people I think your information is wrong.' I said, 'Brother are you punking out?' 'I'm not a punk Brother I'm just telling you [unintelligible] I ain't got time to talk.' I said, 'That's okay, Minister Farrakhan likes bad news fast.' And he hung up. Guess who I called? Minister Farrakhan. He said, 'That's all right Brother. I told you Pharaoh has some magicians.' He said, 'Not only have our Black politicians been bought but over 95% of our White politicians have been bought.'"
Here's the big disconnect in the ethics of Rep Cummings.
On Feb 2, 2016, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel published a story involving Rep Cummings and the drug industry.
Congress: drugmakers planned price hikes to boost profits
Two drugmakers have made a practice of buying and then dramatically hiking the prices of low-cost drugs given to patients with life-threatening conditions including heart disease, AIDS and cancer, according to excerpts from thousands of documents released by federal lawmakers.
A congressional review of more than 300,000 pages from Turing Pharmaceuticals and Valeant Pharmaceuticals reveals how executives planned to maximize profits while fending off negative publicity over the price hikes.
Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Maryland, released the information Tuesday ahead of a hearing Thursday to examine exorbitant price spikes. Cummings has used his position atop the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform to investigate several companies that have bought previously low-cost drugs and jacked up their prices many times over.
The Democrat said in a statement that the documents show "that many drug companies are lining their pockets at the expense of some of the most vulnerable families in our nation."
The same Elijah Cummings who went after drug makers for illegal price gouging by the pharmaceutical industry does not have the same concern over actions by the vaccine division at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This egregious double standard needs to be exposed for what it is. The idea that the government's vaccination program could be behind massive damage to a generation of children is the unthinkable to many of our politicians. The consequences are too terrible to consider. Elected officials like Cummings seem to lack any courage when it comes protecting the most vulnerable among us.
Most recently Cummings went on the record expressing his outrage over the officials who allowed the people of Flint, MI to be exposed to lead in their drinking water.
Feb 3, 2016, C-Span: Rep. Elijah Cummings' Passionate Remarks About Flint Water Crisis http://www.c-span.org/video/?c4578881/rep-elijah-cummings-passionate-remarks-flint-water-crisis
Cummings: "...I want everybody who is responsible for this fiasco to be held accountable. I'm not protecting anybody, because that's not our job. We are the last line of defense. And if we don't do it, nobody's going to do it."
It left me speechless. He is not willing to hold anyone responsible for harming children through a mandated vaccination program.
He is protecting everyone involved in the controversy at the CDC. He's right. Congress is the last defense for our children, and it obvious that nobody's going to do it.
FOOTNOTE--Here is Rep Cummings questioning vaccine safety four years ago.
Nov 29, 2012 House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Hearing on vaccines
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiQX0dRejz8
8:45 Elijah Cummings: "I'm sitting here and I'm listening to all of this. There's something wrong with this picture. ...When you've got this combination of shots, and you go from one in 10,000 to one in 88, it seems to me, somebody would say, wait a minute, let's put the brakes on this and at least let's try to figure out whether if I'm giving a baby nine shots in a day, ...how much impact that's having. ...It just seems logical. If they gave me nine shots, ...It just seems to me somebody oughta say, wait a minute, let's put some brakes on this. ...I wish you could see the people behind you. There are grown men that have been crying behind you. And women, crying. ...You can feel the frustration coming from here. ...Is there something maybe there's an issue here? And if we're going to err, let's err on the side of keeping children safe, even if we have to do a pause and give one shot a day. ..."
Back four years ago, Cummings expressed disbelief and frustration over what he had learned about the vaccine schedule. He was worried that there were too many shots, too soon. He was not happy with the assurances from health officials.
So what has changed? The latest 2016 childhood schedule has added two new vaccines to the recommended list.
The autism rate is now one in every 45 children in the U.S., including one in every 28 boys.
In 2012 Cummings wanted answers. That was BEFORE he learned about a whistleblower at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who had been ordered to destroy evidence of a link between the MMR vaccine and autism---especially if the child was African American. Now Cummings hangs up the phone on people who bring him uncomfortable information about the ever-expanding vaccination schedule.
It's clear from the what was said by lawmakers who expressed serious concerns about vaccine safety in 2012, that our government will do nothing when faced with the power and control of the pharmaceutical industry. The vaccine makers have bought the legislators along with the regulators.
"In his opening statement, Oversight Committee ranking member Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) complained that the hearing was the 23rd held about the IRS in recent years.
“Unfortunately, Republicans have become obsessed with investigating any and every allegation relating to the IRS, no matter how small,” he said.
He said Republicans are frustrated that they have never found proof that the White House conspired with the IRS to target conservative groups or shown that any IRS employee destroyed evidence during the investigation.
“The problem now is that our committee is in a mindset where we are just trying to get the IRS,” Cummings said.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio.), chairman of the Oversight subcommittee on administrative rules, fired back.
“We’re not trying to get the IRS. The IRS was trying to get conservative Americans who were exercising their First Amendment, free speech right,” he said. “Twenty-three hearings is a pretty small price to pay when you’re trying to protect fundamental liberties in the Constitution, for goodness sake.”
Jordan said the hearings are warranted because the IRS has engaged in a pattern of destroying records and documents...."
Twenty-three hearings playing politics while they ignore a credible whistleblower who has alerted them that America's and the world's children are being harmed because of CDC corruption and fraud. NOT ONE HEARING FOR THAT.
HOW ABOUT THESE IDIOTS TRY TO "GET" THE CDC? It would be easy. With thousands of documents and tens of thousands of injured children as evidence, they'd only need ONE hearing and a handful of empty prison cells.

I agree with Linda 1. Cummings was probably threatened and we all know how easy it is to do that, now that we have seen the murder/suicide/disappearance of holistic doctors in Florida/Georgia during 2015. At the rate things are going, we may have only one weapon left in the fight against the pharmaceuticals- STAYING HEALTHY . The worst thing that can happen to the health care system is for people to stay healthy. So friends, Dig in your heels and stay healthy. It can be done- and along with that fight for health freedom and educate the medically uneducated- to whatever extent you can.

meanwhile..knowing black children experience these high titers to a live vaccine, who is testing all of the women of childbearing age for current pregnancies when dosing them in these mass immunization programs..we know rubella as a CAUSE of microcephaly..we don't really have that experience with zika. What could this live virus do in the bodies of over responders? can we guess? they do!

as the saying goes, find out who you are allowed to criticise to find out who rules you..
MMR RIP

The Mayo clinic proved and announced the differences in antibodies(titers?) between vaccinated black children , white children and hispanics. Somali children experienced the highest number , with african american children second. So much is the difference they mentioned a consideration of halving the doses of rubella to black children. CLEARLY this indicates a biological difference that could prove a causal connection to the side effects experienced in these over responders, and start a path to identifying susceptible children.THIS INFORMATION provides the connection to the mmr and the findings of Thompson , and to the many children such as my own that show titers tens of times higher than unaffected children.

"I don't know if I want to deal with this..."
Millions of flies on the wall surveyed have reported this same overheard phrase.

One of the telling things that Elijah Cummings is quoted as saying is "I'm pro-vaccine", and that tells you everything about the politics - if you criticise or ask questions about any part of program you are immediately defined as "anti-vax". That is how ridiculously defensive it all is. My second favourite Hans Andersen story to the Emperor Who Had No Clothes is the Princess and Pea. Anybody says anything bad about the vaccine program and you get the Princess and the Pea tactics used by Elijah Cummings (and a load of garbage about it has been debunked). And even if he is like every other bloody politician he still should be examined and called out (and be embarrassed if he is capable of it).
PS Anyone using the word "debunked" is a scoundrel in my book.

Anne,
Thank you for pointing out Cummings' hypocrisy. Hopefully Marylanders will take this information into consideration for his next election and perhaps some will even contact him to express their displeasure before then.
I wonder if Mr. Cummings' wife has anything to do with his change of heart. She is involved in global public policy and health, although I couldn't find her linked specifically to vaccines. Her bio says that she works with global foundations:

One point I neglected to mention in my last post. Elijah Cummings is the Representative of the 7th Congressional District in Maryland (Baltimore and Howard counties). There are many Federal installations in Maryland (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_federal_installations_in_Maryland), especially installations related to medical research and treatment. There are also military installations, and lest we forget, there are numerous credible people who have accused the military of giving myriad vaccines to troops who were sent to the Middle East, without having tested these vaccine combinations adequately for short and long-term effects.
Even though most of these Federal installations are not in Rep. Cummings District, many are located within commuting distance of his District, and undoubtedly many people in his District work at these installations. How far would he get if he were to challenge the veracity and credibility of these institutions over the vaccine issue (or wireless communications, or.....)? That's not the way Congress works, or the way State legislators work. They do what's necessary to make these local employers happy and want to stay where they are, in order to keep their constituents employed. So, while I doubt he would do anything to challenge the complicit agencies even if they weren't in his District (as is the case with most of the members of Congress), their being in his District would only harden his resolve to sweep the problem under the rug.

Anne,
What was the purpose of focusing on Rep. Elijah Cummings? How does his response differ from the potential responses of almost every other member of Congress (with the exception of Rep. Posey)? They are all bought and paid for by the drug industry, the telecommunications industry, the arms industry, .........
I heard Cummings during the recent testimony on Flint. He, along with many others, gave a good performance, and I want to emphasize 'performance'. He also gave a good 'performance' on the recent hearing into high drug prices. According to USA Today: "Members of Congress launched into fiery lectures directed at Shkreli, whose previous company, Turing Pharmaceuticals, came under scrutiny when it raised the price of Daraprim more than 5,000%.
"Drug company executives are lining their pockets at the expense of some of the most vulnerable families in our nation," U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Maryland, said. "It's not funny, Mr. Shkreli. People are dying and they're getting sicker and sicker.""
Members of Congress do their best when attacking problems whose causes are accepted by the American people and cannot be avoided or swept under the rug. Lead in the water, astronomical drug prices, etc. In those cases, they hold hearings like Flint and the high drug prices, and most of the Members attend and raise their voices in righteous indignation. This is known in football as 'piling on'; many players will jump on another player after he has been tackled and lies on the ground defenseless. Cummings has a very good voice and the ability to appear passionate, and performs quite well at these hearings. However, when it comes to problems whose causes have not yet been accepted by a majority of the voting public, like some vaccines, wireless radiation, etc, then these once-booming voices become muted!
Congress and (as we have seen by the recent vaccination mandates that were passed) state legislators are completely owned by these large industries. I have seen no strategic plan on AoA, or any other blog, that will remedy this situation.

At this very moment .. it is infuriating to hear Cumming's passionate sympathy for those "men and women behind you who are literally crying" .. as he BEGGED those arrogant public health officials to investigate whether "giving babies nine shots in a day" is not contributing to the rise of autism .. from "1 in 10,000 to 1 in 88".
I say it was "infuriating" because I now realize it was all an "act" .. and .. I was so stupid I bought it whole .. even sent him an email expressing my great appreciation for his comments .. pledging my loyal support to him going forward.
It cannot just be MONEY .. (though we all KNOW that MONEY IS the root of all EVIL) .. so .. there must be something ELSE .. something that Cummings personally FEARS .. possibly exposure of some ongoing or recent past behavior that will ruin his reputation and career.
Anyone who has watched "House of Cards" will understand what I am suggesting .. having damaging information on a politician is extremely valuable .. as most politicians will do just about ANYTHING .. to protect themselves from public exposure of their misconduct ..
THERE IS NO OTHER POSSIBLE EXPLANATION FOR CUMMING'S INEXPLICABLE .. INFURIATING .. "MOON-WALK" AWAY FROM HIS .. WHAT AT THAT TIME I THOUGHT TRULY COURAGEOUS COMMENTS .. QUESTIONING THE "HOLY GRAIL OF PUBLIC HEALTH" .. ROUTINE .. NUMEROUS VACCINATIONS .. GIVEN ON THE SAME DAY TO A TODDLER .. WHO THEN BECOMES THE "1 IN 88" CHILDREN WITH AUTISM.
SHAME ON HIM .. AND .. SHAME ON EVERY MEMBER OF THAT UTTERLY USELESS .. DAMNED .. HOUSE OVERSIGHT AND GOVERNMENT REFORM COMMITTEE ..

We need to ask them this: look at flint.
See what happened to the governor.
Do you really think that the vaccine crimes are
not going to be exposed as more and more children
hit the tipping point?
Do you know lead and Mercury make each other worse!
Which side of this story do you prefer to be on when it breaks?
It's going to break and it's going to break bad.

I have a feeling that Cummings wasn't bought as much as he was psychologically strong armed and threatened into inaction.
