Are you saying that we mustn't become complicit in this semantic 'name game' playing because it is in effect 'criminally deceptive?' John I am not disputing that fact, but I don't see that is is up to us to categorically define the vaccine injured as Autistic. Only that this condition is, in its manifestation, similar to Autism. If, in future research it is ultimately scientifically proved and agreed by All that the vaccine MMR does result in Autism, then fine. But until that happens I dan't see any reason why parents can't also change the name in order to qualify for financial help. Am I being disingenuous?

John is it not an obvious step to start calling this disease exactly what the Court has decided it can be called, for reasons of compensation. This Forum, on its 7th anniversary could be the very beginnings of a turn around in these families fortunes, by simply leaving aside the name Autism. And call itself instead The Vaccine Injury Encephalopathy Forum. The fact that the symptoms of all these children so injured mimics those of autism is irrelevant surely to the more urgent need for recognition of the vaccine injured. We parents are not scientists, well some indeed maybe. But what parents need is HELP. URGENTLY. If these lawyers who were successful in their cases at the court simply by avoiding the word AUTISM then so be it. Let us all follow their lead. What do others say?

S/he has really got some serious spare time on their hands to dredge up entire passages that people have written and link to them and I caught s/he and Alain (lurker) making some very rude/inappropriate remarks about certain people in our community who are on the spectrum. It's kind of sad, actually the way she encourages Alain. I notice another of them Liz Ditz has posted something saying the story about 40 children being paralyzed by Menafrivac is probably false, which is pretty hilarious since she does admit there is a local paper in french (which I'm sure she can't read) which does give a report on the situation. She says, it can't be proven yet, so it's probably false- which makes no sense. She's also trying valiantly to drum up something inappropriate about some anti-vaccine blogger, I suspect this is in retaliation for increased awareness of those creepy "Skeptic" (Stop AVN) threats involving actual threats and creepy phone calls to the home ('die in a fire' etc.- traced to the home of the creepy SAVN member) and horrific violent pornographic images-so bad you can't even link to them. One of those creepy 'Skeptics' has at least been ordered to stay away from Ms. Dorey.
I thought it was funny recently when they tried to put forth the idea that there really aren't too many of us who question vaccines and participate in efforts to ensure more honesty and safety to do with vaccines. I'm sure some of them operate under many different names and are paid- not all of course but definitely some of them.

I hate to veer into debbie downer territory here too, but the rot won't be stopped with a mere pruning. It's thrilling that these court cases are being won, don't get me wrong, but there are so many fun censorship and control tools in their boxes now, you can't even imagine. The whole setup is about corporate profits, and a massive and "important" sub-class of consultants exists to serve. Their job is to walk the fine line between profitability and crime. But now that the entire state apparatus is functionally administered by these corporate entities(naturally including the justice branch), they no longer have the bother of criminality to worry about; be these the consultants of the pharma, military, or finance industries.

The Daily Mail's comment censorship is just a precursor I'm sure. Now with the legal imperative to shut the internet down in times of national upheaval, and the domestic intel companies' extensive experience with enforcing censorship in China, I'm not too optimistic that the fight will be short or easy. The bureaucracy is more than in place.

The statistics on poverty in the US are mind blowing. The US is already a 3rd world country. I wonder if this tragic situation is not a result of massive brain damage by vaccines of entire American population. This must be by design.

The question is: who is behind this American zombification and genocide? Are there actually federal or state laws, which require children to be poisoned by vaccines to be able to attend public schools, which teach them nearly nothing? If there are no laws, who allows the corrupted bureaucrats to place such demands on children. Parents must revolt against these rules, there must be a strong national movement against current vaccine tyranny similar to the abolitionist movement.

Thank you for making that excellent point! My daughter, nephew, and I had serious mercury-related reactions when the mercury was potentiated by viruses. You're right, it's very likely that the autism reactions after the MMR are caused by the live viruses in the MMR potentiating the stored heavy metals from vaccines. Does anyone know if there are any MMR autism people who hadn't gotten any heavy-metal-containing vaccines previously?

Just finished watching ABCnews' feature on flu shot whether or not it causes flu. Until the medical community stops denying that flu shots cause flu, there is a bleak hope they will also accept that vaccines cause autism.

The judge in Emily's case was worried that her ruling - which she was no longer able to avoid- would in some way give parents of children suffering under the banner of autism "hope." Who the f**ck does she think she is? Sorry some magical pixie-dust didn't cover this diagnosis up. Give us "hope"? Geez, I lost that a long time ago.

However, I am grateful that Emily and her family, after many years of struggle, will be able to receive the therapy/treatments she needs. At least the vaccine tax we pay for the greater good is going to one family and child in desperate need.

Ryan's parents testified that they made numerous phone calls to their pediatrician in a short period of time and talked either to the doctor or one of his nurses. The doctor, however, didn't remember any of these calls. (Don't know about the nurses.) In the absence of documentation, the special master found the doctor more credible.

Maybe it would be a good idea to record important phone calls with doctors.

Nearly every case of autism is a form of chronic vaccine-induced encephalopathy. I don't know any other. The term autism is an euphemism.

We cannot have 'Rogue doctor' Andrew Wakefield being proven correct about his MMR vaccine concerns after all these years, and NO - The Mail didn't publish my comment either!! Still at least The Mail editors were brave enough to cover the story in an honest unbiased way.

And at what point do you start saying he had encephalopathy and now he has autism?

Also - by the time we get to the autism part -- the three years from the FIRST SIGN of injury as long past.

I totally agree. The Cedillo case 'fell' due to the legal team's failure to present the logical 'pathway' of vaccine administration >encephalopathy > neurological damage >autism.

Nonetheless, these two cases are very significant. I sincerely hope this leads to both an official acknowledgement and public awareness that vaccines CAN cause autism. Thank you David Kirby for 'digging this out' and writing this article, and YES this vindicates Andrew Wakefield's much vilified MMR vaccine concerns.

I have been thinking and saying over the last few years that instead of saying our kids have autism it would be better to say they have vaccine-induced encephalopathy instead. Apparently the lawyers in these two cases along with the families involved were successful because they called it what it should be called.

Plus by calling it this instead of autism, families won't be lumped in with such crazies as the folks over at Neuro-Diversity, etc. who refuse to acknowledge that "autism" can be vaccine-induced. Something we might all keep in mind for the future.

David's column not only exposes the awarding of millions of dollars in compensation to the families of children who were diagnosed autistic after receiving the MMR vaccine .. but .. it also exposes the unduly harsh difficulties these families had to endure while facing hostile adversarial US Justice Department lawyers . whose primary interest appears to be protecting the BILLIONS of dollars in the compensation fund .. rather than .. protecting the interests of parents whose child was injured by a vaccine.

David's column should be sent to every member of Congress who attended last year's "autism hearing" .. especially Reps. Issa, Cummings, Gosar, Meehan, Tierney, Posey, Yarmuth, Maloney and Buchanan. These representatives at least expressed an interest in identifying what has "caused" the epidemic of autism .. as well as .. asking critical questions of the CDC and IACC on their poor performance to date in dealing with autism as a "crisis" rather than a "concern".

I intend to forward a link to David's column to each representative mentioned above .. so they can learn that vaccines CAN CAUSE AUTISM .. as well as .. the failure of the Vaccine Court to "expedite" claims in a "non-adversarial" atmosphere.

Remember .. that BILLION dollar FUND was paid by consumers of vaccines .. specifically to award parents JUST COMPENSATION when their child is injured by a vaccine .. IT WAS NEVER INTENDED TO BE WHAT AMOUNTS TO A PRIVATE SLUSH FUND GATHERING INTEREST FOR HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES.
