ANNE DACHEL LETTER TO THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE
Click HERE to read our Media Editor Anne Dachel's letter to the Chicago Tribune, about the AAP letter sent by Dr. Jenkins, in response to Julie Deardorff's blog entry.
Here's a taste:
It's difficult to understand what Dr. Renee Jenkins, head of the American Academy of Pediatrics, hopes to achieve by publicly chastising reporter Julie Deardorff for daring to voice the concerns of parents over vaccine safety and the failure of the medical community to alleviate those fears.
Some day journalists who make outstanding contributions to the public good will receive the the Anne McElroy Dachel Award for Tenacity.

My comment on the Trib blog
Thanks Anne for ALL that you do!

I do not think anyone here is saying "conspiracy". The message seems to be one of safety. Thimerosal is a big concern and has not been eliminated. Instead, it has been added into fetuses(pregnancy), and infants, and reduced in the childhood schedule. That decision has shown families and vaccine participants that their concerns have not been taken seriously. In addition, the lack of safety studies on live viruses, thimerosal, aluminum, and many toxins being combined, especially at vulnerable developmental stages, is not only ethically wrong, but morally wrong as well.
Thank you Julie Deardorff for having the integrity to protect our children and future children. Thank you Anne Dachel for not allowing Dr. Renee Jenkins of the AAP as she attempts to minimize the vaccine-autism connection while using Julie Deardorff as a scapegoat. When will the AAP stop pushing unsafe products to us, the consumer, and to individualize the vaccine schedule? That should be Dr. Jenkins goals instead of this pathetic infomercial.
