Talk About Curing Autism Family Scholarships Available
Managing Editor's Note: I'm so proud that TACA sponsors Age of Autism. Started as a "kitchen table" organization by parents, they've grown to being a powerhouse of tangible support for families facing the challenges of autism. Thank you, TACA.
TACA is pleased to announce a new program for TACA families – the Family Scholarship Grants. Raising a child with autism is expensive - TACA would like to help. Purpose: The TACA Family Scholarship Fund was developed to help families who are pursuing treatment for their children with autism, but are struggling to find the funding. We understand how difficult it is to stretch the family budget to include things like, DAN doctors, independent evaluations or conference registration. It is our desire to provide limited financial assistance to qualified families.

The "Treatment" category is sponsored by Lee Silsby, the leader in quality compounded medications for autism.
There is a scholarship fund for financially disadvantaged children with autism. The website is at http://www.autismgrant.org/

I completely agree, but also, as a big sister to an autistic eight year old looking to enter a college in todays economic stand by, feel more scholarships need to be avalible for siblings of autistic individuals.
I love my brother, and I would hate to take chances for treatment away from him, but in order to be anything in todays world, college is insanely important.

My son is 8 years old. His para educator Tammy is a single mom with 2 children. Her oldest Jake is a 10 year old boy with autism. After spending seven hours inspiring my son she gets a half hour break while driving home. She then puts on her supermom hat raises her daughter and works with her son which includes his waking every 2 hours throughout the night.
This morning she told me that her son was meeting all of his goals until he was vaccinated. DAN treatments have had a great effect on my son. If there is a scholarship program for DAN treatments I can't think of anyone more deserving than Tammy and Jake. Any information that could help me help them would be appreciated.
