Sarah_palin7320 An Important Alert From our friends at the National Autism Association. Senator McCain, please help us to protect our children from harmful restraint and seclusion. The bill has bi-partisan support in the House. Your running mate's toddler faces this problem when he goes to school. We ask you to help protect him, and all of our children. Please. Thank you.

ACTION ALERT!

MANY REPUBLICAN LAWMAKERS ARE OPPOSED TO FEDERAL LAWS THAT PREVENT HARMFUL RESTRAINT AND SECLUSION IN SCHOOLS.

PLEASE TAKE TWO MINUTES TO HELP KEEP OUR KIDS SAFE! Responding is quick and easy! Go the the NAA Action Center!

Dear Parents,

Your help is needed with S.2860, the Preventing Harmful Restraint & Seclusion In Schools Act, introduced by Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT). The House version of the bill, which aims to prevent and end dangerous restraint and seclusion in schools, passed in early March thanks to sponsors Congressman George Miller (D-CA) and Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA). Now we need a co-sponsor on the Republican side to help the senate version pass. WILL YOU HELP? IT ONLY TAKES A FEW CLICKS.

WHAT WE NEED:
Click HERE to write Senator John McCain and ask him to CO-SPONSOR S.2860, the Preventing Harmful Restraint & Seclusion In Schools Act

WHEN WE NEED IT:
TODAY! FRIDAY 3/26

WHY WE NEED IT:
Currently NO FEDERAL LAWS EXIST TO PREVENT DANGEROUS RESTRAINT AND SECLUSION IN SCHOOLS. Nineteen States have NO REGULATIONS. Children in special-ed classrooms have been abused and killed due to improper and abusive restraint and seclusion methods. This is a CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUE and should not be left up to States alone.

Responding is quick and easy! Go the the NAA Action Center!

"Apparently there are still a lot of snakes, alligators and lizards down there like Henry Waxman (D-CA) and others taking pharmaceutical money."

Sorry, I forgot to include Rats. Plenty of those too.

Just like state laws on vaccine exemptions this should be done on a state level not Federal level.

Remember the 1986 Federal law on vaccines where they pushed through the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) and the 3 year limitation law on lawsuits filed for adverse reactions? That was a Federal law and Barbara Fisher of NVIC was involved with that.

What good did it do?

It certainly didn't help our families and others that could have filed cases in Federal Court.

Talking about the Federal Court and families with kids with autism how is that working out? Very few families are winning these cases. That shouldn't be and very unfortunate for the kids and their families.
But what do you expect from these midgets in Washington DC. We had giants in the land with our Founding Fathers who believed in God and Country. Now we have mental midgets
in Washington DC.

So working through the Federal government is a waste of time. Nancy Pelosi said she would drain the swamp when she was the majority leader as per............

Apparently there are still a lot of snakes, alligators and lizards down there like Henry Waxman (D-CA) and others taking pharmaceutical money.

Others can deal with the Federal government, I would rather deal with my local state representatives. The only time these people can't do damage to the rest of us is when there is a snowstorm or they are on vacation. Otherwise.....look out!!!

Good luck with the snakes, lizards and alligators!!!!
