It's amazing what a difference six days makes. On June 18, 2015, The Sacramento Bee ran the story, Drug companies donated millions to California lawmakers before vaccine debate,
which suggested that maybe California politicians pushing for an end of exemptions were motivated by more than concern for children's heath.
A subplot to the vociferous debate over the student vaccination bill moving through California's Capitol is opponents' allegations that the effort reflects the influence of the pharmaceutical industry. . .
Other legislation has a more direct bearing on the industry, and it is an active political player. Pharmaceutical companies and their trade groups gave more than $2 million to current members of the Legislature in 2013-2014, about 2 percent of the total raised, records show. Nine of the top 20 recipients are either legislative leaders or serve on either the Assembly or Senate health committees. Receiving more than $95,000, the top recipient of industry campaign cash is Sen. Richard Pan, a Sacramento Democrat and doctor who is carrying the vaccine bill.
In addition, the industry donated more than $500,000 to outside campaign spending groups that helped elect some current members last year.
It was amazing that the mainstream press was saying this. Usually reporters refuse to recognize that conflicts of interest are a part of the vaccine controversy.
However the Sacramento Bee didn't take long to shift gears on the issue. Six days later, the money ties to pharma didn't matter. It was time to trash Robert Kennedy, Jr and the Nation of Islam for "playing the race card" and to once again defend the safety of vaccines.

Having trotted out just about every conspiracy theory in the book against the tightening of vaccination laws in California, the opponents of Senate Bill 277 have come up with a new and truly cynical angle - race.
Echoing vaccine critic Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and using forums owned by the Church of Scientology, among other platforms, the head of the Nation of Islam and the group's Los Angeles leader have spent the last several weeks denouncing the measure, which would eliminate the state's overly broad "personal belief" exemption to school vaccination.
Last week, the Rev. Louis Farrakhan urged black families in Los Angeles to keep their kids home from school if state lawmakers pass SB 277, citing discredited claims that vaccines are linked to autism, particularly among black male children. . . .
And as sincere as Kennedy and his allies may be in their concern about the pharmaceutical industry and its influence, the vast majority of mainstream scientists dispute the science they keep citing. The power of Big Pharma may be a real issue, but it's not the issue here.
What is truly unfortunate is the use of race to undermine public health in California. This country has real racial issues. We don't need to gin up conspiracies - or keep more kids home from school.
Whatever his reasons for trying to kill a bill that, if anything, would improve public health in the community he claims to care for, Farrakhan should rethink his position. There are no color lines when it comes to contagious diseases.
There was no mention of the $2 million in pharma money that has gone to California legislators since 2013. Notice that government's own study showing black males had a 3.36 times greater risk of developing autism if they received the MMR vaccine prior to three years of age, as the CDC recommends, was dismissed as merely being "discredited claims."

The Los Angeles Times likewise gave false and misleading information on the MMR study on June 22. In Nation of Islam opposes California vaccine mandate bill, nothing was said about the pharma dollars changing hands in the state legislature. Instead, as if to downplay the significance of a claim that the MMR vaccine caused a higher rate of autism in African American boys, opponents of the bill were accused of trying to make this a racial issue. Several black organizations were cited endorsing the safety of vaccines.
With a leader of the Nation of Islam warning African American lawmakers of political repercussions if they support a California bill mandating vaccines, a coalition of other black organizations on Monday countered the campaign with support for the measure.
Nation of Islam Western Regional Minister Tony Muhammad has told members of the California Legislative Black Caucus that they will face a backlash from their community if they support SB 277, which may come up for a vote in the Assembly on Thursday. "That is a traitorous act," he said of black lawmakers voting for the bill. "They will not be welcome in the black community if they vote like that."
In a recent speech and an interview Monday with the Los Angeles Times, Muhammad said there is concern that some vaccines may harm young African American males and he likened the vaccine mandate to the government's Tuskegee Syphilis Study in which federal researchers, starting in the 1930s, withheld treatment from African American men.
"This happened to us in Tuskegee and we refuse to allow this thing to happen to us again under the name of health," Muhammad said. "Because they came in the name of health in 1932 ... and watched men die when they had a cure."
Muhammad cited a widely rejected study by one researcher who indicated that there might be a higher incidence of autism in African-American boys who receive the MMR vaccination against measles, mumps and rubella . . .
"Unfortunately, recent attacks on the measure have been vicious, unfounded and distort the science and history of childhood immunization within our community," said a statement by the California State Conference of the NAACP, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, the Charles R. Drew Medical Society, the California Black Health Network and the Network of Ethnic Physician Organizations.
These editorials are evidence of just how far the media and the forces that control them are willing to go to brainwash the public regarding vaccine choice. I can't believe news people at The Bee and at The Times haven't heard the cliché, "follow the money." How can The Bee report on vaccine industry donations to legislators one day, and six days later say, "It's not the issues here."
The American press is well-schooled on what is allowed when it comes to reporting on vaccines. That's why both The Times and The Bee each produced editorials with vague references to a study on black boys and the MMR, and giving no details, they attacked those who mention it and accuse them trying to make this a racial conspiracy. The problem with this tactic is that Dr. William Thompson isn't going away and neither are the thousands of pages of official research. What The Times and The Bee are currently doing is covering up the truth about what vaccines can do to a subgroup of children who are vulnerable because of their race.
The people at The Sacramento Bee and The Los Angeles Times need to take a look at a current piece in another California publication, The Inland Valley News (Upland, CA), CDC's Latest Tuskegee Experiment Putting African American Boys at Risk.
This well researched article featuring a large photo of Robert Kennedy, Jr gave readers the details that the other papers deliberately concealed.
Last August, CDC senior scientist, Dr. William Thompson, invoked federal whistleblower status and confessed that the CDC has known since 2001 that black boys exposed to the MMR vaccine have a disproportionate risk of autism.
The Upland News made it clear that when it comes to vaccines, race does matter.
The buried data were disturbing, but hardly surprising. The most reliable studies in the scientific literature indicate that African Americans are more susceptible to vaccine injury and may also have increased susceptibility to neurological disorders such as autism.
This is something that officials have known about for years.
Based upon all the population data and CDC's most recent autism incidence estimates, at least 100,000 African-American male children could have been spared debilitating neurological injury if the CDC scientists had told the truth when the increased risk was first known to them in 2001.
In addition we read:
Dr. Thompson wants to testify before Congress and blow the lid off the cover-up.
There was an experimental measles vaccine used on minority children in Los Angeles that was linked to serious side effects, including death,
There was horrific research conducted by the U.S. government for forty years where infected black men were denied treatment for syphilis so officials could study the progress of the disease.
The Inland Valley News really did make this a racial issue--because it is.

In an earlier comment, I posted that SB277 HAS passed out of our Assembly, 46030. I also stated that the bill will now reach Governor Brown's desk, but it first has to go yet again through the Senate to vote on the most recent amendments...
...it will pass out of Senate and THEN reach Governor Brown's desk.

Bravo! This is awesome. Why not send copies to politicians etc., in case the Sacbee bins it.
Anne, I wonder if these papers you quote are protesting too much. The fact of 'isolated autism', which means any of us could get it without any known predisposition, makes me wonder if certain people might be targeted. There could be political reasons why black people would be targeted and Tuskegee shows that it's been done before. Middle class people, particularly professionals, scientists and medics who show a propensity to be non-compliant and whistleblowers, would also be possible victims. When they put that clear liquid into you or your child you don't actually know what's in it regardless of what is on the label.
I admit this is a conspiracy theory, but conspiracies do happen, and I think in this community we have seen enough corruption that we should keep an open mind on conspiracies. As I have mentioned before on here, my father was a research pharmacologist during WW2 and the whole of our family has ended up with some form of autism, ME, allergies, dyslexia etc. I even had a dog who was 'autistic', - having been vaccinated. She never learned to communicate when she needed to go out, and I'd never known another dog to have that problem. She eventually had a stroke at 13 years. All our other farm animals died of various communicable diseases. These things give me clues, which I share with you in case it is of any help in discerning the root of this situation.

Another one. From 2006, 9 years ago, accepted for publication in 2007, Journal of Pediatrics. Finding that vaccination causes inflammation (elevated c-reactive protein), cardiorespiratory problems, gastroesophageal reflux and severe intraventricular hemorrhage (bleeding into the ventricles of the brain - "Severe bleeding often leads to developmental delays and problems controlling movement. Up to 1 in 5 babies with severe bleeding may die." http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/007301.htm Intraventricular hemorrhage of the newborn), the authors conclude that infants be monitored for these events post vaccination. Note too, that the study only looked at the first 3 days post. Any adverse event after 3 days was not recorded. This recommendation is like saying with Vioxx, upon finding an increased risk of heart attack, to continue taking the drug but with increased monitoring. Except it's far worse, since at least with Vioxx there was a medical need for analgesia, and the patients willingly took the drug. For these babies and their parents, there is no choice, no consent, and no medical need for these drugs. This is indefensible infanticide, plain and simple.

Objective
To determine the incidence of cardiorespiratory events and abnormal C-reactive protein (CRP) level associated with administration of a single vaccine or multiple separate vaccines simultaneously.
Study design
Prospective observational study on 239 preterm infants at ≥2 months of age in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Each infant received either a single vaccine or multiple vaccines on one day. CRP levels and cardiorespiratory manifestations were monitored for 3 days following immunization.
Results
Abnormal elevation of CRP level occurred in 85% of infants administered multiple vaccines and up to 70% of those given a single vaccine. Overall, 16% of infants had vaccine-associated cardiorespiratory events within 48 hours postimmunization. In logistic regression analysis, abnormal CRP values were associated with multiple vaccines (OR, 15.77; 95% CI 5.10-48.77) and severe intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) (OR, 2.28; 95% CI 1.02-5.13). Cardiorespiratory events were associated marginally with receipt of multiple injections (OR, 3.62; 95% CI 0.99-13.25) and significantly with gastroesophageal reflux (GER) (OR, 4.76; 95% CI 1.22-18.52).
Conclusion
CRP level is expected to be elevated in the 48 hours following immunization. In a minority of infants immunized, cardiorespiratory events were associated with presumed need for intervention. Underlying medical conditions and possibly multiple injections are associated with cardiorespiratory events. Precautionary monitoring following immunizations is warranted."

People are awakening to what really is a vast conspiracy from the pharma researchers right through to media and hungry politicians. NEW JAMA STUDY CONFIRMS NURSE WHISTLEBLOWING: ROUTINE HOSPITAL VACCINE DAMAGE HAPPENING TO INFANTS
It was not long ago that headlines were made by Michelle Rowton of Nurses Against Mandatory Vaccines during a live interview with David Knight of infowars.com. The nurse turned whistleblower spoke of the callous, daily operating procedure she witnessed happening in the hospital she worked at. Her admissions were yet another log on a fire lit long ago burning for people’s right to have medical freedom and choice. In that viral interview, Rowton went on record to state:
“I think what a lot of people don’t realize in a closed space like NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) is that they’ve decided that we need to vaccinate these babies on-time. Two months after they’re born…bam, there it goes. This baby could be four months early and still supposed to be inside their mother, weighting three or four pounds and getting the same amount of vaccines as a 200 pound man.”
Rowton then went further to break bombshell news at the time by saying:
“I’ve sat in a room with our on-call staff of physicians and practitioners (when they say) “Oh wow, this is so embarrassing this 25 weeker never actually required a breathing tube and going on the vent after he was born, he was so strong. But we gave him his two month vaccinations and he got intubated last night ha ha, oops how embarrassing. The step-down units are calling the NICU’s and saying “hey we’re going to go ahead and give these four babies their two month shots today, make sure you have beds ready because we all know they’re going to have increased breathing difficulties, feeding and digestion difficulties, apnea, and bradycardia. This is what goes on”
It appears the dominos are continuing to fall in favor of common sense, informed consent and medical ethics. New research from the JAMA Pediatrics journal titled Adverse Events After Routine Immunization of Extremely Low-Birth-Weight Infants now confirms essential 100 percent of Rowton’s whistleblowing statements which, just a month ago, seemed almost surreal. Drug companies, politicians and a misguided medical community are now faced with the uncomfortable position of withdrawing their PR campaigns and daily operating procedures in favor of hard data and daily evidence. Humanity has reached the point where denying reality in the face of such evidence borders on insanity and high ignorance. It appears to be clear that when a medical community, its regulations and the health of a people are driven by profits, what is revealed equates to nothing more than a slippery slope towards systemic damage and destruction.
When highly profitable agendas are in play, listening to public demand typically isn’t the strong suit of politicians. As people take back their medical freedom in state houses across the United States, an integrity-strained governmental body is testing the extreme realms of political misrepresentation. It makes no difference now if the original roots attempting to remove medical freedom and choice were laid by ignorance, corruption, financial reward or a combination of all three. Authors of forced vaccination bills and doctors quoting outdated information are laughably seen for what they are. The only control left for them are social media censorship and paid astroturfing firms. Opposition is now trying desperately to keep up with the daily mass awakening towards free medical and health choice in opposition to pharmaceutical influenced control. Senate and Congress members are now being made personally liable for their bills and votes after being served the Official Complaint of Research Fraud papers/report prepared by Dr. Andrew Wakefield, Dr. Brian Hooker Ph. D. and James Moody. Lawsuits are lined up ready to commence at the first sign of vaccine-induced damage from their bills. Doctors and nurses are also still on the chopping block as their perceived insulation and useful ignorance is being removed by whistleblowers admissions and mounting scientific evidence. The Nuremberg codes wait patiently to be weirded once again on a medical community that has strayed from their ideals, code of ethics and common sense.

Offer Alternative Measures
MILL VALLEY, CA – Physicians Opposing California’s Senate Bill 277 is a coalition of medical doctors who believe that SB277 will not improve public health outcomes. Physicians in California and other states call for a “no vote.”
As medical doctors, we would like to report that current vaccine policy in California is actually working quite well and does not need to be changed. Since January 1, 2014 with the enactment of CA AB2109 we feel that there is an adequate system in place. The number of personal belief exemptions is on the decline, with a 19% reduction in the number of parents requesting a waiver since AB2109 took effect.
AB2109 ensures that parents who choose to file a personal belief exemption (PBE) are making a conscious and informed decision to do so. Less than 3% of all children in California have PBEs on file with their schools, and most of these students are, in fact, partially vaccinated. The current coverage rates of each vaccine are are well above the estimated 90-95% deemed necessary to afford herd immunity to the rest of the population.
Integrative pediatrician Lindy Woodard, MD, states, “We believe SB277 is an extreme bill that would perpetuate a climate of fear and division and does not respond to the actual needs of our communities.” We are certain that California’s children will remain healthy and vaccination compliance will continue to increase without need for mandates if the following measures are taken:
CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT of meaningful testing protocols and exclusion criteria to assist doctors in identifying those children who would not benefit from vaccination.
SPREADING OUT THE ADMINISTRATION OF VACCINES – we advocate to administer fewer vaccines at any given office visit and to spread them out over time. We would like to preserve this option for at-risk children in order to reduce the incidence of health problems that can extend from high loads of vaccine additives and preservative components given at once.
SINGLE VACCINE PREPARATIONS – the development of single vaccines such that when necessary these can be given both to reduce the incidence of health problems that can extend from high loads of additives and preservatives, and to improve tracking of response to each individual vaccine component (i.e. to administer the measles, mumps and rubella vaccines separately from one another instead of in the current combined MMR shot).
In a free and open society, there is no place for coercing medical compliance. Forcing parents to choose between vaccination and access to public or private education will create both fear and resentment, as well as socio-economic destabilization for many families. We are confident that SB277 will open up the State to lawsuits from parents and organizations who believe in the fundamental right of parents to make informed medical decisions for their children.
Nowhere in medicine does a one-size-fits all approach work for every patient, therefore we should not enforce such a mandate when we know some individuals are at greater biological risk than others for suffering vaccine adverse reactions. Ultimately, medical decisions for children should be made between a parent and their family doctor.
