Adventures in Autism Blog on the Sebelius Insel Call
Ginger Taylor tells it like it is over at her blog, Adventures in Autism. Read the full post at her AinA.
Today in a conference call with Kathleen Sebelius and Thomas Insel, HHS told a small circle of autism groups that they would be releasing the new 1 in 100 autism rate on Monday.
They cautioned however, that they didn't know if the increase was a real increase or whether greater awareness... changes in measurement methods... better diagnosis... blah blah blah... because apparently our government doesn't even read their own publications.
The whole thing was so predictable that I could have written it for them yesterday...
Ginger, It's the 70th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz and I think the Scarecrow's comment is appropriate for those like Inselbelius and those in the media who do "an awful (emphasis on the awful) lot of talking about autism.
SCARECROW: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?

Great as ever, keep on writing Ginger!!
p.s. curious as to why you let that lowlife take up any space on your blog? he has nothing to contribute, no point of view or information that could help shed light on autism or help our kids in any way or form. Your/our time is precious, lets not waste it on hopeless idiots.
