June 15, 2014, Truth-Out: How the EPA Faked the Entire Science of Sewage Sludge Safety: A Whistleblower's Story

BBC

Almost half of adults with autism are afraid to leave the house in fear of facing abuse or harassment, according to a charity.

The National Autistic Society spoke to 1,300 adults on the autistic spectrum and found 37% of those asked had been manipulated to do something they did not want to do.

Back in 2009, the British produced a study based on a survey that claimed to have found a one percent autism rate among adults. SO--it was proof that autism has always been around (and therefore there is no link to the ever-expanding vaccination schedule).

Now further research on adults in Britain explains why we're not seeing lots of adults displaying the same signs of autism that we see in our children--they're too scared to go out.

(AND, if we believe the statistic that says half of all autistic children are prone to wandering--that accounts for the whole population. Half of the people with autism are afraid to leave the house and the other half wander away at will. The only problem is, I don't see reports of autistic adults in their 40s, 50s, and 60s going missing. Those stories are almost always about CHILDREN WITH AUTISM.)

Again...please don't show us someone who's articulate enough to talk about their fears and please don't show us anyone under 30.

Still waiting....

Pictures that give a glimpse into our life with autism. Pictures that may show how distinctly different our lives are from yours because of autism. Or pictures that may show how similar our lives are regardless of autism.

...This road isn't easy. It's not a road my children or I chose, it was given to us. However, my husband did choose it. He could see through the IEPs, the struggles, the countless specialist appointments, the tears, the bathroom issues, the self-injurious behaviors, the public displays of tantrumming. He could see through it all and see how beautiful and amazing my boys are. And he decided to take it on.

This is a nice glimpse of autism. It shows a loving father and happy times. I hope readers also look at the text because it's about how hard autism can be for families.

Truth-Out:

US EPA's 503 sludge rule (1993) allows treated sewage sludges, aka biosolids, to be land-applied to farms, forests, parks, school playgrounds, home gardens and other private and public lands. According to a recent EPA survey, biosolids contain a wide range of mutagenic and neurotoxic chemicals, which are present at a million-fold higher concentrations (ppm versus ppt) compared with their levels in polluted air and water (1). Biosolids contain all of the lipophilic (fat-soluble) chemical wastes that once polluted our rivers and lakes, but which now settle out at sewage treatment plants and become concentrated in sewage sludges. Most biosolids contain ppm concentrations of heavy metals, including chromium, lead, and mercury. They contain similarly high levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and semi-volatiles, such as bis (2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate, Benzo(a)pyrene), and polybrominated diphenyl ether congeners (PBDE flame retardants). Most biosolids also contain pathogenic agents and ppm levels of many common drugs, including ciprofloxacin (Cipro), carbamazepine (Tegretol, Equetro), and fluoxetine (Prozac).

While my life is pretty much consumed with coverage of autism, I can't ignore this. This is horrible. I think it's pretty safe to say that any unethical practice or product can be made legal. This is from David Lewis, the author of Science for Sale.

Why are there so few people like Lewis who actually have a conscience and the courage to tell the truth?

Imagine what we're not being told about.

This BBC story is about very high functioning types with comorbid psychiatric disorders. The man in the video says he was diagnosed with Aspergers as an adult.Very different situation.

A lot of people, here and elsewhere I have commented, have gotten kind of upset when I suggested wandering might be related to seizures that cause temporary blackouts, because that was what caused my wandering.People with epilepsy without autism are also known to wander.Especially frontal and temporal lobe seizures

As for being articulate, there is a big difference between someone with HFA/Aspergers and someone with mito who has atypical autism.Look at videos of Hannah Poling, and how articulate she was. That's atypical autism, like I have.

You know as well as I do,you are not going to find anybody over thirty with the autoimmune syndrome vaccine damaged kids have.I think you just like to say that.I'm sure there are some older adults with either autism or a psychiatric diagnosis who have undiagnosed mito or lupus as an underlying cause.

But it's very likely these people will never be found out, because they are in residential treatment centers, and have been for years.I was unique because my mother cared enough about me to have me live with her until she died so I could get some help and answers. Most families are not like this.

A few years ago, Austin's version of a biosludge "soil conditioner" - cutely named Dillo Dirt - caused a wave of skin rashes when attendees at an outdoor concert sponsored by the City's famed South by Southwest music festival sat on grass that had recently been treated with it. Around the same time, I wrote a blog piece on the subject. http://blog.fluoridefreeaustin.com/2010/02/03/wwwwwwww.aspx

Incredibly, for a time the Dillo Dirt label actually called it what it is: sewage sludge.

Needless to say, the truth attack was short-lived, and today the City continues to defend its "product", renamed biosolid, with every fiber of its being.
