How can any argument convince a government bent on protecting vaccine makers from its injury victims that their job is actually to protect consumers from vaccine makers? Before compensation plans were developed, vaccine makers were being litigated out of business. In 2010 The U.S government gave blanket immunity from all forms of litigation to vaccine makers. The vaccine makers who are supposed to be guiding the health of the planet. These phony humanitarians tell us vaccines are safe and side effects rare and mild. Good sales pitch and proper marketing technique, but its just not true. Why were they found at fault in court over and over? Why do they need this protection? Now with government protection and no fear of litigation, there are no safeguards. If vaccines were unreliable and damaging when there was threat of litigation, imagine why safety studies will be bothered with now? FDA approval means one thing in today's world, it's approval to start real time safety tests on unsuspecting consumers. We hear "you accepted the vaccination and accepted the risk" That's hardly fair and certainly shouldn't have been legalized, but it has by politicians who are supposed to put our interests first.

Seizures and Brugada's syndrome? Someone should have done a medical case report. At the very least, a VAERS report should have been made. I wonder how common concomitant seizures (with or without fever) and cardiac arrhythmias are. It's difficult to explain both phenomena on the basis of genetics-alone. Is blood flow to these organs being impaired by the vaccines? Is vaccine-induced ischemia triggering fevers, seizures, arrhythmias, apnea, and sudden unexplained death? Is vaccine-induced ischemia the "terrain" in which arrhythmias, seizures, apnea, and sudden death originate? Are inflammatory cytokines, activated macrophages, "new" adjuvants, aluminum salts, thimerosal, non-human DNA, virus-like particles, and ionophores (e.g. polysorbate 80 and/or triton 100) involved? Was a high-sensitivity C-reactive protein level measured? We need answers. We can handle the truth.

Studying the relationship between febrile seizures, arrhythmias, and vaccination might prove easier than studying the relationship between autism regression and vaccination, because of the temporal relationship and the possibility of using the patient as their own control group.

How common are seizures in Kawasaki Syndrome patients? How often does a vaccination preceed diagnosis of KS? Within hours, days, or weeks of a vaccination?

It is not necessary to invoke a common genetic basis to explain febrile seizures. Why? Genes for disease are a mirage (see link below to article by Latham and Wilson). Furthermore, the kinetics appear to be wrong. The temporal relationship between vaccination and the febrile seizure should be carefully documented. Protein synthesis and other post-transcription events take time. I am concerned that the ionophores plus metals in the vaccine schedules may be acting as chemoconvulsants. I am also concerned that they might affect the thermoregulatory centers in the hypothalamus. The kinetics seem about right for “something” administered parenterally resulting in febrile seizures within hours after administration. Phase transfer agents solubilize and mobilize the metals which might otherwise flocculate or simply sediment-out, once they hit the bloodstream.

Prior to my son's ProQuad (MMRV) at 12 months Merck sold roughly 200,000,000 doses of the vaccine at $124 per dose. The vaccine was on the market less than 2 years. On September 6, 2005 ProQuad was approved by the FDA. Merck removed it from the market in May of 2007.

As per Merck's own statistics of seizures developing in 9 out of ever 10,000 vaccinations, 200 million doses would yield 180,000 seizures. 9% of all febrile seizures result in prolonged febrile seizures, seizures lasting longer than 10 minutes, 16,200 children suffered serious brain injury (autism, developmental delays) and 37,800 developed epilepsy. Curious, if the chances of your child having serious complication of the flu scare you, shouldn't it also be a cause of concern that your child may receive a seizure brought on by an MMRV vaccine?

And if your child has a febrile seizure, he will roughly have a 1 in 10 chance of developing serious brain injuries as a result as well as a chance of developing epilepsy, which is associated with ASD.

These febrile seizures do not really go away, if they are really febrile seizures in my son's case they were not.

Seizures show up when a body is stressed and a fever would be a stress - what we are dealing with are idiots called neurologist.

Been to one this week by the way. My husband now has myclonic jerks. He keeps telling me they are not coming from the brain, my epileptic son tells him that his myclonic jerks don't feel like they come from his brain either.

The neurologist did not seem to think it was a big deal that my husband is now having myclonic jerks almost constantly. I asked her that the more myclonic jerks you have the more likely he is going to have a grand mal seizure. She said not at all. That myclonic jerks does not mean that they are seizrues and she says they are like hiccups. Hiccups - a common thing for sure and that just puts me at ease. But wait; hiccups is one thing and myclonic jerks that almost throws you off your feet is another thing.

This all happend 20 years ago from a tetanus (Really a DPT shot) and he is getting worse not better. I know that scares many here to death and it is not what I want to hear either since I have two kids that have been damaged by DPT shots too. I am thinking about throwing all food away and starving them for as long as it takes, that and all those vitamins. There must be more that I can do?

Flu Shots Simply Don’t Work

Numerous studies have shown that flu shots simply do not work.

For example:

· According to the 2006 Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, 51 separate studies concluded the flu vaccine worked no better than a placebo in 260,000 children ranging in age from six months to 23 months.

· A study published in the October 2008 Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine found flu vaccines in young children have made no difference in the number of flu-related doctor and hospital visits.

· As reported in a 2004 publication of the Archives of Disease in Childhood, a study of 800 children with asthma concluded those receiving a flu vaccine had a significantly increased risk of asthma-related doctor and emergency room visits.[6]

· A more recent study released at the 2009 American Thoracic Society International Conference showed children with asthma who received FluMist had a 3-fold increased risk for hospitalization.[7]

And not only are vaccines ineffective in preventing flu in your children, they are equally useless for adults, including the elderly.

· According to the 2007 Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, studies of over 65,000 healthy adults concluded vaccinations reduced the risk of flu by only six percent, and reduced missed work days by less than a single day. Vaccinations did not reduce the number of people who sought medical help or took time off from work.[8]

· The 2006 Cochrane Database also includes a review of 64 vaccination studies of the elderly across nearly 100 flu seasons. The studies showed flu vaccines were ineffective in preventing the flu in either nursing home patients or elderly living in the community.[9]

· A study published in the Lancet last year found that influenza vaccination was NOT associated with a reduced risk of pneumonia in older people. This supports a study done five years ago, published in The New England Journal of Medicine.

· Research published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine also confirms that there has been no decrease in deaths from influenza and pneumonia, despite the fact that vaccination coverage among the elderly has increased from 15 percent in 1980 to 65 percent now.

Last year, researchers with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and the National Institutes of Health published this conclusion in the Lancet Infectious Diseases:

“We conclude that frailty selection bias and use of non-specific endpoints such as all-cause mortality have led cohort studies to greatly exaggerate vaccine benefits.”

Flu Vaccines Pose Significant Health Risks to Your Children

Most flu vaccines contain dangerous levels of mercury in the form of thimerosal, a deadly preservative that is 50 times more toxic than regular mercury.[10] If taken in high enough doses, it can result in long-term immune, sensory, neurological, motor, and behavioral dysfunctions.

Disorders associated with mercury poisoning include autism, attention deficit disorder, multiple sclerosis, and speech and language deficiencies.

The Institute of Medicine has warned that infants, children, and pregnant women should not be injected with thimerosal, and yet the majority of flu shots contain 25 micrograms of it.

I've never understood the claim that children who've suffered febrile seizures went on to fully recover. How does anyone know whether breathing continued adequately, whether brain cells died, or what the child's full developmental potential might have been?

I don't know that I agree that vaccines don't ever prevent full-blown expression of disease. An example is measles disappearing overnight, going from around 5,000,000 cases a year to almost nothing, when the measles vaccine was introduced.

I don't think it prevents mild or subclinical cases, however, which have their own mostly unexamined issues.

But even if they were to prevent all disease, fully expressed or not, the question in my mind is: at what cost? What are the risks compared to the benefits? Since to understand that you need to be minimally comparing the vaccinated to the never-vaccinated, we simply do not know the answer to that question.

We are smack dab in the middle of a coincidence epidemic.

Patrons, I liked your null hypothesis idea and Becky, the "seizures are actually good for your child" (sad as that really is) made me grin; I could see them actually trying to pull that off!

I've also read that 'they' are hypothesizing that there is simply an increase in reporting of seizures in the US due to the news coverage of the increased seizure activity during the Australian flu season. Seriously....hardly any news outlets ran that story here in the US. Such nonsense. Plus, if the seizures were happening in kids already prone to febrile seizures, I doubt this would be getting any attention.

Third graders in my state and others get tested for AG (academic giftedness) and one of the key things testers and school administrators look for is the ability to make logical and meaningful connections.

I'm waiting on the CDC to spin it that febrile seizures are actually a GOOD thing.

Can you imagine them releasing a statement that says...

Febrile seizures actually indicate an increased immunity to the flu!

Studies show that children who suffered from febrile seizures as infants scored higher on a certain test of childhood memory recall. (Nevermind that this "certain test" consisted of only one question which was "Did your parents tell you that you had a febrile seizure as an infant?" That's how the CDC likes to set up *objective* studies ya know!)

This is precisely why public health officials .. such as .. the FDA in this instance .. are losing their battle in the "court of public opinion".

If law enforcement officials were informed that 42 children had been injured following their contact with a person .. even though they did not have enough evidence to bring charges against that person in a court of law .. hopefully .. the LAST thing law enforcement officials would do is assume that person is not a threat to children .. and .. recommend that parents "continue to place their child in that person's care".

Indeed, in most criminal investigations .. if a person has both a "motive" and the "opportunity" to commit the crime .. that person becomes a "suspect" .. or at the very least a "person of interest".

While forensic science may FIND evidence that exonerates the person of interest .. but .. a person of interest who has both motive and opportunity is going to jail if his only defense is to claim he has NO EVIDENCE that proves him INNOCENT.

In my humble opinion .. the FDA ought not dismiss any link between flu vaccines and 42 seizures in children .. on the grounds they have NO EVIDENCE TO PROVE FLU VACCINES WERE BLAMELESS.
