Nov 5, 2014, (VIDEO) Headline News: Nancy Grace Learns On Air That Families Cannot Sue Pharma For Vaccine Injury or Death
Even though Nancy Grace is a lawyer, not even she knew that Congress had removed the rights of Americans to sue for vaccine injury and death. Because of this, even though, as Rebecca Estepp points out, that the government has ruled in hundreds of cases that the flu shot can cause the ADEM (Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis) that Marysue Grivna suffered, doctors like Amy Edwards can still go on TV and claim... gosh... we just don't know if and how flu shots and ADEM. We think it is just a coincidence.
As usual, Becky Estepp is outstanding in her comments about the vaccine injury suffered by a 10 year old Florida girl, Marysue Grivna.
Transcript:
Dr. Amy Edwards, Infectious disease specialist, said ADEM is rare and can occur after measles, having the flu, or a variety of infections. "We don't yet know what the exact trigger is."
Nancy Grace asked if can occur after vaccinations.
Edwards: "It seems to be correct, although we're not a hundred percent sure. About five percent of ADEM cases have a temporal, like a time association with vaccines, but it's not clear whether that's just because kids get vaccines and they get ADEM and those just happen to happen at the same time or if a vaccine can be a trigger for ADEM. "
Next Nancy Grace had on Becky Estepp, Director of Communications at Health Choice. She had strong words about what happened to this child.
Estepp: "I feel that Mary Sue should not have been collateral damage in a war against the flu. I know that the flu can be bad for some people, but in 10 year old girls, it's not really. I appreciate what the doctor is saying, but the child was vaccinated and there hasn't been research. That's so true. I wish that she and other doctors would go to the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program and look at the people that have been compensated for ADEM and for the flu shot. So far we have 800 compensated cases."
Nancy Grace: "I think what you're saying is that there is a link between the flu shot and Mary Sue's illness. What exactly? Put it in plain terms."
Estepp: "We have a Vaccine Injury Compensation Program here in the United States because parents cannot sue a vaccine manufacturer to injury due to any vaccine. No one can. What you have to do is petition the government."
Nancy Grace: "Becky, hold on. You just told me something I did not know. ...If your child or you get the vaccine and you end up paralyzed, like Carla's little girl, Mary Sue, you can't sue the manufacturer, Diana? Why?"
Diana Aizman: "Because they don't want to discourage vaccine companies from making vaccines. Obviously they're very important from a public health perspective. ..."
Nancy Grace: "A seemingly perfectly healthy young girl gets the flu shot, then is left paralyzed. Is there a connection? "
Nancy Grace seemed incredulous at this point on the liability protection given to the vaccine makers.
David Benowitz:: "Our government has made a policy choice. that as a society, we want these vaccines to be made in huge quantities and we don't want these drug companies to be facing these lawsuits, if something goes wrong. So these funds are set up to compensate these people."
The conversation continued and Nancy Grace revealed that while she's pro-vaccine, she insisted that her children have their vaccines "spaced out."
I can only imagine the reaction of people watching this show. "You mean the vaccine makers aren't liable for side effects from their vaccines?" The thought that follows is, then they don't have to worry about making a really safe product.
Dr. Edwards didn't have to respond to the Estepp's comments about all the cases of vaccine-induced ADEM compensated by the federal government. To Edwards, there was no recognized link.
Something is VERY WRONG with a system where we have a SECRET GOVERNMENT COMPENSATION PROGRAM that lets vaccine makers off the hook for injuries. People need to understand that there is no such thing as INFORMED CONSENT when it comes to vaccines.
The goal of the NVICP is really, in the words of David Benowitz, "We don't want drug companies to be facing these lawsuits if something goes wrong." It's not to make sure any injured child is provided for.

When , your doctor tells you , "NO the vaccine did not cause your child's illness, will you confidently fill out a vaers report? I spoke to a woman this weekend whose daughter started having seizures at seventeen after her hpv vaccine. This girl was set for a sports scholarship, was a new driver, and has been forced to give it all up. I asked her if she would consider filing, she said, no, there's no point, the doctor is baffled, he would suggest it if he thought for a minute the vaccine was responsible, and he hasn't. I suggested she go on the internet and google, hoping for her seeing the facts that so many girls are suffering from the hideous side effects of that vaccine may encourage her to file.

You're right. It isn't technically a secret. But it isn't advertised. Doctors and lawyers don't know about it. They don't learn about it in their professional educational programs, before or after they earn their degrees/licenses to practice. The average person doesn't know about it. The press doesn't report on it. Kids in school learn all about vaccines, but they don't learn about it.
So, technically you're right. But since the VICP is deliberately kept out of the public consciousness, in that respect, it can be considered a secret program.

Friends, Benowitz says that the government has made a "Policy Choice". Kindly put that on your list of vaccine euphemisms. In reality , what Benowitz is telling us is " The government has made a policy choice that some children will have to die , to protect the herd and we dont want that to impact on the manufacturers who absolutely must keep churning out millions of doses of vaccines. To my mind this begs the question, " And what mechanism do you have in place to decide at which point the number of deaths is not worth the benefits ?" For now, it seems that this aspect is left to the reviled anti-vaccine fringe.

Unfortunately .. the problem of not holding the vaccine industry accountable for damage suffered following vaccinations .. is compounded even further by VAERS .. the vaccine adverse event reporting system .. which by any measure .. appears to be a completely flawed system described as "passive" .. a euphemism for "submissive" or "inactive" .. which relies completely on voluntary reports by those manufacturing, recommending, approving and administering vaccines .. with "underreporting" of adverse events one of the main limitations.
That is not my own description of VAERS .. it comes straight from the VAERS site:
"VAERS is a passive reporting system, meaning that reports about adverse events are not automatically collected, but require a report to be filed to VAERS. VAERS reports can be submitted voluntarily by anyone, including healthcare providers, patients, or family members. Reports vary in quality and completeness. They often lack details and sometimes can have information that contains errors.
"Underreporting" is one of the main limitations of passive surveillance systems, including VAERS. The term, underreporting refers to the fact that VAERS receives reports for only a small fraction of actual adverse events. The degree of underreporting varies widely. As an example, a great many of the millions of vaccinations administered each year by injection cause soreness, but relatively few of these episodes lead to a VAERS report. Physicians and patients understand that minor side effects of vaccinations often include this kind of discomfort, as well as low fevers. On the other hand, more serious and unexpected medical events are probably more likely to be reported than minor ones, especially when they occur soon after vaccination, even if they may be coincidental and related to other causes."
Admittedly .. VAERS acknowledges that "more serious and unexpected medical events" are "probably more likely to be reported than minor ones" .. but .. the words PROBABLY MORE LIKELY TO BE REPORTED .. are a poor substitute for words that would REQUIRE such "serious and unexpected medical events" be reported ... as well they should.
