I have a friend who slips a "Autism parent" shirt on every day. She says it keeps the wolves at bay, lessens the approaching "do gooders" that suggest parenting skills need to be honed. I think it might be a good idea ..once while trying to pry my son off of a water fountain, a mother said to me, your son is the reason I won't send mine to a pre-school, I don't want him picking up that kind of behavior. First time I said fu in public.. a shirt may have helped!
