The Battle for California, Part 5 - California Democrats Pass Fugitive Slave (I Mean, Anti-Vaxxer) Act and Guarantee Their Own Destruction!
Nothing leads evil to its own destruction quicker than its own apparent success. It's how God leads the wicked to their demise.
Consider the slave-owning South prior to the American Civil War. A trickle of slaves, perhaps 1,000-5,000 were escaping each year (out of an estimated population of 3,000,000 slaves), beginning their lives in the North, and speaking freely of what they endured under the lash of their slave-masters.
The escaped slaves presented no existential threat to slavery. For those in the North who didn't quite know what to think about slavery, they were allowed to continue to exist in their state of uncertainty. Maybe slavery was good, maybe it was bad, but it was something that happened someplace else. They were not a part of it.
But that wasn't enough for the South. The escaped slaves drove them crazy. Just like the 1.5% of California schoolchildren who have a philosophical or religious exemption drive the pro-pharma forces crazy. You see, most doctors claim that even if you believe in the mythical concept of "herd immunity", it's somewhere around 90-93%. I'm not a math teacher, but even if you take 1.5% away from 100%, I calculate it at 98.5%. Check my math to see if I've got it right.
This Monday, the California Senate voted 24-14 in favor of SB 277, which would strip California parents of religious and philosophical exemptions to vaccines in order for their children to attend public school, something so draconian that even China and Russia have no similar laws. The measure is going to Governor Jerry Brown's desk for his signature. (As a footnote, Jerry Brown's father, Governor Pat Brown, signed the current parental exemptions into law in 1961. It's a great shame that yesterday's soulful, civil rights democrats have morphed into today's soul-less corporate democrats. Somebody needs to lead them back to their historic support of the rights of the individual.)
The fact is, those parents with philosophical or religious exemptions drive people like Senator Richard Pan and his pharmaceutical cronies absolutely nuts, just like escaped slaves drove their Southern masters crazy. Many people credit the Fugitive Slave laws as hastening the start of the Civil War and the end of slavery. By the very act by with which they attempted to gain complete control, they created a destabilizing force which wiped then from the face of the earth.
Think of what the effort to pass SB 277 has cost its proponents. In California, almost the entire Republican party has come out against it, as well as the Nation of Islam, and the Church of Scientology. (Yes, a stranger alliance you would be hard-pressed to find!) Before this happened, I bet the California Republican party would have gone along with this idea. It's a little like the English general who after the Battle of Bunker Hill in the Revolutionary War said of their costly victory, "a few more such victories will put an end to British rule in North America!" Our numbers will only continue to grow.
May the passage of SB 277 and the ensuing firestorm it will cause finally end the silence of vaccine injury, reveal the truth of how the pharmaceutical industry has harmed a generation of children, lead CDC whistle-blower, Dr. William Thompson to testify before Congress, give hope to honest scientists committed to truth, and healing for those who have been so grievously injured.

The law would not apply to high schoolers?
If Hib isn't recommended for unvaccinated seven-year-olds and older, are they going to make older kids get it anyway?

I am surprised the African American community isn't screaming at the top of their lungs over forced vaccinations. I am screaming for them. I wonder if the CDC whistleblower will stay alive to testify.
I wish the lawyer, Tom Girardi would fight this forced vaccine battle.
I will never vote for anyone who voted yes on forced vaccinations.

What government cares about most is money. Yours! What would happen if Californians opposed to this tyranny of mandated vaccinations were to not pay their state income taxes until the law was rescinded? If enough were to do this, you'd see them take notice. Yes, "civil disobedience" is oftentimes the only recourse to uncivil laws.

Kent: I can't believe it! BN.com has removed my review of Plague, and moved the book deep into the bowels of the listings of titles containing the word. The crooks own everything, and control everything. I'm going to rewrite it, and see how long it stays this time.

Brown's been told that lawsuits are inevitable should he sign off.
He signed off, essentially declaring it's now officially out of his hands.
And let it begin...

There is no vaccine against the epidemic of scientific illiteracy, naivete, and credulity running rampant in our fair land; were there, I might consider promoting it. I wasn't so much shocked by our governor overturning his father's exemption bill, but by the swiftness of it. Such is the power of propaganda, and the odious lure of filthy lucre. I'm sorry I voted for him four times. His legacy will be the further destruction of the health of all Californians. I have no faith in the Courts. Dr. Thompson may be our only remaining hope. We'll see if Representative Chaffetz has the guts to take on the leviathan. By the way, Kent, the book is extraordinary-I couldn't put it down. And chilling. You have a rare gift for telling a story well You and Dr. Moskovitz deserve whatever prize is given for science writing.

Good point to make it known that Governor Brown knowingly went against Bill Thompson's information about special risks to people of color.

I just wonder how they are going to impose this waking walking nightmare and with what financial mechanisms and frameworks.
No doubt pharma will magic the money as sorcerers do and will vanish when it goes wrong.
MMR RIP

Brown signed the bill. Time for the next step.

The California State Government has now, in effect, attempted to exile the very citizens that elected them. Californians will be tempted to bail out - please don't! There will be no one to fight against such blatant discrimination there and California will have become an officially successful experiment on how to establish a pharmaceutical regime.
All before you've had a chance to communicate to everyone you know the power of probiotics and how they will relegate vaccines to the scrap heap of historical and tragic mistakes.

LET THE PROTESTS BEGIN !!!!!!!!!!!!
DEMOCRACY IS DEAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Sophie Scholl | June 30, 2015 at 03:14 PM
The only effective form of protest would be to pull all the children out of school. Yesterday. That is the only thing that will get their attention. Why? Because each child brings a large bag of federal funding with him to his public school for each day that he attends. No attendance - no money for the school.
Applying the law to the children in drips and drabs was not done to be nice. It was done to prevent the kind of scenario that I'm describing, that is the only thing that these criminals fear.
Parents need to move beyond signs and letters and phone calls and take ACTION, within legal limits, that will be impossible to ignore.
If you all start crawling to the pediatrician to beg for a medical exemption, if you put yourself at their mercy, they have won.

Ugh. Sorry. That was the current version, I see. I needed to read more carefully. It does list July 1, 2016 as the start date.
Posted by: Kristina | June 30, 2015 at 02:08 PM
Oops, I see it was Twyla who linked to the previous version of the bill.
Posted by: Kristina | June 30, 2015 at 02:06 PM
Cia Parker,
That is an old version of the bill that you linked to. It was recently amended to take effect July 1, 2016. In terms of K-12 school, it will affect incoming kindergartners and incoming 7th graders in the 2016-2017 school year.
It will also affect children younger than kindergarten, for preschool and daycare, starting July 1, 2016.

"Nothing leads evil to its own destruction quicker than its own apparent success. It's how God leads the wicked to their demise."
I forgot to add, "Thanks!" and now especially I'm hoping you're right.

Terrific essay, but please reflect that SB277 applies to " public or private elementary or secondary school, child care center, day nursery, nursery school, family day care home, or development center.'
IMO, the requirements for infants, toddlers and pre-K California children are chilling (see MUMPER: Vaccines 2.0) and must be URGENTLY COMMUNICATED at every opportunity.
Posted by: reader | June 30, 2015 at 01:51 PM
@Carol
The law (if not challenged in court) will go into effect July 1, 2016. In terms of school attendance (I'm not sure about daycare), it will only immediately affect children who are starting kindergarten or 7th grade in the fall of 2016. A child entering 8th grade or above in 2016 will not have to get any vaccines. A child entering 1st grade in 2016 will have until 7th grade to get vaccinated. A child entering 6th grade in 2016 will only have one year to get fully vaccinated.
There are some vaccines such as hepatitis A that California does not require for school, so people should definitely look into the requirements before giving vaccines. But I personally would wait to see what happens in the courts, then if necessary try to find a sympathetic doctor for a medical exemption, and worse case scenario, I would move out of state. I would hope that this law would not cause any parent to vaccinate their child if they know it would be unsafe for their child.

It was good (maybe) to see a few more vote against the consensus (I don't know whether to credit further education or just political motivations). If we get a veto (I can't feel hopeful--do we have enough support to recall a governor with a pretty high approval rating, assuming we can trust the rating) we might not get an over-ride vote, but too many in our state government seem just as afflicted with elitism and cronyism as many in D.C. ...
Some can't be recalled soon enough IMO. The language in another bill forcing medication is very disturbing, but I'm sure Pan (assuming he wrote it or at least perused it) just thinks it's a good idea for accomplishing what's best (does that include a career in another state or D.C. itself?):

Everyone please call the governors office and ask Brown to make public whether or not he has received the information regarding William Thompson from the CDC. It would be negligent of him to sign a bill that was based on fraudulent safety science. His team is very much waffling at that information when you call and ask that sticky question. Ask that he make public whether or not he received information from the oversight committee. Ask that he make public that he thoroughly studied the information before he signs the bill. Ask that he make public that there is a CDC scientist still working at the CDC who has confessed to fraud. Ask him to investigate Richard Pan and Toni Atkins and others who received nearly $100,000 each before putting the law to the assembly.

If this bill passes, those voting for it should immediately take all these vaccines including all boosters required for children adjusted for an adult, this should be part of the law.
Posted by: Victor | June 30, 2015 at 12:24 PM
Carol,
If it passes, it goes into effect on January 1, 2016. I think it would only apply to incoming kindergartners and 8th graders.
Posted by: cia parker | June 30, 2015 at 12:19 PM
It should be noted that a handful of Democrats in the Assembly did vote against SB277, and spoke out strongly against it. But yes, for the most part it is Democrats who are supporting this and Republicans opposing.
Carol, here is the proposed law. The effective dates are in the second paragraph.

Thank you Kent Heckenlively for this great analogy. Let's hope this really has raised the general consciousness about vaccine injuries. It has certainly opened my eyes to California's Democratic Party.
I think this was suppose to be a very quiet bill for Senator Allen, just something on his "to do" list for the beginning of what was planned to be an illustrious career. He was elected with a huge majority and heavily supported by outgoing L.A. County Board of Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, and long term politicians like Fran Pavley. I've already gotten my form letter from Fran Pavley. I doubt she read any of her mail because she didn't address any of my concerns..just vaccines are good for you, and for kids. She acted so annoyed by those of us opposed to SB 277. She didn't even try to explain her position. Compare her deadpan attitude to the amazing vitality of those speakers at the rally.
AB 277 proves for me how little most elected California Democrats care about children and is like the icing on the cake of scandalous L.A. County foster care program where the County prefers to keep children in foster care in order to receive the $8,000 per child that goes into County coffers. With the exception of the few Democrats in the Assembly who heard the voices of the vaccine injured I have given up on the Californian Democratic elected officials as human beings.

Wow. It is just so unbelievable this is happening particularly in a state like CA. I had thought about relocating there with my child. This just changed my mind!

Label GMO Vaccines?
Not only do they have GMO's in them, 90=95% of vaccines are not made in the US. Most of them are made in China. Remember the incident with the pet food? How many pets died just in the US from China's poor quality?
Posted by: Danchi | June 30, 2015 at 09:36 AM
Well folks, at least those of you (like RFK) who traveled to Calif. to take part in the protests......... are you ready to come to other states like Pennsylvania where there are similar vaccine laws? Hope to see you if that happens.
Posted by: ASDfatherPA | June 30, 2015 at 09:36 AM
Hey Californians - 4 million of you voted to label GMO foods! Why? So you could make an informed choice to avoid them.
All or nearly all vaccines contain GMOs and those in development certainly do. People have a right to avoid GMO foods and GMO vaccines.
Rally your 4 million GMO labeling supporters and get this thing veto'ed once and for all!

If Brown signs the bill, what's the earliest it will go into effect? Will parents have time to space out vaccinations or make other educational arrangements?
