Doctors and researchers have been trying to learn more about what causes autism spectrum disorder and how to treat it as a growing number of children are being diagnosed with the ailment.
The School Board of Highlands County provides exceptional student education services for children who have autism, according to the state's evaluation guidelines, but some parents believe the district is denying the ESE services their children need to become productive adults.
Exceptional Student Support Services Director Pat Landress said autism has become more common in recent years.
When she started as an exceptional student education teacher in the early 1970s, the only autistic person she knew was a fellow at Ridge Area ARC.
"There were no autistic children at Avon Elementary, but for some reason it is a growing population and I don't think that anybody has figured out why yet" Landress said.
Stories like this drive me crazy and they make it clear that no one is going to do anything about autism---it's going to remain the disability that strikes children at will and that no one is alarmed about. We're happy to leave the cause a mystery. We're going to pretend that it's always been here until the rate is one in every two kids. (That'll be 2025, according to Dr. Stephanie Seneff at MIT.)
This is about meeting the educational needs of ASD kids, but it's also rampant with the standard lies:
*Experts are really trying to find the cause...
*Forty years ago, there weren't children with autism and today there are lots of them--but that doesn't mean there is really more autism...
*Autism isn't anything to be alarmed about...
*While admitting that these children will need lifelong care, there is no mention of autism among adults...
*If autism has always been here, we should already be experts at educating them. Why are parents saying their needs aren't being met?...
One of the world's leading authorities on the political and economic impacts of life sciences, Juan Enriquez, claims that the human species is evolving right before our eyes. Conditions such as autism, synesthesia, and schizophrenia may actually be a result of this evolutionary process. In fact, Enriquez says that our children or grandchildren may actually be an entirely different species when all is said and done.
Though the hypothesis may sound a little science fiction on the surface, the man behind the idea is anything but questionable. Biotechnonomy notes that Juan Enriquez "is recognized as one of the world's leading authorities on the economic and political impacts of life sciences. He is currently Chairman and CEO of Biotechonomy LLC, a life sciences research and investment firm. He was the Founding Director of the Harvard Business School Life Sciences Project, and author of the global bestseller As the Future Catches You: How Genomics & Other Forces are Changing Your Life, Work, Health & Wealth."
Enriquez questions whether or not the human species is currently evolving before our eyes. In a recent TED talk, Enriquez uses a variety of different forms of research to make a strong case for a new species of human just on the horizon.
An interesting perspective presented by Enriquez is that autism, ADD, ADHD, and sensory "disorders" are actually an evolutionary response to the amount of data that is now flowing through our brains on a daily basis. Enriquez says "we're trying to take in as much data in a day as people used to take in in a lifetime." As a result, our brain has transitioned in a way to better sort through that data.
How sick can things get?
Autism must be the ultimate curiosity for researchers. Juan Enriquez calls AUTISM just part of the EVOLUTIONARY PROCESS. He's worked at Harvard--that's certainly impressive.
I'm speechless at the inhumane response to the suffering of our children. "Enriquez uses a variety of different forms of research to make a strong case for a new species of human just on the horizon."
Let me describe the "new species of human just on the horizon." It's the young adult who can't talk, wearing diapers, chronically ill with bowel problems and seizures, prone to violent meltdowns and wandering away.
I don't call that "an evolutionary response." I call that vaccinating us back to the Stone Age.
For more than two decades, Pat Krehn, the nursing supervisor at Public Health–Muskegon County, has worked with the dozens of families from the growing religious sect and has found they're like other area citizens: they have divergent viewpoints about immunizations.
While local Amish may not be gathering information from non-credible websites or watching former "The View" television host Jenny McCarthy discuss her issues with the MMR vaccine for measles, mumps, and rubella and its purported connection to autism, Krehn said they, too, are influenced by hearsay and other media sources.
If health officials could get the Amish to vaccinate, then they could have just as much autism as the rest of the population and they wouldn't be an unvaccinated population without a significant number of children WITHOUT AUTISM.
No one is interested in the fact that Dan Olmsted found unvaccinated Amish kids DIDN'T HAVE AUTISM. It's time to make that population disappear.
Quality public school programs could slash costs, now up to $100,000 per student at private facilities.
The second-largest budget line in most school districts is the one for special education. Maine's schools spent $305,037,637 (yes, million) in the 2012-13 school year for special education services. . . . .
The incidence of autism has exploded in the past two decades because of better diagnosis as well as actual increases in the number of children born with the disorder. Early intervention using evidence-based methodology is critical for a child's future functionality.
Okay, what's the issue here? All the autism is costing schools MILLIONS! In fact HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS in the state of Maine.
In case you're wondering where all the autistic kids are coming from, it's "better diagnosis" and more "children born with the disorder."
WHY? Excuse me, why are more "children born with the disorder"?
Don't ask. No one knows. No one really cares. No one is worried.
What's the solution to the money problem? New programs to cut costs. It's the only answer. There's nothing we can do to make autism go away.
This acceptance and complacency is crazy. It defies reason. We're on a direct course to destruction.
ATTENTION MAINE! This is nothing. You can't even imagine what the cost of caring for all these disabled children for the rest of their lives is going to be. Developing new programs won't help.
Children who receive routine childhood immunizations are not more likely to develop allergies later in life, despite contrary claims from parents, and are even protected against allergic disease, a cohort study indicates.
"What we hear from parents is that vaccination leads to more allergic reactions in later life," said Olf Herbarth, MD, from the University of Leipzig in Germany.
The study, which compared vaccinated with unvaccinated children, showed "a lower prevalence of allergic disorders if children had been vaccinated, even in children predisposed to allergies, so a higher risk of allergies is not a consequence of vaccination," he told Medscape Medical News.
Vaccines NOT ONLY don't cause allergies---they protect against allergies!
Seriously, these guys could run the numbers to show anything..........
AND HEY----THIS STUDY COMPARED VAXXED/UNVAXXED KIDS???? And what was the autism rate in the two groups? No one has ever looked at these groups.
Notice only PARENTS link vaccines to allergies.
Lots of questions need to be asked. I'm sure their next announcement will be, Vaccination Protects Children Against Autism. It's the next step after, "Studies show vaccines don't CAUSE AUTISM."
So why all the kids with allergies? Better diagnosing?
Seniors are urged to get the flu shot by their doctors and pharmacists as well as by family and friends out of concern that a bout of flu could be fatal. Should seniors get the vaccine? "Absolutely not," says holistic family physician Dr. David Brownstein. "The vaccine is basically worthless." . .
"When you couple the lack of effectiveness with the mercury, formaldehyde and other toxins in the vaccine, seniors are the last people who should be getting it. Mercury, which is almost all flu vaccines given to the elderly, is a potent neurotoxin and is linked to numerous neurological and immune system problems."
The flu vaccine can cause side effects including severe allergic reactions, Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), and it has been liked with narcolepsy in children and an increased risk of Alzheimer's in seniors.
"There's no doubt that the flu vaccine can lead to Alzheimer's, because many flu vaccines are preserved with mercury, and it's a known brain toxin," says Dr. Brownstein. "You give enough brain toxins and people are going to develop memory issues."
I'm familiar with NewsMax Magazine and their news channel on DISH and Direct TV. They have alternative med doctor.
David Brownstein, MD is a featured doctor on NewsMax. He is NOT a mainstream doctor.
DR. BROWNSTEIN IS VERY CRITICAL OF THE FLU VACCINE:
Regardless of all the advertising touting the effectiveness of the flu vaccine, it's worthless, says board-certified family practitioner Dr. David Brownstein
."When you take apart and break down a recent study that the government uses to promote the flu vaccine to senior citizens, you'll find that 217 elderly people had to take the high-dose flu vaccine to prevent a single case of flu. Also, every single person was exposed to possible adverse effects," said Dr. Brownstein.
Although flu shots are promoted as safe, that's not true, says holistic family physician Dr. David Brownstein.
The U.S. health agency issued an advisory to doctors noting that flu virus samples the agency took from Oct. 1 through Nov. 22, showed that just under half were a good match for the current influenza A (H3N2) component contained in flu shots for the 2014-2015 season, suggesting the virus has drifted.

IF there is any news organization that would be open to us, it's NewsMax. Yes, they have an audience. They don't carry pharma ads. There is no one like them in the world of the mainstream media.
Nielsen Online said Newsmax was the most trafficked conservative website with approximately 4 million unique visitors monthly. A 2010 study released by Nielsen reported that Newsmax.com was the number one site for conservatives in the U.S., making it one of the most influential conservative news sites in the nation. Alexa Internet statistics for Newsmax.com indicate that the readership consists mainly of Internet users over the age of 45, which aligns itself to the average age of Republican leaning voters, as gathered by The Pew Research Center.
