May 18, 2015, Wall Street Journal: China's Uncounted Children With Autism
May 18, 2015, WSB-TV Atlanta: 2 Investigates: Are the fillings in your mouth toxic?
. . . Her concern is shared by many in China, where an unknown number of children have an autism-spectrum disorder.
There isn't a reason to think China's rate of autism, a developmental disorder characterized by social and communication deficits, is very different from that of other countries, experts say. That means that there likely are millions of people in China with autism, though researchers are unsure about exact numbers.
China has a long way to go in providing high-quality autism intervention to everyone who needs it, experts say. . . .
Awareness of autism in China has grown in recent years, fueled by parental advocates and autism organizations. The government has injected significant funds into studying the condition, and in the past decade has recognized autism as a condition in need of treatment and given affected families some financial support. Autism was the focus of Sunday's National Day for the Disabled in China. As part of that, China's first lady, Peng Liyuan, visited with autistic children at a Beijing rehabilitation center.
Chinese scientists are becoming more active in research as well, collaborating with scientists internationally on a possible genetic link to autism, one of many factors thought to contribute to the condition. . . .
What are we being told here?
AUTISM IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
It's affecting CHILDREN EVERYWHERE.
China's needs to find the undiagnosed/misdiagnosed kids with ASD so she can catch up the horrific numbers plaguing America.
Notice the inference that AUTISM IS GENETIC.
Autism is swallowing up kids around the world and officials, doctors and reporters are cheering for the rate!
So where are the autistic adults in China? Why aren't Chinese doctors looking for this neglected population?
(PROBABLY FOR THE SAME REASON NO ONE LOOKS FOR THEM IN THE U.S.--- BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY SIMPLY AREN'T THERE!)
Keep in mind that China has a one-child-per-family policy. Think of the future for countless children who have no siblings to look out for after their parents are gone.
Channel 2's consumer investigator Jim Strickland witnessed a Buckhead dental office become a hazmat zone. Everyone, including Strickland, was in full hazmat gear as Dr. Michaela McKenzie removed a mercury filling.
. . . "There is a volume of science that says that mercury is a poison and shouldn't be used," Dressler said. "There are no studies demonstrating the safety of dental mercury."
And there's the FDA and ADA standing up for putting a known toxin in people's mouths. Amazing---AND AN INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER ACTUALLY LOOKED INTO THIS. (I didn't' t think there was such a thing anymore.)
I wonder if Mr. Strickland would be interested in mercury in vaccines.
