We need to help these people affected with Autism

Liz Zurn

I'd love to attend. My name is Liz Zurn and I have a six year old son with Autism. We can't attend because we literally MOVED OUT OF THE STATE because the services available and the insurance coverage for our child was so much better elsewhere. Shame on Virginia!

Indiana Coalition for Vaccination Choice

We are Tim and Karmen Wagler. Our 16 year old son suffered severe health consequences just after receiving the MMR as a baby. . We can not attend this hearing due to financial constraints. It is very expensive to care for a severely vaccine injured child. He requires 24 hour a day care. We thank Congressman Burton for all he has done for our families forever harmed by our vaccine program. It is way past time for honest unbiased research into the true consequences of multiple vaccinations on our nations children. To continue to deny the harm that has already been done and witnessed by tens of thousands of families and many healthcare professionals is incredulous. We are not going away and we will not be silenced. As our numbers grow daily, so will our strength. With or without the government, we will expose this practice in an effort to save future children. Will you be a part of this effort to get to the real cause of our "autism" epidemic or simply continue the status quo as thousands more children and families fall victim to "autism"?

Anne McElroy Dachel

I can't attend because most of my time and effort is devoted to advocating for children with autism--a much neglected population. We've had 2 decades of soaring autism rates and completely helpless health officials. All they can do is repeat endlessly that there's no known cause or cure. Autism is a nightmare affecting an epidemic number of our children and no one seems to care. The frightening truth is, autistic children become autistic adults and they have the potential to bankrupt us. What issue could possibly be more critical to the U.S. Congress?

Becky Rubens

My name is Becky Rubens. My 4 yr old son Riley has severe vaccine induced regressive autism. Congress has got to take a more aggressive approach to this fast rising crisis of an epidemic. I cannot attend because I have to work two jobs to pay for special diets, supplements, and therapy for my child, which are things I believe our government should be helping families attain at reasonable costs.

Jason Maroney

My name is Jason Maroney of Tampa, father of 4, one of which is Tyler Maroney, who has Autism. I would love to attend the hearing, and believe strongly that Congress needs to take a much more active approach to why and how we are going to deal with this growing epidemic. I cannot attend because I cannot afford it after so much of Tyler's therapy, supplements, doctor's visits and hyperbaric treatments are not even remotely covered by insurance. We are drowing in debt, but do so because there is NO alternative.
