Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and Forced Vaccination?

My friends know that I am a nut for advertising. I have a tremendous recall of jingles, slogans and campaigns dating back decades. In 1980, I took a high school English course called "Intro to Advertising" and was hooked. We read Subliminal Seduction and The Hidden Persuaders which shared many of the tricks used by pharma today - conjure guilt, doubt, worry to sell this pill, that deodorant, this mouthwash.
While a junior at Boston College, I attended a presentation by a senior executive at what was then called Hill Holliday Connors and Cosmopulos, Boston's largest ad agency. The day after the presentation, I took the T to Boylston Street station, marched into the Hancock Tower to the 39th floor and asked the receptionist to please call Mr. Justin Harrington to tell him Miss Kim Rossi was there to ask him for a summer internship. I got the internship.
Paid. ($150 a week - a fortune!)
I stayed on as an intern through my senior year and had a job offer as an assistant Account Executive in May of 1985.
We've all been thinking about the current jackbooted thug push to force vaccination on parents from coast to coast. From SB277 in California to HB 6949 in my own state of Connecticut. The measles "epidemic" (insert tin foil hat emoticon here) from Disneyland was the launching pad for these bills, which seek to remove parental and personal vaccine choice.
It's Mother's Day as I type. The day we honor, respect and revere the women who gave birth to us, raised us, carry on the strength of a nation. Motherhood is indeed as American as apple pie. Motherhood is under attack by these bills. I grew up in Massachusetts - next door to New Hampshire, whose license plates read, "Live Free or Die." What happened to American freedom? Parents who allow their kids to walk from point A to point B are called "Free Range" and persecuted. Hospitals are whisking children away from their parents in a Nanny State gone wild. I believe we need a village to care of our kids - but when did the village become a military school?
What is happening to parental freedom - and soon adult freedom - that one product category - vaccination - is being thrust upon us with mandates, laws and penalties?
That got me thinking of a Chevrolet ad from 1975 that featured homey, feelgood, flag waving salesmanship for a car. Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and... Chevrolet. 1975 seems like a very long time ago.

To Re nurses week, thank you for hitting the nail on the head.
To Danchi, try reversing your chronology “after this vaccination mess gets straightened out we should criminalize [the bad behavior]”. The mess is never going to just get fixed; people have to be strong and prosecute the many, many criminals involved in this child abuse thing.

I have recently seen tributes to nurses on social media. I'm afraid I cannot agree with the nurses week tributes. They, along with the doctors of course, refuse to speak out about the vaccine schedule madness.

Happy Belated Mom's Day to all-of both genders :)
After dinner yesterday (Sunday) at a local restaurant and walking around the downtown area where their is a mixture of nostalgic and contemporary shops we saw an throwback bottle of Faygo Pop. It was made locally for many years and supplied the tri-country area with hundreds of good paying jobs which now many are outsourced. For those of you who have never had Faygo-it truly is a treat and now is made with non-gmo products & some flavors real sugar. My kids weren't even born when Faygo was in its' heyday but suddenly all of us just started humming this tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQqyDj7RX6Y. Video is old but the song is catchy.
Last night I started going through many of the "new studies" that prove vaccine don't cause autism and the other one that says being infected by measles cause a weak immune system for 3 years and only the vaccine can save you so called study, I started remembering how often I took my kids to the doctors in the late 70's & 80's and it is appalling to see what Pediatricians have digressed to. After this vaccine mess is straightened out we should push to have some laws made that criminalizes the practices of some of these pediatricians, especially the ones that have threatened parents for not vaccinating and pushing psychotropic drugs onto toddles and older children. No amount of advertising, media suppression and corrupt corporate payments/sponsorship to politicians can conceal the true vaccine situation forever. There have been too many recent vaccine casualties, and death tolls following so called 'safe' vaccine trials in the third world. The Internet also exposed an alleged attempt to sterilise women via a tetanus vaccine in Africa. France has just suspended Rotavirus vaccine and Mexico has suspended the BCG (Tuberculosis), Rotavirus and Hepatitis B vaccine.
