Controversial Doctor and Autism Media Channel Director Proven Right
March 8, 2013 Austin, TX
Two landmark events -
a government concession in the US Vaccine Court, and
a groundbreaking scientific paper – confirm that physician, scientist, and AMC Director, Dr.
Andrew Wakefield, and the parents were right all along.
In a recently published December 13, 2012 vaccine court ruling, hundreds of thousands of dollars were awarded to Ryan Mojabi,[i] whose parents described how “MMR vaccinations," caused a "severe and debilitating injury to his brain, diagnosed as Autism Spectrum Disorder ('ASD')."
Later the same month, the government suffered a second major defeat when young Emily Moller from Houston won compensation following vaccine-related brain injury that, once again, involved MMR and resulted in autism.
The cases follows similar successful petitions in the Italian and US courts (including Hannah Poling[ii], Bailey Banks[iii], Misty Hyatt[iv], Kienan Freeman[v], Valentino Bocca[vi], and Julia Grimes[vii]) in which the governments conceded or the court ruled that vaccines had caused brain injury. In turn, this injury led to an ASD diagnosis. MMR vaccine was the common denominator in these cases.
And today, scientists and physicians from Wake Forest University, New York, and Venezuela, reported findings that not only confirm the presence of intestinal disease in children with autism and intestinal symptoms, but also indicate that this disease may be novel.[viii]
Using sophisticated laboratory methods Dr. Steve Walker and his colleagues endorsed Wakefield’s original findings by showing molecular changes in the children’s intestinal tissues that were highly distinctive and clearly abnormal.
From 1998 Dr. Wakefield discovered and reported intestinal disease in children with autism.[ix] Based upon the medical histories of the children he linked their disease and their autistic regression to the Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR vaccine). He has since been subjected to relentless personal and professional attacks in the media, and from governments, doctors and the pharmaceutical industry. In the wake of demonstrably false and highly damaging allegations of scientific fraud by British journalist Brian Deer and the British Medical Journal, Dr. Wakefield is pursuing defamation proceedings against them in Texas.[x]
While repeated studies from around the world confirmed Wakefield’s bowel disease in autistic children[xi] and his position that safety studies of the MMR are inadequate,[xii] Dr. Wakefield’s career has been destroyed by false allegations.X Despite this he continues to work tirelessly to help solve the autism catastrophe.
The incidence of autism has rocketed to a risk of around 1 in 25 for children born today. Meanwhile governments, absent any explanation and fearing loss of public trust, continue to deny the vaccine-autism connection despite the concessions in vaccine court.
Speaking from his home in Austin, Texas, Dr. Wakefield said, “there can be very little doubt that vaccines can and do cause autism. In these children, the evidence for an adverse reaction involving brain injury following the MMR that progresses to an autism diagnosis is compelling. It’s now a question of the body count. The parents’ story was right all along. Governments must stop playing with words while children continue to be damaged. My hope is that recognition of the intestinal disease in these children will lead to the relief of their suffering. This is long, long overdue.”
Dr. Andrew Wakefield is a best selling author,9 founder of the autism research non-profit Strategic Autism Initiative (SAI), and Director of the Autism Media Channel.

Hi Patrick Jalbert;
That is a seriously strange map, isn't it?
You might want to compare it with this map of autism rates by country, which shows the USA with one of the top autism rates.
https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/autism-rates-by-country
The top three countries for autism are Hong Kong, South Korea and the USA. The USA rate of autism is 1 in 54 now.
In comparison, Africa has no country wide figures for autism at all that I could find; if you can find them please link to where they are; the best guess was about 1 in 100 or so from Kenya?
So, it seems imo, that all that map is, is basically pretty colors not based on accurate prevalence data? Also, how strange that they specifically focused on children under 5, given that many children in the US don't get an autism diagnosis until they are at least five and go to school. Don't you think autism rates by diagnosis would have been a more sensible choice, if they wanted to compare countries?
Of course, many of these third world countries now have highly vaccinated children under 5, after the Gates Foundations programs, often with vaccines that have been rejected for their unsafe profile in first world countries. ( Oral polio is only used in third world countries, for example; have you looked at the huge increases in cases of paralysis in third world countries?)
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30111741/
We used polio surveillance data acquired by the Government of India from 2000⁻2017. Correlation of the NAFP rate to the number of polio rounds in the state was examined, and the cumulative effect of polio doses administered in previous years was sought. NPAFP rate correlated with the OPV pulse polio rounds in that year (R = 0.46; p < 0.001), and the NPAFP rate started to decrease from 2012 when the number of pulse polio rounds had decreased.
NPAFP stands for paralysis cases ( non polio acute flaccid paralysis , to be exact)
Polio pulses/polio rohttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulse_vaccination_
The pulse vaccination strategy is a method used to eradicate an epidemic by repeatedly vaccinating a group at risk, over a defined age range, until the spread of the pathogen has been stopped.
( This means giving repeated doses of polio vaccine again and again to the same child...)
My own guess is once we vaccinate these children at the same level as our first world children, we will start seeing huge increases in vaccine injury, since many of these children are also vitamin deficient or malnourished, and may be less able to cope with vaccines.I expect autism rates to climb higher and higher there too.

Please could you help me with this map of the world showing that autism is more prevalent in the poorer unvaccinated parts of the world than in the first world. This does not seem factual, so I checked out who the designers of the map and its underlying research was, and it led ultimately to a Gates Foundation funded enterprise.
Here is the map showing prevalence of Autism worldwide done by:
Global Burden of Disease Collaborative Network; Map: Andrew Witherspoon/Axios

I do not kow how to get this queried, and I have noticed that epidemeological studiesseem to be able to be massaged into any desired end-result. I would be grateful for insights into this.

"This is good news. Dr. Wakefield is a hero. May he be fully exonerated soon."
Doctor Wakefield has been my hero from day one. Can you imagine a world where just 10% of pediatricians would stand up vocally for a rational "vaccine" administration adapted to the individual child; where parents could simply say no to any "vaccine" or combinations of "vaccines" with no pressure or repercussions?
This medical "vaccination" tyranny could not exist.
Posted by: Lou | March 16, 2013 at 07:55 PM
IMO we have seen enough, more than enough, evidence for parents to unequivocally and adamantly REFUSE the MMR. This "vaccination" is proven to be a LOT more trouble than it is worth.
As Doctor Wakefield has said it certainly does not help that the triple soup "vaccine" combination shot, the MMR, was NEVER tested even perfunctorily.
How in havens name can ANYONE "trust" these people; all those involved in the MMR disaster, BIG Government, BIG Medicine, BIG Pharma, HHS, CDC, doctor Offit, other sellouts of the truth with a doctor in front of a name and the front line drug pushers our friendly family pediatricians. All these "our protectors", AUTHORITY, have known or should have known for well over a decade this disaster of a "MMR vaccination" was harming and killing our children. Instead of investigating, discovering the problem(s) and rectifying the multiple mistakes? they colluded, stalled, covered up, followed known false trails and participated in the maiming and deaths of our children.
NEVER again! The truth about the MMR must be disseminated to the ends of this earth; for now it is the turn of Indian, Chinese and other children to be poisoned, maimed and killed.

For all those with affected children, the book "Gut and Psychology Syndrome" by Natasha Campbell-McBride MD is a must read, and helps connect the dots of autism, and food allergies etc.

"Tested" for autism? Really?
Posted by: For Jessica | March 12, 2013 at 07:23 AM
Great News! I hope this news spreads fast and wide. I'm feeling greedy - any chance the control group w/no inflammation & no diagnosis was comprised of unvaccinated children? I haven't finished the entire article yet.
@ Jessica: I believe you if you do not think your child got autism from vaccinations. That doesn't mean vaccines are not a main cause of other children's autism. And, it's a misnomer to say just because they are twins they had an identical environment. Depending on the placental/umbilical cord set up in the womb, one child can get way more nutrients and anti-body protections, or conversely, toxins, than the other. Just one (extreme) example of this would be twin to twin transfusion syndrome. Discrepancies in levels of amniotic fluids in each amniotic sac could also indicate two different environments, which can lead to differing development of organs like kidneys and brains and hearts, predisposing them to different reactions both before and after birth to many things, including vaccines.
Posted by: Jenny | March 11, 2013 at 10:33 PM
I have twins one is autistic and one is not. They both had a modified vaccine schedule. I do not believe its the vaccines. You can't get a more identical environmental and genetic representation and to only have one diagnosed. Both were tested at 20 months. I don't know what caused it in our daughter but I am confident it was not a vaccine in our case.
Posted by: Jessica | March 11, 2013 at 08:55 PM
Sandy, part of loving our children is protecting them from things that harm them. For some of our children, vaccines have caused harm.As loving parents, we try and prevent them from being harmed further, and try and heal injuries that have already occured.
All of the children deserved to be loved and protected. You might want to look at the main article for today on Alex, the 14 year old non verbal boy who was in restraints for 19 days , that people here have been doing their best to support.
Many of these kids don't have any "special abilities" but they still deserve to be helped. And protected from harm.

We all love our children but that's just hokum and media whimsy, designed to distract from the issues. For every Temple Grandin or Stephen Wiltshire there are hundreds of thousands struggling. You betray them by making up fairy stories.

Please do not call children or adults with autism damaged! All people with autism have abilities, many that exceed typically developing children and adults!
Posted by: Sandy Miller | March 11, 2013 at 08:46 AM
@nd: Thank you again. Your explanation was very helpful to me.
@ldb: I've watched 4 generations in my family deal with various autoimmune conditions and with some other conditions I suspect linked to the same causes. Both of my grandmothers even shared opinions with me that the onset of some chronic health problems followed a vaccination--memories I recalled only after trying to understand what was happening with my daughter on the spectrum and first hearing of the vaccine link. I've felt appalled for a while as it seemed like vaccines are an obvious exposure to suspect and to research, especially once I began to understand how many of these conditions are auto-immune conditions (and it seems like that list keeps growing) and how vaccines are designed to artificially boost an immune response.
I kind of wish I could figuratively shake the medical/scientific community by the shoulders and say, "That you have not officially connected the dots yourselves or, at the very least, researched honestly the possible role vaccination may play in these conditions makes you look either pretty stupid and absolutely unqualified to help me and all those I love, or look collectively something worse! Which is it?"
Without liability, the only incentives I can see for this kind of research are institutional integrity or humanitarian impulses, but it appears, at the national level at least, these considerations, even if in the majority, are more and more rendered inoperative and the answer is becoming the latter, i.e. something worse than ignorance is operating.

The majority of babies born today have blood taken in the first days after birth to screen for mostly rare genetic disorders. http://genes-r-us.uthscsa.edu/ . As an example, infants are screened for galactosemia, a metabolic disorder where there is an inability to digest milk sugar. If not caught early and treated with an appropriate diet, these children can suffer liver, brain, kidney and eye damage. It can lead to death. It occurs in 1 out of every 60,000 births (for Caucasians) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001405/
Acknowledging that some infants and children will suffer devastating severe reactions to vaccines, whether we argue what the true rate of these reactions are, the government acknowledges that they do occur, although they propose that they occur rarely. Well, if it is worth screening for 1 in 60,000 births to detect galactosemia, why not fund research to determine why some children do not tolerate vaccination so that they can also be saved? In fact, maybe it is already known which children will react? Genetic samples of all children later diagnosed with ASD have been taken and are in the possession of state laboratories. I assume that they are being kept in a database. Could the samples of ASD children be compared to neurotypical children? What would it take to analyze what they already have? Is anyone doing this?
It may not be a genetic difference that predisposes some children to adverse reactions. It may be other factors or a combination of factors.
And as I read over what I just wrote, I realize that it is not being done probably because the toxicity of these drugs will be exposed and that would be bad for sales. If the government and vaccine makers had faith in these products, there would be aggressive attempts to screen the population for those that wouldn't tolerate them, just as with other infant screening tests. They just don't want to go there. So frustrating and sad.

Dear Jeanette Bishop,
Too bad the government will not fund these studies and make sure our children's vaccines are safe. I believe the parent's of children with autism have ask and ask and ask for independent scientific studies for years and years and years. My family can show you some same age matched differences, including the addition of more thimerosal added in vaccines.
from mother of High function autism child born in 1989 and grandmother of child born in 1998.....no other autism in our family of 3 older adult children and 7 other thimerosal and MMR free grandchildren

@Jeannette Bishop
An earlier report showed that there are gene expression differences in healthy vs. diseased (Crohn’s disease) in the same child.
I think that this study compared groups of children to show that there are differences in gene expression in both typically-developing children and in children with ASD between healthy tissues and diseased tissues. However, there were also differences in gene expression between diseased tissues in children with ASD and diseased tissues in typically-developing children. It’s too bad that the authors did not include children with ASD who did not identifiable GI pathology for comparison to the comparable control group; as it is, it’s unclear whether the observed differences in the ASD samples are due to an autoimmune condition, as the authors claim, to developmental differences (the ASD and control groups were not age-matched), or perhaps due to genetic differences in children with ASD compared to typically-developing children such as those Dr. Walker reported last year.

Some aspects of Dr. Wakefield's crucifixion suggest he was chosen at random. Whether that's the case or not, he's the one who was given the brightest spotlight and widest coverage. But he says what happens to him is irrelevant, that we must concentrate on healing these kids. So while I go around shouting how he's my hero, let's give a moment to the hundreds, possibly thousands of doctors being persecuted for helping these kids and the doctors who speak and write about natural wellness sticking a wrench in western medicine's well oiled machine. Decades prior to Dr. Wakefield's Lancet paper, doctors publicising their concerns about such institution policies as water fluoridation, vaccines, the way food is grown, raised or made, toxin emissions by industry, etc., have seen their careers destroyed too. It seems most never had any hope of even a hint of vindication in their lifetimes. We only know of them because of the like minded ones that write books in our time. And we know them to be correct now.
Most of us have DAN! or biomed doctors. I know mine has a big target on his back, but he does not stop. All the speakers at Autism One conferences and ARI conferences are those same doctors with those same threats looming for them. They have similar legal issues to those of Dr. Wakefield, but with no publicity. They do not stop. There are those that run sites like this one. They run against the grain and raise the ire of poison peddlers who by the way have deep enough pockets to squash us all, and they never stop either.
Pray for your own biomed doc as well as for Andrew Wakefield.

I can think of a zillion times I have been hopeful in ten years; it's time to give up. We will soon be sold on the idea that it's like winning the lottery if you have an autistic child because you will have a child prodigy. If you have an inconvenient autistic child; then you will be labeled a bad parent because you have abused them so horribly that they refuse to talk, won't use the toilet, and injures themself. The government will take these childrent away, parents will be jailed. "Out of sight out of mind"

Thank you! To be more clear is the gene expression observed in inflamed tissues of the gut known to be different from healthier areas of the gut within the same individual? I guess I'm asking if this shows something is altering gene expression only in the inflamed tissue (if that even makes sense in this context)?

Benedetta,
Interesting link about celiac. I wish the effect of breastfeeding would be at least mentioned in these articles though. It does make a difference. The rising rate of celiac could be in part attributable to formula feeding. Infant formulas have changed many times over the years, and there are different brands and types, each possibly exerting a unique effect on gut development and disease.

@Jeannette Bishop
The conclusions that can be drawn from this study include:
(1) The microscopically-observable differences between tissues affected by different inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD: Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis) are reflected in differences in gene expression
(2) Children with ASD and GI disease and typically-developing children differ with respect to gene expression in bowel tissues--as the authors concluded: “[Differentially-expressed transcripts] in ASD-GI cases are distinct from both IBD [in typically-developing children] and non-inflamed typically developing controls, although overlap exists between ASD-GI and IBD gene expression profiles.”

“Dr. Wakefield’s crucifixion is a desperate well-orchestrated effort to restore faith in risky vaccinations that the majority of people worldwide no longer trust”
~Dr. Horowitz.
We noted that in connection with the harassment of Dr Wakefield simultaneous broadcasts from radio stations worldwide announced that his work was fraudulent and they interviewed “experts” who all said that the MMR vaccine was safe.
We tuned in to several European and African radio stations. Questions and answers in the interviews were identical, irrespective of from where they were broadcast in the world.

I would like for the word "autism" to step aside for those kids, like my daughter, who suffered adverse reaction and brain injury after a cluster of vaccines, to include her gut being shredded by the MMR.
Thankfully for physicians like my daughter's M.D. and the ongoing research of Dr Wakefield, who recognize without a doubt that she, along with 1000's of others are medically sick, perhaps the tide will shift to ensure the health and well being of all children.

Our "Wakefield Babe" is now 20, and still suffering terribly with his 'guts'. Since the Royal Free discharged him in 2002 with a downgraded diagnosis of 'chronic constipation' he has received only laxatives and mild painkillers, both of which disagree with him. My heart aches for the thousands, possibly millions of children growing up just like him.
Following publication of the 1998 Lancet Wakefield et al paper, "Ileal-lymphoid-nodular hyperplasia, non-specific colitis, and pervasive developmental disorder in children", Dr Wakefield advised UK children be immunised with single spaced out doses of Measles, mumps and rubella vaccines, whilst further safety research into MMR vaccine was carried out. Ignoring this sensible, pragmatic advice will go down in history as one of the biggest blunders in humanity.
I hope I live long enough to see those responsible held to account.
