Andrew Wakefield on Vaccine Failure And Questions for Dr. Salisbury
Dr. Wakefield talks about vaccine failure, the alleged corporate response, and poses further questions for Dr. Salisbury. Please go to the YouTube page and click "like" and share the link with friends and family. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BASKGep-CH0&feature=youtu.be
I think what we, as a global society, have been subjected to has been aggressive "scientific marketing" by whoever runs these pharma companies and their inadequate (properly controlled) science. This has been compounded by their fundamental/incomplete understanding of proper immune response against rather benign diseases, and protection by a number of institutional (legal, governmental, protective) entities. In large part, these institutions have failed and a fairly large group of citizens have been irreparably harmed.
From my blog:
A _1985-1986_ time frame paper by a naturopath (Moskowitz ?) contained a number of things that bear keeping in mind. First, he pointed out that neither measles, mumps nor rubella are life threatening and are generally self- limiting. I would submit that those of us in the “older generations” had those illnesses and survived without any/many lasting health effects.
Next, and this is a key issue, by directly vaccinating individuals with attenuated (ie, live, weak strains) or even dead strains of the varied disease causing organisms, an improper, limited immune response occurs and becomes conferred. It is one that would be concerned with an aggressive immune response when one is fighting off pathogens which have entered the blood system rather than a normal immune response occurring (lung, gut, etc) to fight off pathogens who have entered the body via the oral route.
The 1985-6 paper indicated that we, as a society, would trade short-term illness for extremely long term chronic illness as a result of pursuing a public health strategy for vaccinating individuals against a raft of, in my opinion, rather benign pathogens- including MMR, chicken pox, etc.
Sadly, in my opinion, a society increasingly burdened with members unable to function in many meaningful ways has slowly developed and his paper appears remarkably prescient.

Superb post Jenny
In the US there are currently two court cases against MMR vaccine manufacturers Merck, for allegedly falsifying the long term efficacy of their Jeryl-Lynn mumps vaccine, a component of the MMR vaccine. Mumps is becoming endemic in young adults, many of whom become exposed to it when they start university or college. Most of these young persons have been vaccinated with at least one dose of MMR vaccine. Young adult males can be rendered sterile by contracting mumps, but the disease is comparatively mild if contracted in childhood. I'm not surprised by the concerns expressed by Cardiff University regarding mumps. These concerns will be common to most UK Universities. As for the 'measles epidemic' in Wales. Where are the April laboratory CONFIRMED cases? There were only 8 in March and 26 since January 2013.

Measles outbreak: Students urged to get vaccinations after confirmed measles case at Cardiff University
7 May 2013 16:20
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/health/measles-outbreak-students-urged-vaccinations-3419948
Extract:-
"Cardiff University contacts all students via email to urge them to contact their GPs to have MMR vaccine as soon as possible. A University spokesperson confirmed the email had been sent as a precautionary measure after a first-year student was confirmed to have the disease,(measles),on Wednesday, May 1.
The email, sent from the university’s announcement account, said it had been asked by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board to help with its vaccination programme, while an increasing number of cases of mumps had also been seen within the university population."
I think we can safely assume Cardiff University is far more concerned about its students contracting MUMPS than measles!!

'Merck has known for a decade that its mumps vaccine is "far less effective" than it tells the government, and it falsified test results and sold millions of doses of "questionable efficacy," flooding and monopolizing the market, a primary caregiver claims in a federal antitrust class action'
What does Dr. Salisbury say about the above comment? Dr. Wakefield will go down in history as one of the fearless doctors who challenged the safety of the MMR vaccine and saved many children from becoming vaccine damaged.

"It is becoming more and more obvious that MMR vaccine - where it doesn't cause irreparable damage - can only provide protection for a limited time."
What is so exceedingly sad about this whole "vaccination" imbroglio is that for example a healthy non-eventful case of the wild measles is natures plan for a healthy immune system.
IMO a healthy case of wild measles only becomes harmful when the child is lacking in vitamins, minerals and the other fundamental elements of sound health.
The ineffectiveness and unintended consequences of measles vaccination. ~ by Dr Viera Scheibner (PhD)
“One of the most disconcerting discoveries in clinical medicine was the finding that children with congenital agammaglobulinaemia, who could make no antibody and had only insignificant traces of immunoglobulin in circulation, contracted measles in normal fashion, showed the usual sequence of symptoms and signs, and were subsequently immune. No measles anti-body was detectable in their serum (the water part of blood minus clotting factors and cells).[3]” Measles as an Index of Immunological Function, The Lancet, September 14, 1968, p.611.
"We studied 20 children with measles in Long Beach, Calif., and found that 50% were vitamin A deficient. This frequency among presumably well nourished American children supports evaluation of vitamin A status as a part of acute management of measles in the United States.[4]” Antonio C. Arrieta, MD, Margaret Zaleska, RN, Harris R. Stutman, MD, and Melvin I. Marks, MD, Vitamin A levels in children with measles in Long Beach, California, The Journal of Pediatrics, July 1992, p.75.
“Measles infections can be beneficial. Dr. Peter Aaby et al. and his team found that children who survived natural measles had a much higher survival rate from all other infectious causes than other children. Children who had had the measles vaccine, had a lower rate of survival and the worst group in terms of overall survival from infections, was the group which had neither measles vaccines nor measles disease” Aaby P, Simondon F, Samb B, Cisse B, Jensen H, Lisse IM, Soumaré M, Whittle H.Low mortality after mild measles infection compared to uninfected children in rural west Africa. Vaccine. 2002 Nov 22;21(1-2):120-6.PMID:12443670
“Asthma and allergies prevented by natural measles disease. As shown by Shaheen et al. (1996), even in a developing country having measles is beneficial: it prevents atopy: “After adjustment for breastfeeding and other variables, measles infection was associated with a large reduction in the risk of skin-prick test positivity to household dust mite . . . 17 (12.8%) of 133 participants who had had measles infection were atopic compared with 33 (25.6%) of 129 of those who had been vaccinated and not had had measles”. Measles Vaccines Part II; Benefits of Contracting Measles ~ by Dr Viera Scheibner (PhD)
“Well-managed natural infectious diseases are beneficial for children. When infectious diseases of childhood are not mismanaged by the administration of antibiotics, or by suppressing fever, the diseases prime and mature the immune system and also represent developmental milestones.” Measles Vaccines Part II; Benefits of Contracting Measles ~ by Dr Viera Scheibner (PhD)
The more you study measles the more you will see "vaccination" is not the answer. If you want to prevent serious cases of the measles and most other childhood diseases making sure of your child's vitamin status and immune system is the way to go IMO. Simple cases of measles are salubrious and should NOT be avoided but encouraged.

If the vaccinated MMR group are now contracting Measles, does this not open-up an opportunity for the Pharmaceutical Industry to develop another vaccine to combat the "new" outbreak?

Well that is what we need.
After all the years of dealing with a vaccine injury
speech,
psych evaluations
talking to psych's,
epilepsy
tourettes,
fine motor skills damaged
low muscle tone
ADD
Now in the mid 20s we have to be afraid that now - Oh now he catches the mumps-- a simple disease now could be a major problem.
Well don't that just tear it.

The recent Oban, Scotland, mumps outbreak statistics posted by Angus Files, are very similar to those referred to in the Sedbergh private school outbreak publicised by Professor Ashton, i.e. a majority of the children had received at least one dose of MMR vaccine.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/10024138/Measles-risk-claim-angers-private-schools.html
From above:-
"Prof Ashton, who is soon to become president of the Faculty of Public Health, representing all public health doctors, was director of public health in Cumbria last September when there was an outbreak of mumps in Sedbergh School, one of Britain’s largest boarding schools, which infected 66 pupils.
When doctors were attempting to manage the outbreak, they found that of those cases, 31 involved pupils who had not received the MMR jab — which protects against measles, mumps and rubella — or had only been partly vaccinated, or whose records could not be established."
In the UK, the 'establishment line' is pushing the dangers of 'not fully vaccinated'. In other words, they are urging 'boosters' on everyone, even although one dose of vaccine is supposed to immunise 90-95% of the time according to 'official' figures. THAT's what parents of young children were led to believe.

It is becoming more and more obvious that MMR vaccine - where it doesn't cause irreparable damage - can only provide protection for a limited time. [Hence the recent insistence on 'boosters.] Is it not unwise to push chances of contracting mumps in particular up into teen years, when mumps can have a dangerous outcome for males?
http://www.heraldscotland.com/comment/letters/mumps-vaccination-programme-jeopardises-male-fertility-rates.16794385
Even then, a booster MMR appeared to be ineffective.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21371413
"A total of 53 cases [of 119 cases] had received two doses of measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine,in accordance with the United Kingdom vaccination schedule, while 33 had received only one dose and 30 had not been vaccinated."
They just don't work!

It is well said. Of course, it was also an issue with the abandoned Urabe version over Jeryl Lynn that it was thought to be more immunogenic as well as unfortunately being more reactive (Tomljenovic p.8)
http://www.ecomed.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/3-tomljenovic.pdf
Which may further show how inherently problematic vaccinating against mumps is. The Tomljenovic paper mentions that Elizabeth Miller's lab was supposed to be investigating this issue while a decision was being made about the future of the Urabe vaccine, though I can't find what conclusion was reached if any.
The other scary thing is that the JCVI, just as they slipped mumps vaccine unnecessarily onto the schedule, are now flirting with Hep B (which in the UK we have hitherto been spared) as part of hexavalent vaccine to be administered with Menigitis C (and no doubt rotavirus):

By an incredible coincidence, when Andrew Wakefield puts out a video challenging the efficacy of the mumps vaccines---voila! the NYT publishes this:

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/07/health/maurice-hilleman-mmr-vaccines-forgotten-hero.html?_r=0
(Personally speaking, when I hear the name, Maurice Hilleman, I think of...'91 Memo Warned of Mercury in Shots, February 08, 2005)

(Do you get the feeling that Wakefield's work stopped Hilleman from getting the Noble Prize for Medicine?)

Something further to consider with vaccination?
http://www.ageofautism.com/2012/09/aofa-science-summary-do-childhood-mumps-protect-against-ovarian-cancer.html
A Google search on "Merck ovarian cancer drugs" doesn't come up empty either. How dependent financially and invested are the pharmaceuticals upon our use of vaccines to alter the way things work? Does the industry really want to know? Do they have an inkling, and just hope to keep the rest of us going along happily or otherwise?
Even if the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing in all this effort to improve upon the natural state of things, can the pharmaceutical giants and all those in government who hope to or do now work for them be considered without COI in determining vaccine recommendations. There at least seems to be a pervasive "Don't rock the boat!" mentality that makes me ask how confident--should I ask how unconscious--can the industry/governmental agencies be in their true value to mankind, as they are apparently so unwilling to have public debate nor to support vaccine safety research?

For sure Carol I hope this bit of mud sticks..vaccines are formulated to keep the outbreaks going because it's great for repeat business!just like the shedding from the MMR in Wales look at the increase of reported measels cases since they started vaccinating..shedding..

"Merck has known for a decade that its mumps vaccine is 'far less effective' than it tells the government, and it falsified test results and sold millions of doses of 'questionable efficacy,' flooding and monopolizing the market, a primary caregiver claims in a federal antitrust class action.
Alabama-based Chatom Primary Care sued Merck on Monday, the week after the unsealing of a False Claims Act complaint two relators filed in 2010.
Those relators, Stephen Krahling and Joan Wlochowski, were Merck virologists who claim in their unsealed complaint that they 'witnessed firsthand the improper testing and data falsification in which Merck engaged to artificially inflate the vaccine's efficacy findings.'"
