Dr. Mayer Eisenstein's New Book Merits Close Attention
By Anne Dachel
I never thought I'd ever personally know a lot of real authors-people with actual books that I could find on Amazon. Incredibly, I currently do. Here's my ever-expanding list of names: David Kirby, Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, Bob Sears, MD, Dr. Todd Elsner, Dan Olmsted and Mark Blaxill, John and Stephen Oller, Andrew Wakfield, MD, and Kim Stagliano.
These are people I'm in touch with everyday and who've written on autism and on vaccines. Some I've had on my threads for years. And as someone who's been active in the national autism community for a long time, I've seen tremendous changes. More and more people are speaking out. We are now an organized and united group, thanks mainly to the power of the Internet. Our message has severely eroded confidence in the cornerstone of health care: THE CHILDHOOD VACCINE PROGRAM. (And keep in mind that there are many more experts writing about this, people I've never been in contact with, all challenging the unwavering safety claims of our health officials.)
Another incredible name on my list is Mayer Eisenstein, MD, JD, MPH, the director of Homefirst Medical Service in Chicago HERE. Dan Olmsted made Homefirst famous in 2005 when he wrote about it in his series of articles called The Age of Autism.
"But thousands of children cared for by Homefirst Health Services in metropolitan Chicago have at least two things in common with thousands of Amish children in rural Lancaster: They have never been vaccinated. And they don't have autism.
"'We have a fairly large practice. We have about 30,000 or 35,000 children that we've taken care of over the years, and I don't think we have a single case of autism in children delivered by us who never received vaccines,' said Dr. Mayer Eisenstein, Homefirst's medical director who founded the practice in 1973. Homefirst doctors have delivered more than 15,000 babies at home, and thousands of them have never been vaccinated."
That piece first brought Dr. Eisenstein to my attention. Eventually I contacted him and found out just how passionate he is about protecting the health of children.
Despite the fact that he's up against the powerful mainstream medical community, financially backed by the pharmaceutical industry, he doesn't stop. Last year, I was a guest speaker along with Amy Carson (Moms Against Mercury) on the webinar series, Medical Voices. Dr. Eisenstein is on the board of directors of Medical Voices and they've compiled an incredible series of talks by top experts, exposing the damaging side effects of vaccines.
This last month, at a conference in Wisconsin Dells, I had the opportunity to meet the man I've had long conversations with on the phone. He was one of a number of excellent speakers offering help and hope to the public.
Recently, I finished reading the latest book by Dr. Eisenstein (written with Neil Z. Miller) called, Make an Informed Vaccine Decision-For the Health of Your Child.
(HERE)
On the cover is an endorsement from Jerry Kartzinel, MD, FAAP. He says, 'A MUST READ! Parents will be prepared to make truly informed decisions that can affect their children for generations to come.' (You may remember Dr. Kartzinel from Larry King Live last year. (HERE) )
Make an Informed Vaccine Decision is a straightforward book that goes through each vaccine on the childhood schedule. (See the Generation Rescue ad that ran in USA TODAY (HERE). This list doesn't include the H1N1 and Gardasil vaccines that have since been added but which are covered in Dr. Eisenstein's book)
Dr. Eisenstein systematically, chapter by chapter, informs the reader about each individual vaccine and the disease it's supposed to prevent. What really shocked me about this approach was that for each and every vaccine, there's a list of life-threatening side effects and safety considerations. At the end of each chapter, under Notes, the reader can find a listing of articles by experts on the damage connected with the particular vaccine that have been published in professional journals. There is a massive amount of research challenging the endless safety claims we're always getting. How could all this expert work exist and yet no one ever brings it up? According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, every vaccine is extensively tested and parents have nothing to worry about as they face the lineup of seven or eight vaccines at a well-baby visit. They're regularly told that side effects only include redness at the injection site and slight fever.
Along with each vaccine is a list of VAERS reports (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. VAERS is a place for anyone, including parents, to report adverse reactions following a vaccination. On the website it states, "VAERS receives around 30,000 reports annually, with 13% classified as serious (e.g., associated with disability, hospitalization, life-threatening illness or death)."
Considering that millions of vaccines are administered each year, that may not sound like such a bad percentage of adverse reactions, but consider that even VAERS acknowledges that damage is underreported. Most estimates are that VAERS only hears about 1 percent of side effects. Most parents having their children vaccinated are never told that VAERS exists.
It's hard to know where to start when it comes to what this book says about reactions. Every vaccine that Dr. Eisenstein writes about has a long list of VAERS reports.
These are a few examples:
Flu Vaccine:
#298905: A 6-month-old boy received a flu shot and collapsed while eating breakfast the next day. He was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead.
#295043: A 2-year-old boy received a flu shot and died two hours later.
#330148: A 10-month-old boy received a flu shot and died the next day.
#232179: A 20-month-old boy received a flu vaccine and was found dead in the early morning about 16-20 hours after the flu vaccine. The autopsy report stated SIDS.
Polio (IPV) Vaccine:
#112738: A 4-month-old girl received IPV, fell asleep and upon waking "had a sick sounding cry and did not have control of facial muscles." Her face was drooping and she could not smile.
#160203: A 4-month-old girl received IPV, had cardiac arrest and died the following day.
#209102: A one-year-old boy received his third dose of IPV and later that day started having seizures. He was rushed to the hospital and intubated. The child was transferred to the pediatric intensive care unit for additional treatment.
#234886: A 5-year-old girl received the IPV and one week later developed polydipsia and polyuria (excessive thirst and urination). She was subsequently diagnosed with insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, hyperglycemia, and immune disorder.
MMR Vaccine:
#36455: A 14-month-old boy developed apnea, brain edema, cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis and subarachnoid hemorrhage two days after receiving the MMR. He died three days later.
#51544: A 20-month-old baby received MMR, stopped eating and died the following day.
#41319: An 18-month-old received the MMR vaccine and 13 days later began seizuring, stopped breathing and went into cardiac arrest. He was hospitalized for 14 days.
#34373: A 15-month old boy developed a rash on his body three days after receiving MMR, became flaccid, was rushed to the hospital and died.
Hepatitis B Vaccine:
#106271: A 4-month-old boy received the HepB vaccine, developed acute diarrhea, went into a coma, and died that evening.
#49035: A 7-month-old girl received the HepB vaccine, developed a cerebral hemorrhage and died four days later.
#160183: A 9-month-old baby received the HepB vaccine and died 18 hours later.
#173745: A 1-1/2-year-old girl received the HepB vaccine and later that evening was pronounced dead with profuse bleeding from her mouth and nose.
Gardasil Vaccine:
#274941: A 15-year-old girl lost consciousness and had tonic convulsions approximately 5-10 minutes after receiving her first dose of Gardasil.
#275438: A 19-year-old teenager collapsed and died two weeks after receiving the HPV shot. The autopsy revealed large blood clots in the heart.
#277788: A 16-year-old teenager received her second dose of the HPV vaccine. Three days later, she had her first seizure and was taken to the emergency room. She was admitted to the hospital that evening with a grand mal seizure.
#276255: A 14-year-old teenager was vaccinated with Gardasil. According to her physician, she subsequently developed GBS and required hospitalization.
I'm sure it's obvious where I'm going with all this. Federal health officials and mainstream medicine do not accept that there's any causation connected to a VAERS report. They're only coincidental and anecdotal accounts. They prove nothing. When normally developing, otherwise healthy children die, sometimes within hours of receiving a certain vaccine and the incident is submitted, nothing more happens.
One thing Dr. Eisenstein included under the DTaP Vaccine (pp 70-71) was this information about how the makers of the vaccine have protected themselves:
"What do the DTaP vaccine manufacturers say?
"A recent check of the most current product data sheets published by DTaP vaccine manufacturers ...revealed dire warnings Pertussis (DPT and DTaP) 71 of irreversible risks and an extensive list of serious adverse reactions that have been reported following receipt of the DTaP shot. The following list includes "events which have a probable causal connection to components" of the DTaP vaccine: anaphylactic reactions, encephalopathy, neuropathy, brachial neuritis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system, lymphadenopathy, bulging fontanelle, cranial mononeuropathy, seizures, grand mal convulsions, high-pitched cry, persistent cry, screaming, hypotonic/hyporesponsive episodes, cellulitis, cyanosis, thrombocytopenia, anorexia, diarrhea, vomiting, ear pain, autism, apnea, difficulty breathing, and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)."
(It should be pointed out that this information was immediately revised when it came to the attention of the public. SEE: HERE. Suddenly, the word "autism" was removed from the "events which have a probable causal connection" to the DTaP vaccine.)
Dr. Eisenstein told us that vaccine maker know how dangerous this vaccine is. Incredibly, the medical community and health authorities see nothing alarming in this. They continue to tell us that vaccines don't cause autism, regardless of what the people making the vaccine say.
This book is an excellent summary of information on each vaccine recommended for children. It's concise and understandable. If parents want a handy guide to take with them for the next well-baby visit, this would be a great choice. When the nurse lines up the battery of vaccines intended for the child, I can imagine a parent hauling out Make an Informed Vaccine Decision and pointing out the concerns associated with each one. And if the doctor isn't willing to accommodate the parent who objects to the barrage of shots aimed a particular boy or girl, maybe the parent should consider finding a doctor who will.

Thank you all--we are on full stop giving our daughter any vaccine until we know more --this article was enough to freak me out. Our Newport Beach boutique doctors certainly did not point out any of this information to us even though we requested direction on information from reputable sources from both sides. If there is a timeline of vaccine drug release names and cases of autism that would be great to see. Also how the financials work---where the money comes from and where it goes -- a large potion must be taxpayer money. This industry was broke and then a massive resurgence but what are the numbers? I will get busy--thanks again.

Anne - Thanks for the info about Mayer Eisenstein's book and links to his website, and the articles by Dan Olmsted. I am appalled that I cannot find Dr. Eisenstein's books in any of the public libraries near me. Tomorrow I plan to request them via inter-library loan.
I agree with the comment by DebinIL that minimally invasive birthing may also help prevent autism. Oxygen deficiency at birth can injure the auditory pathway in the brain. Evidence of this, available for more than 50 years, is totally ignored by mainstream obstetrics.
The current obstetric protocol of clamping the umbilical cord immediately at birth is dangerous. The Amish follow the old and now forgotten tradition of allowing pulsations of the umbilical cord to cease before cutting it. See

Lisa, I enjoyed listening, thanks for writing.
You are wise to question a religion, and brave. You are braver than I, and wiser too.
I am sorry that you have to worry, that the problem has not been fixed. I am sorry for further damaged children.

So after Dr Eisenstein has written this book on vaccines, can he 'recommend' a safe course to follow? Because I am guessing, and I totally agree, that a safe vaccine is no vaccine. My daughter is 3 1/2 and has a cousin with Asperger's and my brother - her dad- has MS. I did not want to give any vax to my daughter based on these hereditary conditions, but my husband, and of course, the doctors advocate for the vaccines. Right now she has only had IPV and that was started when she was 2 1/2. I guess my frustration is that every dr I talk to who is supportive of vaccine skepticism tells me that it's MY decision and that they can't tell me what to do. Dr Fior told me that vaccines are like religion and you can't change people's minds so easily. My mom is an RN and she drives me crazy, but she also acknowledges that my brother screamed like crazy for days after the MMR shot. I guess in the mid 70's that was a new combo, and my mom thought it'd be good due to fewer needle sticks. Now my brother has MS and his daughter has Aspergers. And although we had a great aunt with MS, I still believe that the MMR has something to do with it. Thanks for listening!!!

Dr. Eisenstein has a fan page on facebook so check it out if you like! I hope to get this book for my library too and spread the word. I shudder when I think about my cousin's son dying from SIDS at 3 months. We have Aspergers, ADD and now PDD-NOS in the family.

I have a growing stack of books by "our people" and will add this one to the happy club. Dr. Eisenstein seems like a lovely individual. He went personally to meet a friend of mine who took her son in for an emergency appointment.

Great Post, Anne - I will certainly be ordering a copy of Mayer’s new book. Since we are now labeled by the orthodox medical establishment and mainstream media as "crazy people", perhaps we should adopt the phrase vaccine-associated brain injury, instead of autism. Autism is far from being the only vaccinosis associated with jabs. If the aluminum-containing inoculations promote blood clotting, e.g. Gardasil, and generate microemboli, these emboli could end up in which ever vascular bed the circulation takes them, e.g. the heart. I'm not a pathologist, but couldn't even the non-aluminum containing jabs generate a so-called Schwartzman phenomenon, to explain at least part of their toxicity.

The VAERS reports sit in a very large pile at the CDC,
no one looks ever at them and no one would ever attempt to determine a vaccine problem from them...
This is a bit like having only one Toyoto dealership in the nation where each accelerator has to evaluated on an individual basis. ...
no matter how many reports of the same damn thing they see...

He also notes that his practice has rare instances of other childhood epidemics, such as diabetes, asthma, etc. He's been preaching from the start how breastmilk is best for your baby, and so is a minimally invasive birthing experience. They've been ahead of the curve with Vitamin D3 research and I increased my son's D3 before his DAN recommended it (and he potty trained within one week of the increase).

I think he's awesome solely because his name is "Eisenstein."
Oh, and those stats turn my stomach.

another one for my ever expanding library!

Excellent information that needs to get "out there" - the ONLY way we are going to change things is by supporting doctors who are willing to be responsible for the vaccine protocol they recommend rather than the docs who are blindly adding more and more as they are recommended by the government and pharma companies. It is so hard to change the norm whenever big bucks are behind promoting that norm. The results of the "safety studies" are right in front of us every day - increases in autism, ADHD, depression, alzheimers, fibromyalgia, anxiety disorders, ear infections, allergies, auto-immune diseases, the list goes on and on. Combine that information with what we read from the courageous individuals trying to figure out why using ALL the science (including looking closely at health recovery stories) -We will eventually create change in the right direction.
Age of Autism, keep the great posts coming! Thanks!!

Super informative, thanks Anne.
However, what is blatant disinformation is broadcast every day by Autism Speaks ads on major radio stations in the Washington, DC Metro area.
The Autism Speaks ads keep citing one in 166 kids are on the autistic spectrum, yet over three months ago, the CDC officially announced "that between 1 in 80 and 1 in 240 children with an average of 1 in 110 have an ASD. This is a prevalence of about 1% of children."
Autism Speaks also sides with the official stance that vaccines are not an autism-risk, so I wonder what part of their funding is from the pharmaceutical industry. Anybody know?
