Congratulations to those warrior mothers, Teresa & Cathy! And to AoA for recognizing their worth.
The Bears couldn't be prouder of their Cat!
As Papa & Mama Bear to Cathy & Bridget's children, we have loved hearing about their birth and development through emails from their moms. When Ronan began his journey from wellness to darkness, Cathy's essays became an additional means of loving, crying, laughing, sharing and especially action motivated by righteous anger. The silver lining of Ronan's fight is how our immediate and extended family have been brought closer to each other.
Those who read Cathy's essays may never know the "rest of the story" concerning all the battles Cathy & Steve have fought and are fighting for Ronan.
May God bless them most lavishly for their bravery and trust. May the Good Friday that Ronan and his parents have endured lead to an Easter Sunday of healing and recovery.

Journalism is not dead, its just in concentrated form; robust, undiluted, and honest at the Age of Autism.

Thank you, AoA and all the supporters who read, comment and inspire me to continue to write! I've been on cloud nine all day. Congrats to Teresa too--your articles are always very moving.

Well thank you AoA and all of your wonderful readers! I love my new spot, too - right between 'Science' and 'Treatment'- kind of an appropriate place for me =]

What a great day! I read everything written by these two visionaries and we know that beautiful and insightful writing is just the half of it. Behind the scenes, they are even more.
What strikes me with increasing clarity about this addition is how little our side resembles the other. That's always been true-- it just becomes more apparent with each extraordinary person added to the roster. That's a victory in itself.
I look forward to clicking on their names in the sidebar when I frequently go back to reference their work. And I'll smile when I do it.
Much love, warmth and appreciation to the new editors here. A perfect way to start out "Action" month.

I can't speak on Teresa's writing, though I am sure it is fan-stinkin-tastic, but I can definitely say that my sister Cathy's writing is moving, powerful, and exactly what this world needs to read and understand. Cat, I am so proud of you. You are truly a blessing to Ronan and all of your family (including mine!). God is so good and will give you the strength you need to keep fighting the good fight. Love you!

Teresa and Cathy are the best!
They are always bringing in new information - they work so hard to digest new information and then work just as hard to spoon feed it to us so we can understand it.
Thanks

Tim I tried to think of something to add to your comment and I can't, what you said is perfect. I have always looked forward to their insight and stories of accomplishment. I am a better man, father and my son has benefited from their love and selfless devotion to their own children and their fight to carry the message to the front-lines.
