Adults with Autism Chained in Philly Basement
The adults in the story from PHILLY are not said to have autism - but this article got me to thinking of how little progress we are making in the autism world to prevent the landslide of impaired (yes, impaired) adults from falling into a world of decreased benefits, social apathy and continued insufficient medical care. While our sponsors work tirelessly on shoe string budgets to help families, the larger picture for autism in America is grim. KS
"Mentally Disabled" adults is code word for the vulnerable and gullible and weak among us that make perfect prey for the wicked. In the years I have been dealing with autism, I have been warned by "professionals" that they are often "groomed" for later taking advantage of them and their innocence.

That pic and caption literally had me laughing out loud. The absurdity is becoming the reality.

Ay Yi Yi, more anxiety for us parents wondering how to protect our kids after we are gone.

I don't know how people can do such horrible things to people with disabilities. I worry so much about my own sons future when my husband and I are gone.
We both need to live at least to 150 years old.
