The dramatic increase in the number of children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder is largely the result of changes in how the condition is reported, Danish researchers contend.

At least in Denmark, the researchers say, most of the increase -- 60 percent -- can be attributed to changes in diagnostic criteria and the inclusion of out-of-hospital diagnoses.

These findings should provide some relief for parents who've worried that the increase in numbers was caused solely by more kids actually developing the disorder, the study authors suggested....

Scientists aren't certain about what causes autism, but it's likely that a combination of genetics and environmental factors play a role, according to the U.S. National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke....

"Greater research on the causes of autism spectrum disorder is needed," Daniels said.

New study from Denmark!  (And we've certainly seen groundbreaking autism science from the Danes in the past!)

This will be faithfully reported all over in the news.  This kind of announcement is standard every few months.  It doesn't really mean anything. 

It's what I like to call the REALLY BIG LIE ABOUT AUTISM.  IF there hasn't really been an increase in the rate of autism, if Americans have always had the condition--we just called it something else, then there couldn't be a link to the dramatic increase in the number of vaccines children have received since 1983, right? 

So what if 60 percent of the dramatic increase can be explain as diagnostic changes.  What about the other 40 percent?  Oh, that's because of "environmental factors," and the link here goes to a CBS story about prenatal signs of autism and blaming older dads.  Again, vaccines are off the hook. 

We can never honestly address what's causing autism.  All efforts go into downplaying the damage we're seeing everywhere and pretending it's all one big mystery. 

I had the three comments below all set to add to the story, but it seems I'm unable to post on CBS.

[Sharyl Attkisson] says Big Pharma has actively discouraged scientific research into possible linkages, and that pharmaceutical advertisers similarly persuaded CBS and other broadcasters not to run stories questioning the risk of vaccines for certain children. Never mind that a CBS News veteran, who asked not to be named, says Attkisson's vaccine-autism reports were eventually killed not because of advertiser pressure, but because they weren't adequately supported by scientific evidence.

"The fact is, the government has acknowledged there's a link," Attkisson says, citing the recent admission  by a senior Central for Disease Control epidemiologist that he and his colleagues improperly omitted from a 2004 study the data that tended to support such a link. "They simply say it's not a causal link."

In case anyone thinks the CBS was covering up the link between vaccines and autism when they stopped Sharyl Attkisson from reporting on the subject--think again. 

Her 10 years of coverage on the controversy was based on bad science, according to a CBS source who wants to remain anonymous.

The percentage of children with autism worldwide has increased in recent years, but it's not clear whether this rise is due mainly to changes in how doctors diagnose autism and report cases, or if there is some factor in children's environment that is affecting autism rates.

Now, a new study finds that most of the rise in autism cases in Denmark is due to changes in reporting practices....

In the United States, the prevalence of autism increased from about 1 in 150 children in 2000 to 1 in 68 children in 2010, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This increase is likely due to a combination of better efforts to diagnose autism, and an increase in people with the condition, the CDC says.

We're supposed to be impressed with names with credentials and periodicals and agencies.  In the end, this is JUST ANOTHER ATTEMPT to cover up what autism is doing to our children. 

60 percent of autism is explained by "changes in reporting practices." 

So what about the other 40 percent?  Yahoo News UK is there to explain that THINGS OTHER THAN VACCINES were responsible: GENETICS, PHARMACEUTICALS, PESTICIDES, PARENTAL AGE, AND BRAIN DEVELOPMENT.

Not only that, New York doctor Andrew Adesman attributes it to the broader definition of autism. 

There is the ridiculous statement at the end: 
"This increase is likely due to a combination of better efforts to diagnose autism, and an increase in people with the condition, the CDC says."

How worthless is this agency?  How long can they close their eyes to this disaster?

Then there's this: "In the United States, the prevalence of autism increased from about 1 in 150 children in 2000 to 1 in 68 children in 2010, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention."

Actually, back in 2000, the official autism rate was one in 500 CHILDREN. 

And these have been the official stunning increases...

1995: 1 in 500

2001: 1 in 250

2004: 1 in 166

2007: 1 in 150

2009: 1 in 110

2012: 1 in 88 

BUT...the rate really doesn't matter.  The only purpose for this "study" is to ONCE AGAIN tell us that officials can explain the increase and no one is worried.

OF COURSE, doctors like Adesman can't show us the one in 68 adult with autism like we see in our children.  It's not important because no one ever asks where they are.

News reporter Sharyl Attkisson is making headlines with her memoir Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama's Washington. She details in her book how officials at CBS quashed her reports on topics that were perceived as anti-Obama, such as her reporting on the terrorist attack on our embassy at Benghazi, the "Fast and Furious" debacle, the green energy company Solyndra that went bankrupt after accepting hundreds of millions of dollars in government money, and the Obamacare disaster.

On Twitter, however, she accused the government of ignoring numerous scientific studies that showed the flu vaccine was ineffective in the elderly.

"One of the most instructive things at the time, for me, was when gov't researchers told me that even though all the studies showed flu shots didn't work in the elderly, they figured the STUDIES were wrong because they 'knew' flu shots worked!" she tweeted.

"Kind of reminds me of today's CDC that looks at all the scientific links between vaccines and autism but 'knows' it can't be so, so it changes the study data or finds other explanations for why the data says what it says," she wrote.

In a blog (sharylattkisson.com), she wrote how a study almost ten years old was ignored because the results weren't what were expected. "It found that after decades and billions of dollars spent promoting flu shots for the elderly, the mass vaccination program did not result in saving lives," she wrote. "In fact, the death rate among the elderly increased substantially.

I love Patty, the nurse PR practitioner in internal medicine, who's been practicing for almost 20 years, who says, "I don't get the flu shot and I don't get the flu."   

"I had a number of patients, probably a dozen last year in the office, come in with the flu.  I asked all of them if they had a flu shot--and they had a flu shot. ...The bottom line: the side effects outweigh the benefit.  It doesn't cover all the strains, PLUS IT HAS POISON IN IT.  IT'S BIG PHARMA.  IT'S NOT NECESSARY. 

Notice the participant in the protest saying: "Please do your own research..."

"Hi, I'm Gina and I'm a registered nurse and I've worked in the health care field for about 24 years.  I chose not to get the flu vaccine for many reasons, but my main goal today is to ask people to please BE INFORMED.  I have a copy here of the flu vaccine insert, this comes in the box with the flu vaccine to your doctor's office.  So please ask to see it.  Ask your doctor about it.  Please be be informed.  Don't take my word for it, please do your own research and look at the ingredients what what exactly is in a flu vaccine.  It contains formaldehyde and a compound called Triton X-100, which is a detergent use in paint thinners and many other cleaning products.  SO PLEASE, before you get the flu vaccine this year, do your own research and ask your doctor lots of questions."

We all need to ask ourselves when vaccine promoter Paul Offit EVER said "BE INFORMED."  Regarding vaccines, we're just supposed to believe HIM!
