Sept 2, 2014, WHDT TV: Jackson and Sharpton Silent on CDC Whistleblower
We told you recently about a new whistleblower inside the CDC, Doctor William Thompson. Thompson says he stayed quiet for over 10 years after finding a link between vaccines in young black children and autism. Thompson also says the CDC knew about this link, and purposely manipulated the evidence to remove "Black Babies without birth certificates" from the study. The initial report showed a 340 percent increase in autism among black boys under 36 months old.
In a carefully worded statement, the CDC clearly admitted they "DID NOT present data, because the children without birth certificates lacked meta data on risk factors - including Race."
In years past, activists Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have gone toe-to-toe with agencies and organizations all over the country. But this time, at least for now, they are strangely quiet.
While both men have been busy in Ferguson Missouri for the shooting death of one man, this new report indicts the Federal Government of shooting thousands of black babies with a dangerous vaccination.
Where are the leaders of the black community in the CDC/MMR scandal? These same people would describe the Tuskegee Experiment where black men were allowed to suffer the ravages of syphilis while health officials took notes to be an abomination. What about the willing actions of the CDC to cover up a clear association between the MMR vaccine and autism in black boys, guaranteeing that countless more such children would suffer?
Gary Franchi at WHDT TV asks where the response from the African American leadership is in this. And if they haven't heard about it, who's preventing the story from being reported in the mainstream press?

You mean like an "Occupy the CDC"?

No, their "silence" has nothing to do with price. In situations like this it helps to be objective. When you already have an opinion, every piece of evidence seems like it's the emphatic proof.
Those of us with loved ones affected by autism have a much deeper understanding and interest in these matters. That being said, each one of us have researched more on autism then these men ever will.
This just isn't as important to those who aren't directly impacted by autism. Also, if you think a higher prevalence in a specific race merits an uprising you are mistaken. Autism and vaccinations will not be a popular topic among these men until it becomes a popular consensus.
Until the majority believes Vaccines cause autism these men who call themselves leaders will never rise to this cause. Their voices may have once risen for conviction, but now self preservation trumps truth.
Don't wait for someone else to say what you think. Go to Washington and scream it yourselves. Better yet, go to Atlanta and fly your flag. If you believe others need to rise up and speak your words with their voices, you've lost. Stop reading about the past and start writing the future.

Sharpton and Jackson and the NAACP must be flooded with requests for a comment on this subject. They are apparently refusing to comment.

@Twyla:
I get your points, BUT, this is the first time, to my knowledge, that there has ever been a causal link regarding vaxes and autism in any specific ethnicity or race - only gender - up until now.
It is reminiscent of the early days of AIDS when it first came out that is was a "Haitain" or a "gay" problem which therefore meant that most of us could sigh in relief and turn a blind eye. After all, wasn't it "their" problem for "them" to deal with?
Fast forward a couple of years from the apathy towards vax injured children and witness more and more adults now being coerced into vaxing for employment reasons. Like with AIDS, it isn't just the parents of ASD children's problem any longer.
The early AIDs activist LITERALLY put the writing on the walls- with graffiti on the sides of buildings - warning that the AIDS virus was part of a depopulation agenda. Since it was a different, more naïve world back then, the messages, to a large degree, never took.
Today's zeitgeist is altogether different however, The majority feels betrayed, jaded and disgusted. The plutocracy knows this and have become increasingly dangerous in trying to desperately hold on to the status quo as witnessed in the increase in surveillance and shocking erosion of civil liberties.
The bottom line is to EXPECT deafening silence and inaction from media and elected officials, most of whom are beholden to the corporate bottom line.
Parents of ASD kids are certainly harried, but we are a grounded, smart, tenacious, passionate group an d if we are ever successfully organized and mobilized, we have the potential of being a force of nature.
Keep it at. I remember ten years ago when I would warn people that vaxes caused my child's autism, they would just look at me with pity and politely nod their heads.
Ten years later, when I tell people the same thing, more often than not, they tell me how they are bearing witness to the truth due after seeing their friend or relative's child regress into autism after vaxing.
Try contacting traditionally black colleges to spread the word. Dr. Cornell West, Tavis Smiley, and Color of Change's R. Robertson too on behalf of our AMERICAN children.

"strangely quiet"? No stranger than all the white leaders and reporters who are quiet about white vaccine injured children, or Latino and Asian and Native American leaders and reporters who are quiet about vaccine injured Latino and Asian and Native American children.
1) Most people are completely brainwashed by the constant barrage of PR and propaganda saying that: science has spoken, there's no link between vaccines and autism, the tiny risks from vaccines are so much less than the huge risks of diseases, and we must support the vaccine program or terrible diseases will return and we'll all die of the flu and chicken pox.
2) I love MSNBC where Al Sharpton works, but they have so many pharma ads. They would lose a lot of ad revenue if they alienated pharma. I've been posting on Rachel Maddow's FB page, and argued with Chris Hayes's story about vaccines a few months ago, but it's like talking to a wall. They all want to report on so many issues - politics, wars, the economy, etc. - I don't think they want to risk throwing all that away in order to report on vaccine problems.
Bill Maher touched on the vaccine controversy in a couple episodes of his show, and wrote a good article on HuffPo:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bill-maher/vaccination-a-conversatio_b_358578.html
But that was all he was willing to do. He said he didn't want the job of vaccine advocacy.
It's very rare for anyone other than the vaccine injured and those with a vaccine injured child to take up this cause, to see beyond the propaganda, to be willing to go out on a limb and put a career at risk.

Diane,
That's hilarious about Dorit's "disbelief"! I'll have to check out her FB page.

Hi David M Burd,
Thanks for the overview.
Here is another aspect. Where is Rep Posey going? And what if anything can he achieve?
What is the overall strategy for change? What objectives are there?
You can achieve an objective if you know what it is but it is much more difficult if you don't.
Campaign strategy and objectives? Leadership? Co-ordination?
All of these things are ingredients to achieve change. And what is the change people want to achieve?

Hi ChildHealthSafety, Always good to ask, you are right. Myself, I have presented co-wriiten papers (from credentialed scientists, as I am) on serious health issues to Presidential Staff, and have never been given any response at all. But then, we co-authors are not members of government-paid officialdom such as CDC and NIH.
I agree, it never hurts to ask for attention to a critical national health issue, but as history shows, it is a rare, if not extinct, Chief Executive (or their Staff) that has any knowledge whatsoever of health/sciences fundamentals. What they do is to call the Chiefs at CDC or NIH (such as the Chief Villain Anthony Fauci at NIAID) who are actually THE PROBLEM.
Yourself, keep trying at every level, God bless --- Myself, it pays off with grassroots' action and passing on information (to our everyday contacts) kept censored by the mainstream media and our criminal Government Agencies such as CDC and NIH, information thanks to the internet and publicly shown by such as AoA, SafeMinds, VRAN, NVIC, etc. Cheers!

Hi David M Burd,
So sorry to pop your balloon. That is a pretty negative perspective. If you don't ask you can't get. Just because you think you might not get an answer is no excuse for not asking.
Regardless of what you think might happen, the questions need to be asked. If they choose not to answer that is their choice and people can be told that is what they did and it is a matter of record come election time. But they could also answer.
Politicians need to be challenged. With such high rates of autism in the USA the parents and grandparents and uncles and aunts of every autistic child could swing the next election.

I'm literally sick to my stomach. I was curious what Dorit the Exploiter was posting on her fb page. She does not believe the text messages between Wakefield and Thompson are true and she has interpreted for her fb friends what was really texted between the two. Sad.

Anne, if AoA approaches Obama, Sharpton and Jackson to report their positions on this then the establishment's print and broadcast media will have to accept that as they are not reporting, then the new media like Age of Autism will have to do it and take over.
The establishment's media will have to accept that if they create a news vacuum then others will fill it whether they like that or not. So lets see it happen please.
Posted by: ChildHealthSafety | September 04, 2014 at 08:55 AM
ChildHealthSafety, sorry to pop your balloon but even if AoA sponsored a $multi-million dollar Democratic Fund Raising Soiree, Obama would probably only send a emissary from the CDC, though of course Obama would dispatch a $10 Million dollars/flight presidential jet to Atlanta to squire around the CDC official (who will exclaim to all that "vaccines are safe and effective.") In a similar vein, this also applies to Jackson and Sharpton. Don'tcha just love how our tax dollars are spent?
Posted by: david m burd | September 04, 2014 at 08:47 AM
Anne. Here is the question: When is Age of Autism going to approach Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Barak Obama for quotes about the CDC knowing MMR vaccine causes autism in black boys at over 3 times the rate for other kids, hiding the information and publishing fraudulent research to cover it up.
Ask them what have they got to say to black families in America and what they are going to do for the children who have been harmed.
Ask them what are they going to do about the serial child abusers in the CDC responsible for this. This is serious abuse of children on an industrial scale.
What is worse about Coleen Boyle, Dr. Frank DeStefano, [Director of the CDC Immunization Safety Office] and their playmates is they did not do it because they are psychopathic lunatics. At least there is an explanation with a psychopathic lunatic.
They did it for the quiet life to pay their mortgages even though US whistleblower laws would have protected them if they spoke out like those laws are protecting Dr William Thompson right now.
Did they have their kids vaccinated? Did they tell their friends and family to have their kids vaccinated?
Is Al Sharpton going to warn his family and friends. How about Barak Obama and Jesse Jackson?
We all want to know.
When is AoA going to report on this please?

"First, this information does not confirm that there is a link between MMR vaccine and autism. It suggests that the vaccine may increase the risk for African-American boys. So let’s keep things in perspective."

What an idiot.

Anne,
Its no good complaining about it.
You have to ask them.
Ask Obama, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton all at the same time and see who answers first.
Look forward to seeing it in print. Don't forget to phone their staffers first to tell them you are going to be asking and writing it up on Age of Autism.
And if you don't want to do it, how about Dan Olmsted? He's the former UPI editor and knows how it is done.
Sharyl Attkisson might do it if Dan does not want to. That is if someone asks her very nicely.

Please add the NAACP to the list. I personally sent articles to them. Maybe they are waiting for corroboration from another whistleblower.

Well, it is evident that corporate money talks. They don't care about anything except for easy money and their careers. Shame to them.

I just posted a comment asking this same question to another story Anne. Thank you for asking it again. Where is the outrage?
Posted by: LB | September 03, 2014 at 08:02 PM
Thanks, Anne. Gary Franchi puts out a strongly worded challenge about the silence.
Ben Swann has an article up on Dr. Thompson:

@John Stone:
(re quote from Sears)
I guess that comment from Sears WOULD make sense if the unfortunate black babies impacted by vax injury are to be considered sub-human or only 3/5 of person, like back in the old days.
Can someone tell him that the Confederates lost the war?
Posted by: Handthatrocksthecradle | September 03, 2014 at 07:59 PM
Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are world-class race hustlers...they would NEVER go against the hand that feeds them, meaning big-daddy federal government.
They could care less about a 340% increase in poor black folk - if they can't get political mileage out of the issue, they could care less.
You know it. I know it. And they know it.

Hi Anne,
I wonder how Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would react to the comment of Dr Bob Sears:
"First, this information does not confirm that there is a link between MMR vaccine and autism. It suggests that the vaccine may increase the risk for African-American boys. So let’s keep things in perspective."
