VACCINES CAUSE AUTISM

It drives me crazy how Offit is a doppelganer for the Dwarf Dad in "Little People Big World!"

To Mike, I know that it may seem to you that people on AOA are just anti vaccine- But you have to reflect on the fact that these are all parents who trusted their doctors and the public health officials, gave all the mandated or recommended vaccines and then saw their normal baby lose touch with reality and in some cases suffer great pain. They dont want this to happen to one more child. Under the anger and sarcasm are people who want to see other children saved from the fate of autism. I am not an autism parent, but I have seen with my own eyes the appearance of autism for the first time in my school in Delhi in about 1994 and now I have to see several cases , from very mild to moderate autism every year.(MY school only has 50-60 kids per year !)Those kids would not have been autistic if they had been born 25 years ago or even 20 years ago. I have had kids in my school who became deaf after DTP vaccines and there is a handicapped mom in my school now who got polio after the polio drops as a child (Yes, that is a known phenomenon) Probably many of us here would still give some vaccines, very very carefully, if we had to do it again, but believe me, the story of vaccines is not what you imagine. Start researching the topic of vaccine "adverse events" and you will be dismayed at how you were ignorant of the facts and truth, just as we were at one time

Autism Grandma, I love the analogy. By chance, last evening I thought of another one. I was watching my grandkids play a board game and somehow the old game called Clue came to mind. As I recall, one had to find out who committed a crime, how and where- so it would be something like "In the kitchen with the pistol"
Our vaccine Clue game would say "In the hospital with the Hep B vaccine" -(With apologies if my sense of humour is over the top here.)

MAKE AUTISM STOP

The same Paul Offit conducted "continuing medical education(CME)" courses for pediatricians, which would provide them with techniques to make parents "feel" like they were making an "informed" decision regarding vaccinations. The course description specifically stated, "parents would not of course be making an informed decision, but pediatricians would be taught ways to make them feel like they had."

Just before Halloween, someone posted this photo with Offit as the GRIM REAPER wearing a hooded black cloak and the reaper sickle over his head. It was just too perfectly evil and perfectly appropriate. If a picture is worth a thousand words that picture is worth a trillion words.

I was hoping that Age of Autism would post this, but I am wondering if perhaps there is any legal liability in doing that??? Why would there be though, when there have been all kinds of terribly unfair racist images of Obama, and he's the president, and Offit is just a financially compensated industry spokesperson ...and the Grim Reaper image of Offit is totally justified.

I'm wondering how "a new framework for communicating with parents" could really be anything other than a rehashing of the old "talking points" which ignores the otherwise unexplained nationwide epidemics of immune damage in our children and the quality of "science" that supports the current practices.

Is this more like an exercise in saying "Take heart, fellow peds, we have proof that our public outreach efforts are not a complete and total epic fail. Keep up the good fight!" by holding up an autism parent who does not believe vaccination has a possible role?

It does not feel like we are being educated. It feels like being intimidated. It feels like a scare tactic. The worst case of what is possible if you don't fill your child with this crap. IT screams desperation. CDC and DR OFFIT, stop being so desperate. It is very sad.

He has a sort of a "Adolf Hitler of vaccines" persona ...

Every time I see that picture I want to go hide under the covers. He is such a creep. And no Wendy, he does look sinister. Not a bias. Who would hold a baby that isn't theirs, stepping out of the darkness like a freaking boogie man with a smirk on their face and call it good publicity? And look at the baby's face. It's like "Oh shit! It's got me! Somebody help me!"

But this is beside the point, Benedetta is correct this is not 'education' this is indoctrination.

We need to know about what Singer and friends are up to....
