You Can Run But You Can't Hide
Solving the Autism Puzzle – The Fatty Acid Question and “Big, Fat Neurons”!

Cave Walls

Moonwalk By Kim Stagliano

May 25, 1961, President Kennedy declares before Congress that America is to send a man to the moon before the end of the decade. July 20, 1969. Mission accomplished.

October 1939, President Roosevelt is warned of the possibility of nuclear weapons. In 1941, The Manhattan project is launched. August 6 and 9, 1945, Hiroshima and Nagasaki are destroyed by US nuclear bombs.

1943, Dr. Leo Kanner first describes autism. 66 years later, we're still drawing bison on cave walls with sticks.

Kim Stagliano is Managing Editor of Age of Autism.

I believe you should put this on a t-shirt also.

Kim, If you were aa politician getting paid big money to look the other way it would all become crystal clear.

Neanderthals, low diversity, high number of mitochondrial mutations.

Good point Kim. In the case of Roosevelt and Kennedy, there wasn't a vast array of corruption, collusion, and cover-up involved. Lots of people out here with everything at stake in denying this is happening.

When you unite people against a common enemy you can do a lot.

Unfortunately, in autism (and global warming) the enemy is us.

The first step is admitting you've got a problem. With the German's bombing Britain or the Russians returning a man from space it was pretty easy to see the problem. With autism we're still in denial.

Maybe Mark and David should have pounded their shoes on the table at the briefing and yelled, "Autism will bury you" a la Khrushchev.

The Neaderthals went extinct didn't they?

Some people in medical community like the comfort of the cave.. they hide in the dark and never venture into the real world.

Fortuntately there are others who are bold and are interested in exploring the world beyond the cave. They are pioneers. They are our hope.

That's right, Kim... and our kids sometimes draw frescoe abstracts on their BEDROOM walls with something OTHER than sticks!!! (color of choice? Brown!)
