The New York Times continues to cover up what vaccines with mercury are doing.
This was the response from Robert Kennedy, Jr to the Times last summer.
Re “California, Camelot and Vaccines” (column, July 5): Frank Bruni says mercury has been removed from most American vaccines. But there are large doses in some tetanus and meningitis vaccines, and in about a third of the more than 150 million doses of flu vaccine available this past flu season. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends annual flu shots, including for pregnant mothers and infants over 6 months.
Mr. Bruni says he sides with the C.D.C. version of what the science says. There is a peril in faith in government orthodoxies. Scathing reports by House and Senate subcommittees paint the C.D.C. as a cesspool of corruption, including scandalous conflicts with the $25 billion vaccine industry.
In August a C.D.C. senior vaccine scientist, Dr. William Thompson, invoked federal whistle-blower protection, confessing that C.D.C. scientists had buried data linking vaccines to autism and other neurological harms.
In researching our book, “Thimerosal: Let the Science Speak,” Dr. Martha R. Herbert, Dr. Mark Hyman and I identified hundreds of peer-reviewed studies by government and university scientists showing that thimerosal, a mercury-containing preservative, is a devastating toxin linked to neurological disorders now epidemic in American children. Among these were 39 studies strongly suggesting that thimerosal causes autism.
The media’s undue reverence for the C.D.C. has emboldened bad agency behavior that jeopardizes vaccine safety. The best way to promote vaccine compliance is through intense media scrutiny that will restore integrity and credibility at the C.D.C.
I am pro-vaccine, but I want safe vaccines, robust regulators and transparent science.
ROBERT F. KENNEDY Jr.
The story below by Karen Weintraub is an update on the effort by the Times to downplay the use of mercury in the flu vaccine. I posted two comments on the story, but only one was published.
Oct 16, 2015, New York Times: Ask Well: Flu Vaccine Risks, by Karen Weintraub
People may also get a sore arm from a flu shot, which is delivered into the deltoid muscle of the shoulder, or a low-grade fever for a few days. . . .
Years of research have found no connection between thimerosol, a mercury-based preservative in vaccines, and autism. Multi-dose vials of the flu shot – but not other methods of delivery – do include a small amount of thimerosal, but at Tufts, they only purchase the single-dose vials, which don’t have the preservative, “just so that we never have to have that conversation,” Dr. Doron said.
Weintraub has been covering this issue for years. Here she tells us mercury in vaccines doesn't cause autism while presenting one doctor who doesn't give mercury-containing flu shots,
Is this the same Karen Weintraub who wrote this book with Martha Herbert?
The same Martha Herbert who wrote the intro to Robert Kennedy, Jr's book, Thimeorsal, Let the Science Speak?
Weintraub said that years of research have found no link between vaccines with mercury and autism. She doesn't acknowledge the mounting studies by well- credentialed experts whose work does connect vaccines to autism. Furthermore, each of the studies by the government has been shown to have ties to the drug industry. You'll never see research that can be called "independent" disproving a link.
Weintraub has had years of experience defending the safety of vaccines, denying a link to autism and guessing about the cause.

2011 NPR Boston **Here she included SafeMinds and Alison MacNeil, but it seems that what they said was quickly forgotten.
Weintraub knows Martha Herbert. She's talked to SafeMinds and Alison MacNeil. Still, she currently defends the safety of using toxic mercury in vaccines.
