Take Action: Mayor Bloomberg Pushes Flu Shots for Kids
Take Action: Bloomberg pushes forced flu shots for kids
First NYC-only forced shots, Hearing 10/23
Take action HERE.
In the waning days of his last term New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is attempting to ram through a new rule in the Board of Health that would “require children under six years of age to receive an annual influenza vaccination and be immunized against pneumococcal disease.” New York City would join New Jersey and Connecticut as the only places in America where children are forced to get flu shots. This is an unprecedented use of the Board of Health to implement an NYC-only vaccine schedule.
There will be a public hearing on October 23rd and written comments will be accepted. We encourage you to attend the hearing and send comments.
And please click on the Take Action Link to send a message to the members of the NYC Board of Health expressing your opposition to this scheme. Detailed reasons are below.
Please attend the public hearing:

Here are just some of the reasons why this proposal should be rejected:
Healthcare decisions for children should be made by parents without interference from an appointed board.
Nothing in New York State Law allows local governments to require mandatory vaccines. New York has more than 2100 local governments. Do we want to open the door for 2100 different mandatory vaccine regimes?
Mayor Bloomberg is violating state law by refusing to allow medical exemptions from vaccine mandates. As has been documented in the press, New York City has begun arbitrarily refusing to accept medical exemptions.
Mayor Bloomberg has implemented an illegal quota on religious exemptions limiting religious exemptions to 1.4% of all students at any school, which is a gross violation of the First Amendment rights of New Yorkers and a violation of the New York State Public Health Code, Section 2164.
Flu shots are ineffective. There are 900 strains of flu and the flu shot contains antigens to only 3. And the effectiveness of the shot against the selected antigen is often negligible.
Mayor Bloomberg has presented no evidence that the mandatory shots would benefit in anyway the children receiving them.
Half of all flu shots still contain quantities of mercury wildly in excess of maximum daily exposure limits set by the FDA. A 40 lb. four-year old injected with a mercury–containing flu shot would be exposed to more than 1400% mercury than is considered acceptable for an adult.
According to CDC Wonder there were no confirmed deaths from influenza in New York in children younger than 5 in 2010, the last year that data is available.
Pneumococcal shots are also ineffective. The pneumococcal shot has not been proven to reduce pneumococcal disease due to changes in the pneumococcal strains in circulation, which is why the 23-valent pneumococcal shot was rushed into production.
According to a 2007 study the 7-valent pneumococcal shot was not a cost-effective intervention, and that study presumed otitis media would be reduced, which has proven not to be the case. Without a reduction in otitis media 66% of the presumed benefit of pneumococcal shots was eliminated.
If this ever comes to Texas I guess they will have to lock me up. The only freedom they want us to have over our bodies is to abort another human being.

Bloomberg and Gates are all connected by their wallets. Is there any way to find out how much money they have invested in these
flu shot manufacturers? These rich people try to eliminate or reduce the poor ones.

"Bloomberg thinks the "people" are idiots who need the government to make all decisions for them to save them from their stupidity. He is the embodiment of the term "nanny state"."
Doomberg payed about 180 bucks for each vote he received. Government by oligarchy?

This fool knows what is best for ALL of us NO exceptions? Why because he is rich? It only takes a few hours to figure out the "flu shot" is a deadly scam ESPECIALLY for kids.

Bill Gates thanked Mayor Bloomberg for his generous contribution to The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation earlier this year on "Charlie Rose" on Bloomberg Television. Bill Gates and Mayor Bloomberg appeared together on the program.

I don't understand the Connecticut reference. I've lived on Connecticut for the last 7 years and my kids have never had a flu shot. All four of them attend public schools. I just fill out a waiver.

Yeah, this is exactly what New York children need, six (or seven?) more inefficacious flu "prevention" assaults on their neurological and immune health.

For those of you from out of New York, Mayor Bloomberg is widely known in the city as The Emperor. He actually changed term limits under the law so that he could have a third term, and then changed the law back after he got a third term, saying he didn't believe mayors should serve for three terms (except him). Naturally, he knows what medical treatment is best for every child, no exceptions.

Is it too late for AoA to start the process for us to purchase a full-page ad in the NY times? I would think we could raise a lot of money in a couple of days to pay for it.
Seems to me it's now or never.
If the mandatory flu shot goes through, there's no stopping what comes next.

Why do I not find this surprising? Bloomberg thinks the "people" are idiots who need the government to make all decisions for them to save them from their stupidity. He is the embodiment of the term "nanny state".

Bloomberg should watch the video AoA posted this morning from Safeminds.
