Vaccination News 2010 Launch!

Subscribe Managing Editor's Note: We invite you to subscribe to Vaccination News. From the newly re-launched Vaccination News site:

Vaccination News is published in order to provide a wide range of news and views on vaccinations and vaccination policy. By providing all sides of the vaccination controversy, it is believed the public/consumer will be best equipped to make reasoned decisions regarding vaccination use, decisions which will have profound implications for them and their family’s health. By providing all sides of the vaccination controversy, it is also believed that readers will recognize both the complexity of the controversy and the dearth of good information available to them.

Among the views provided will be those of the publisher and Editor Sandy Gottstein (aka Mintz) on a variety of vaccination related issues and news, including commentary on breaking news items. Her long-running column Scandals can be found HERE.

Vaccination News is not against an informed parent choosing to vaccinate his or her child. Vaccination News is against bad science being used to justify forcing parents to vaccinate. It is against bad science being used to convince a parent to vaccinate. And it is against a parent, any parent, being forced to do something that has even a remote chance of harming their child.

What all parents deserve is good information, untainted by conflict of interest, on the safety of vaccines. They deserve the right to choose whether or not to vaccinate their children. And those that choose to vaccinate, after weighing the known benefits and risks, deserve safer vaccines.

Thank you, Beth. I couldn't have said it better. And thank you for your support. It means more to me than you can ever know.

Also, my apologies to everyone. One of the links in the comments that I provided doesn't work. It should not have a parentheses as part of it. Anyway, it should be http://www.vaccinationnews.com.

Sandy, your website has played a crucial role in my self education about vaccines.

I believe Jenny M. called it "Google U."

What I have found so tragic is reading the same news stories from all over the world - where a parent takes a child to get vaccinated, and the child changes drastically that day and many times dies. The authorities are quick on the scene to investigate any link between the vaccines and the health tragedy, and then the same thing happens like clockwork. The very next day the followup news reports quote some public health bigwig who dismisses the vaccine connection entirely.

Children all over the world die or become disabled or extremely sick immediately following vaccines and this gets reported because the local health contacts who gave the shots concur, this child was healthy this morning and now he is not. But then the regional or global health authorities get involved and they always say the same thing: it's a coincidence.

It's kind of like "Mr. Clean" from Pulp Fiction is at work - he's there on the scene in less than 10 minutes. He says, "I solve problems."

It's a problem for people to have legitimate vaccine safety concerns, thus such concerns simply cannot be allowed, and the way to achieve that is to dismiss and deny the link that others witnessed.

Its the same sad story for all the autism parents who can report definitively that their child regressed into autism after a round of shots. The link with vaccines is always dismissed and the "coincidence" story plays on.

I wish someone wealthy would donate $60K a year to vaccinationnews so that you can keep the site free and open for all to see. The info is so vital, and needs to be accessible by all...imo.

But of course until that day comes I will happily pay the $25 subscription fee!

Those of you who are on the fence about subscribing to Vaccination News might want to read the testimonials (http://vaccinationnews.com/testimonials) and consider the fact that David Kirby said he could not have written "Evidence of Harm" without the site. Even if you don't have time to spend at the site yourself, just think, you might be helping future David Kirbys (or David himself)! And the subscription only amounts to about $2/mo for a year-long one, so hopefully it is not prohibitive for most. Also, please consider whether or not you want the site to fold, as I simply cannot afford anymore (never really could, actually!) to pay the $40,000+ it costs me each year. We need all the help we can get.

And thanks to those who have already subscribed.

All the best,
Sandy
