There are endless stories in the news about the new law ending exemptions in California.
"Generally all of you agree, vaccines are good for our kids."
With that the Fox News anchor interviewed three pro vaccine doctors about SB277. One of the doctors didn't like the government forcing vaccines on parents because she thinks they can be educated to come around.
The other two were very pro SB277. One blamed the whole mess on Jenny McCarthy and both of them favored a federal law ending all exemptions except medical. Not one word was said about the protection afforded doctors or the possibility of vaccine injuries.
Jim Carrey left his 14 million Twitter followers in no doubt about his feelings on California's tough new vaccination law on Tuesday.
The actor believes there is a link between vaccines and autism. He branded California Gov. Jerry Brown a "corporate fascist" after he signed into law one of the strictest immunization programs in the country earlier in the day. . . .
Despite lingering fears among some parents, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is clear that there is no link between vaccines and autism. Echoing the broad scientific consensus, the CDC says there is "no link between thimerosal-containing vaccines and [autism], as well as no link between the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine and [autism] in children."
No childhood vaccines distributed in the U.S. contain mercury or thimerosal, CDC says.
Listen to the anchor saying the word "thimerosal." She has no idea what she's talking about.
SHE SAYS MERCURY IS IN THE INACTIVE FLU SHOT, but the text cites the CDC saying no childhood vaccine contains mercury.
No one really cares about this issue. (And what about the meningitis vaccine recommended for kids as young as 11? One version of it contains mercury.)
The corporate state is fascism. And when an industry can have this kind of influence and control over lawmakers that they will close their eyes to the concerns of thousands of constituents, it's industry that governs us.
CBS News legal expert, Rikki Klieman: ". . . They will have to be vaccinated against certain diseases--And I mean HAVE TO! . . . This is will be one of the STRICTEST LAWS IN THE COUNTRY. . . . NO VACCINES, NO SCHOOL."
What is a "private study homeschool"? Parents can create their own schools?
Klieman brings up the constitutional issues.
"My child has a right to a public education. . . . The right to a public education is enshrined in the Constitution of California. That's going to be the real legal ground here."
